[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. [00:00:13] Speaker B: And remember, do your part. Such as, like, comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend. [00:00:19] Speaker A: To tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:32] Speaker C: Now, where did we leave off? [00:00:36] Speaker D: Ah, yes. [00:00:39] Speaker C: Our heroes successfully defeated Mother, the matriarch of the Eredsson family, even as she mocked them, saying they had already lost. As Mother fell, Einar's presence in the timeline faded and he disappeared from their reality. [00:01:05] Speaker E: I'd like to mention. I know. I'd like to mention that she may not be an Eridson. By the way. She could just be playing head games. [00:01:13] Speaker F: Who's she? [00:01:14] Speaker A: Who's she? [00:01:15] Speaker E: Val. [00:01:16] Speaker F: Val who's playing head games? Mother or Val? [00:01:18] Speaker E: Mother could have just been like, yeah, you know what? Here's something to screw your head over. [00:01:24] Speaker B: I think that's not correct. Cuz I feel like there have been other things that are pointing to Val being an arson. [00:01:29] Speaker F: That is not correct. [00:01:30] Speaker A: Now that I think. [00:01:31] Speaker F: Because according to the encyclopedia, you know. [00:01:35] Speaker A: Now that I look at Val over there, she really looks like an Aon. [00:01:41] Speaker F: It looks like she could be related to, you know, Spelta. [00:01:46] Speaker A: Yeah, you know, it could. [00:01:48] Speaker E: I refuse. That's all. [00:01:56] Speaker B: No. [00:01:57] Speaker D: Just no. [00:01:58] Speaker F: How about yes. [00:02:01] Speaker B: Maybe? [00:02:02] Speaker F: Okay. [00:02:02] Speaker A: We sure about that? [00:02:03] Speaker E: You know, creating images is really hard sometimes. Especially when you don't have the vision. [00:02:08] Speaker A: I know. [00:02:09] Speaker B: I've been sitting here watching you, and I can't wait to see what you make. [00:02:11] Speaker D: I think a lot of people make stuff without any vision. [00:02:14] Speaker A: They do. [00:02:16] Speaker C: I mean, you've been to the theater recently, haven't you? [00:02:23] Speaker F: Well, you don't like movies in general. [00:02:25] Speaker B: To be fair. [00:02:26] Speaker C: My secret is out. [00:02:28] Speaker D: You know the movie I just saw, A lot of these characters in this party need to go and see. [00:02:34] Speaker E: Okay, fun fact. [00:02:35] Speaker F: Which one is it? [00:02:36] Speaker D: Thunderbolts. Oh. Literally everything you were saying off mic before, I'm like, that was addressed in that movie. [00:02:42] Speaker F: What was I saying? Off mic? [00:02:43] Speaker D: You know, I don't. I don't know. [00:02:46] Speaker B: I recently saw Death of a Unicorn. That was a good movie. [00:02:49] Speaker C: That sounds sad. [00:02:50] Speaker B: It was sad. [00:02:52] Speaker D: It looks weird. [00:02:53] Speaker B: It is weird. It is a movie where you go in and it's like, this is what the movie is. And you're like, okay, let's go. [00:03:01] Speaker E: So I was just at Walmart and you know what I found in the clearance aisle? Madame Web. [00:03:08] Speaker D: Did you buy Jack a copy? [00:03:09] Speaker A: Blu Ray? [00:03:10] Speaker B: Do you need to buy Jack a Copy? [00:03:11] Speaker F: Is anyone surprised? [00:03:12] Speaker E: I wasn't gonna buy it because for some reason their clearance price was 20 bucks. [00:03:15] Speaker B: Oh, that's not, that's not clearance. [00:03:17] Speaker A: That's not clear. [00:03:18] Speaker F: What's the original price? [00:03:19] Speaker E: I don't check. I didn't look at it hard. [00:03:22] Speaker D: They're like 40 or so. Yeah, a lot of new movies are 40. [00:03:25] Speaker A: That's not clearance enough for that movie. [00:03:27] Speaker F: I remember when you could buy movies for five dollars. [00:03:30] Speaker B: We still have a five dollar bin. [00:03:32] Speaker F: It's not the same. [00:03:33] Speaker A: They're ten year old movies, but they're still there. [00:03:36] Speaker C: It's the same movies you used to be able to buy. [00:03:41] Speaker A: Oh my goodness. [00:03:42] Speaker B: I think that's how I bought Megamind. [00:03:44] Speaker A: Megamind? [00:03:45] Speaker D: That's a blast from the past. [00:03:46] Speaker F: We need a movie night to watch Megamind. [00:03:49] Speaker E: Sometimes you find the best movies in the. [00:03:51] Speaker D: I have it too. [00:03:52] Speaker B: Well, I go to Walmart. [00:03:56] Speaker D: I always get so melancholy looking back on it. [00:03:59] Speaker F: Melancholy. [00:04:00] Speaker B: Is it because there is no Queen of England? [00:04:03] Speaker D: That is a sad fact. [00:04:04] Speaker A: Now I get melancholy. Can't say it now. [00:04:08] Speaker F: Melancholy. [00:04:09] Speaker A: Melancholy. I was, I was going back and thinking about some of the old and I say old and it makes me feel old. Movies of like Tangled, Frozen, they're not. [00:04:21] Speaker F: That old, are they? [00:04:22] Speaker A: They're over 10 years. [00:04:23] Speaker B: Yeah. I was about to say I think they're over a decade. [00:04:25] Speaker F: Are they really? I feel ancient. [00:04:27] Speaker A: I know those came out a long time ago and I was, I was, I was having this conversation. I was having this conversation with you and your wife, Sam, when. [00:04:39] Speaker D: When we were watching D Part 1. [00:04:41] Speaker A: Yes. [00:04:42] Speaker D: At your house. Domicile. [00:04:46] Speaker A: Yes. That is when. [00:04:48] Speaker D: Yeah, I remember that. Yeah. [00:04:50] Speaker A: And you guys broke my heart whenever you told me how old those movies were. [00:04:54] Speaker D: They're so old. Like you. [00:04:57] Speaker B: 15 years. [00:04:58] Speaker F: Which, which movie came out 15 years ago? [00:05:00] Speaker C: Tangled. [00:05:01] Speaker A: Yeah, I know. [00:05:02] Speaker B: That means in another five years, in 20, 30, that movie is going to be considered old enough to be a classic. [00:05:10] Speaker F: I hate that. [00:05:11] Speaker E: What Disney age are we in? I know there was like the Renaissance, the Silver Age we're in. I don't know. [00:05:17] Speaker B: They want money. [00:05:17] Speaker F: Yeah. We're in the Dark Age. [00:05:19] Speaker E: They need money. [00:05:20] Speaker A: We're in the Dark Age. [00:05:21] Speaker F: The dark age of Disney. [00:05:23] Speaker E: I don't know. Encanto was pretty good. [00:05:25] Speaker F: Encanto was good. I liked that one. [00:05:28] Speaker D: Even evil can produce good things now and again. [00:05:32] Speaker E: Wow, that's a hot take. [00:05:33] Speaker F: Encanto was pretty good. [00:05:34] Speaker B: They're. [00:05:35] Speaker A: They're making good things because they're remaking the old things. [00:05:39] Speaker F: That's a hot take. Spin. [00:05:41] Speaker C: Some of the remaking old things are just not even good anyway. [00:05:44] Speaker A: You're right. [00:05:44] Speaker C: But some of their New stuff. Stuff is actually good. [00:05:46] Speaker D: Onward. [00:05:47] Speaker F: Onward was good, but that's also slightly older. [00:05:50] Speaker D: Yeah, it's like five. [00:05:51] Speaker B: Technically speaking, they make 90% of movies. [00:05:55] Speaker E: Wasn't Onward the movie with Star Lord Spider man and a pair of pants? [00:05:59] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:00] Speaker B: What? What? [00:06:01] Speaker D: The actors playing. Yeah, the actors playing the elves with their dad's pair of pants. [00:06:09] Speaker B: What? [00:06:09] Speaker F: Yes. [00:06:10] Speaker C: Speaking of dark Ages, are you guys ready to get back into it? [00:06:12] Speaker B: See, I was asking, is this game in the dark Ages? [00:06:15] Speaker C: Well, isn't that what you're trying to stop? [00:06:18] Speaker A: Yeah, we're trying to stop the dark Age. [00:06:19] Speaker E: I don't know. All this green flames, it seems pretty bright to me. [00:06:23] Speaker C: Oh, the flames are normal color now. [00:06:24] Speaker E: Oh. [00:06:25] Speaker F: Oh. So we stopped it. [00:06:27] Speaker D: We did it, guys. [00:06:28] Speaker F: We did it. Did the rattling stop, too? Of the bones. [00:06:31] Speaker B: Hooray. [00:06:32] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, the bones stopped rattling. The flames are no longer green, but, you know, a regular orangish, reddish, yellowish kind of flame. Colored flame. [00:06:40] Speaker F: Normal fire. Okay. [00:06:42] Speaker D: Plus a shaking explosion upstairs. [00:06:44] Speaker C: Yes, there was just an explosion. Shaky. From upstairs. You did disrupt the trail of black powder that was leading out of the room. But it seems like somebody may have detonated it elsewhere down that line. We now have. We're going to start our focus in the room where you were fighting Mother, where we still have Val, who is just barely head brushing against the ceiling. How tall are you again? [00:07:10] Speaker D: 15Ft, something like that. [00:07:12] Speaker C: And Neros and Alward are in that room with her as well. [00:07:17] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. Zafir ran away. Yeah, like a scared little girl. I'm kidding. I'm sorry. That was me. [00:07:23] Speaker B: It wasn't. I can't run away like a scared little boy. [00:07:27] Speaker F: You know, I feel like I'm allowed to say that. [00:07:30] Speaker D: No, Val's gonna shrink back down. She's just gonna deactivate her brooch. And she still has her wings out. And she looks up and she's like, I think something's happening upstairs. I'll go take a look. And she's just gonna start flying down the hallway. [00:07:49] Speaker B: I'm gonna look over at Nero. Should we follow her? [00:07:54] Speaker F: Probably in a second. And I'm gonna walk up to Mother and loot the body. [00:08:05] Speaker C: My dear audience, we have been recording this game for two and a half years. Every encounter, I have written out a list of what items the enemy had on their person. And after two and a half years, I decided it was time to stop writing what the villains had. And today I hear these words, I loot the bike. [00:08:43] Speaker F: We were just trying to make you happy, Jordy. [00:08:47] Speaker C: Oh, I'm happ. [00:08:54] Speaker B: Jodi. [00:08:55] Speaker E: You have a list to start from the beginning. [00:08:59] Speaker D: There's two and a half years of loot on this woman. [00:09:02] Speaker F: All right, fine. [00:09:03] Speaker C: You find a pickaxe, three copper pieces and a string. [00:09:08] Speaker D: Wait, what? [00:09:08] Speaker B: What? [00:09:08] Speaker D: It what? [00:09:09] Speaker B: It's string. [00:09:11] Speaker D: What did those centipedes have on them? [00:09:13] Speaker B: That's what the centipedes had on them. [00:09:15] Speaker C: You looted the centipedes? [00:09:16] Speaker D: Oh, that's right. So do we get Saito's stuff? [00:09:29] Speaker C: No. You pushed him into the lava. [00:09:32] Speaker D: Yeah, he wasn't reachable, but now there's a new body. [00:09:36] Speaker B: That's how loot works, Right? It just teleports to the new body. It's the legend of the loot rat. [00:09:44] Speaker F: You're welcome. [00:09:48] Speaker C: I'll get back to you on that. All right, Abby, it's been a bit since we ended this last session. We are in the future and I have had some time to decide what you find on mother's body. So if you've got your pencil ready. [00:10:07] Speaker F: It's a pen. [00:10:08] Speaker C: You've got your pen ready? [00:10:09] Speaker F: Yes. [00:10:10] Speaker C: You find three potions, one scroll and one small like silver ring that as you turn it in the light. You know, like those stereograph images that like change when you turn it back and forth. Yeah, it like, as you turn the ring, it just changes between like there's a picture of a rat, there's a picture of a bird, there's a picture of a lizard. Okay, that is what you find interesting. [00:10:43] Speaker F: Can I identify these potions and scroll? [00:10:46] Speaker C: Sure, go ahead and make an arcana check. [00:10:48] Speaker F: Oh, geez, that's not bad. Hang on, I have to take my calculator. 34, not bad. 17 on the die with a plus 17. [00:11:04] Speaker C: Okay, so you identify all of those potions and I'm gonna go ahead and say with that roll you just identify everything. So all, all of the potions are potions of disguise. Two of them are potions of disguise that are moderate. So they are preset disguises. One of them you are, you're able to figure out would make you look like a just a common day laborer. And one of them would make you look like a noble lady. The third, however, is a greater potion of disguise. You can visualize what you want to look like when you drink the potion and you take on that appearance. The scroll is a spell scroll of fly. And the ring is a ring of pest form. So it functions like a wand, but you can just wear is at fourth level. So when you use it, it does give you the option to become a flying creature like a bird. Or something. [00:12:04] Speaker F: Only flying creatures. [00:12:06] Speaker C: So you could be. Normally first level pest form is only terrestrial creatures. [00:12:10] Speaker F: Oh, okay. [00:12:11] Speaker C: Fourth level unlocks the ability to become a flying creature as well. [00:12:14] Speaker F: Okay. Okay. [00:12:15] Speaker C: So as long as you become some, you know, small pest form level creature, it has specific statistics should you get into combat. But I would advise you try not to get into combat in pest form. [00:12:30] Speaker F: Okay. [00:12:31] Speaker C: And that's what you find. [00:12:33] Speaker F: Cool. [00:12:33] Speaker C: Back to the past. [00:12:37] Speaker F: This might seem a little cold hearted and a little rude. I grab mother's body and I drag it up the stairs. I throw it into the bone pit. [00:12:57] Speaker C: So after having looted mother's body and it happens off camera, so we can't see what stuff you got just yet. But Neros takes the body up and tosses it out into the bone pit. And she lands on top of the bones for a second. And then just ever so slowly, hands start just reaching up and slowly pulling the body underneath. [00:13:18] Speaker D: I hope we don't have to fight a giant mother skeleton. [00:13:21] Speaker B: Should we worry about. [00:13:23] Speaker F: I don't know. [00:13:24] Speaker B: I'm gonna say no for now. [00:13:27] Speaker F: I just. I want her to be more gone than she is. [00:13:30] Speaker B: Do you know where Einar and Zafir are? [00:13:32] Speaker F: No. [00:13:33] Speaker B: Oh. [00:13:33] Speaker C: As you ask that, alward, you and Neros have stepped back into that previous room so that you can get to the bone pit. And near the edge of the bone pit, you see a pile of just like equipment. And on top of that is that leaf shield that Einar had been using. [00:13:54] Speaker B: Weird for him to leave it here. I'm gonna pick it up and put it in my backpack. Except for the sword, I guess. I guess I put that on my waist. [00:14:04] Speaker F: You look unnatural with the sword. [00:14:05] Speaker B: I don't like it here. And I pass it to Nero. [00:14:09] Speaker F: I don't want it, but I hold on to it. But why would he leave his shield and sword here? [00:14:19] Speaker B: I don't. Maybe he ran after Zafir or something. I don't know. [00:14:22] Speaker F: But why would he drop it? [00:14:23] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:14:24] Speaker F: Like, Inon doesn't just leave his weapons. [00:14:27] Speaker B: Well, he has another weapon. [00:14:30] Speaker F: Okay. It's just strange. [00:14:35] Speaker C: Between Sam and Petite. Who wants to be next for us to shift focus to? [00:14:41] Speaker D: Well, I mean, I'm gonna be coming up right behind him, right? Because I have isn't. If he's going to the entrance, I have 40ft movement. [00:14:50] Speaker C: All right, so we'll shift focus over to Val. [00:14:52] Speaker D: I don't like that. What are you doing? [00:14:55] Speaker E: Don't worry about it. [00:14:56] Speaker B: He climbed in. The mimic's dead course. [00:14:58] Speaker F: Ew. [00:14:59] Speaker D: Yeah, I Was just took off flying up back the way we came. Whatever would be fastest path for me to take. [00:15:07] Speaker C: So with flight, you could cross over the bone pan? [00:15:10] Speaker D: Yeah, I'd just do that. [00:15:11] Speaker C: Okay. So you reach the entrance and find that it is completely collapsed. All of the archway and the path, and everything has crumbled. You can very faintly see, like, some of the light from the street coming through some of the rubble, but it would be difficult to even, like, thread a rope through that hole. [00:15:32] Speaker D: Cool. Was there another path back where we fought Mother? Was it, like. Were there other directions to go down there? [00:15:41] Speaker C: There was a stairway on the far side of the room. [00:15:45] Speaker D: Okay, well, getting up there, I didn't see Zafir at all. [00:15:50] Speaker C: You did not see Zafir? No, or Einar or Einar. [00:15:54] Speaker D: I'm going to go back down the normal path, fly back down to Remet, the others, but go down the path that they would take to get here in case I just maybe pass them. [00:16:04] Speaker C: And with your faster flight speed, I think, Val, you would catch up just as Alward and Neros are, you know, collecting Einar's discarded equipment without encountering Zafir on your way. [00:16:16] Speaker D: Okay, so I'll fly in and land, and probably about now is when the. Wait. How long do I get the wings? Is it hour or is it 10 minutes? [00:16:24] Speaker B: Typically it's 10 minutes, but I can see it being an hour. [00:16:26] Speaker D: It is 10 minutes. So she'll fly over and land, and she'll be like, the entrance is closed off. Someone collapsed the entrance. [00:16:41] Speaker B: Oh, how are we gonna get out? [00:16:44] Speaker D: I think there's maybe another wheat. We might have to try and look to see if there's another exit out down further. Where's Zafir and Einar? [00:16:58] Speaker B: We were hoping you would find them. [00:17:00] Speaker D: No, I didn't see them. I flew over the bone pit on my way there, and then I took the normal path back, but I didn't see them. And that explosion went off while they are still here. [00:17:13] Speaker F: That doesn't make any sense. [00:17:15] Speaker D: Did they fall into the bones? [00:17:18] Speaker F: I hope not. [00:17:20] Speaker B: I not dropped all of his stuff. [00:17:22] Speaker D: All of his stuff? [00:17:23] Speaker B: Well, not all of his stuff, but, like, his shield and one of his swords and that creepy cat bag. [00:17:34] Speaker D: Okay, I'm not. I'm not liking the vibes from that. [00:17:39] Speaker E: While you guys are discussing Einar's belongings, you. You can hear some footsteps coming from the stairway that Val just entered through. And you see Zafir just. Just walking in, kind of rubbing his temples a little bit, just. Does anybody know what that explosion was the entrance. [00:18:00] Speaker D: Where were you? Where did you go? [00:18:03] Speaker E: You know, just around. [00:18:04] Speaker D: I just flew over there. Where did you go? [00:18:08] Speaker E: Around. Wait. You said the explosion was the entrance. [00:18:13] Speaker D: Yeah, the entrance collapsed. [00:18:14] Speaker E: I figured that was the case. Are we trapped in here? [00:18:17] Speaker D: Well, there might be another path out further down. So we might just have to go deeper into the catchy cows. [00:18:23] Speaker E: Well, shouldn't we wait for Einar? [00:18:25] Speaker D: I thought he was with you. [00:18:29] Speaker E: He doesn't really like me all that much. At least I don't think so. [00:18:32] Speaker D: I think he liked you, Elena. He used to know you as much as us. Okay, let me do another sweep, see if I can find him. [00:18:46] Speaker E: Where's Lena? We need a broom. [00:18:48] Speaker D: I'll take off and I'll fly down all the little nooks and crannies that we've gone through, like the chest room and stuff like that, just to see if he's around. And I'll fly over the bone pit and kind of take a look in the pit a little bit. [00:19:01] Speaker E: I'd like to mention that when you go into the chest room, you notice a distinct lack of the large chest. That was the opposite one of the mimic. [00:19:13] Speaker F: Like, it's not there. [00:19:15] Speaker E: It's not there. [00:19:16] Speaker D: Okay. [00:19:17] Speaker F: Okay. [00:19:18] Speaker D: So I get back. Zafir. [00:19:21] Speaker E: Yes? [00:19:22] Speaker D: Did you eat a chest? [00:19:25] Speaker B: I'm so glad that was the first thought. [00:19:28] Speaker E: No. [00:19:30] Speaker B: How would he eat the chest? [00:19:31] Speaker D: I don't know. It's gone. [00:19:33] Speaker B: What'd you do with the chest? [00:19:34] Speaker E: Well, we looted it, remember? [00:19:36] Speaker B: We didn't take the chest. [00:19:37] Speaker E: We took all the good things. [00:19:39] Speaker D: Did you put it in that bag of cats? [00:19:43] Speaker E: What? [00:19:43] Speaker B: How? The bag of cats is right here. [00:19:45] Speaker D: I don't know. [00:19:47] Speaker E: We should move on. [00:19:49] Speaker F: Are you okay? [00:19:50] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm fine. [00:19:51] Speaker B: I'm gonna throw a pebble at Zafir. [00:19:56] Speaker E: I don't have my dice out. I was gonna do a reflex. [00:19:59] Speaker D: Why are your dice not out? [00:20:03] Speaker A: I forgot. [00:20:04] Speaker C: So the pebble just taps on Zafir's trousers and just falls to the ground. [00:20:09] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [00:20:10] Speaker E: My trousers. [00:20:12] Speaker F: Are you wearing pants? [00:20:14] Speaker E: I'm short. He had a lot more target than just the ground. [00:20:18] Speaker C: But this is Alward. [00:20:20] Speaker E: That's true. Depends on how far away you are. [00:20:22] Speaker F: Neros is just going to call out for Einar. [00:20:26] Speaker C: Your voice echoes through the catacombs and there's just like, maybe the faintest of, like, something shifting. Some dust falls, but there's no response. [00:20:38] Speaker F: She calls out, a little more panicked. [00:20:42] Speaker D: Outward could. This is something. Time. Ish. You know, time stuff. [00:20:50] Speaker B: I. I hope not. And Alward kind of looks at you, concerned. If it is, he's. Then he completed his mission. [00:21:06] Speaker E: Does that mean we saved the world? [00:21:09] Speaker B: No, we just stopped his world from becoming. [00:21:16] Speaker E: Time time. [00:21:20] Speaker B: I'm sure he's still around somewhere, right? [00:21:23] Speaker E: I mean in the future, in the present. I mean whoever his parents are. Do we know who his parents are? [00:21:33] Speaker B: No, he didn't tell us. [00:21:35] Speaker F: Did we stop him from being born? [00:21:39] Speaker B: It depends. [00:21:40] Speaker E: If we did that, then he wouldn't be able to help us and I don't think we would be here. [00:21:46] Speaker D: Maybe he just went deeper during the fight. [00:21:49] Speaker B: Maybe. I don't remember him running past us. [00:21:52] Speaker D: But a lot happened. [00:21:54] Speaker E: He didn't run past me. [00:21:56] Speaker B: You said there's a. An exit deeper. Maybe we'll find him. [00:22:00] Speaker D: Yeah, maybe. There should be something, some. Some way deeper. [00:22:05] Speaker B: Our going to walk deeper into the catacombs. At a quickened pa. [00:22:14] Speaker F: Nerus stares at the ground where all of his stuff was. Slowly just follows alward. [00:22:27] Speaker D: Val will follow along and look at Neros and say, Are you alright? [00:22:34] Speaker F: No, no, I don't think I am. [00:22:39] Speaker D: A lot's been happening. [00:22:42] Speaker E: Being the final person in the room, Zafir is kind of going to look up and look around. Somewhat akin to what a dog would do after their owner walked out the door, waiting for them to come back in. Look around for a minute and feeling more like 10 minutes, but actually like 10 seconds. He'll turn and kind of follow a few feet behind. [00:23:16] Speaker C: As you make your way into that final room of the catacombs. As had been mentioned, there is a stairway at the back of the room. But this stairway seems to go further down, deeper into the ground. [00:23:33] Speaker F: That's not what we wanted. [00:23:36] Speaker B: Maybe it joins a connecting catacomb or something. [00:23:41] Speaker F: Are we ever gonna get out of here? [00:23:43] Speaker D: I mean, in theory if we have to. We could try and break all the rubble that's collapsed in the front, but I feel like that might take a lot of time. So worst case scenario, maybe we have to stay the night in here. [00:23:56] Speaker F: I don't want to stay the night in the catacombs. [00:23:59] Speaker D: Well, I'm hopeful that maybe there'll be something further in. [00:24:05] Speaker E: I've seen quite a few subterranean constructions. I mean they usually put at least two entrances in case there's a cave in or something. [00:24:14] Speaker D: Zephyr, you can like travel through shadows, right? Yeah. There's a hole in the rubble. In theory you could get through it. Is that right? [00:24:25] Speaker E: I'm not sure. I don't want to appear somewhere where I can't fit. I don't know how this works exactly. [00:24:33] Speaker D: That would probably hurt. [00:24:34] Speaker E: I was a bit hungover when I learned I could do it. [00:24:38] Speaker D: Okay, well, maybe if this path is a dead end, we can go back up to the entrance and try and brainstorm together when we're there. Maybe. [00:24:50] Speaker E: Yeah, sure. [00:24:52] Speaker B: Alward's going to go down the stairs. [00:24:56] Speaker C: The stairs go down, turn and go down again. And then very abruptly, all of the carved paved interior that you've been familiar with from the catacombs gives way to one long. Just rough cut out of the stone, just passageway that just goes straight into the darkness. [00:25:21] Speaker B: I'm going to pull out my staff and summon my unseen servant and have it travel ahead of us by 30ft. [00:25:30] Speaker D: Hey, Nerus. [00:25:32] Speaker F: What? [00:25:32] Speaker D: You don't happen to have a bomb from your encounter with that fellow, do you? [00:25:42] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, I do, actually. So I forgot about that. [00:25:49] Speaker D: I don't know. 100% sure that would work on clearing the rubble without potentially making it worse. But that we have that in your back pocket. [00:26:00] Speaker F: I mean, I guess we could try it. If we can't find another way out. Please tell me we can find another way out. [00:26:09] Speaker D: I think we will. [00:26:11] Speaker B: Einar was the only one who couldn't see in the dark, right? [00:26:14] Speaker D: Yeah. All of us can see in the dark. [00:26:16] Speaker B: I ask. As we start getting to the darker. [00:26:18] Speaker D: Parts of the hallway, my eyes start glowing. [00:26:23] Speaker C: Zafir and Alward, both of you just have a really good sense of time, right? You don't have a really good sense of space. [00:26:31] Speaker B: What do you mean? [00:26:32] Speaker C: Cuz you were walking for a while. [00:26:35] Speaker B: Mm. [00:26:37] Speaker E: Sir, you're saying we don't understand how far we've gone. But we know how long we've gone. [00:26:43] Speaker C: Just wondering if I have to tell you how far you're walking along this straight passage cut out of the stone. [00:26:50] Speaker E: I have a better way of figuring something out. [00:26:51] Speaker F: I don't like the look on your face. [00:26:53] Speaker D: Candy trail. Candy trail. [00:26:55] Speaker E: What if I see when I turn around. [00:26:57] Speaker C: Oh, you turn around. [00:26:58] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:26:58] Speaker C: And you're in the back of the group. [00:27:00] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:27:02] Speaker C: You see the passage that you've been coming through. [00:27:04] Speaker E: I knew it. [00:27:06] Speaker D: It's like. It's not. It's a normal pass, it's just really long. This must have taken a long time to carve out. [00:27:15] Speaker E: Can I use my. Yeah. My shooting star. I don't know how the physics would work with a bow in a tunnel because it wouldn't have that much of. [00:27:24] Speaker C: An arc, but just like, shoot ahead and see how far it goes. [00:27:28] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:27:29] Speaker C: And you have a short bow. Right. [00:27:31] Speaker E: I think it's been a While it's. [00:27:34] Speaker D: Been a while, it's you in a flat plane. [00:27:38] Speaker E: Yes. It's a short bow. [00:27:40] Speaker C: So your short bow, you could shoot it out, like, 60ft ahead of you, but because you don't have the arc in the tunnel, you wouldn't be able to try and get any further than that. At that point is when it would fall down. [00:27:52] Speaker E: That makes sense. So it's at least 60ft ahead of me. How often can I do that? [00:27:58] Speaker D: Shoot an arrow? [00:27:59] Speaker E: The shooting star? [00:28:00] Speaker B: Technically, once per 10 minutes. [00:28:03] Speaker D: We don't need the light just to. [00:28:05] Speaker E: See what's ahead of us. [00:28:07] Speaker B: It's a marker too. [00:28:08] Speaker D: I guess so. [00:28:10] Speaker C: So you've been walking for about five minutes. [00:28:14] Speaker E: That's nothing. [00:28:16] Speaker C: Ten minutes. [00:28:18] Speaker D: I can run, like, really fast. Do you guys want me to just run and see or. [00:28:23] Speaker B: Um, no. We've been walking abnormally long. I would hate. Like, what if this is something, you know? [00:28:31] Speaker E: I wouldn't want to send you out on your own. Not that you couldn't handle yourself, but. [00:28:35] Speaker D: Oh, that's fine. Understandable. [00:28:38] Speaker B: How can we see where we came from? [00:28:40] Speaker C: If we turn around, it's just both directions now is just a cut out of the stone, but a very straight corridor. It's also surprisingly level. [00:28:52] Speaker B: But we can see where we've come from. After walking for 10 minutes. [00:28:56] Speaker C: No, you don't see the end of it. [00:28:57] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [00:28:58] Speaker C: But you can turn around and see the path that you've been traveling. [00:29:00] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:00] Speaker E: So there's no curvature or is there any curvature? [00:29:02] Speaker C: It's completely straight. [00:29:03] Speaker E: Okay. [00:29:04] Speaker B: It'd be weird if there was curvature. [00:29:06] Speaker E: The world is flat, my friends. [00:29:08] Speaker B: We've only been walking 10 minutes. [00:29:10] Speaker E: That's enough. Never mind. [00:29:13] Speaker C: After 13 minutes and 47 seconds outward and severe you see ahead of you, the path takes a sharp drop downwards. [00:29:23] Speaker E: Finally, we're getting somewhere. [00:29:26] Speaker D: So this catacomb had, like, a whole shrine thing to the mad king and a bunch of dead people that this mad lady was trying to bring back. Could the fact that this goes on a long time and goes deeper and deeper maybe have something to do with all of that stuff? Stuff? [00:29:45] Speaker F: I feel like there's no way to actually know. [00:29:48] Speaker E: We've been walking a while. I, I, I was thinking it could be a giant snake with big drilly. [00:29:55] Speaker D: Teeth, you know, like a worm? [00:29:59] Speaker E: No snake. [00:30:02] Speaker D: Did you guys think we might figure out what's in the center of the world? That could be fun. [00:30:07] Speaker E: Could be linorm. [00:30:09] Speaker B: As far as. If we go too far down, we'll just reach the Dark Lands, and then. [00:30:13] Speaker D: I guess we could find a way out through there eventually. [00:30:16] Speaker B: I would prefer if we went back. Oh, we'd be finding an exit quicker by removing the rubble. From what I heard, the Dark Lands are more maze than anything. [00:30:29] Speaker D: I like mazes. [00:30:32] Speaker B: Neriss, can I borrow a torch? Well, can I have a torch? [00:30:35] Speaker F: Do I have one? [00:30:37] Speaker B: I would hope so. [00:30:38] Speaker D: I have one. [00:30:40] Speaker F: Yeah, I have one you can have. Yes. Here. [00:30:43] Speaker B: I'm gonna light the torch and drop it down the hole and time it. [00:30:48] Speaker D: Wait, there's a hole? I thought it was like a downward. [00:30:50] Speaker B: He said it was a drop off. [00:30:51] Speaker C: It's a sharp drop off. [00:30:52] Speaker E: Oh, like 90 degrees. [00:30:54] Speaker C: Yes. [00:30:54] Speaker E: Or more so a hole. [00:30:56] Speaker C: Yeah. So you light the torch and you drop it. And. [00:31:01] Speaker B: How long did that take? [00:31:03] Speaker C: Like just about one and a quarter second. [00:31:07] Speaker B: That would be over 500ft. [00:31:10] Speaker D: No. [00:31:10] Speaker B: Oh, no. Because you dropped 500ft in six seconds in this game. How big, how deep is this hole, is what I'm asking. [00:31:17] Speaker C: So after you hear clunk, you look down and it's maybe like a 12 to 15 foot drop. [00:31:22] Speaker B: Oh, that's not bad. That's not bad at all. [00:31:23] Speaker D: That's a little different than 500. [00:31:25] Speaker B: Hey. This game's falling distances are weird. [00:31:30] Speaker D: Can everybody climb that? If we go down and come back up, do we need to tie, like, a rope up here first? [00:31:34] Speaker F: I don't have a climb speed. [00:31:37] Speaker D: That's fair. [00:31:38] Speaker E: I need to look something up about my shadow traveling. [00:31:42] Speaker B: Technically, you could be doing this now. [00:31:45] Speaker C: It's actually faster than walking for you. [00:31:48] Speaker B: That is really funny. [00:31:49] Speaker E: Can I, like, pop just down there and then pop back up? Do you think I'd be able to see the shadows from the bottom? [00:31:57] Speaker C: You would have to be able to see where you're trying to appear from below to teleport back up. But you can certainly teleport below. Well, not. [00:32:05] Speaker E: Could I not see the sound? [00:32:06] Speaker C: Albert just dropped a torch. [00:32:08] Speaker B: I can stuff the torch. I'm not gonna. [00:32:11] Speaker E: But I could, I could. [00:32:13] Speaker B: No, you can't. [00:32:14] Speaker E: I've got the thing. [00:32:16] Speaker B: If it was only 12ft down. Why don't you say that to begin with? You made it seem like a bottomless pit. We can see down the hole, Jordy. [00:32:23] Speaker C: Well, I was telling you what it looked like when you first saw it. [00:32:26] Speaker B: It's a sharp drop off the torch thing was pointless. [00:32:30] Speaker F: Feels like the back rooms. [00:32:33] Speaker B: If we start seeing office space, Albert is going to be very concerned at the same time. [00:32:39] Speaker C: Oh, I should mention that where you dropped the torch, it's like those, like, squares of nice, like, just very tight office Carpet is the. [00:32:47] Speaker B: Oh, good, good. Howard feels more at home now. [00:32:50] Speaker D: I'm gonna tie the rope, then I'm gonna sit down on the edge, lower myself down slowly, and just drop. [00:32:59] Speaker C: You land, having jumped out of this just carved out of the stone passageway. You land on tight greenish hued flagstone flooring with brickwork walls on either side. You're in about a 15 foot wide hallway, and if you look back up, you just came out of a hole in the ceiling. [00:33:21] Speaker D: I see. [00:33:22] Speaker F: What? [00:33:22] Speaker D: Flagstone flooring and brick walls. [00:33:25] Speaker C: There is a door on one end of the hallway, and then the other side is a broken staircase. [00:33:31] Speaker D: Guys, we found a house. [00:33:35] Speaker E: Where? [00:33:37] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. [00:33:39] Speaker B: What is this to our listeners. Jordi just loaded the map of the Library. The underground. [00:33:46] Speaker F: What? [00:33:46] Speaker D: The collapsed passage. [00:33:48] Speaker E: Isn't that the door that Hamir closed? [00:33:50] Speaker D: Yeah, that I refused to let anyone get near. [00:33:55] Speaker F: Oh, my gosh. [00:33:59] Speaker D: So Val's gonna try the door while the others are lifting themselves coming down the wall. [00:34:05] Speaker F: Elward, you were just down here? [00:34:07] Speaker B: Yeah, like three days ago. Two days ago yesterday. [00:34:11] Speaker D: Wow. [00:34:12] Speaker E: We've been in this tunnel for a while. [00:34:13] Speaker F: That's. That's bonkers. That was so long ago. [00:34:20] Speaker C: Val, you open the doors into an area you've never seen before. [00:34:23] Speaker D: That's a lie. I went down with Alward one day. [00:34:26] Speaker C: You open the doors into an area you saw once before. [00:34:30] Speaker D: Our what? It's the Library. Look at this. Does that mean that Catachin was connected to this whole Flesh Warp experimental place? [00:34:42] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:34:43] Speaker D: That's disconcerting. [00:34:49] Speaker B: I mean, I wanted to come here again anyway. [00:34:52] Speaker D: I'm gonna check to make sure the library is empty. [00:34:56] Speaker C: Val, as you are kind of like cautiously entering that Library, everything is dark and quiet. And then you hear just a ways away, what sounds like it's coming from that main room, which back for you all, where you would have thought the gelatinous cube. [00:35:15] Speaker D: I don't dare say that those doors are opening. [00:35:18] Speaker C: You hear the sound of a very heavy door slamming shut. [00:35:23] Speaker D: Oh, no. I think we're going to have to fight those Flesh Warp. [00:35:29] Speaker B: Nah, Geordi wouldn't do that. [00:35:30] Speaker E: Maybe we'll meet Gorn again. Is that his name? [00:35:33] Speaker B: No, Garn. [00:35:34] Speaker E: Garn. [00:35:35] Speaker D: So Val turns the others and does like a shush with her mouth. I just heard a big slam, like a door. Heavy door closed. So Val's gonna go in. [00:35:48] Speaker B: I'm going to follow. [00:35:49] Speaker D: She's going quietly and slowly up to those closer doors. I think some sort of church thing. And she's gonna open the door to look in there and see if there's anything in there. The skeleton sure that there's nothing in there. [00:36:12] Speaker C: So, Val, our champion, who is sworn to serve Pharasma and destroy undead. You open the door and four skeletons, like, stand up and turn to look at you. [00:36:28] Speaker B: Val, we've been down here so many times after and we've just never touched that room. [00:36:33] Speaker D: Val is going to. [00:36:35] Speaker F: We talk about opening doors to the. [00:36:37] Speaker D: Others and do the shushy thing with her mouth, and then she's gonna step in and close the door. [00:36:47] Speaker C: I approve. [00:36:48] Speaker B: Wait, so is Val in the. Okay, I'm just gonna turn and look at Nera's. Be like, is she okay? [00:36:55] Speaker F: I mean, if she needs help, I guess she'll scream. [00:36:58] Speaker B: Okay. Alward's gonna start looking through the books again while we wait for Val. [00:37:08] Speaker F: So a long, long time ago, when we were last in this library, there was a book on family lineages and stuff. Neros is going to go searching for that book again. [00:37:24] Speaker D: When in Rome. [00:37:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:26] Speaker C: While the two of you are looking for books and Val is rumbling with the skeletons. Zafir, what are you up to? [00:37:32] Speaker E: I'm going to walk up to the location that I saw Tall Boy Grossman in the library and just stare at the candlestick. In the library with the candlestick. [00:37:48] Speaker D: We all did. Just bring Zafir into a traumatic area and walk away from him. [00:37:52] Speaker E: And I just stare at it the whole time. [00:37:56] Speaker C: I would like to note from your perspective right now, where I've got your pawn on the board is about where you were standing. [00:38:04] Speaker E: Uh huh. [00:38:04] Speaker C: The door that you entered the room from was where Tallboy Grossman. [00:38:08] Speaker E: Oh, I thought he was next to the. Next to the bookshelves, but that's okay. [00:38:12] Speaker B: There was a point. I'm gonna go back over next to the bookshelves. [00:38:15] Speaker C: There was a point. [00:38:15] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm gonna go back over to the door after everybody kind of leaves me, you know, to myself. Just walk back there and just stare at the floor where he was. There's nothing there, is there? [00:38:30] Speaker C: There's nothing. [00:38:30] Speaker E: Just floor. [00:38:31] Speaker C: Just floor. [00:38:32] Speaker E: Dang. [00:38:33] Speaker B: So how long do you think this is going to take her? [00:38:37] Speaker F: I don't know. Do we hear any sounds coming from that room? [00:38:43] Speaker D: Very quiet. [00:38:44] Speaker C: What's your stealth bonus? [00:38:46] Speaker F: This is so funny, Thirteen. [00:38:51] Speaker C: You hear nothing. [00:38:52] Speaker F: Cool. [00:38:54] Speaker C: So right as you're remarking, like, how long will this take? The door to the chapel just opens back up again. [00:38:59] Speaker D: Is it a phrasm chapel or. I didn't actually know. [00:39:03] Speaker C: Oh, well, what's your religion bonus? [00:39:07] Speaker D: Oh, I'm a master in religion. And it's a 20. [00:39:11] Speaker C: Oh, well, let me just put this down. It's no known religion. [00:39:16] Speaker D: Oh, really? [00:39:17] Speaker F: What? [00:39:18] Speaker C: Now that I've rolled for you. [00:39:20] Speaker D: Oh. [00:39:23] Speaker C: You rolled really well. Oh, thank you. And you're able to determine this is an artificial religion? [00:39:31] Speaker D: It's a robot religion. [00:39:35] Speaker C: This appears to have been some form of a cult that was created by the Runelord, who used to have this area that venerated him as, like, an ultimate power. [00:39:49] Speaker D: Oh, okay. Were there any, like, books in here? [00:39:54] Speaker C: Not really. [00:39:55] Speaker D: Okay, that's fine. So, yeah, I'll just come out, leave the doors open. All right. Oh, you guys are looking for books now? [00:40:04] Speaker B: Hey, we thought you'd take longer. [00:40:06] Speaker D: Oh, no, I just had to kill some skeletons. Zephyr, are you all right? [00:40:11] Speaker E: No. [00:40:12] Speaker D: You all right? Okay. [00:40:15] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:40:17] Speaker E: Should we block this tunnel thing? [00:40:22] Speaker B: I don't see why we should. [00:40:24] Speaker D: You can close the door. [00:40:27] Speaker E: I mean, something could come through there. There was a reason somebody blew up the entrance to the other thing. [00:40:36] Speaker C: As you're talking, you're interrupted by. How would. How would one describe. I'll do my best. I'll do my best. But, like, muffled Through a door, hit. [00:40:50] Speaker D: His toe on the wall. [00:40:54] Speaker C: You hear the sound of something very large screaming in anger and pain. And then it's suddenly cut off with, like, a gurgle and a. [00:41:06] Speaker D: I'm gonna go to those doors. [00:41:08] Speaker B: This place was empty, like, a day ago. [00:41:11] Speaker D: Didn't it have those weird things in the cages? [00:41:14] Speaker B: They were in the cages. [00:41:16] Speaker D: That's not empty. Ow. [00:41:18] Speaker C: As all of this is happening, Neros, you find the book you were looking for. [00:41:23] Speaker F: I take it over to a table and I flip through it until I find that page that had all just looked like whatever was there just was wiped out of existence. And I cast a spell called Forgotten Lines. I don't know if this is going to work how I want it to work, but it's worth a shot. [00:41:45] Speaker B: I've never heard of that spell. [00:41:47] Speaker F: So, the text of the spell, you learn one piece of information that was removed from the target text after its creation. You can instead learn one piece of information from a text that had been destroyed. But you must have a fragment of the text, such as a piece of the COVID a page, or even a clasp of metal fittings. [00:42:10] Speaker E: So specific. [00:42:11] Speaker B: That's really cool. [00:42:13] Speaker F: This is the only reason I got this spell. [00:42:15] Speaker D: I mean, it's a good spell. [00:42:17] Speaker F: So I don't know if it's going to work, but Neros wants to try. [00:42:22] Speaker C: Neris, make it fortitude. [00:42:25] Speaker D: Save oh, Speb. [00:42:27] Speaker B: What? What? Wait, is that the same save? I don't think this matters that much. Is that the same save that me and Uvaire had to make forever ago? [00:42:37] Speaker D: Mm. You're about to learn something. Or be really, really hurt. [00:42:42] Speaker F: My Fortitude has a plus 19 bonus. [00:42:45] Speaker D: Hey, that's good, man. [00:42:47] Speaker B: Do you have the fancy fortitude where if you can't critically fail, or is it you? [00:42:50] Speaker D: You succeed, you succeed. [00:42:52] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [00:42:53] Speaker F: I don't know, guys. [00:42:55] Speaker E: The show title is really coming to. [00:43:00] Speaker D: What do you mean? [00:43:05] Speaker B: We're about to learn what was written and lost. [00:43:09] Speaker E: I can't even read it. [00:43:11] Speaker D: What do you mean? [00:43:12] Speaker B: Wait, can she even read it? Why is this book not in Thessalon? Oh, my gosh. [00:43:17] Speaker C: Yeah, sorry. [00:43:20] Speaker B: I got excited. [00:43:20] Speaker D: That's Great. That's a 39. [00:43:25] Speaker F: That's a 39. [00:43:27] Speaker C: With a 39. That's a success. With a natural 20 neros, you retain consciousness as your arms are just, like, on fire. Literally black on your arms. Visibly creeps up another inch. [00:43:47] Speaker D: Oh, my God. [00:43:48] Speaker F: Oh, my gosh. [00:43:50] Speaker C: As words appear on the page. [00:43:55] Speaker B: Oh, I thought she was about to say, on your arms. [00:43:58] Speaker F: I would have lost my mind. [00:44:00] Speaker C: Same house Nixvale. [00:44:03] Speaker F: House Nixvale. [00:44:07] Speaker B: So you're Nero's Nixvale. [00:44:11] Speaker F: How. How are we spelling Nyx? [00:44:13] Speaker C: N Y, X, like the goddess Nyx. [00:44:17] Speaker B: Yeah, I love that. [00:44:20] Speaker A: Is that on purpose? [00:44:22] Speaker B: I would hope so. [00:44:24] Speaker F: Nearest anything else in this pantheon. [00:44:27] Speaker C: So this was like the book of Heraldry, right? So it's. That is. And then the family tree crest, that's the family crest that you are familiar with from the wax seal on your envelope, appears under that name. [00:44:46] Speaker B: Wow. [00:44:48] Speaker D: So going up. Going up to the door, but then hearing stuff from Neros. I'm going to turn back and be like, Neros. What's going on? Are you okay? [00:45:02] Speaker B: Hang on. [00:45:03] Speaker F: Abby needs to take this in. [00:45:06] Speaker B: It looks like she's having. [00:45:07] Speaker F: This actually worked the way I wanted it to work. [00:45:11] Speaker B: That rarely happens. [00:45:12] Speaker E: I mean, maybe you did get a little bit more on your arms so that maybe you didn't want that. [00:45:16] Speaker F: Eh, I don't care. The spell worked how I wanted it to work. I am not. I was not expecting that. [00:45:26] Speaker B: It's good. [00:45:28] Speaker D: So he does do a lot of. Yeah, but it doesn't work in this. [00:45:31] Speaker F: Situation because a long time ago, when I got this spell, I sent him a message. I'm like, is this gonna work how I want it to? And he said he just gave me the emoji. [00:45:41] Speaker D: Who's to say? You won't know till you try. [00:45:47] Speaker F: Okay. I'M fine. [00:45:49] Speaker B: Stop stabbing Sven's leg. [00:45:52] Speaker F: Owie. [00:45:52] Speaker E: He's gonna leave in the next section. You're gonna make him leave. [00:45:58] Speaker F: I might. My mind just exploded a little. [00:46:02] Speaker B: I know the feeling. [00:46:03] Speaker D: Perfect. [00:46:04] Speaker C: Abby, how do you think Neros is reacting to this? In the world? [00:46:08] Speaker F: I don't know. Neros is staring at this book, at this section of a page that was wiped blank by some thing. Her arms are burning, so she looks. She has, like, a little bit of a pained expression on her face, but she's just staring at the book and at the family crest, because she's never found that before anywhere. [00:46:40] Speaker D: Near us. I'm gonna put my hand on your shoulder. Are you. Are you all right, Neros? [00:46:46] Speaker F: I think so. [00:46:48] Speaker B: Something happened. [00:46:51] Speaker E: What's going on over there? [00:46:52] Speaker F: I found my family crest. [00:46:56] Speaker B: Oh, that's good. [00:46:57] Speaker C: That's great. [00:46:59] Speaker D: How did you find it? [00:47:00] Speaker F: I cast a spell on a book. [00:47:01] Speaker D: You cast a spell? [00:47:03] Speaker F: Yes. [00:47:03] Speaker D: On a book? [00:47:04] Speaker F: On a book. [00:47:05] Speaker B: Why do you sound so confused by that? [00:47:06] Speaker D: I just. She. She's tried stuff like that, and I. [00:47:10] Speaker F: No, I've never tried this spell on a. This is the only time I've ever used this spell, and I. I wanted it to try it on this book. [00:47:18] Speaker B: May I see the book? [00:47:19] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:47:20] Speaker E: Not to be a downer, but are you sure you're not just, like, projecting what you want to see on there or. [00:47:25] Speaker F: You can come over here and look at it if you want to. [00:47:28] Speaker C: Hallward, you see House Nixvale and that family crest underneath. [00:47:32] Speaker B: Can I make a society check? Sure. [00:47:34] Speaker C: What's your society bonus, master? [00:47:36] Speaker B: 20 or 21? Let me double check. [00:47:38] Speaker D: Was there other stuff I had, like, other books or something that you found? [00:47:42] Speaker F: No, this is the only thing that I have found. [00:47:45] Speaker B: 23. [00:47:48] Speaker D: Okay. [00:47:49] Speaker F: That is related to my family. [00:47:51] Speaker D: I would love to. [00:47:52] Speaker B: I will use time shenanigans if I have to, just to let you know. Cuz I don't get to see that role. [00:47:57] Speaker C: So make a will Save. [00:48:01] Speaker B: Goodness. [00:48:03] Speaker F: Oh, my gosh. [00:48:05] Speaker D: I didn't have to make a save looking at it though, right? I was fine. [00:48:08] Speaker C: It's an empty page for you. [00:48:10] Speaker D: Oh, it's. Oh, I did not know that. Oh, okay. [00:48:16] Speaker B: Let me double check. [00:48:18] Speaker F: It's an empty page for Val, so it's. Presumably it's an empty page for Zafir. [00:48:23] Speaker D: Everyone except for you and Alward. [00:48:25] Speaker E: I mean, I haven't taken a look at it yet. [00:48:28] Speaker F: Weird. [00:48:30] Speaker D: Well, Howard kind of tapped into your amulet. That's true. [00:48:33] Speaker B: What? [00:48:33] Speaker F: Are you okay? [00:48:34] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm good. It's not an at 20, but it's very good. [00:48:38] Speaker D: Can I use my champions reaction and make the book repent or refuse? [00:48:43] Speaker B: Do it. 36 total with an 18 on the die. Why is he picking up dice? [00:48:52] Speaker C: So you only take five? No, sorry. Three. Mental damage. [00:48:56] Speaker F: Oh, my gosh. [00:48:57] Speaker D: She only succeeded on a crit. She did not. Crit60. [00:49:03] Speaker C: You've heard of that name before? [00:49:05] Speaker B: Okay. [00:49:05] Speaker C: It's a noble family here in the South Moore region. [00:49:10] Speaker B: Okay. [00:49:11] Speaker C: What would you like to know about them? [00:49:15] Speaker B: How many questions do I get? [00:49:16] Speaker C: You get two questions. [00:49:17] Speaker B: Two questions. Okay, so I know it's a noble family. I know it's in the Southmore region. Where in the south? Like, specifically? Like you said, it's normal. What city? [00:49:27] Speaker C: Or like, what Their primary holdings were about 20 miles south of Joel. [00:49:34] Speaker B: Okay, I don't think this counts as one of the questions. What city would that be? [00:49:39] Speaker C: It's not a city. It's just out in the rural area. [00:49:41] Speaker B: They have a hold. Okay. Wind. Oh, gosh. [00:49:47] Speaker E: Do they have any children? [00:49:49] Speaker B: I don't. Do they have any children? [00:49:52] Speaker D: How. [00:50:00] Speaker B: This is so much. Abby, do you have anything? [00:50:02] Speaker D: No. [00:50:03] Speaker B: Okay. How. [00:50:04] Speaker F: I didn't. I didn't prepare to get this far. [00:50:09] Speaker B: I didn't know I'd get this. For how long has this house been considered a noble house? [00:50:16] Speaker C: They rose to power under the rule of the first Linorm, King Sabor. [00:50:20] Speaker B: Oh, so they've been around for a couple centuries? [00:50:23] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. They're a well known, well established family house, and that's the moment when you have that mental pain of, like, you know, two things at the same time. They're a well established family house and you've never heard of them before. [00:50:37] Speaker E: And your head hurts. [00:50:41] Speaker B: I'm gonna set the book down and, like, pinch the bridge of my nose and be like, I. I know where the. That. That's a noble house. Their hold is about 20 miles from here, south. [00:50:59] Speaker F: Only 20 miles? [00:51:00] Speaker B: Yeah, they've been established for a long time. [00:51:05] Speaker F: Are you okay? [00:51:06] Speaker B: My head hurts a little. I'll be fine. [00:51:08] Speaker E: Oh, you're not the only one. [00:51:09] Speaker B: Did. Oh. What? Well. [00:51:15] Speaker D: I see that this page is blank, and I understand it's probably not blank for the two of you. I will also point out in this moment that there's a horrible death shriek right outside the door, and I would really like us to maybe take care of that real quick. [00:51:30] Speaker B: Right. [00:51:31] Speaker D: And then we could maybe calmly talk in the library afterwards. [00:51:33] Speaker E: What if we just wait for it to leave? [00:51:35] Speaker D: I'm concerned it might just try and break in. Or maybe someone's being kill what if. [00:51:40] Speaker B: Ainar is fighting it? [00:51:41] Speaker D: Yeah, that is also true. Ainar could be there. [00:51:44] Speaker C: Knock, knock, knock on the door right next to Val Zephyr. [00:51:50] Speaker B: Calm down. The Boogeyman is dead. [00:51:51] Speaker D: I instinctually just go, who is it? [00:51:53] Speaker E: Not wink, wink or nudge, nudge. [00:51:56] Speaker C: And that's where we'll end this episode. [00:51:58] Speaker F: No. Come on. [00:51:59] Speaker B: Woo. You can't drop a no. I refuse. [00:52:04] Speaker D: That did imagine if we decided to try and open the entrance instead of coming down here. [00:52:11] Speaker C: All right, so the hero point for this adventure goes to Abby for the creative use of a very niche spell to solve a problem in her character's personal quest. [00:52:22] Speaker D: I think Sven was robbed. [00:52:24] Speaker B: He was. He did so much this episode. [00:52:26] Speaker C: He was robbed. [00:52:27] Speaker E: I think. [00:52:28] Speaker B: I think he was fighting a beast behind the door the whole time. [00:52:32] Speaker E: We were robbed of Sven Fen. [00:52:35] Speaker F: That is true. [00:52:36] Speaker E: Actually, someone took him. [00:52:37] Speaker F: Someone did take time. Anyway, thank you. Thanks. Don't look at me. [00:52:50] Speaker B: I'm excited. [00:52:53] Speaker F: I'm going to go take the dogs for a walk on this very beautiful day. [00:53:00] Speaker C: All right, thank you for joining us today, everybody. And I want to see your theories. Either what's going on with this whole house, Nicks veil, or if you don't feel like theorizing about that, tell me who you think is knocking. [00:53:12] Speaker B: Seriously, some of your guys's theories are spot on and it's terrifying. [00:53:15] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:53:18] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:53:18] Speaker D: All right. [00:53:19] Speaker C: Yeah, we will see you next time. And in the meantime, in the discords. Bye, everybody. [00:53:25] Speaker D: Bye. [00:53:25] Speaker F: Bye. [00:53:26] Speaker D: Let's go away, Sven. [00:53:27] Speaker A: Oh, I was actually gonna say I am not going to be here for the next couple episodes. You may or may not notice. I just wanted to say one, thank you guys for being here. Two, I am coming back. I am going to miss my big strong warrior Inar. As I'm sure everybody else will at the table anyway, at least him hitting stuff. But I just wanted to come in and say, hey, thanks for letting me play them. I will see you all later with another character. Maybe old, maybe new. We will find out. Let me know what you think. [00:54:10] Speaker D: Bye.
