Episode Transcript
[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part. Such as, like, comment rate, and don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time.
[00:00:31] Speaker B: Now, where did we leave off?
Ah, yes, in the temple of Pharasma, Val received some troubling guidance concerning Einar and especially Neros.
Meanwhile, Neros found Zephyr and Einar deep into their cups and fast friends with Hodi.
Sam's jealous.
[00:01:01] Speaker C: I have a wife. Thank you.
I'm a happy man.
[00:01:10] Speaker D: You didn't say happily married man.
[00:01:15] Speaker B: Happiness notwithstanding. Since the last episode with.
Since the last episode ended with you all befriending Hodie, I would consider Hodie no longer a threat. Defeated drunk.
[00:01:30] Speaker E: Was he ever really a threat?
[00:01:32] Speaker B: And as such, you are all now level nine.
[00:01:36] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:01:38] Speaker B: So we'll have, like, a little intermission music or something.
[00:01:40] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm done.
[00:01:41] Speaker F: Elevator music. Insert elevator music.
[00:01:44] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm done, too.
[00:01:45] Speaker B: All right. Welcome back from leveling up.
[00:01:48] Speaker D: Man, that took so long. Gosh, my fingers are warm.
[00:01:52] Speaker B: Now let's go around the table, and everybody can tell us one cool thing you got from your level up. If that's a new ability, a new spell, a new activity that you're.
[00:02:03] Speaker E: Ah.
[00:02:08] Speaker D: We saw what happened on our side, too.
[00:02:10] Speaker B: I got logged out of our vtt, but Choel, no. Anyway, yeah, tell me, what cool stuff did you get from leveling up?
[00:02:21] Speaker F: He just pulled out.
[00:02:24] Speaker A: He got one cool thing from leveling it up.
[00:02:27] Speaker C: Look, gloves.
[00:02:28] Speaker D: So I guess I'll. I guess I'll go first.
I got a new thing for my relic called Dark Roads, and I think this sounded super cool. It lets me go.
I can't scroll over. Hold the phone.
[00:02:45] Speaker A: Holding.
[00:02:46] Speaker D: All of you who are listening to podcasts on your phone, hold it. Hold it.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: Holding.
[00:02:50] Speaker F: Everyone, pick up your phone and hold it.
[00:02:51] Speaker D: My relic.
My relic creates a path from my shadow to a nearby one, Teleporting me and any items that I'm wearing or holding from my current space to an unoccupied one that's within 30ft that I can see.
I also can't use it again for 1d4 rounds.
[00:03:13] Speaker E: That's so cool, though.
[00:03:14] Speaker F: Nice.
[00:03:15] Speaker D: Which means I could just start teleporting in outside of combat. Right? Right, Right.
[00:03:19] Speaker B: I mean, the. The generally, maybe.
[00:03:24] Speaker D: Oh, and it says if this would bring another creature with you. The gift fails. My bad. If there's a creature with me, it fails.
[00:03:33] Speaker E: You should get the darkness spell. That way you can cast it and always have a spot of darkness.
[00:03:37] Speaker D: I'm pretty sure I have it.
[00:03:39] Speaker B: So Zafir be teleporting all over the place now.
[00:03:41] Speaker D: Zafir be popping up where you least expect.
Unless you're expecting a shadow, because that's where he will pop up.
[00:03:48] Speaker B: All right, Albert.
[00:03:50] Speaker E: Oh, goodness. I got so many things I could talk about, but I think I'm just gonna talk about the ancestry feed. I got. I'm not gonna say the wording because I don't like how they worded this at all. So I'm gonna change it. But I get to tap into the God mind and. And cast hypercognition once a day.
[00:04:08] Speaker F: What is hypercognition?
[00:04:09] Speaker D: Yeah, what's that?
[00:04:10] Speaker E: I Get to roll 5 recall knowledge checks in a row.
[00:04:14] Speaker F: Oh, wow. That's amazing.
[00:04:17] Speaker E: Right?
[00:04:17] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:04:17] Speaker E: It's a single action. I'm just like, tell me everything.
[00:04:19] Speaker F: That is really good.
[00:04:20] Speaker E: It is really good.
[00:04:21] Speaker C: It's the math equation meme.
[00:04:23] Speaker E: It is the math equation meme.
[00:04:24] Speaker D: I think it's pretty cool.
[00:04:25] Speaker E: It is cool.
[00:04:26] Speaker B: Nice. I got to be prepared to know all the things, Val.
[00:04:33] Speaker C: Well, I. I got a really cool ancestry feat, but I don't know if I want to talk about that or just wait till later.
[00:04:41] Speaker F: Keep your secrets.
[00:04:43] Speaker C: Alright, I'll just talk about it now. So the exciting thing for me is divine wings.
So once per day I can call forth magical wings from my back.
And they remain for 10 minutes and I gain a fly speed equal to my run speed. So for once per day, for 10 minutes I can get a 40 foot fly speed even more Valkyrie. Like I can be Val the Valkyrie.
[00:05:10] Speaker D: Is that what your name actually means?
[00:05:12] Speaker C: Yeah, that's where I got Val from. I shortened Valkyrie.
[00:05:15] Speaker E: Wow.
Wow.
[00:05:17] Speaker D: I thought it was just like Valerie.
[00:05:19] Speaker C: No.
[00:05:19] Speaker E: Or Vale or what?
[00:05:22] Speaker F: What?
[00:05:23] Speaker C: I don't know. She was a Valkyrie descended in my mind immediately. So I called her Val.
[00:05:28] Speaker D: It was the plan all along.
[00:05:31] Speaker C: You fell from my trap card.
[00:05:33] Speaker E: Enough of Sam.
[00:05:36] Speaker C: Wait, I also.
[00:05:37] Speaker E: What did Abby get?
[00:05:39] Speaker F: I got a can of peaches and Cream Monster.
[00:05:41] Speaker D: Another can. Sorry, that was really judgy.
[00:05:46] Speaker F: Do not judge my caffeine habits.
[00:05:49] Speaker C: But see, you are one to talk.
[00:05:50] Speaker D: Okay, well, you know what?
[00:05:52] Speaker F: I live off of caffeine and the tears of my enemies.
[00:05:56] Speaker D: I don't have any animations.
[00:05:57] Speaker A: She's all out of.
[00:05:57] Speaker D: Hey, what did you get?
[00:05:59] Speaker F: Another can of monsters.
I got some pretty cool stuff. I got a really cool ancestry feat, but it is not as exciting as one of my fifth level spells.
[00:06:09] Speaker E: What's your fifth level spell?
It's called Black Tentacles Tenty Arms 2.
[00:06:19] Speaker F: Yep.
[00:06:22] Speaker C: Dang. I look forward to seeing that in action.
[00:06:27] Speaker F: What this is. Unfortunately it's three actions to cast this spell, but it's. It was pretty cool. Oily black tentacles rise up and attempt to grapple each creature in the area. Make spell attack rolls against the fortitude DC of each creature. Any creature you succeed against is grabbed and takes 3d6 bludgeoning damage. Whenever a creature ends its turn in the area, the tentacles attempt to grab that creature if they haven't already. And they deal 1d6 block bludgeoning damage to any creature already grabbed.
[00:06:55] Speaker E: That sounds absolutely. So isn't it any mission around you or do you get to choose an area?
[00:06:59] Speaker F: It is range of 120ft and a 20 foot burst adjacent to any flat surface.
[00:07:07] Speaker E: That's great.
[00:07:08] Speaker F: Duration. One minute.
[00:07:09] Speaker C: You can put them on walls.
[00:07:10] Speaker E: You can put them on ceilings.
[00:07:13] Speaker F: I can just.
[00:07:13] Speaker C: Or on a brazier.
[00:07:15] Speaker F: I can literally just. If someone's standing against the wall, I can just like re. Like cast it and then just hug him against the wall for a little bit.
[00:07:23] Speaker E: So terrifying.
[00:07:24] Speaker F: I know.
[00:07:26] Speaker C: I like.
[00:07:28] Speaker F: Gives me joy.
[00:07:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Cult casters have some really cool spells.
[00:07:32] Speaker F: Yeah, they do.
[00:07:33] Speaker E: Why are you looking at me like that?
[00:07:35] Speaker C: Because you always complain about occult spellcasting.
[00:07:38] Speaker E: Yeah, it's not as good as other spell casting. Fight me.
[00:07:42] Speaker F: I mean, I like my spells.
[00:07:44] Speaker E: No, I'm not.
[00:07:45] Speaker F: I like my spells. I'm sorry. Spell. And what did you get?
[00:07:49] Speaker A: I.
I am not gonna tell you.
[00:07:54] Speaker F: What.
[00:07:55] Speaker D: Aww.
[00:07:56] Speaker E: We've all shared.
[00:07:57] Speaker F: Fine. Keep your secrets for now.
[00:07:59] Speaker C: What ability did you boost?
[00:08:01] Speaker A: I boosted constitution too.
[00:08:03] Speaker C: Oh, nice. So did I, buddy.
[00:08:04] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:08:05] Speaker C: Yeah. What's your health points?
[00:08:08] Speaker A: I'm also a master in society.
[00:08:12] Speaker F: That is not what he asked.
[00:08:13] Speaker A: That is not what you asked, bro.
[00:08:15] Speaker E: What's your health? I'm a master in society. Good for you.
[00:08:18] Speaker B: You take 20 damage but hold you consider I'm a master in society.
[00:08:25] Speaker F: Oh, I finally became trained in.
[00:08:27] Speaker A: My HP is 134.
[00:08:30] Speaker C: That's my HP.
[00:08:33] Speaker A: I actually have something cool that I got. I just. I don't want to say it right now.
[00:08:36] Speaker F: That sounds so nice to have 134 hp. Good Lord. So I am the squishiest one.
[00:08:43] Speaker E: Well, you have more health than me though.
[00:08:45] Speaker F: But I only have 24 aces.
[00:08:48] Speaker A: You got. You got squishy arms.
[00:08:50] Speaker C: You're giving your take.
[00:08:52] Speaker F: I haven't had an excuse to use tentacle arms lately.
[00:08:55] Speaker C: There's always an excuse.
[00:08:56] Speaker E: I've missed them to use tentacle arms.
[00:08:57] Speaker A: All right.
[00:08:58] Speaker F: Is there always.
[00:09:00] Speaker C: When you were talking to squibs. You could have just popped him out.
[00:09:02] Speaker E: Rubbed his face with it.
[00:09:03] Speaker F: That's weird.
[00:09:05] Speaker D: I am so excited to go around the biceps.
[00:09:09] Speaker F: I only caress someone with a tentacle arm if I'm about to slap them.
[00:09:12] Speaker E: That's fair.
[00:09:13] Speaker A: That's fair.
[00:09:13] Speaker E: Gibbs doesn't deserve to be slapped.
[00:09:15] Speaker A: You guys haven't had your first fight yet.
[00:09:16] Speaker C: What about that?
[00:09:17] Speaker F: I mean, we came pretty close the.
[00:09:20] Speaker C: Bar and those three were drunk. You get a simple slap with your tentacle.
[00:09:23] Speaker F: I could have. I could have just like cephalopod arms just grabbed Neros and Neros.
[00:09:29] Speaker E: Neros grabbed.
[00:09:30] Speaker A: Give yourself a big hug, grabbed Zafir.
[00:09:33] Speaker F: And Einar and just like slammed their head on the table. It's like.
[00:09:36] Speaker D: Stop it.
[00:09:39] Speaker B: So I do have to ask, Nero, since you were heading to the bar, trying to find the wayward members of the party, are you going to be tentacle arm and grabbing them and bringing them back to the headquarters or.
[00:09:49] Speaker F: I don't know. You're the gm, you tell me.
[00:09:53] Speaker B: All right. So Neros is walking down the streets of Joel. One hand is holding like Zafir's. The back of Zafir's shirt and the other hand holding the back of Einar's shirt. And she's just dragging them down the road.
[00:10:06] Speaker A: Holding the back of Einar's shirt.
[00:10:09] Speaker B: Yeah, she's very strong for this scene, only tall.
[00:10:13] Speaker E: No, that's the tentacle arms give her.
[00:10:15] Speaker C: You should be laying on the ground as well. As much as you need to be.
[00:10:17] Speaker B: Oh yeah, she's dragging you.
[00:10:19] Speaker C: You are.
[00:10:19] Speaker F: Listen, you're so drunk, your strength is out the window.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: I'm just stumbling along.
[00:10:25] Speaker B: We do that like quintessential bit from every movie where there's like eyes opening and closing montage of various scenes of them being dragged back and cloth being pressed to their forehead.
[00:10:39] Speaker F: Oh, Neros would not be that nice. She'd throw them in like in a corner and be like, sober up.
[00:10:44] Speaker B: It's the old man landlord guy who's just like very tenderly caring for the two drunkards.
[00:10:52] Speaker E: I could see it.
[00:10:54] Speaker B: Fortunately, the friggin fig filler wears off quickly and by morning the two of them are feeling.
To be honest, your hangover is not an enviable situation. But you are in your right mind.
[00:11:09] Speaker F: Nero says, fixed up. A hangover cure for both of you.
Because she is experienced in the hangover.
[00:11:17] Speaker D: Did you have anything to drink?
[00:11:19] Speaker F: No.
[00:11:20] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:11:21] Speaker A: Einard, just after he sits up.
Oh.
[00:11:29] Speaker F: Neros just takes a big breath.
I won't yell at you. I'M sorry, good morning.
[00:11:37] Speaker A: You just see him, like, he hears the breath and he. He. It's as if he knows what to expect.
And you see him tense and wince, and then you stop and he's like, morning.
[00:11:53] Speaker F: And then as she leaves, she slams the door.
Oh.
[00:12:00] Speaker D: Wait. Are we in the same room?
[00:12:02] Speaker A: I think so.
[00:12:03] Speaker E: So the apartment only had three rooms.
[00:12:08] Speaker D: So, yes, I. I can definitely see the. Them. Them pairing us up. Because we're so much alike. Right?
[00:12:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:12:17] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:12:18] Speaker F: At least for sleeping off the alcohol just dumped you both in the same spot.
[00:12:25] Speaker D: Zafir rolls over and looks at Einar on the opposite side of the room.
[00:12:35] Speaker F: You've been cuddling all night.
[00:12:39] Speaker E: I like to imagine Einar as the little spoon.
[00:12:41] Speaker B: Yes, I was about to say that.
[00:12:44] Speaker D: Zafir looks at him and he says, did we find anything out about. About Hodie yesterday?
[00:12:57] Speaker A: Bits and pieces.
Other than, that's a good drink. We're not going back there again.
And they talk to what's her name? And he just rubs his temple and then reaches over and grabs one of the concoctions. Sniffs it, grimaces, takes a swallow.
If we.
If they lose svelte, that's who they're talk. That's who he's talking to them through.
[00:13:36] Speaker D: Supposedly, that's what you got out of.
[00:13:39] Speaker A: That most important bit that I can remember.
[00:13:43] Speaker D: I just remember the rest of it's.
[00:13:44] Speaker A: A bit of a blur.
[00:13:45] Speaker D: Zafir gets up and he walks over and grabs whatever the. You gave us separate cups, correct?
[00:13:51] Speaker F: Yes, I did.
[00:13:52] Speaker D: Okay. He grabs whatever and just downs the stuff.
[00:13:54] Speaker F: Oh, that's brave.
[00:13:57] Speaker A: Inar just looks at you and just. Is just waiting.
[00:14:01] Speaker D: And he looks at Einar, goes, I've been through worse.
Anyway.
[00:14:10] Speaker C: She.
[00:14:11] Speaker D: I guess this stuff really did affect me. I'm just.
[00:14:14] Speaker A: You should sit down.
[00:14:15] Speaker D: I want to step out. I think I need to stretch my legs.
[00:14:19] Speaker A: By all means.
[00:14:20] Speaker D: He takes one step and then he falls back and just sits on his butt on the floor.
All right, I'm gonna sit here.
So tell me more. What do you remember?
[00:14:34] Speaker A: As I said, most of it's a blur.
[00:14:38] Speaker D: It seems it's come to me to remind you of what you need to know. That sounds like it's a quote from the Godfather.
[00:14:44] Speaker E: But, I mean, I think that is genuinely the most important thing we learned.
[00:14:48] Speaker B: Is that that's the most significant thing.
[00:14:50] Speaker C: We can kill Svelte.
[00:14:51] Speaker A: No, no, no.
[00:14:53] Speaker B: What I think will be and interesting is you guys had a really long conversation with Hody on the matter of hours of talking with him. So I think from this point forward, if you have a question about the Aridsons or Joel, you can make a society check to see if you remember the answer to that question.
[00:15:11] Speaker A: Oh, that's fun.
[00:15:13] Speaker F: Good job, boys.
[00:15:14] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:15:14] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:15:15] Speaker A: You walk in and say that?
[00:15:16] Speaker F: No, I don't.
[00:15:17] Speaker D: Socialization. Yay.
[00:15:20] Speaker A: I told you, you need to sit down.
[00:15:22] Speaker D: I'm sitting. I think I'm sitting. Yeah, this is sitting.
[00:15:28] Speaker A: You know, her draughts are always like that.
[00:15:31] Speaker C: Just.
[00:15:33] Speaker D: Have you had more of her potions?
[00:15:37] Speaker A: As soon as you ask that question, he realizes what he just said.
Yeah, I wouldn't have a wheel of drinking.
[00:15:49] Speaker D: I guess I don't hang out enough with you guys. This is.
I feel like I'm on my own journey of discovery.
I was thinking while I was. I was. I was dreaming of things. I think I may have had some confidence some of it might be real, some of it might not be. It might have been dreaming of what we, you know, we're talking about yesterday. By the way, did you see a giant spider or was that a dream?
[00:16:16] Speaker A: And you see him pause absentmindedly, take another sip, realize what he just did?
No, I don't remember.
[00:16:29] Speaker D: This may be my memory playing tricks on me, but did you ever tell us what you did before you were here with us? Before we found you in the Grungir Forest?
[00:16:41] Speaker A: I was with Uvaire, remember?
[00:16:44] Speaker D: Right.
That's so confusing, because we were. I mean, you know, this whole thing. We were with him and Pat weren't. Then we killed him, but it wasn't him. And then you were there, but you seemed to know more about.
Because you were whistling that song.
[00:17:07] Speaker A: It probably wasn't that song to.
[00:17:12] Speaker D: Well, if you can't remember. I mean, I don't. I don't remember a lot either.
[00:17:18] Speaker A: It. It's complicated. Zafir.
It is a nice song, though.
[00:17:26] Speaker D: I agree. I've warmed up to it.
I didn't used to like it. I don't like people perceiving me, and I felt very targeted by it.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: But I thought it was an apt description of you. I mean, I don't know you that well, but it was fun.
[00:17:44] Speaker D: I don't necessarily have the ability to read all of it, but I'm an open book.
Speaking of that. And I pull out my book and I just start looking at it.
[00:17:55] Speaker E: As you pull out the book, you just hear, knock, knock.
[00:18:00] Speaker A: Not so loud.
[00:18:01] Speaker E: Knock, knock.
It's actually more of thud, thud.
[00:18:06] Speaker D: Oh.
You know the secret code is knock, knock, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, thud, thud. That's not part of it.
[00:18:13] Speaker A: Hold on. I'll get it. And he just opens up the door that I'm sure squeaks a little bit. And he just comes unglued.
[00:18:25] Speaker E: There's just a floating note that says breakfast is ready.
[00:18:30] Speaker A: He grabs it, pulls it up to his eyes real close.
Breakfast downstairs.
Can you stand?
[00:18:44] Speaker D: I can crawl.
[00:18:46] Speaker A: I'll help.
[00:18:48] Speaker D: Wait, are there any shadows in here?
[00:18:51] Speaker B: I mean, sure, there'll be like a shadow under the bed or a shadow behind a door.
[00:18:56] Speaker D: Can I use my new ability to just teleport myself 30ft increments.
[00:19:05] Speaker B: Every like 10 seconds?
[00:19:07] Speaker D: Boop, boop. Like I'm just gonna. Because it's my own shadow that has to create the first one. And I. I do that. I just fall back into my own shadow and pop out in the hallway where there's a nice little corner shadow.
Well, that was cool.
[00:19:25] Speaker B: I just have this cool visual in my mind of you, like falling over backwards and the camera follows you and when you pass through the floor, you fall back up through the floor where you were going to.
[00:19:35] Speaker D: Like that scene from Pirates of the Caribbean with the ship overturning into the underside and the camera's.
Yeah. So I do that in about six times.
I'll finally make it to the kitchen.
[00:19:49] Speaker E: How big do you think this apartment is?
[00:19:52] Speaker A: Well, it gets bigger every episode.
[00:19:53] Speaker D: I think I have to be able to see.
Now has two stories and I can only do shadows. So like if I can't see that there's a shadow.
[00:20:02] Speaker E: That's fair.
[00:20:03] Speaker A: Since when will you able to do that?
[00:20:06] Speaker D: I'm not sure. Maybe since yesterday. I've woken something in myself.
[00:20:12] Speaker B: He's just disappear.
[00:20:16] Speaker A: Wow.
And he looks genuinely surprised.
[00:20:19] Speaker E: Wait, are you going to appear under the table?
Yes, that's where the shadow is.
[00:20:26] Speaker D: Yes, I am.
How is this table laid out? Like, is it a four leg? Is it an island? Is it a.
[00:20:32] Speaker E: If it was an island, you wouldn't be able to go underneath it.
[00:20:35] Speaker D: Well, some of them have like a little alcove. Alcove.
[00:20:38] Speaker B: It's a cantilever off the wall.
[00:20:41] Speaker D: I can't imagine that right now for some reason.
[00:20:47] Speaker E: It's directly shoved into the wall.
[00:20:49] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:20:50] Speaker B: Yeah. There's no legs, no pedestal or anything under it. It's just.
[00:20:54] Speaker C: Just sticking out of the wall.
[00:20:55] Speaker E: Yeah. I don't like that though. That is not canon.
[00:21:01] Speaker B: Things.
[00:21:03] Speaker F: Just because we don't like something doesn't mean that we can just say it's not canon.
[00:21:07] Speaker E: This is my apartment.
[00:21:09] Speaker C: No, it's my apartment.
[00:21:11] Speaker D: We push the war map to the side for the moment.
[00:21:14] Speaker A: No.
[00:21:15] Speaker B: Are you eating off the war table?
[00:21:18] Speaker D: The eggs are advancing in. Joel.
Breakfast.
[00:21:24] Speaker E: How did you get under the table?
[00:21:25] Speaker C: Oh, sorry. That sounded ruder. What are you doing down there?
[00:21:29] Speaker D: I whooshed you.
[00:21:32] Speaker E: You what?
[00:21:32] Speaker D: I whooshed.
[00:21:33] Speaker F: Where's Inar?
[00:21:34] Speaker D: He's coming.
[00:21:35] Speaker A: You just hear heavy thud, thud. As he walks down the stairs slowly.
[00:21:42] Speaker F: Good morning.
[00:21:44] Speaker C: I was worried he was gonna be.
[00:21:45] Speaker A: Good morning.
[00:21:47] Speaker F: Did you finish all of that?
[00:21:49] Speaker A: I did.
[00:21:50] Speaker C: Good job.
[00:21:51] Speaker D: Oh, me too. It was lovely. I'm still sitting.
[00:21:54] Speaker A: He drank it all in one go. And he looks at Nero.
[00:21:57] Speaker F: Neros looks a little horrified.
[00:21:59] Speaker C: Zafir, you can get up from under the table.
[00:22:01] Speaker D: I don't know if I can.
[00:22:03] Speaker C: Here, take my hand.
[00:22:05] Speaker D: He grabs your hand.
[00:22:06] Speaker F: That's not meant to be downed all at once.
[00:22:09] Speaker C: Here, just sit. Sit right here.
[00:22:10] Speaker D: Zafir, I don't think I ever stood. I think you just picked me up with my arm. With your arm?
[00:22:15] Speaker C: Yeah. Set you down. Set me down?
[00:22:17] Speaker D: Like a crane. No crane.
[00:22:18] Speaker A: It's a mistake you make once.
[00:22:21] Speaker C: Here's a napkin.
[00:22:22] Speaker D: Oh, I'll make that mistake again. Trust me.
[00:22:24] Speaker A: And he just sits down.
[00:22:26] Speaker F: What? This is the first time I've ever made this for you.
[00:22:31] Speaker A: Surely not.
[00:22:33] Speaker F: See? He's doing it again.
[00:22:34] Speaker C: Doing what?
[00:22:35] Speaker F: He just did it.
[00:22:36] Speaker C: What?
[00:22:36] Speaker F: The saying things that. It implies that he knows more than he does. He just did it.
[00:22:42] Speaker D: That's a very strong assumption there. Maybe he just forgot.
[00:22:46] Speaker E: Is this about his stuff?
[00:22:48] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:22:49] Speaker E: Albert's gonna turn around and just go back to making eggs.
[00:22:56] Speaker D: We canonize the eggs.
[00:22:59] Speaker C: They are very good, by the way.
[00:23:01] Speaker E: Thank you.
[00:23:02] Speaker C: Eggs.
[00:23:03] Speaker A: Inar is just trying his best to ignore it. Like I'm not thinking correctly. I'm not talking correctly. I'm going to stay out of trouble now.
[00:23:16] Speaker C: Well, speaking of Einar.
[00:23:20] Speaker A: He'S sitting there, his eyes half closed, because it's bright.
[00:23:24] Speaker C: I shall.
[00:23:25] Speaker A: But he opens one.
[00:23:26] Speaker C: I should have food first.
[00:23:27] Speaker D: I'll wait while we're eating. What did everybody do yesterday?
[00:23:34] Speaker F: I committed terrorism.
[00:23:36] Speaker E: You did what?
[00:23:37] Speaker D: We'll put a pin in that.
[00:23:39] Speaker C: No, we will not.
I thought you were looking for that fella.
[00:23:46] Speaker F: Oh, I found him.
[00:23:47] Speaker C: And then you committed terrorism with him.
[00:23:50] Speaker D: Was the terrorism first or second?
[00:23:52] Speaker F: Second.
[00:23:52] Speaker C: Was he doing it? Yes.
[00:23:55] Speaker F: By the way, he first question he asked me when he realized who I was, was if I knew you alward and if I was part of the Resistance.
[00:24:06] Speaker E: People are committing terrorism with my name?
[00:24:08] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:24:08] Speaker D: Ooh, you're a terrorist.
[00:24:10] Speaker B: No, I'm not.
[00:24:11] Speaker C: I thought you were just an embezzler.
[00:24:12] Speaker F: All in the name of the Resistance. Elwood, I must assure you.
[00:24:21] Speaker E: As I get more flustered, the eggs in the pan start wobbling and then fly out of the pan.
[00:24:27] Speaker C: Oh, no.
[00:24:28] Speaker F: Maybe step away from the stove if you're gonna freak out.
[00:24:30] Speaker E: It's fine.
[00:24:31] Speaker D: I asked for scrambled, not an omelet. I didn't actually ask, but I'm just.
[00:24:37] Speaker F: I. Okay, I'm not. I didn't plant bombs, but I did tell someone that they needed to leave.
[00:24:42] Speaker C: But there were bombs.
[00:24:43] Speaker F: There were. Oh, there were many bombs.
There's so many bombs. I don't know if he ever put them anywhere because I don't remember hearing any explosions. Although he did say he needed to blow up the ground. I don't know what that means.
[00:24:56] Speaker D: Did you get any of these bombs?
[00:24:58] Speaker F: Yes. Yes, actually, I did.
[00:25:00] Speaker D: We could blow up the.
Not. What is the word? Please don't blow this tension.
[00:25:07] Speaker F: The aritzen, it's one bomb. I don't think it's gonna do that.
[00:25:10] Speaker D: Well, maybe we can reverse engineer it and make more out of that.
[00:25:13] Speaker C: Is that fair? I don't think we should be blowing people up.
[00:25:16] Speaker E: No one commit more acts of terrorism.
[00:25:19] Speaker D: We just make sure they're out. They don't have a base.
[00:25:22] Speaker F: I technically am not the one that committed terror.
[00:25:25] Speaker A: What did you do after our. You say don't commit any more acts of terrorism. Anybody who's either near Einhar or listening carefully just hears this snort as if from behind a coffee cup.
[00:25:41] Speaker E: Did you do terrorism yesterday, too?
[00:25:44] Speaker C: What?
[00:25:45] Speaker D: Not any more than usual. We were together.
[00:25:47] Speaker A: Yeah, we talked to Hodie. For.
For how long was.
[00:25:53] Speaker C: How'd that go? I didn't seem like it was going very well. In the alleyway?
[00:25:56] Speaker F: Well, I walked in on it and they were all hugging.
[00:25:59] Speaker D: We had a few drinks.
[00:26:00] Speaker E: You guys found Hodie?
[00:26:02] Speaker D: No, he found.
[00:26:03] Speaker C: Well, oh, yeah, we took. Yeah, we didn't find him in the bar. He had our wanted posters.
[00:26:08] Speaker D: Yeah, he wanted to kill us, but now he does.
[00:26:10] Speaker C: He turned into a rat and we caught him.
[00:26:12] Speaker A: I caught him. Yeah.
[00:26:13] Speaker D: This is very disjointed. Are you getting all the details?
[00:26:16] Speaker A: Yeah, but other than he promised not to kill us anymore.
[00:26:21] Speaker C: Oh, that's great.
[00:26:22] Speaker D: Did he really promise?
[00:26:24] Speaker F: Listen, you all were hugging and saying you were best friends when I walked in the tavern, so it ended well.
[00:26:30] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:26:30] Speaker F: They were very drunk.
[00:26:32] Speaker E: Oh, it ended okay.
[00:26:36] Speaker F: I think so.
[00:26:36] Speaker C: Is he gonna remember it ending okay?
[00:26:39] Speaker F: They said they were best friends.
[00:26:42] Speaker E: Good.
[00:26:42] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:26:44] Speaker A: Pretty cool guy. Honestly, the shiny thing, really interesting how it works, I think.
Anyway, we did learned that selfie svelte, right? Svelte.
[00:27:03] Speaker D: We took a selfie.
We became best friends.
[00:27:06] Speaker F: Smile.
[00:27:08] Speaker E: We learned a new term from him.
[00:27:12] Speaker A: Svelte.
What I do remember clearly. Ered talks to the family.
And he does big quotations through Svelte's dreams.
[00:27:26] Speaker D: Do you remember Svelte, Alwood?
[00:27:28] Speaker E: Yeah. The blind woman who cast darkness. When you tried to kidnap her, what were you doing in that room?
[00:27:34] Speaker A: Was this the doorknob thing?
[00:27:36] Speaker D: Yes. Quick, quick thing. We were at the house and I went into the bedroom where she was.
[00:27:40] Speaker E: We already told him all this.
[00:27:42] Speaker D: But we also met Siggy there, which was part of it.
[00:27:45] Speaker E: So, Val, please tell me you had a normal day.
[00:27:50] Speaker C: Well, after I left them, I went to the temple for a little while and I decided on this new face paint on the side of her face where the skull pattern used to be. Now it's all lines of music that she has all down there.
[00:28:05] Speaker E: That's nice.
[00:28:07] Speaker C: Thank you.
So there's also other revelations, but I don't think that they're breakfast revelations.
[00:28:14] Speaker E: Am I the only one with a normal day?
[00:28:17] Speaker C: Well, what'd you do?
[00:28:18] Speaker D: Yeah, what did you do?
[00:28:19] Speaker E: I went to the library. Underground. That's it?
[00:28:22] Speaker A: That's normal.
[00:28:23] Speaker E: Oh, back to the thing compared to what you guys did.
[00:28:27] Speaker A: What'd you find? Anything?
[00:28:28] Speaker E: Oh, the family's collecting dead bodies. And I learned some stuff about flesh warping.
[00:28:34] Speaker F: The family's collecting what?
[00:28:36] Speaker E: They're dead. Flesh warping from ancient Thessalonian.
[00:28:40] Speaker F: They're collecting the dead bodies?
[00:28:42] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:28:42] Speaker C: Of ancient Thassolon?
[00:28:43] Speaker F: No, I'm hoping just to bury them.
[00:28:46] Speaker E: Same.
[00:28:47] Speaker C: Probably not.
[00:28:49] Speaker A: So what's on? What's the next plan? What do we have to do? We can go after Svelte and take away the communication with Arid.
[00:29:00] Speaker C: Oh, I have and I had.
So. Okay, so I spoke to Pharasma yesterday. She was at the temple.
[00:29:09] Speaker F: I'm sorry, Just casually speaking to Pharasma.
[00:29:12] Speaker C: It wasn't very casually.
[00:29:14] Speaker E: I'm. Is this part of your thing?
[00:29:16] Speaker C: Yeah, it's part of my whole thing.
A lot of things came up because I was looking for guidance, because I'm feeling a little lost. So I got some answers there. I met another fella, Barzok, I believe he was there. He's the usher of the psychopomps, you know? So he was. He was hanging out there. He's not usually outside of the road of the dead roads.
[00:29:41] Speaker D: Are you just friends with these things?
[00:29:43] Speaker B: The dead roads?
[00:29:45] Speaker C: No, I just. I've read about them recently and he had some stuff to talk about, but he didn't get to tell me. About them because Phrasma showed up instead and told them to get away.
[00:29:58] Speaker E: When you said that, you had non breakfast related revelations.
[00:30:02] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Related to Neros and Einar.
[00:30:06] Speaker A: What do you mean, Neros and Einar?
[00:30:08] Speaker C: Phrasma said some things about Neros and also told me that you have to tell us your secrets.
[00:30:14] Speaker F: I like that idea. I think he does need to tell us the secrets.
[00:30:17] Speaker C: I'm sorry, but.
[00:30:18] Speaker F: What are you sorry about?
[00:30:20] Speaker C: I'll talk about it later.
[00:30:22] Speaker D: I'm just trying to enjoy my eggs. You all are just.
[00:30:25] Speaker C: They are very good eggs. And the French toast is to die for.
[00:30:29] Speaker A: What?
[00:30:30] Speaker C: What?
[00:30:30] Speaker A: You met with Pharasma?
[00:30:32] Speaker C: Yes, she was there.
[00:30:33] Speaker A: The lady of Graves? Yes.
[00:30:34] Speaker C: It was pretty nice. They were in the reflections on the floors.
[00:30:38] Speaker A: They were in the reflections on the floor.
[00:30:40] Speaker C: But then when Bazrak left, they made a portal through a tapestry and he went through there. And then he looked back at me.
[00:30:48] Speaker D: And I thought I was drunk.
[00:30:50] Speaker C: I wasn't drunk.
[00:30:51] Speaker F: I think you two were the only ones that were drunk.
[00:30:53] Speaker A: And Pharasma said that I need to tell you my secrets.
[00:30:59] Speaker C: I asked her about guidance and things, and she was all like, well, you kind of make that yourself. So I can't tell you a lot of things, but I will set you up by telling you you need to talk to Einar about his secrets.
[00:31:10] Speaker E: How is doing active acts of terrorism not the most exciting thing that happened to us yesterday?
[00:31:16] Speaker C: Yeah. She also mentioned that there are people that I trust and I don't trust. She said. Well, she said that they're trying to control the fates of some other people. And she was not very pleased about that.
[00:31:29] Speaker E: Do you not trust Einar?
[00:31:30] Speaker C: I trust and I don't know. She said trust and don't trust. I don't know if there's someone. If it's like two people, maybe it's someone I trust and someone I don't trust. Or she's just being really vague about it. And it's just someone I know who is trying to control other people's fates. And separately, she told me to ask about Unear Ivar.
[00:31:51] Speaker E: You're gonna get there.
[00:31:52] Speaker C: Einar's secrets.
Yeah. So there is someone who's doing bad things that I might trust or might not trust that we should stop. And it didn't seem to be erid since I brought them up.
[00:32:06] Speaker E: Would it be necessarily a bad thing? I mean, what exactly?
[00:32:09] Speaker C: She was not very happy about it.
[00:32:12] Speaker E: I mean, I guess that makes sense.
[00:32:14] Speaker C: And she's already in a bit of a tussie.
[00:32:17] Speaker D: I don't know about you, but it sounds like me that she was trying to control you. No.
[00:32:22] Speaker C: I asked her for guidance on what I should do and she gave me some things.
[00:32:26] Speaker E: Can we get back to Einar's secrets.
[00:32:28] Speaker C: About some other stuff?
I would like you to tell me your secrets. Us? Your secrets.
Seems like it's a big deal.
[00:32:38] Speaker A: There are people that are trying to control.
[00:32:41] Speaker C: Yeah, control Fates.
[00:32:43] Speaker E: What secrets do you have?
[00:32:45] Speaker A: I don't want to hear from you.
[00:32:46] Speaker E: I'm sorry. Gonna turn back around.
[00:32:50] Speaker C: You shouldn't talk to Howard like that, Einar.
It's very rude.
[00:32:55] Speaker E: Uh.
[00:33:00] Speaker A: I need some air. And he just gets up and walks out.
[00:33:04] Speaker F: Well, okay.
[00:33:06] Speaker C: I'm sure he'll come back.
[00:33:07] Speaker D: I don't know about you all, but I really need time to relax before some earth changing revelations happen.
[00:33:14] Speaker F: Well, we don't always get what we want.
[00:33:16] Speaker D: I'm just gonna lounge out on the couch for a little bit. You still have a couch, right, Alwood?
[00:33:20] Speaker E: I don't know. Check in the room that became the storage room.
[00:33:26] Speaker C: What room?
[00:33:27] Speaker E: It was Lena's room.
[00:33:29] Speaker D: Alright. Come and get me when the earth is changing.
[00:33:35] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:33:36] Speaker C: Do you want to hear the other big thing or you want to wait till later before you go to that closet?
[00:33:45] Speaker D: Lena stayed in a closet.
[00:33:48] Speaker F: She had to keep an eye on all the brooms.
[00:33:51] Speaker D: I mean, I feel like there's just so much going on.
[00:33:57] Speaker C: That's okay. We'll talk about it more later, I'm sure.
[00:34:00] Speaker E: Maybe just air it out now so we know.
[00:34:02] Speaker C: Oh, I can talk about it. No, he's gonna walk away. I didn't want him to miss it if he wanted to hear it.
It's just about Nero's stuff.
[00:34:10] Speaker D: After thinking about it for a second, Zafir kind of stops and just leaves the door open.
I don't think that the apartment is that big, so he should be able to still hear.
[00:34:20] Speaker E: It's gonna get bigger every time we talk about it.
[00:34:23] Speaker C: He came downstairs.
[00:34:25] Speaker E: You teleported multiple 30ft.
[00:34:28] Speaker D: I had to see the shadows. I need to know where I was going.
[00:34:30] Speaker E: There's now a basement.
[00:34:32] Speaker D: I'm still listening. I'm just sitting down.
[00:34:35] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:34:36] Speaker D: Actually, hold on.
As you see Zafir dragging the couch out.
[00:34:43] Speaker F: My gosh.
[00:34:46] Speaker C: Okay. All right. So Nero's so sorry. Is giving me all this good, good stuff. Good guidance.
The so the whole. The Barzak color. He's usher. He's the usher of Psychopomp. So he's kind of like in charge of Psychopomp.
[00:35:05] Speaker F: You mentioned that.
[00:35:06] Speaker C: Yeah.
He's also very Raveny too.
[00:35:10] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:35:11] Speaker C: Very bird. Like he said he had. He was saying he had a job for me, but he didn't want to say it in front of Pharasma. It seemed like so far as interrupted it and sent him away.
So I asked about you to Pharasma because I was talking to her and I felt like it was a good opportunity to ask about your parents.
[00:35:32] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:35:34] Speaker C: But she got really upset when I brought you up.
Had. She told me really not to speak about you.
She said you were.
Oh, what's the word she used?
That you basically shouldn't.
[00:35:53] Speaker F: Shouldn't what?
[00:35:56] Speaker C: That your very existence essentially is in defiance to nature. That you shouldn't exist, basically. She seemed really upset but didn't want to get too into it.
[00:36:10] Speaker F: I shouldn't exist?
[00:36:12] Speaker D: That's not very nice.
[00:36:13] Speaker C: Yeah, that's. Yeah, she got upset about it and.
[00:36:17] Speaker F: What did I ever do to her?
[00:36:18] Speaker C: I don't know.
[00:36:19] Speaker D: Apparently you existed.
[00:36:20] Speaker C: I'm not sure something happened.
[00:36:23] Speaker F: She's the goddess that I worship. Sort of.
[00:36:25] Speaker C: Yeah. I thought she'd be cooler about that.
[00:36:28] Speaker E: So we have a God angry at us just because Nero's is with us now.
[00:36:32] Speaker C: She's really happy with me.
[00:36:35] Speaker F: I've been with all of you before she got here.
[00:36:38] Speaker E: That's true.
[00:36:39] Speaker C: That's true.
I'm not sure. I really don't know. She.
I asked her more badges if there's anything I could do to help with the situation and you. And she said basically when there's something that she'll have me done about you.
[00:36:57] Speaker F: She'Ll let me know to be done about me.
[00:37:01] Speaker C: Something like that.
[00:37:02] Speaker F: What is she gonna have you do? Kill me?
[00:37:05] Speaker E: Don't. Don't kill. Don't. Don't kill Nero.
[00:37:07] Speaker C: I don't plan to kill Neros.
[00:37:09] Speaker F: What would you do if she asked you to kill me?
[00:37:13] Speaker C: That's so crazy. Hypothetical that I'd rather not think about right now.
[00:37:16] Speaker F: Well, that's what it sounds like. She's planning that.
[00:37:19] Speaker C: I don't believe that that would happen.
[00:37:22] Speaker F: You cannot believe it. And it would still hap. It could still happen.
She's a God. She can do whatever she wants.
[00:37:30] Speaker C: Yeah, well, yeah.
[00:37:35] Speaker F: She can't help that I exist.
It's not my fault that I exist.
I'm sorry that that offends her.
[00:37:43] Speaker C: I assume it has something to do with your parents. But she didn't give any details about them or really say anything about them, only about you.
So I tried to find out something from her in relation to it. So I mentioned you found out that.
[00:38:06] Speaker F: She thinks I'm an abomination.
[00:38:11] Speaker E: I don't think. Did she say that?
[00:38:13] Speaker F: I mean, this is what it sounds like.
[00:38:15] Speaker C: Like shouldn't say those words though.
[00:38:19] Speaker F: It's exactly what it sounds like.
[00:38:20] Speaker C: Well, I brought up Carvis to her.
[00:38:24] Speaker F: After her being angry that I exist. You brought up Corvus?
[00:38:28] Speaker A: What.
[00:38:29] Speaker E: What's Corvus?
[00:38:30] Speaker F: It's not your business.
[00:38:33] Speaker C: He's a psychopomp.
[00:38:35] Speaker E: I don't think Neros wants me to.
[00:38:37] Speaker C: Know, Val, but because Barzok seemed. He gave me the impression that he.
Maybe I was reading too much into it, that he seemed to have something very definitive for me that might have been related to the situation with Corvus.
So I thought maybe if her asthma had already known. So I asked her if she knew what we'd been up to and that we had spoken to a psychic pump. And then she asked kind of a follow up question.
[00:39:12] Speaker F: Which was.
[00:39:14] Speaker C: Well, just more details about Corvus specifically. And then she said she'd had something she had to deal with. And Sol said, as soon as you.
[00:39:25] Speaker F: Say that she said she had something to go deal with. Nero stands up from whatever chair, stool or whatever she's been sitting on.
Acts like she doesn't know where to go.
She just kind of glances at the door, glances upstairs, just.
She's very angry, though.
[00:39:49] Speaker C: I told her how much you've helped me and that I want to. That if she can think of anything that we can do to, I don't know, rectify whatever happened.
[00:40:00] Speaker F: I don't know what happened.
[00:40:02] Speaker C: She seemed like maybe she'd think about that. And that's when she said if she thought of something, she'd let me know.
So maybe she'll figure something out. She might figure something out and it might go well, you know?
[00:40:15] Speaker F: Well, if I'm in a defiance to.
[00:40:18] Speaker C: Nature, maybe your parents did something.
Maybe it's related to your hands.
There's a lot of things no one seems to know about your birth.
[00:40:31] Speaker F: Well, I apparently shouldn't even exist, so I shouldn't have been born at all.
[00:40:37] Speaker D: None of us think that.
[00:40:39] Speaker F: Well, that's you.
[00:40:40] Speaker D: For the record.
[00:40:41] Speaker F: According to the. To a God, I just.
[00:40:44] Speaker C: But you are here. And that means you do have a fate of some sort.
[00:40:49] Speaker D: So far you've been doing pretty good.
Minus the act of terrorism. I mean, you've been doing very good things.
[00:40:59] Speaker C: I wouldn't be where I am now without you.
[00:41:04] Speaker F: I think I also need to get some air.
She walks out.
[00:41:12] Speaker C: So I wasn't gonna bring this up.
[00:41:13] Speaker E: At breakfast, but I think it's good you did. Now she has the whole day to think about it.
[00:41:20] Speaker C: I guess. So.
[00:41:22] Speaker E: Do. Do I keep saying wrong things?
[00:41:24] Speaker C: What do you mean?
[00:41:25] Speaker E: They both yelled at me.
[00:41:27] Speaker C: I didn't. Sorry, I didn't catch Nero's yelling at you.
[00:41:29] Speaker E: It's fine.
[00:41:31] Speaker C: I don't. I think they're just processing emotions now. Hopefully they understand that we are friends and we care about them.
I'm just also very confused about what's going on.
But I know. I feel very comfortable, confident that we might get some better idea of how to move forward when we hear from Einar.
[00:42:00] Speaker D: Val, didn't you entrust Neros with that thing that has the darkness in it?
[00:42:09] Speaker C: I think she has it. I don't really know. I haven't been keeping track of it.
[00:42:14] Speaker D: Could that be why?
[00:42:16] Speaker C: Why what?
[00:42:17] Speaker D: Why she seems to be the center of so much negativity?
[00:42:22] Speaker C: I'm not gonna say I know how an amulet filled with corrupting power from Urkathoa acts, but it certainly doesn't feel like I didn't get a feeling like I had gotten when I was under. It didn't seem like.
Just feels like someone processing emotions right now. She only just recently got it anyway. It wasn't that long ago.
[00:42:47] Speaker D: Well, it's true.
[00:42:48] Speaker C: A lot of this stuff's been building and brewing since before that.
[00:42:52] Speaker D: You've never been physically approached by a God until this point. Right.
[00:42:59] Speaker C: I feel like I've seen her before. It hasn't been as clear as it was today or yesterday.
I think I need to find a way to speak to Barzak.
He seemed like he knew something I was asking about, but I don't know how to speak to him. He doesn't really like to leave the dead roads. I'm not sure why. He had to have something very important to say to us or else he wouldn't have been there. There's no other reason for him to have been there.
[00:43:29] Speaker D: Where are these dead roads?
[00:43:31] Speaker C: They're in the boneyard.
[00:43:34] Speaker D: And where is this boneyard?
[00:43:38] Speaker E: It's like another plane of existence. Like this plane. The plane of law. The plane of fire.
[00:43:46] Speaker C: The dead roads are a network of routes that are connected, that connect the Boneyard to the rest of the universe. That's where all the psychopomps, they can't travel between planes regularly, so they use these.
These routes. And so they're transporting these souls or doing whatever their jobs are back and forth through here. And he is the Usher. He's kind of in charge of the psychopomps. He maintains these routes.
So he doesn't normally leave because if he leaves, if something goes wrong then big things could happen.
So him being there will not get out of my head. It means something very important and I don't know how to speak to him. Who? Corvus told Nero symbol.
[00:44:36] Speaker D: Who is Corvus again?
[00:44:38] Speaker C: He is a psychopomp.
He's doing things psychopomps don't normally do.
I never read about anyone a psychopomp like him when I was going through all my readings. But he has a connection to Nerus and her parents.
He's doing something there and I think Barozak might know something about it because he's in charge of him so he should know something. Barzak's like his boss, so he wants to know what's going on. And he had mentioned to us when we summoned him him that we needed to go to the boneyard at some point.
Like not when we die.
[00:45:25] Speaker D: So it sounds like we do need to speak with Barzok.
[00:45:28] Speaker C: That's if we have to go into the death roads to talk to him. That's not going to be very easy, Howard.
[00:45:36] Speaker D: Any ideas?
[00:45:40] Speaker E: What do I roll?
Occultism.
[00:45:45] Speaker C: That's a. It's a religious thing though.
[00:45:47] Speaker B: What do you want to know?
[00:45:48] Speaker E: Any ideas?
[00:45:51] Speaker B: About what?
[00:45:52] Speaker E: Getting to the boneyards. Not the boneyards. Getting to the. The bone road.
Yeah.
[00:45:59] Speaker B: To get on the dead roads you would need to be escorted by a psychopomp.
I'll just give you that one because you guys have been talking about the dead roads.
[00:46:06] Speaker C: Yeah. So if we need to be escorted by a psychopomp to get there and in theory we could summon Corvus again.
We have a way to talk to him and he could take us there.
[00:46:18] Speaker E: I'm sure there are spells that summon celestial beings. We might be able to find one to summon a psychopomp.
[00:46:27] Speaker C: I mean we've done it. We have a ritual for it so we can call him.
[00:46:33] Speaker E: When did you find the time?
[00:46:36] Speaker C: It's what I've been studying for a while now.
[00:46:39] Speaker E: No, to do the ritual.
[00:46:40] Speaker C: Oh. While we were in the forest.
[00:46:42] Speaker F: At that moment you hear frantic running footsteps coming back up to the door of the apartment and the door flies open and Nero's like burst back into the room, a little crazy eyed.
[00:46:57] Speaker C: Um, Is everything all right? Neros?
[00:46:59] Speaker F: What did you do?
[00:47:00] Speaker C: What?
What do you mean what did you do? What do. I didn't do anything.
[00:47:05] Speaker F: Corvus isn't there.
[00:47:06] Speaker C: What do you mean?
[00:47:07] Speaker F: I can't contact him.
[00:47:09] Speaker C: Can you normally? I thought you would do the ritual.
[00:47:12] Speaker F: To tell him no. You don't have to. Whenever you lost your mind and you were wandering back to whatever town that was before we got rid of whatever disease you had.
I just summoned him by calling to him, and he showed up.
He's not there.
You brought him into that discussion.
[00:47:36] Speaker C: I thought it would help you.
[00:47:40] Speaker D: You can't. He's not.
[00:47:41] Speaker F: He's not there.
He said he'd always be watching. He's always there and he's not there.
[00:47:50] Speaker C: Maybe he's busy.
[00:47:51] Speaker F: Maybe he's the last connection I had to my parents.
[00:47:53] Speaker C: Val, it doesn't mean he's gone forever. Maybe he's just talking to someone and then he'll be back.
[00:47:59] Speaker F: You know Pharasma got rid of him.
[00:48:01] Speaker C: I don't think that that would happen.
[00:48:03] Speaker F: How do you know?
[00:48:05] Speaker C: It's not typically how those things go, from my understanding. And I know a lot about psychopomps.
[00:48:12] Speaker D: You said that the psychopomps go through the dead road or whatever.
[00:48:16] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:48:17] Speaker D: Maybe he's out there talking to Barzok. Barzak.
Maybe they had a conversation or something, and he's just still talking over there. I mean, he could be watching, just not here.
I don't really know a lot about these things, but, you know, maybe I wouldn't lose all hope yet.
[00:48:41] Speaker F: Either way, it's. He's not there.
[00:48:45] Speaker C: I think Bars Ock is gonna have more answers. You remember Corvus told us we had to get to the boneyard? Sometimes I think that might be more of what he. That might be part of what he's talking about.
Because if we can get. If we can get a psychopomp to take us to the Dead roads, we can meet with Barza. He had no other reason to be there. Unless there's something very important.
[00:49:07] Speaker F: Well, it can't be Corvus now.
[00:49:09] Speaker C: It could be. Maybe just after a day or so. He'll be back.
I just think we need to let some time pass.
We'll need to hear from Einar about some stuff. And then he said it was dangerous to try to go to the boneyard right now and wait longer till we've understood more things. Maybe this is it. Or maybe there's still more we need to understand before we can dive a lot deeper into it.
But I'm not going to stop wanting to help.
[00:49:45] Speaker D: I think unless we have any pressing matters, we should just lay low today and try to figure out what we need to do tonight.
[00:50:04] Speaker E: I'm gonna go to the library again to see if the Thessalonians knew anything about psychopomps.
[00:50:13] Speaker C: I can go with you if.
[00:50:14] Speaker E: Oh, sure, if.
[00:50:16] Speaker D: All right, well, you two just go enjoy your books. I'm gonna stay here and talk to Rustaford. And he starts to shove the couch back into Lena's room.
[00:50:27] Speaker C: Tell him hi for me, okay?
[00:50:31] Speaker D: Just be careful, okay?
[00:50:35] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll do my best.
As we're gonna head out near us, just. I'm sorry if I've caused any problems, but I love you. You are like a sister to me.
I've learned that lies, secrets, they don't really help anything. They make more messes.
And that the truth brings healing.
That's why I did what I did. And I'm sorry if it's caused any problems, but I think it's gonna work out for the best. I really do. And I'm always gonna be here to help.
I want to help you. And I'll always be here for you.
[00:51:24] Speaker F: You're just the messenger.
It's fine.
[00:51:30] Speaker C: Okay.
Just be safe.
And maybe try not to do more terrorism today.
[00:51:40] Speaker F: I didn't try yesterday.
[00:51:42] Speaker E: I succeeded.
[00:51:44] Speaker D: Do it or not. There is no try.
[00:51:47] Speaker C: All right, we'll be back here later.
I haven't been down there, so I'm kind of looking forward to this.
[00:51:54] Speaker E: Oh, it's neat.
[00:51:56] Speaker C: Thanks.
I heard there were. As we're like, it's neat.
[00:52:01] Speaker F: Thanks.
[00:52:02] Speaker C: As we're walking, I'm like, I've heard. Like, I've heard there are catacombs down there. That should be interesting. Are they down there, too? The Library?
[00:52:09] Speaker E: I don't know. And then the door shuts.
[00:52:12] Speaker B: We're gonna go ahead and transition to a time later in the day, maybe an hour or so in the future.
Our camera is now just outside the Temple of Pharasma as we see Neros stepping into frame.
[00:52:33] Speaker F: So as Nero steps into frame, camera pans up until. Until you see her face.
She looks angry and.
[00:52:51] Speaker A: Hurt.
[00:52:52] Speaker F: Hurt. Angry. I guess forlorn, Betrayed. Because this is the goddess that she worships.
Loosely. Loosely worships, sort of.
And she looks like she's about to.
She looks like she wants to go inside and trying to work up the courage to walk in.
[00:53:16] Speaker B: As you begin, like taking a half step forward, you feel sort of a prickling, tingling feeling on your forearms right at the boundary between the black and the gray.
[00:53:32] Speaker F: She snaps her eyes down to her arms as she's feeling that prickling feeling.
And she doesn't move her head, but she moves her eyes to glare up at the temple.
So that's your issue.
There is something wrong with me.
Fine.
Have it your way.
She turns around and walks away.
[00:54:05] Speaker B: And that is where we will end this episode.
[00:54:08] Speaker E: That's a lot.
[00:54:09] Speaker F: Mm.
[00:54:10] Speaker B: As is tradition, since you have all leveled up, you will each get a Hero Point Card.
[00:54:16] Speaker E: Teacher, I'm full.
[00:54:18] Speaker B: No Hero cards free.
As is also tradition, when everybody gets a Hero Point Card, I will do the sign off.
Thank you all for coming to my TED Talk today.
It's been a good time and I would like to personally apologize for all of the horrible things that have happened to these characters and will continue to happen to these characters.
I'm gonna go write up more horrible things for these characters to go through.
[00:54:46] Speaker A: Wait.
[00:54:47] Speaker B: But I like it and we'll see you all in the next episode.

[00:55:41] Speaker D: A lot of us seem to have memory issues today.
[00:55:44] Speaker F: I don't.
[00:55:46] Speaker C: She does seem to very plainly recall the terrorism.
[00:55:51] Speaker F: Listen, it's not every day you accidentally commit terrorism.
