Episode Transcript
[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part. Such as like comment rate and don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: Now, where did we leave off?
Ah, yes.
The party emerged from the arena in Joel to discover the Erdsen created gargoyle like constructs, attacking a group of civilians.
As they joined the fray, a sudden lightning bolt struck one of the gargoyles. Coming from none other than than the long lost Uvair.
[00:01:01] Speaker C: This plan was thought out.
Master.
Master. Master.
[00:01:09] Speaker B: I go by the name Game Master.
[00:01:13] Speaker D: Game. Remember Game. Game. Put game in front of them.
[00:01:16] Speaker B: Please, Mr. Master.
[00:01:19] Speaker E: Mr. Please. Mr. Master was my father.
Call me Game.
[00:01:24] Speaker F: A big Game.
[00:01:25] Speaker D: What's up, man?
[00:01:27] Speaker C: Some big game over there.
[00:01:28] Speaker D: I saw your brother Tunjin the other day.
What a loser.
[00:01:34] Speaker C: Did you see his twin dragons?
[00:01:39] Speaker F: Blade's in the dark.
[00:01:43] Speaker C: He's a. He's in jail now.
[00:01:45] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, he probbed the bank.
[00:01:52] Speaker C: He what?
[00:01:52] Speaker D: I was gonna. I was trying to think of something better than the bank.
[00:01:55] Speaker E: But the bank.
[00:01:56] Speaker C: He probed the bank.
Don't probe it.
[00:02:00] Speaker B: I thought that was the handler that did that.
[00:02:04] Speaker F: Poke at it with a stick, see if the bank, you know, responds.
[00:02:06] Speaker E: I forgot what the Game Master is called in Blades in the Dark, which is really sad because I think it's Game Manager.
[00:02:11] Speaker B: Is it moderator?
[00:02:12] Speaker E: I don't know.
[00:02:13] Speaker D: Pretty sure it's just Game Master.
[00:02:14] Speaker F: Is it just Game Master, Law Master?
[00:02:16] Speaker E: They all have a fancy thing to.
[00:02:17] Speaker C: Be called the Keeper.
[00:02:19] Speaker E: Ooh, I like that. But no, that's something else.
[00:02:21] Speaker D: Oh, that's Call of Cthulhu.
[00:02:23] Speaker C: I know.
[00:02:24] Speaker F: I have technology. I can Google it.
[00:02:26] Speaker E: Don't.
[00:02:27] Speaker D: It's Game Master. I just Google it.
[00:02:29] Speaker E: Why'd you Google it? Now the mystery is solved.
[00:02:32] Speaker C: It could have remained a history. A mystery.
A mystery.
[00:02:37] Speaker D: Another history solved.
All right, gang, welcome to History Busters.
[00:02:43] Speaker C: So tired.
[00:02:46] Speaker D: History, Fall of Rome.
[00:02:50] Speaker C: History Busters with atomic broadcasting.
[00:02:54] Speaker B: So wait, if we're the History Busters, does that mean we're going around disproving things that actually happened?
[00:02:59] Speaker F: Do you guys remember the Fall of Rome? Yeah. Well, I've got news for you.
[00:03:03] Speaker E: Weren't you wondering what that machine is in your back? I built a time machine.
[00:03:06] Speaker D: Oh, that's why Napoleon is right over there.
[00:03:09] Speaker F: Why'd you build a time machine? There was already one there. So we could bust history.
[00:03:14] Speaker D: I have one on my wrist.
[00:03:15] Speaker C: Mystery in jail.
[00:03:16] Speaker B: Yeah, that time machine is the same time machine.
[00:03:19] Speaker F: Yeah, it's just from different timelines, you know, it's weird that some time machines, I mean, they both go forward and back, but neither of them go like, this one only goes forward. This one only goes back.
[00:03:29] Speaker D: Why would you do that?
[00:03:30] Speaker B: I already am traveling forward in time.
[00:03:32] Speaker F: It's kind of like backwards compatibility.
[00:03:34] Speaker E: That's a future Rama episode.
[00:03:37] Speaker F: I do think of everything.
[00:03:38] Speaker D: Buy a car that only goes to the destination and not back.
[00:03:41] Speaker F: Well, that's not how time machines work. It's timey wimey.
[00:03:46] Speaker E: You know, time machines also have to travel through space.
[00:03:48] Speaker D: Time machines are also often cars.
[00:03:51] Speaker F: Often. I can only think of one.
[00:03:53] Speaker D: Yeah, the only good one.
It's a lie, actually. The police box is also good.
Sorry. The phone booth. Not the police train.
[00:04:02] Speaker F: The train.
[00:04:03] Speaker D: And that's to say, not Dr. Who.
[00:04:05] Speaker F: Bill and Ted, the other Dr. Brown.
[00:04:07] Speaker D: Because Bill and Ted is also the only other acceptable time travel.
[00:04:10] Speaker C: Wow. Great Scott.
Sam is wanting to start a war online.
[00:04:16] Speaker F: Honestly, I just don't listen to his opinion anymore.
[00:04:18] Speaker E: Sadly, I haven't seen Bill and Ted, so I don't know.
[00:04:21] Speaker F: It's excellent.
It's most excellent.
[00:04:23] Speaker E: That's what I've heard.
[00:04:24] Speaker D: It's pretty amazing. I love it.
[00:04:25] Speaker B: I've heard it's an adventurous film.
[00:04:27] Speaker E: Oh, no way.
[00:04:28] Speaker D: I like the second one a lot too.
[00:04:29] Speaker F: I like the third one. I haven't seen it, but I like it.
[00:04:31] Speaker D: The third one is good.
[00:04:32] Speaker F: Don't they face the music there?
[00:04:34] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:04:35] Speaker E: Is there a fourth one?
[00:04:36] Speaker D: No, the third one just came out.
[00:04:38] Speaker B: That's in the future.
[00:04:39] Speaker F: Speaking of remakes from like 20 years later, do you guys know they're. They're making a new Spaceballs?
[00:04:44] Speaker D: It's not just a sequel because.
[00:04:47] Speaker F: No, no, not remake.
[00:04:48] Speaker D: The first one wanted to make another one.
[00:04:49] Speaker F: Mel Brooks is 98 and he's gonna be in it.
[00:04:52] Speaker D: Yeah. That's the main reason I'm okay with it is because it's like the original group being like, let's just make another one. As opposed. It doesn't seem like it's as much of the studio being like, make another one.
[00:05:01] Speaker F: What's his name that plays the main character? Whatever. He's coming out of retirement, apparently.
[00:05:05] Speaker B: Rick Moranis.
[00:05:06] Speaker F: Rick Moranis. That makes sense.
[00:05:08] Speaker D: You mean he played. He played Darth Helmut. He didn't play the main character.
[00:05:10] Speaker F: He's not the main character. He is a main character.
[00:05:12] Speaker B: As someone who's never seen spaceballs, Rick Moranis played the main character Y.
[00:05:16] Speaker D: Bill Pullman. He played Lonesome.
[00:05:19] Speaker E: If only for the one visual gag where they're watching the movie in the movie.
Very funny, man.
[00:05:26] Speaker F: I Love stupid movies.
[00:05:28] Speaker B: Speaking of stupid stories, are you guys ready to get started?
[00:05:32] Speaker E: I hope you're not talking about this story.
[00:05:34] Speaker B: Overhead, the sky is full of dark storm clouds that have drifted in from the south. The Kodar Mountains looming over the landscape.
The storm clouds are gathering, and a bolt of lightning cracks down out of the sky, envelops this gargoyle that was carrying away one of the civilians, and the whole thing just shudders and comes. Still. The civilian is able to catch himself, not taking too much damage from the fall, but the shattered remains of the gargoyle just splinter and scatter all over the cobbles of the streets. Across the square, you see your old friend Uwe standing on top of one of the rooftops, his cape blowing in the breeze of the storm that's beginning to kick up and blow in. Uwe. That was the last of your turn. Now it moves to one of the gargoyles. It's actually this one on the south side of the square. It was pretty close to Neros. So it's going to move up and attack Neros.
[00:06:26] Speaker C: Why?
[00:06:28] Speaker B: Because.
[00:06:28] Speaker C: What did I ever do to him?
[00:06:31] Speaker B: You had an AC of less than 30.
[00:06:34] Speaker F: He shouldn't know that.
[00:06:36] Speaker C: I'm not. I'm not divulging that information.
[00:06:38] Speaker B: Okay, well, then I'll just roll damage just in case. Wait.
[00:06:43] Speaker E: Do it.
[00:06:43] Speaker D: Repent or refuse?
[00:06:45] Speaker E: Is it in range?
[00:06:47] Speaker B: It is. It is just barely in range.
I refuse.
[00:06:55] Speaker D: Let me just drop.
[00:06:57] Speaker B: I know you just got some new abilities for this.
[00:06:59] Speaker D: You get resistance 2 plus our level 10. So 12. Who's you? You? Abby.
[00:07:04] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:07:05] Speaker D: Abby gets it.
[00:07:06] Speaker C: Nearest doesn't, and I get what?
[00:07:10] Speaker D: Resistance 12 to the next damage.
And the enemy becomes enfeebled, too, and takes persistent spirit damage equal to my charisma modifier.
And that is all. Currently next level. There will be more.
[00:07:27] Speaker E: I think he made the wrong decision.
[00:07:29] Speaker B: What is your charisma modifier?
[00:07:31] Speaker D: Freaking 4.
[00:07:33] Speaker B: Freaking Thor.
[00:07:34] Speaker D: Freaking Thor.
[00:07:37] Speaker C: He's back, guys.
[00:07:39] Speaker B: All right, so then he. He finishes the attack, takes all of these negative effects. He's enfeebled. His spirit is persistently being damaged. You take no damage because the resistance that Val offered was more than the damage. He rolled nice, but he kind of like, claw swipes at you and is trying to, like, catch your clothes with his claws.
[00:07:59] Speaker C: Oh, don't you dare grab me.
[00:08:00] Speaker D: Does damage have to be applied for that trigger?
[00:08:03] Speaker B: No, it's just if he hits, okay, but he fails. He does not grab.
[00:08:08] Speaker D: Good.
[00:08:09] Speaker B: So he claws and, like, they get caught in your clothes at first, but you just Twist out of the way and it just pulls out from under his hand.
And then he is going to.
I learned something new earlier today.
[00:08:25] Speaker D: Why?
[00:08:25] Speaker F: Knowledge.
[00:08:26] Speaker B: He's going to fly 10ft up in the air.
So the thing I learned, which is going to become increasingly important to know as we get further into higher level play, when you fly up, it's difficult terrain.
If you fly down, it's basically not difficult terrain. It's the opposite way. So you have to spend direction 20ft of movement to go 10ft up. And you only have to spend 5ft of movement to go 10ft down.
[00:08:55] Speaker D: I don't like that.
[00:08:57] Speaker B: It makes sense, but it's awkward to remember.
[00:09:00] Speaker D: Yeah, I feel like flying is simple. It should just be simple.
[00:09:04] Speaker B: And he takes four spirit damage as his turn ends and ends the persistent damage.
Oh, and then it is the last gargoyles turn on all the way on the north side of this, the square.
He moves in towards one of the civilians and starts attacking him.
[00:09:23] Speaker D: That's fine.
[00:09:24] Speaker B: He was really far away. So it takes him two full move actions to get up close to the closest of the civilians. He swipes at him and does some serious damage.
But again, the claws just kind of like slip through the clothes. And he does not grab the civilian.
[00:09:41] Speaker D: Little butterfingers there.
[00:09:42] Speaker B: And we are back to the top of the round for alward.
[00:09:46] Speaker E: How close is the gargoyle in the north?
[00:09:48] Speaker B: To me, the north is 5, 10, 15, 20, 25ft away.
[00:09:53] Speaker E: Okay. And I can't see through the tents, Is that right?
[00:09:59] Speaker B: You cannot see anybody on ground level through the tents, but you can see Uber because he's on top of a roof.
[00:10:04] Speaker E: I wait. I use one whole action to wave to over.
[00:10:08] Speaker D: Is waving a free action?
[00:10:10] Speaker E: I think so, yes.
[00:10:11] Speaker D: Depends on how much you're trying to communicate. Yeah, Add to the list.
[00:10:16] Speaker E: So I am going to move 35ft to the north for one action.
[00:10:25] Speaker B: So you're swinging up around towards the north side of the square.
[00:10:28] Speaker E: Yeah.
And then I am going to amp a new cantrip of mine called Dancing Blade.
And when I cast it, my nightstick flies out. That I've never mentioned before, but I've had this whole time.
[00:10:44] Speaker B: I can confirm.
He told me he had this nightstick back before episode one.
[00:10:48] Speaker E: Yeah, it's a measuring stick.
[00:10:49] Speaker A: Also.
[00:10:52] Speaker E: It flies out of its holster and goes up to the gargoyle to make a strike.
[00:10:59] Speaker D: Cool.
[00:11:00] Speaker B: Awesome. All right, make your strike. Check.
[00:11:02] Speaker D: Roll the strike.
[00:11:04] Speaker E: 17 plus 19 is 36, right?
[00:11:06] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:11:07] Speaker E: Okay, 36.
[00:11:08] Speaker B: That's a critical hit.
[00:11:10] Speaker D: Nice.
[00:11:10] Speaker E: All right, so since I amped it. Instead of doing 3D6 damage, it does 3D10.
[00:11:16] Speaker D: Ooh.
And it's a big night stick. It's a night mace.
[00:11:20] Speaker E: It's a night mace.
[00:11:24] Speaker D: Oh, that's a sad.
[00:11:27] Speaker C: Did you roll minimum?
[00:11:29] Speaker B: Basically.
[00:11:31] Speaker A: Oh, Jenkins, why'd you do it?
[00:11:35] Speaker E: Because I'm not allowed to be good.
That's a grand total of 14. That's already doubled.
[00:11:47] Speaker A: Oh, that's.
[00:11:50] Speaker C: Ouch.
[00:11:51] Speaker B: Ouch.
[00:11:52] Speaker E: Don't talk to me.
It's fine. It's fine.
[00:11:55] Speaker C: I can't talk to you.
[00:11:56] Speaker E: No, you can.
[00:11:57] Speaker C: Oh, okay.
[00:11:58] Speaker E: Sam can't.
[00:11:59] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Okay. That's fair.
[00:12:01] Speaker E: That's my turn.
[00:12:04] Speaker C: Sam, you have to talk to me to relay a message to Jenkins. That's how this is gonna work.
[00:12:09] Speaker D: Abby, would you tell Jenkins that I think he did a great job?
[00:12:12] Speaker C: Sam thinks you did a great job.
[00:12:14] Speaker E: Tell him thank you.
[00:12:15] Speaker C: Jenkins said thank you.
[00:12:16] Speaker D: He can. I thought he could. I thought he could still talk to me.
[00:12:19] Speaker B: He's here.
You are on top of one of the gables of a house on the west side of the market square, overlooking things. You have clear visibility of everything that's going on, except for one civilian, because he's right next to a tent, and.
[00:12:36] Speaker F: I don't even care about him.
I.
[00:12:38] Speaker D: Nobody does.
[00:12:40] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[00:12:41] Speaker F: I want to spell strike the gargoyle on the north.
Does he have any debuffs? I wasn't really paying attention. I was literally pulling out, like, 12 dice.
[00:12:50] Speaker B: Yeah, so when Jenkins critted him, all these, like, the nightstick came, like, whistling through the air and just, like, developed all these cracks along him. So he is now broken and has a lower AC and does not resist incoming damage anymore. All right.
[00:13:07] Speaker F: Yeah, so I'm gonna spell strike him with a frostbite.
[00:13:13] Speaker D: That's cold, man.
[00:13:15] Speaker F: Yeah, it is cold.
But you know what's really funny is if this hits, he's also gonna be hit with some fire.
[00:13:22] Speaker D: I believe in you, petite.
[00:13:24] Speaker F: You know, this card is meant for a ranged attack anyway, so I'm just gonna spend that so I can roll this again.
I rolled a three, if you guys wanted to know.
[00:13:33] Speaker D: I did.
[00:13:34] Speaker F: Oh, much better.
37.
[00:13:39] Speaker B: That's a crit.
[00:13:40] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:13:41] Speaker D: Spell strike.
[00:13:44] Speaker B: So I'll make a fortitude save. Okay, what is your DC?
[00:13:47] Speaker F: 102. 28.
[00:13:49] Speaker B: That's a critical fail.
[00:13:50] Speaker F: Boy, it's about to get cold and a little hot.
[00:13:55] Speaker B: Oh, it has a fun new feature, too.
If they crit fail, they get weakness one to bludgeoning until your next turn.
[00:14:02] Speaker D: I have a feeling that it's not gonna have another turn.
[00:14:05] Speaker B: What?
Yeah, just a crit for a magus. Anybody can survive that.
[00:14:11] Speaker E: I don't think I could survive that.
[00:14:13] Speaker F: Y' all made me forget numbers. Hold up.
So 17 from frostbite. That was more than for the arrow.
[00:14:23] Speaker E: Oh.
[00:14:24] Speaker B: One fire overkill.
[00:14:29] Speaker E: Oh, does that mean he gets more ap.
[00:14:31] Speaker D: He gets a free. He gets his actions refunded. Right?
[00:14:34] Speaker F: Oh, sweet, dude.
[00:14:36] Speaker B: So Alward runs up, his nightstick goes, just whistling over and just slams into the gargoyle. And all these cracks develop, and the gargoyle turns to look, just as this arrow just whistles right through the face and just shatters that gemstone on its forehead, and it just collapses.
[00:14:51] Speaker F: I like to imagine that the arrow itself was, like, bursting with cold energy. And then just at the very end, right before he died, it just went.
[00:14:59] Speaker D: The flame, the cold.
[00:15:01] Speaker F: Kind of have to one little health.
[00:15:02] Speaker C: Wait, I zoned out. Did he die?
[00:15:04] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Oh, okay.
[00:15:05] Speaker D: He's very dead.
[00:15:06] Speaker C: Abby, I was thinking about other things.
[00:15:08] Speaker D: Like living gargoyles.
[00:15:10] Speaker C: No.
[00:15:10] Speaker B: And Zafir, you have one action left.
[00:15:12] Speaker F: I'm going to recharge that spell. Strike.
[00:15:14] Speaker B: I like it.
All right, it's now the gargoyle that is harassing the guy that Zafir cannot see. His turn.
[00:15:21] Speaker D: So on the opposite side of the square. See that guy? I don't think nobody can see him. No.
[00:15:25] Speaker B: Oh, okay. U. I'll tell you what's happening, then.
[00:15:29] Speaker C: None of us can hear.
[00:15:30] Speaker F: Everybody plug your ears.
[00:15:32] Speaker B: The gargoyle swings at the guy.
He hits.
He scores.
[00:15:39] Speaker D: Go.
[00:15:40] Speaker B: Oh, that guy is not looking good. He's bloodied.
[00:15:42] Speaker F: Okay, if only one guy out of the three. I think we did a pretty good job.
[00:15:47] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. That's the third two I've rolled for gargoyles trying to grab people tonight.
[00:15:52] Speaker D: It's just not gonna happen. Just stop.
[00:15:54] Speaker B: No. He's gonna try again. He is undeterred.
Oh. Oh, oh.
He should have been deterred.
Too much map on that one. He failed again.
[00:16:07] Speaker D: I told you.
[00:16:08] Speaker C: Too much map.
[00:16:09] Speaker B: Too much map. Multiple attack penalties.
[00:16:11] Speaker C: Ah.
[00:16:12] Speaker B: Val, you're up.
[00:16:14] Speaker D: You're right.
I am awake.
[00:16:17] Speaker C: Are you okay over there?
[00:16:20] Speaker B: So, just to give a little bit of a recap of where we're at, there were four civilians who were being harassed by five gargoyles. As of right now, three of the gargoyles are dead. One of them is floating in the air and got spiritually attacked by Val. The other one is on the opposite side of the market square and is just beating this guy up, trying to pick him up.
[00:16:42] Speaker D: So I am going to move right past the thing attacking Neros and to the gargoyle that most of us can't see that just went.
I'm gonna try to help out that civilian, maybe kill that gargoyle.
[00:16:54] Speaker C: Could you see that gargoyle?
[00:16:56] Speaker D: I could. Not before.
[00:16:58] Speaker C: So how did you know he was attacking that guy?
[00:17:00] Speaker D: Because we've talked about it so much.
[00:17:02] Speaker A: That's not how this works.
[00:17:04] Speaker B: He's just hearing the civilian going, ow, stop hitting me, gargoyle.
[00:17:09] Speaker C: Are you metagaming Sam?
[00:17:11] Speaker D: I don't think think so. I feel.
[00:17:14] Speaker F: Guys, I think he's doing.
[00:17:15] Speaker D: I'm not going to justify running around a tent to see if there's a gargoyle.
[00:17:18] Speaker A: You're going to run past the O.
[00:17:19] Speaker E: You're going to run past the other.
[00:17:21] Speaker C: Gargoyle to do it. You can't see.
[00:17:25] Speaker D: I'll deal with you later.
[00:17:26] Speaker C: He's metagaming.
[00:17:28] Speaker B: I've got. I've got Sam's back on this one. The tent is. Fabric is thick enough that you can't see stuff happening.
[00:17:36] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:17:37] Speaker F: See a shadow of something, somebody being destroyed.
[00:17:39] Speaker D: Also, this thing keeps flying, so, like, surely its wings are coming up and over.
[00:17:43] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:17:47] Speaker D: Not you. Listen, back off. All right.
[00:17:51] Speaker B: So, Val, you're within range.
You're within, like, the positive range to help the civilian, but you're also moved up 10ft away from the gargoyle.
[00:18:00] Speaker D: Yes, I'm gonna just strike. Cause I feel like, no, none of my other things are going to be helpful right now. I'm just going to strike with my glaive. And I had signaled for Sigrun, but Sigrun has not come up yet.
[00:18:13] Speaker B: Yes, she's on her way.
[00:18:15] Speaker D: 26 to hit.
[00:18:17] Speaker B: That is a regular hit.
[00:18:18] Speaker D: A regular hit.
[00:18:20] Speaker B: Okay, I'll accept it.
[00:18:25] Speaker D: Oh, 20 points of damage.
[00:18:30] Speaker C: I hear wheezing noises from the GM.
[00:18:35] Speaker B: Nice. So.
[00:18:39] Speaker D: Thanks.
[00:18:40] Speaker B: Yeah, you swing down with your glaive, and it turns just at the right moment. You were, like, lined up for the perfect shot, but it just kind of clatters off its shoulder. And you take off a huge chunk of the stone, but you're not seeing those signature cracks developing on it yet. So, you know, it's still got a little bit of life left in it.
[00:18:59] Speaker D: I did it again with a 20 to hit.
[00:19:03] Speaker B: That's a hit.
[00:19:04] Speaker D: What?
[00:19:05] Speaker B: That is a regular hit.
[00:19:07] Speaker D: Who would have thought?
[00:19:08] Speaker C: What's the last level we fought these things at, like, 5, 4, 5, 5, 3, 2, 1.
[00:19:17] Speaker B: We fought them in the cave.
[00:19:18] Speaker F: I fought one in my prologue.
[00:19:20] Speaker D: Guys, 18 damage this time.
[00:19:24] Speaker B: And with that second swipe, you would just drive it into the same spot. And now cracks are just developing all over the thing. It is now considered broken.
[00:19:33] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:19:33] Speaker B: But it is not down.
[00:19:34] Speaker D: Oh, man.
[00:19:35] Speaker B: He's just sitting there crying.
My wife left me.
[00:19:40] Speaker E: She said I was too cold.
[00:19:41] Speaker D: So much Laura. I did just hit him with cold damage.
[00:19:44] Speaker F: He's also a rock.
[00:19:47] Speaker D: What?
[00:19:47] Speaker C: Neros, that's me also. I just have to say the square part of the square looks like a foot kinda.
[00:19:56] Speaker E: I see it.
[00:19:57] Speaker B: Oh, like from above?
[00:19:59] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:19:59] Speaker B: I was looking at, like, looking for Italy and I was like, I don't see it at all.
[00:20:03] Speaker E: No, no, it's the center little bit. It's like a.
[00:20:05] Speaker C: Where the tents are that stone surrounding it. It's like. It's a foot.
[00:20:08] Speaker E: Yeah, it's just missing its toes.
[00:20:10] Speaker C: Foot shaped.
That's what I was thinking about earlier.
[00:20:13] Speaker D: Oh.
[00:20:14] Speaker B: All right, Neros, you are next to one of the surviving gargoyles. It's floating 10ft in the air, but just next to you.
[00:20:21] Speaker C: Has this thing been hit yet?
[00:20:22] Speaker B: It took some spirit damage from Val, but that's it.
[00:20:25] Speaker C: I want to hit it with some noise blast.
[00:20:29] Speaker B: That's a fortitude save.
[00:20:30] Speaker C: Yes, sir.
[00:20:32] Speaker D: Has it taken damage? Spiritually, yes.
[00:20:36] Speaker E: Physically, no.
[00:20:37] Speaker D: It's fine.
[00:20:38] Speaker B: What's your DC29? That is a regular fail.
[00:20:43] Speaker C: Good.
[00:20:43] Speaker F: It's gonna crack under pressure.
[00:20:46] Speaker C: That's 18 sonic damage.
[00:20:50] Speaker B: What spell rank was your noise blast?
[00:20:53] Speaker C: That was a two.
[00:20:55] Speaker B: Did you add your sorceress potency to the damage?
[00:20:58] Speaker C: Probably not, because it didn't tell me.
[00:21:00] Speaker B: Okay, then I'll take an extra two damage.
[00:21:02] Speaker C: Okay. And that thing's deafened for a round.
[00:21:06] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:21:06] Speaker D: What? As we all know, deafen for a round.
[00:21:10] Speaker C: It's deafened just like you're about to be.
[00:21:16] Speaker E: Shots fired.
[00:21:17] Speaker C: Just scream into the mic.
[00:21:18] Speaker D: Poor Jordy. It's poor ear.
[00:21:20] Speaker F: I have my own volume leveler. Where is it?
[00:21:23] Speaker C: And then for my last action, I'm gonna shoot a magic missile at it.
[00:21:28] Speaker F: Ooh, those are always fun.
[00:21:31] Speaker D: Actually, magic missile is now called force barrage.
[00:21:36] Speaker C: Well, I'm sorry, in path builder, it's still magic missile, so you.
Whatever.
I'm gonna cast a magic missile at it.
[00:21:45] Speaker B: As you're casting the magic missile, I'll let you know that he is broken. As the noise is just vibrating and causing cracks to develop all over the place.
[00:21:53] Speaker C: He takes two more damage.
[00:21:55] Speaker B: Oof.
[00:21:56] Speaker D: You rolled a one and then.
[00:21:57] Speaker E: Correct.
[00:21:57] Speaker C: I rolled a one.
[00:21:58] Speaker B: Oh, two. And that was. You were casting it at first level.
[00:22:02] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh, yes.
[00:22:04] Speaker B: So that's plus one more damage from Sorceress.
[00:22:06] Speaker C: It doesn't tell me to add that. Okay, so I just don't.
[00:22:10] Speaker D: You're supposed to remember.
[00:22:11] Speaker C: I don't have a memory.
[00:22:14] Speaker D: That's fair. Her ram's all used up.
[00:22:16] Speaker A: What'd you just say?
[00:22:17] Speaker B: Speaking of having no memory. Uwver, it's your turn.
[00:22:23] Speaker C: Kill it.
[00:22:25] Speaker A: Kill it. I don't know if I can do that.
[00:22:26] Speaker F: I'm sure you can.
[00:22:27] Speaker C: Call the lightning.
[00:22:29] Speaker A: But I'm not going to again because I want to do something else.
So, with storm roiling above in the air, suddenly everyone hears Uwe chanting for a moment. And with a flash of lightning, you hear his staff smash onto the top of the of the roof with a loud bang as he casts gravitational pull on the civilian next to the gargoyle.
Oh, he can choose to make a fortitude save and or fail.
[00:23:02] Speaker B: I think he doesn't know what's going on, so he's going to make a save.
Critical fail.
He gets crushed.
[00:23:15] Speaker A: He is pulled 10ft closer to me.
[00:23:18] Speaker B: And the civilians just like. Help. We're surrounded.
[00:23:21] Speaker A: He's also knocked prone, but no, he's.
[00:23:25] Speaker D: Still adjacent to the monster. And now he's prone, and now I can't protect him. He's far away.
[00:23:31] Speaker A: What?
Oh, shoot.
Ignore all that.
Put it back.
What?
[00:23:39] Speaker F: He didn't take his hand off the chest piece.
[00:23:41] Speaker C: This is absurd.
[00:23:43] Speaker B: Gravitational push.
[00:23:45] Speaker A: Retcon. Because I just realized I have to do something else recreational.
[00:23:49] Speaker F: Just dragging him back and forth.
[00:23:52] Speaker A: I'm going to change the narration. It's going to. It's going to be the same thing.
[00:23:56] Speaker D: Different.
[00:23:58] Speaker B: What is going on?
I missed you there.
[00:24:01] Speaker C: Make up your mind.
[00:24:09] Speaker B: You think he hadn't been playing this character for like a year?
[00:24:12] Speaker C: You can do it, Sven.
[00:24:14] Speaker E: We believe in you.
[00:24:15] Speaker C: You can play Uvar again.
Ooh.
Breathe.
[00:24:21] Speaker A: With the roiling clouds in the air, you suddenly hear UHT chanting. And with a loud slam of his staff onto the top of the house, you see shimmering armor appear around the civilian next to the gargoyle as he uses reach and chromatic armor onto the civilian.
[00:24:47] Speaker C: What is chromatic armor?
[00:24:49] Speaker A: I wrap the target in armor made of sheets of colored light.
[00:24:53] Speaker E: I hate having to be this guy. You did reach, which is great, but reach only gives you a 30 foot on a touchscreen.
[00:24:58] Speaker A: Oh, is he not 30ft away?
[00:24:59] Speaker E: Is he 30ft away?
[00:25:00] Speaker A: I can't check that.
[00:25:01] Speaker E: I'm hoping he is, because that's really cool.
[00:25:02] Speaker B: He is not. Uber is 20ft up in the air already.
[00:25:06] Speaker A: Son of a gun. Retcon.
[00:25:10] Speaker B: Round Three.
[00:25:10] Speaker C: We got a retcon.
All of this dialogue for another retcon.
[00:25:16] Speaker F: No, I heard you're like right. With one square retcon.
[00:25:18] Speaker A: I don't think this is one year.
[00:25:21] Speaker B: I have played this for one year.
[00:25:24] Speaker E: I use an ability to retcon. This isn't fair.
[00:25:29] Speaker C: I'm putting my hoodie on. Well, you're retcon.
[00:25:31] Speaker E: Do you want your blanket? I don't need it anymore.
[00:25:33] Speaker A: With the roiling clouds of the storm up in the air, Dakota mature.
[00:25:39] Speaker C: What did he do?
[00:25:40] Speaker E: He started laughing.
[00:25:43] Speaker F: We can use the last take.
[00:25:44] Speaker B: You hear Uwe begin chanting.
[00:25:51] Speaker A: With the roiling clouds of the storm up ahead. You suddenly hear Uver chant as he grasps something underneath his cloak.
And with a loud crash as a staff slams against the top of the house, a bolt of lightning falls from the sky onto this gargoyle.
[00:26:11] Speaker B: And that's sudden bolt again.
[00:26:12] Speaker A: Yes, it is. Please make a basic reflex. DC29, a regular fail.
[00:26:20] Speaker E: Perfect.
[00:26:20] Speaker A: He takes full damage of 4D12 electricity damage.
[00:26:26] Speaker E: Please roll better than I did.
[00:26:27] Speaker C: Don't mess up.
[00:26:30] Speaker E: Did he mess up?
[00:26:31] Speaker C: I don't know. I can't see.
[00:26:33] Speaker A: 21 points of damage.
[00:26:35] Speaker E: He did not mess up.
[00:26:36] Speaker B: Oh yeah. That lightning falls out of the sky and just obliterates what's left of that gargoyle.
[00:26:42] Speaker D: He did. You did it.
[00:26:44] Speaker B: He did.
[00:26:44] Speaker C: Good job, Sven.
[00:26:46] Speaker D: Third time's the charm.
[00:26:48] Speaker A: We don't have to mention that it.
[00:26:51] Speaker D: Only took 2020 minutes.
[00:26:54] Speaker B: There is one last gargoyle remaining. The one that's 10ft up and near Neros. It's just under half health.
[00:27:00] Speaker C: Near, near, near, near.
[00:27:02] Speaker B: And Uwe, you have one action left.
[00:27:05] Speaker A: There's nothing for me to really do right now.
[00:27:07] Speaker E: So get off the roof.
[00:27:10] Speaker A: Not yet.
I look cool up there.
[00:27:14] Speaker D: That is true.
[00:27:14] Speaker C: It's all about appearances, people.
[00:27:16] Speaker D: I agree.
[00:27:17] Speaker F: Standing on roofs is awesome.
[00:27:19] Speaker D: Mm.
[00:27:19] Speaker F: Except the person probably under you is like, oh, great, I'm gonna have to redo the roof again.
[00:27:24] Speaker B: All right. What were you doing with your last action?
[00:27:25] Speaker A: Uber skipping.
[00:27:27] Speaker E: You should do a sick backflip off the roof.
[00:27:31] Speaker A: He's old.
[00:27:31] Speaker D: Ish.
[00:27:32] Speaker C: But he's so ripped and young looking.
[00:27:36] Speaker B: Alright. The remaining gargoyle shakes himself out of his. No, he's still deaf. He's deaf until Nero's turn. He's still deaf, but he is no longer enfeebled. He's gonna swoop down and try to punch at Neros again.
[00:27:49] Speaker C: Why would you do that?
[00:27:51] Speaker B: That's what he's asking himself.
With a 19 to hit.
[00:27:55] Speaker C: Nope.
[00:27:58] Speaker B: Well, now that he's in range. He's gonna give one last attempt to escape.
And he's going to.
Instead of flying up into the air, he's gonna start making his way around this corner.
[00:28:11] Speaker C: Is he crawling?
[00:28:12] Speaker B: He's just running.
[00:28:13] Speaker D: Oh, he didn't even try and grab. He just ran.
[00:28:16] Speaker C: He just ran.
[00:28:16] Speaker B: Punched once, missed, and now he's just running away on a stubby little garbage.
[00:28:19] Speaker C: He got him. He got embarrassed.
[00:28:21] Speaker B: He is. He's got a big blush. It's like reddish stone on his cheeks.
[00:28:25] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:28:26] Speaker B: Go, Albert, it's your turn.
[00:28:28] Speaker E: At the start of my turn, I'm gonna unleash my psyche, which causes what looks to be like hourglasses and mathematical numbers to start flowing around me from the rain.
And then for one action, I'm going to sustain my weapon. And when I sustain, I get to choose change attack, guard, or push. I'm going to change to my target to Neros.
I'm then going to sustain it again to change my target to the gargoyle. I'm going to sustain it for a third time to attack the gargoyle.
[00:29:02] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:29:03] Speaker C: Huh?
[00:29:04] Speaker D: What?
[00:29:05] Speaker B: So the. The night stick just like whirs over to Nero's, kind of orbits it once and slingshots over to the gargoyle?
[00:29:10] Speaker E: Yep.
[00:29:11] Speaker B: Make a spell attack roll.
[00:29:12] Speaker D: It doesn't hit Neros.
[00:29:14] Speaker E: No, I could. The reason why I can choose Neros is because I can guard her and she would get a plus two AC.
[00:29:19] Speaker D: That's cool. I like it.
[00:29:21] Speaker E: 28.
[00:29:23] Speaker B: That's a crit.
[00:29:24] Speaker E: Yay.
Okay, let's try this again.
[00:29:29] Speaker F: Taking a B.
[00:29:31] Speaker E: Can I wreck?
[00:29:34] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:29:35] Speaker E: Since my psyche is unleashed, it's automatically going to get 10 base damage and then it's 17. So 27.
Two for the crit is 54.
Oh, okay, then that's a dead with a night stick. So it's non. Lethal.
[00:29:51] Speaker C: I think that's a dead foil.
[00:29:52] Speaker F: That's non lethal, so I'm probably not.
[00:29:55] Speaker D: How high up is it?
[00:29:56] Speaker B: I don't. He's on the ground.
I don't know if this is tonally what you're wanting, but the first thing that popped into my head when you said non lethal is this nightstick shoots past near us towards this gargoyle that's running away. It just hovers up in front of him and he like, stops and then it just goes bonk on the crystal and it just collapses.
[00:30:13] Speaker E: I love that.
[00:30:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
And that takes us out of initiative as all of the hostile combatants have been defeated. It.
[00:30:21] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:30:22] Speaker D: Woohoo.
[00:30:23] Speaker C: Wow, wow, wow.
[00:30:25] Speaker F: I only got one Turn.
[00:30:27] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:30:28] Speaker E: I'm sorry. Did you want me not to kill that gargoyle?
[00:30:30] Speaker D: Okay, I'm gonna lay my hands on this civilian near me, ask for consent, and he's healed. I have healed you.
[00:30:39] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:30:40] Speaker F: My client didn't want to be saved.
[00:30:44] Speaker D: You ruined my death.
[00:30:46] Speaker C: Consent is a thing.
[00:30:47] Speaker F: The whole plot of the Incredibles.
[00:30:51] Speaker B: Who are you?
The city's under attack. Are you with them?
[00:30:55] Speaker D: No, we just killed the gargoyles.
[00:30:57] Speaker B: Okay, I'm just. I'm a little. Just a. Just a little.
[00:31:01] Speaker D: My name's Val. I'm a servant of Farasm.
[00:31:04] Speaker B: Oh, pleased to meet you, Val. My name's Rom. Ram with two A's.
[00:31:10] Speaker A: Mr. Space Knight.
[00:31:12] Speaker E: Wouldn't that be Ram?
[00:31:14] Speaker D: Rom.
Rom with two A's?
[00:31:16] Speaker B: Stop laughing at me, dwarf.
[00:31:19] Speaker D: Don't look up there. Look at me.
[00:31:22] Speaker A: Are you DDR4 or DDR5?
[00:31:24] Speaker D: Did this just happen? Is this been happening? What's going on? We just got back.
[00:31:29] Speaker B: Well, we were just minding our own business, and then just as the day was beginning to dawn, just armed combatants came flowing out of the Aerates in estate and just pushing their way through the city. They're making their way to the Joelburg right now. Who knows what they're doing?
[00:31:43] Speaker D: That makes sense. And Eritreans are horribly evil.
Was this like minutes ago? When was dawn?
[00:31:49] Speaker B: Like 15 minutes ago.
[00:31:50] Speaker D: Oh, that's okay. So it hasn't been that long since we had a weird time coming here.
Everyone else okay?
[00:31:59] Speaker B: Most. Most people seem to be that.
[00:32:01] Speaker D: I wasn't asking you. Sorry.
[00:32:04] Speaker B: The other civilians are like, dusting themselves off. Most of them look like they haven't even really been hurt. There's a guy up here that got scraped.
[00:32:11] Speaker D: Oh.
All right.
[00:32:12] Speaker C: Neros is gonna round the corner of the foot.
[00:32:17] Speaker D: The heel, if you will.
[00:32:18] Speaker C: The heel of the foot, and stare up at the old dwarf.
Where did you come from?
[00:32:25] Speaker A: I knew trouble was coming to the city.
[00:32:28] Speaker C: What?
[00:32:31] Speaker A: That comment near us.
[00:32:33] Speaker C: You want to get down here?
[00:32:34] Speaker D: I'll walk up to the edge of the building and raise my hands up.
[00:32:37] Speaker A: I'll go to the gable that I can supposedly jump down off of without damage and hop down.
[00:32:45] Speaker D: What is a gable? You guys keep saying gable.
[00:32:47] Speaker F: Yeah, I don't know.
[00:32:48] Speaker B: So it's that peaked bit on a roof. Oh, I didn't know that had a name like this. And there's the top. That's the Gable.
[00:32:54] Speaker E: Did not know that had it.
[00:32:55] Speaker F: Everything has a name.
[00:32:56] Speaker D: Stupid name.
[00:32:57] Speaker F: It hasn't always been named yet.
[00:32:58] Speaker E: That's fair.
[00:32:59] Speaker B: This one's named Clark.
[00:33:02] Speaker D: Gable.
[00:33:03] Speaker C: Clark Gable.
[00:33:05] Speaker A: I walked to the gable end.
[00:33:07] Speaker B: So Uber, you use the balcony that's halfway up to drop off the roof and then drop to the ground with no damage.
[00:33:13] Speaker D: Thank you and I offered to help you down.
[00:33:16] Speaker A: He quickly walks to the party with the click click of his staff that seems to actually click a little bit louder than you would imagine.
I heard that there was going to be trouble in and I came to help.
[00:33:34] Speaker D: Okay, well, do you know what's happening?
[00:33:37] Speaker A: I will try to explain later, but right now we don't have enough time.
We need to get to the Council.
[00:33:44] Speaker B: And that's where we'll end this episode.
[00:33:46] Speaker E: Boom.
[00:33:48] Speaker D: I love the amount of time to get the. To get this. The last sentence of the episode.
[00:33:53] Speaker F: Who's the Council?
[00:33:55] Speaker C: The Council.
[00:33:56] Speaker F: Do we know that?
[00:33:57] Speaker E: I'm assuming it has to do with the ragtag under fighters that commit terrorism in my name.
[00:34:02] Speaker F: The Resistance.
[00:34:03] Speaker B: Yeah. Speaking of terrorism in the name of.
[00:34:05] Speaker C: Alward hero points, Gwibs might be there.
[00:34:08] Speaker F: Gwibs, I nominate. Gwibs.
[00:34:09] Speaker E: I do nominate.
[00:34:10] Speaker B: I will take.
[00:34:11] Speaker D: No, he doesn't deserve it.
[00:34:12] Speaker B: What?
[00:34:13] Speaker E: You don't know what he did. This episode.
[00:34:16] Speaker D: He tried to bring Nero's into terrorism.
[00:34:18] Speaker C: You don't know what he didn't try.
[00:34:21] Speaker E: He successfully brought Neros into terrorism.
[00:34:23] Speaker C: I accidentally committed terrorism.
[00:34:26] Speaker F: I think we all killed at least one, right?
[00:34:29] Speaker D: No, no, actually I finished one off.
[00:34:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:34:32] Speaker D: Oh, so I have not eaten one.
[00:34:34] Speaker E: Sam. Medain.
[00:34:35] Speaker F: Sam.
I did a metagame.
[00:34:38] Speaker B: All right.
The hero point for this episode goes to Sven. Because he does not have any hero points.

If you want to slip in there and tell us what you think has been going on with Uwehr, where he's been, what you hope he's done while he's been away, and what you're most excited to see about what he's gained in the few levels while he's been gone.
With that hope you all have a great day and we will see you in the next episode.
