[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. [00:00:08] Speaker B: So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. [00:00:13] Speaker A: And remember, do your part, such as, like, comment rate. [00:00:17] Speaker B: And don't forget to tell a friend. [00:00:19] Speaker A: To tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:31] Speaker C: Now, where did we leave off? [00:00:35] Speaker A: Ay. [00:00:38] Speaker C: After a sleepless night, Zafir decided to reveal the existence of the creature following him, which Val recognized as a soul devouring boogeyman. As they discussed, Uwe questioned the origin of Zafir's magic, prompting Albert to ask him what happened to his family. [00:01:02] Speaker D: I have a fun fact for you all. Would you all like to know a fun fact? [00:01:05] Speaker A: Fun fact with petite. [00:01:06] Speaker D: Okay, so how many of you are familiar with Garth Brooks? [00:01:10] Speaker A: Yes, I heard the name. [00:01:11] Speaker B: I've heard the name, but I don't recall it. [00:01:13] Speaker D: He is a country singer. Did you know? [00:01:16] Speaker A: Oh, yes, that guy. [00:01:17] Speaker D: Did you know that in 1999, he wanted cheerleaders switch up his music genre, so he became a rock singer with an alter ego? I forgot his name. [00:01:28] Speaker E: That doesn't. [00:01:28] Speaker B: That. I'm sorry. [00:01:29] Speaker E: That does not compute. [00:01:30] Speaker D: Chris Haynes. Sorry. Chris Gaines. [00:01:33] Speaker F: That sounds familiar. What songs did Chris Gaines sing? [00:01:37] Speaker D: I don't know. All I remember is seeing that fact. [00:01:42] Speaker A: Well, now we must know. [00:01:43] Speaker C: That's a rock fact. [00:01:47] Speaker B: Happy Halloween. [00:01:48] Speaker E: Wow. [00:01:49] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:01:50] Speaker D: 1998. Close enough. [00:01:51] Speaker B: Thanks, George Washington. [00:01:54] Speaker E: That is rock fact. [00:01:56] Speaker D: Track listing. [00:01:57] Speaker B: Let's see. [00:01:58] Speaker D: That's the way I remember it. Lost in you, snow in July, drifting away. Way of the girl. Unsigned letter. [00:02:05] Speaker F: Man, these songs must suck. [00:02:07] Speaker B: They sound like country. [00:02:08] Speaker F: So they do sound like country. Well, okay, so country. [00:02:12] Speaker B: No. Veto. [00:02:15] Speaker C: Veto. [00:02:16] Speaker A: On the country. No. Veto on the country. No, that sounds like a country song. [00:02:23] Speaker E: And that's a country no. [00:02:26] Speaker A: Veto. [00:02:27] Speaker F: I don't want to know what a country no is. [00:02:29] Speaker E: Nah, I can tell you. [00:02:31] Speaker B: Please, please. No, thank you. Bless your heart. [00:02:35] Speaker A: No, I could do it. [00:02:36] Speaker D: I could do a canadian. No, no. Anyway, sorry, sorry. No, sorry. [00:02:45] Speaker A: No, sorry. I can't. [00:02:46] Speaker D: I can't. [00:02:46] Speaker F: I hope we don't have any listeners in Canada. [00:02:49] Speaker D: Oh, they know. [00:02:50] Speaker B: They all know. They all know. [00:02:52] Speaker F: They have. [00:02:53] Speaker A: Don't forgive us. They're so polite. [00:02:54] Speaker D: Oh, no, that was Irish. [00:02:56] Speaker B: That was irish. I can't do a canadian accent. I'm sorry, everybody. Canadian iron. The people that I work with, I get. [00:03:03] Speaker D: I get calls from. I get calls from southern Missouri all the way to bits of regions of Canada. So you can really tell what part of the country they are like. It's only the small strip of Central America. [00:03:16] Speaker A: Central, not Central America. [00:03:19] Speaker E: Central United States. [00:03:20] Speaker D: Central United States. [00:03:21] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:03:21] Speaker D: We're all America. [00:03:22] Speaker A: You know, the Midwest. [00:03:24] Speaker D: Yeah, the Midwest, which is really the more the Middle west. I'm sorry, the Middle. That's middle. It's weast. [00:03:30] Speaker A: Okay. [00:03:30] Speaker B: It's Middle east. Anyway, you can really tell what little. [00:03:33] Speaker D: Sliver they're from when as you go up, because they all just sound more and more canadian. [00:03:39] Speaker A: It's true. Because you have the Ozarkian down, like from Arkansas to pretty much bottom of Iowa, you have ozarkian kind of deal. Oh, yeah. [00:03:51] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, it is. [00:03:53] Speaker B: Heck, yeah. [00:03:54] Speaker D: I would love to know ozarks. [00:03:56] Speaker A: I know where the Ozarks ends. But, like that accent. The ozark accent? Yeah, it does. [00:04:01] Speaker D: The listeners out there, I would love to know what they think each of our dialects sound like. So what do I sound like? What does Geordie sound like? What does fenn sound like? [00:04:12] Speaker F: Fen. [00:04:13] Speaker A: Fen fen sound. [00:04:18] Speaker B: The s isn't even worth it. [00:04:21] Speaker A: Shut up, van, or am. [00:04:24] Speaker B: What are you doing? [00:04:27] Speaker E: You knocked over my chapstick. [00:04:30] Speaker C: Speaking of being able to tell where someone came from. Want to go ahead and start a soft petite? [00:04:40] Speaker D: So you asked where my magic came from. My mother taught me magic when I was younger, and my father taught me how to use weapons. In fact, this bow that I carry was his. I decided to combine these aspects, and using archery was not always the plan. I was going to use the bow as a kind of a catalyst or. That's not the right word. Maybe it is. It was going to be how I cast my spells. It wasn't a long time after they started teaching me. I'm so sorry for all this, but you're going to get a lot of information from me. [00:05:39] Speaker A: No, no. Please continue. [00:05:41] Speaker F: That's why I asked. [00:05:43] Speaker B: We did share a lot last night. So. [00:05:46] Speaker D: So, as many of you probably guessed, I did in fact have a family. Mother, father, two older sisters, and one younger brother. It was a normal day. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I wouldn't have imagined anything like this were to happen. But I went out to practice my magic and do some training on my own. Attempting to hone my skills, make something unique that I could use. I hope that at this point, I actually have been able to accomplish that. After training for so long, I did end up falling asleep. It couldn't have been more than a few hours, but it was a hefty nap. It was a good napkin. But when I woke up, it was starting to get dark. I started going home, thinking, everyone's going to be upset with me. I'm late. They should know where I am. But when I got there, I didn't see anyone, usually my mother would be gardening, my father would be doing some work around the house, and my siblings playing inside. But none of them were there, except the door was open. I went in, and that's where I found my sisters. I first went to them, obviously, because I didn't want my parents to be mad at me. They were in their bed. Didn't make a lot of sense to me since it was somewhat earlier. As I got closer, I noticed that they were soaked in blood. They were motionless. I can admit that at the time, I was scared. My fear got a hold of me and I ran to my brother's room, which was coincidentally my parents room, as he was quite young and still slept in their bed. And that's where I found my brother and my mother also. [00:08:13] Speaker A: Puddle of blood. [00:08:18] Speaker D: I couldn't believe it and kind of brushed it off, thinking, oh, it's just a dream. I went out to find my father's study, which I walked in and just saw him sitting there in his chair. And I thought, father, sister, mother and brother, they're not moving. Neither was he. When I walked up to him, I found him with this dagger. I pull out the dagger that I also use, thrust inside his back. I did not hesitate to leave. I gathered what I could and I've been gone since. So if you want the short story, my family's gone. [00:09:25] Speaker F: I'm so sorry. I didn't. I couldn't even. I don't do this. Do you want to hug? [00:09:39] Speaker D: Yes. [00:09:40] Speaker F: Howard's going to awkwardly hug Sophia. [00:09:45] Speaker A: Your line of work, have you been trying to find what happened or who did that to your family? [00:09:56] Speaker D: A little. Some? Yes. Some is just a way to take out the anger. It makes me resent others lives, but in a way, it also makes me want to find a new family. Which is why I'm concerned for all of you. [00:10:29] Speaker A: I am sorry to hear what happened, and thank you for sharing. I don't know what we can do right now about this creature that's stalking you, but you have my word that if I can help, and when I can help, I will be there. [00:10:54] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:10:55] Speaker F: This might not be the time, but I might if you let me see the dagger. Um, I honestly, I don't want to because it seems like there's a lot going on with that thing, and I don't want to have nightmares for the next month. But I could see what I can do, if anything. [00:11:14] Speaker A: You're going to try what you just was? [00:11:18] Speaker F: Yeah, so to speak. I can sort of reach out and search for certain emotions imparted on to the object. If it has a lot of ones, it could just end up me seeing him, so to speak. But I could also see whatever did it. If that thing imparted a lot of emotion onto the knife itself. [00:11:43] Speaker D: Frankly, I don't even know what could have put it in my father. I don't know if it was someone, if it was an accident, or if it was himself. [00:11:58] Speaker F: How would you stab yourself in the back? [00:12:01] Speaker D: I do apologize, but it was actually the chest. Some details stand out, but others do get a little fuzzy, as you can probably understand. [00:12:14] Speaker A: If our word is willing, it's my to give some answers here. [00:12:21] Speaker D: I just kind of push it out towards you. [00:12:23] Speaker F: Howard hesitantly just reaches out and grabs the dagger. [00:12:27] Speaker C: So when you first touch it, you just get a sense of desperation and grief. [00:12:36] Speaker F: Hmm. I feel like both would just be you. I'm gonna see if I can't spend some time focusing on the grief to see who imparted it. [00:12:48] Speaker B: Aren't those the same vibes you got from hemorrhoids stuff? [00:12:51] Speaker F: The. The chalice was hunger. That's what I focused on. I'm sure grief was in it and desperation was in it too. But I was like, why is this cup hungry? [00:13:01] Speaker C: So as Albert is holding on to the dagger and focusing, he's just kind of got his eyes closed, focusing his energy. Kobold's sitting there. [00:13:15] Speaker D: Since we're all laying, it's in time, all laying it out there, I thought I might as well tell you. My name was not always Zafir. It used to be Zephyr. [00:13:29] Speaker B: Ah. Didn't you tell us? [00:13:31] Speaker D: I told you to that last night. I don't know how much you remember, considering how this sounds. [00:13:37] Speaker B: Very familiar. [00:13:37] Speaker D: Inebriated you were. [00:13:39] Speaker A: It is a pleasure to meet you, Zephyr. [00:13:43] Speaker D: You can continue to call me Zefir. [00:13:45] Speaker A: As you wish. [00:13:46] Speaker D: I do. I do wish. [00:13:51] Speaker C: And Alward, as you're focusing on that sense of grief, as you had suspected, your sort of your mind's eye crystallizes and you just see a vision of a young zafir as he's taking the dagger out. And just the overcome with grief. [00:14:13] Speaker B: A. [00:14:13] Speaker F: Tear is going to form in Albert's eye as he gives it back and say, I'm sorry. You imparted a lot of emotion into that dagger. That's all I'm getting. [00:14:27] Speaker D: I figured as much. There's not much left for me anyway. I guess I imbued it all into the dagger. [00:14:39] Speaker B: Val motions for you to come to her so she can hug you. [00:14:44] Speaker E: We're outside the table. [00:14:46] Speaker B: I know. Sitting down. And I only have one arm. Cause he still has my other arm. Oh. Oh, you've just been carrying her arm this whole time? [00:14:58] Speaker D: I put it in my pocket. [00:15:00] Speaker B: Just that arm is hanging out of his pocket. [00:15:03] Speaker D: I put it in my cloak. Can I do that? Can I produce an arm out of my cloak? [00:15:09] Speaker C: Rustaford peeks out of your cloak, holding the arm. [00:15:14] Speaker D: It's a good thing I installed pockets in the back of my cloak. [00:15:17] Speaker E: It has pockets. [00:15:20] Speaker D: I apologize, Val. Here, you can have your arm back. [00:15:24] Speaker B: Thanks. I was just wanting to hug you because you are going through a lot right now. [00:15:28] Speaker C: I want to point out for the audience, this entire time, Sam, as Val has just been gesturing, like, give me my arm. [00:15:34] Speaker B: No, she's been saying, come here. [00:15:36] Speaker D: He really has been only using one arm. [00:15:38] Speaker B: I housed her up, but, like, he. [00:15:39] Speaker E: Has my arm, she had to stop cuddling neros. [00:15:43] Speaker B: No, she's trying not to stop. That's why she's motioning for you to come over. [00:15:47] Speaker F: You're just getting fanned. [00:15:52] Speaker D: Thank you, Val. I'm half your size. [00:15:56] Speaker B: I know. It's very easy to hug you because you're so small. Um, did you ever think, though, the way that that creature you said that he calls you that rabbit almost affectionately. What if he did all this to you to set you up as a weapon for him to take souls? What if this was all his plan, and he did that to your family and put you through all this grief just to mold you into something? [00:16:28] Speaker D: I choose to believe that my actions are of my own. [00:16:32] Speaker B: I know what it's like to be controlled by someone with a distorted view of these things. And it's easy to find out and to put a stop to it if you can. You're not stuck. You can always figure it out and change it, break the cycle, whatever might be happening. But if that's the case, then he might have some distorted view on you, think of you as, like, a weapon of his. It belongs to him. That might be why he's keeping you from everything else, to keep you as a cold blooded assassin. [00:17:15] Speaker D: I never thought of it that way. I just thought he was being rude. But nevertheless, I think we should potentially address him. I don't think we need to go after him yet, but I think we should at least speak. [00:17:36] Speaker B: All right, sounds good. And she'll pull. She'll let go. [00:17:41] Speaker F: Albert's gonna cast time sense again real fast. This is me wanting to know how much time has passed. [00:17:47] Speaker C: 652. [00:17:49] Speaker F: Okay, so not much time at all. [00:17:50] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:51] Speaker C: It's been about ten minutes. [00:17:52] Speaker B: Val's gonna start putting her arm up. [00:17:54] Speaker D: Well, Zafir kind of rubs his nose a little and the bridge is ready. We've all said things and done things and u ver. Could you put on a shirt please? [00:18:10] Speaker F: Oh. Right. [00:18:14] Speaker E: Why are you shirtless? What happened? [00:18:17] Speaker A: Uver just kind of at that. He just kind of frowns for a moment and. [00:18:21] Speaker B: Oh. [00:18:21] Speaker F: How else was I supposed to see his runes? [00:18:24] Speaker A: We were just studying the runes. [00:18:26] Speaker E: Uh huh. Studying the runes. Okay. [00:18:30] Speaker B: Wait. [00:18:30] Speaker F: Where? Um. Well. I don't know if that Kobold speaks. Common. Can you ask him to give me my cup back? [00:18:39] Speaker B: Oh my goodness. You never heard that he said the bridge was done. Did you? [00:18:43] Speaker C: Bridge is done? [00:18:45] Speaker B: Wait. [00:18:45] Speaker F: Is he the common one? [00:18:49] Speaker C: Bridge is done is the only thing I know in common. It says in common. [00:18:52] Speaker F: You just said that you. [00:18:56] Speaker B: He wants the cup back when you're done with it. [00:19:01] Speaker C: Slams back like the last 3oz of coffee and then hands you the cup. [00:19:05] Speaker D: I imagine he starts sweating. [00:19:07] Speaker C: He starts vibrating. [00:19:10] Speaker A: I will say to anyone that noticed cuz this you haven't seen Uwe shirtless. The only thing that looks old about him. The only thing that looks old about him is the fact that his hair and beard are white. [00:19:24] Speaker F: So what you're telling me is he's smooth skinned and ripped skin. [00:19:31] Speaker A: Sure. [00:19:31] Speaker F: No wrinkles. [00:19:32] Speaker E: Very. [00:19:33] Speaker A: He looks like a. He looks like a dwarf in his prime. [00:19:36] Speaker B: Beaten and skin. Wait. [00:19:38] Speaker F: So a lot of hair. [00:19:41] Speaker E: But all of it? [00:19:42] Speaker F: All of it. [00:19:43] Speaker B: He looks unnaturally young. [00:19:47] Speaker A: There we go. But yeah. Seriously, the. The only thing that looks old about him is the fact that his. That hair and beard are white. [00:19:55] Speaker F: Does his face also look like that? Or his face? I've been imagining you with wrinkles this whole time. [00:19:59] Speaker A: Nope. [00:20:00] Speaker F: No? [00:20:01] Speaker E: How old does he look then? [00:20:03] Speaker A: Have dwarf in his prime. So. [00:20:05] Speaker B: Hundred 20. [00:20:07] Speaker F: That makes sense why my mom didn't believe you. [00:20:09] Speaker B: Yeah. I also didn't realize your hair was white. [00:20:12] Speaker A: Yeah, that was like the one of the only description. [00:20:16] Speaker B: Big attention to you, Gandalf. [00:20:19] Speaker E: Level one. [00:20:20] Speaker F: Are your runes purple? [00:20:21] Speaker A: No. They look like very neat scars. But yeah. [00:20:27] Speaker B: That's. [00:20:27] Speaker A: That's just a descriptor that none of you would have noticed until. Well then. [00:20:33] Speaker B: Now val leans right over Daenerys ear and she's like. I told you guys my real name last night. Right? [00:20:44] Speaker C: Yes. [00:20:45] Speaker E: I don't know. Remember? [00:20:46] Speaker D: Yes I did. [00:20:47] Speaker E: What was it? [00:20:48] Speaker D: Hertha. [00:20:49] Speaker E: Oh yeah. [00:20:51] Speaker B: Wow. [00:20:53] Speaker E: It's been a while. [00:20:54] Speaker D: Helvetica. Like the script. [00:21:02] Speaker E: Do you want us to not say anything? [00:21:04] Speaker B: No, I was gonna say something. [00:21:06] Speaker E: Oh, okay. Okay. [00:21:07] Speaker B: I. Well, I said last night that I didn't want to keep lying about things, and then I told dust to keep lying about things, and I just don't think that's a very good idea. So I don't think I'm just gonna stop lying, and I'm just gonna be open and honest. [00:21:21] Speaker F: Howard's internal monologue for the first half of this game. [00:21:25] Speaker D: I think a little white lie isn't. [00:21:27] Speaker C: Such a bad thing. Owered as you say that a Kobold comes running into the village, and he's just, like, flailing his arms as he runs up. And he's like, no, no. [00:21:38] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:21:38] Speaker C: And he's in draconic yelling, the intruder. He's opened the sacred door. [00:21:44] Speaker B: Oh, they're making a move on the sword. We gotta get going. [00:21:48] Speaker F: Oh, let's go. We'll come back for our tent. [00:21:52] Speaker B: Oh. She put. She puts her hands on Howard's shoulder. My name's Hertha Helvig. I'm Hamir's daughter. My dad killed your dad. I'm very sorry. Don't hate me. And then she goes and starts putting on her armor. [00:22:04] Speaker A: Wait, what? [00:22:06] Speaker F: Our just. [00:22:07] Speaker E: We don't have time to unpack this. [00:22:09] Speaker C: Come on, let's go. [00:22:10] Speaker F: Ours. Just gonna look at you. You're putting on your. [00:22:12] Speaker B: Why would I hate you? [00:22:13] Speaker F: You didn't kill my father. [00:22:15] Speaker A: That's very nice. [00:22:16] Speaker B: Do you need help? A lot of people judge me for it. I didn't want to be judged. [00:22:22] Speaker A: This isn't the time for us to have this conversation. [00:22:24] Speaker B: As Uva throws on her shirt, grabs his. [00:22:28] Speaker A: Grabs his book and everything shoves in his Pegasus. We need to get make sure that the man does get the sword. [00:22:34] Speaker B: Just so you know, I really hate my dad. [00:22:36] Speaker F: I don't care how you feel about your father. [00:22:39] Speaker B: I don't hate my dad. My dad's very nice. [00:22:41] Speaker F: Oh, that's good to know that you found somebody else to be a replacement. [00:22:44] Speaker B: Well, he had to raise me because my father was at war with your dad. Killing him. [00:22:47] Speaker A: Howard, let's go. [00:22:49] Speaker B: She's hopping, putting on her last. [00:22:52] Speaker F: We're leaving the tent for now. There's no time. [00:22:55] Speaker B: I bet Sophia could put those tents up while I'm putting on my arm armor. He's very quick. [00:23:00] Speaker E: He is. [00:23:00] Speaker D: I can only put them out fast. [00:23:03] Speaker F: It's taking them down that's the issue. [00:23:04] Speaker B: It takes them like 2 hours. [00:23:07] Speaker C: So as the rest of the group, as you all begin moving off out of the town, being led by the foreman, vibrating all the way down the road the camera's left behind as the kobold that you all spent the night with steps out of the hut, looks at the tent and goes, how do you take this thing down? [00:23:27] Speaker B: Yeah, we just abandoned that poor little kobold that we slept with. [00:23:31] Speaker C: In their haste to get you on to take care of this intruder, the Kobolds seem to have forgotten that you're not supposed to know how to get here. [00:23:41] Speaker F: That's okay. I already knew. [00:23:42] Speaker E: We need to come back anyway for the tents. [00:23:46] Speaker B: They can hold us hostage. [00:23:47] Speaker D: We are following the foreman. [00:23:49] Speaker C: Yes, the foreman is leading the way, and it takes a little bit less time than it took to get here originally. Since now you're not blindfolded, you don't need lead. You can just follow the path, which is far more straightforward than the route you actually followed. They zigzagged back and forth a few times, and before long, you find yourselves back at the gulf, where it goes from that frozen river down to the chasm full of lava. And then the broken bridge and the Kobolds have finished their construction. [00:24:17] Speaker B: Yay. [00:24:18] Speaker C: It does not appear to be a bridge. [00:24:20] Speaker B: Oh, what is it? [00:24:21] Speaker E: What is it? [00:24:22] Speaker B: A catapult? [00:24:23] Speaker C: Yeah, that would be a more accurate description. [00:24:25] Speaker E: Did they build us a trebuchet to launch us over this chasm? [00:24:30] Speaker C: There's, like, a five foot wide basket that seems to be attached to a very tenuous construction and seems to be ready to just spring whatever's in the basket to the other side of the chasm of lava. [00:24:45] Speaker B: Val understands immediately and gets in the. [00:24:50] Speaker C: Instant val steps in. A kobold, standing by, slices through a. [00:24:53] Speaker E: Rope. [00:24:58] Speaker C: And val goes flying across the lava chasm and lands neatly on the other side of the stone bridge. [00:25:05] Speaker E: I don't remember commissioning a catapult. [00:25:07] Speaker B: She does the hero landing and turns around and waves you guys. [00:25:10] Speaker C: As the kobolds begin ratcheting the baskets. Get back down for another clerk, lay. [00:25:15] Speaker B: It out and go, this isn't a bridge. This isn't a bridge. [00:25:19] Speaker C: Well, the foreman continues in common. We started building a bridge, but then we realized most of you are way too heavy. Looks over at Zafir. You could use a bridge, but the rest of you, way too heavy for any proper bridge. So we thought we'd just throw you instead. [00:25:33] Speaker F: I'm going to leave you architectural documents that you can use to build better bridges. [00:25:38] Speaker B: It's funny because getting thrown across the bridge was our first idea. It was. It really was the troll. [00:25:44] Speaker D: I prefer to be thrown by a mechanic being than a living one. [00:25:49] Speaker E: I would like to be thrown next. [00:25:51] Speaker C: So Neros steps up to the basket. Slice the cord. Neros goes flying across the lava chasm as well. [00:25:58] Speaker A: Just misses. [00:26:00] Speaker D: How many of these cords do you have? You keep cutting them. [00:26:02] Speaker C: We keep tying it back together. It's just like a bunch of knots in our body. [00:26:06] Speaker D: I'm going to go next before you get too many slices, guys. [00:26:10] Speaker E: It's fun. [00:26:11] Speaker C: Zafir goes flying and almost overshoots and, like, kind of slams into the railing on the opposite side. You didn't account for my waa. Ratcheting it back down. [00:26:26] Speaker F: After you, friend. [00:26:28] Speaker A: I think you need to go next. [00:26:30] Speaker B: No, no, definitely you. [00:26:31] Speaker F: After you. [00:26:32] Speaker A: And he just shoves you into the basket. [00:26:34] Speaker B: Howard lay its head first. [00:26:37] Speaker C: Goes flying head over heels, just, like. [00:26:39] Speaker B: Flipping over and over. Val raises her arms to try and help steady his leg. [00:26:44] Speaker F: Misses. [00:26:45] Speaker B: Complete reflex save. [00:26:46] Speaker E: Val gets kicked in the face. [00:26:55] Speaker B: 24. [00:26:55] Speaker C: Ooh, good catch. [00:26:57] Speaker D: Zafir holds up a card with a ten on it. [00:26:59] Speaker B: Thank you. Turns him upside down, puts them uvar. Come on, uvar. Just like dwarven catapult. [00:27:09] Speaker A: There we go, kids. Just gets it. [00:27:12] Speaker B: Zafir, could you catch him? [00:27:13] Speaker F: No. [00:27:16] Speaker C: And Uwehr flies across the chasm as well, landing safely on the other side of the bridge. And as Uwe lands, the kobold looks down to tie the rope together, looks up, shakes his head. I'll add a rope, boss. [00:27:32] Speaker B: For the unseen servant. [00:27:33] Speaker F: It's fine. [00:27:34] Speaker B: He can fly. [00:27:34] Speaker F: Let's go. [00:27:36] Speaker C: And with that, you are all safely on the other side of the path. [00:27:40] Speaker B: Yep. [00:27:41] Speaker C: You can see at this point where the path, as you were able to follow it before it broke, there were walls on either side. At this point, there's just a wall on your right hand side. On your left is about a three foot tall stone wall. But you can see over the side of that, down into the lava chasm below. A little ways on down the path, there's another staircase that branches off, like in a t junction, and it goes further up and over the lava wheels. [00:28:07] Speaker F: Albert's going to shout before the kobolds leave and say, what way to the sacred door? [00:28:13] Speaker B: Up. [00:28:14] Speaker C: All of the kobolds shout simultaneously. [00:28:17] Speaker B: They do what you're asking. [00:28:18] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:28:20] Speaker B: Guess it was pretty self explanatory. [00:28:23] Speaker F: All the kobolds on the bridge building crew speak common. [00:28:28] Speaker A: So much for only speaking prerequisite prequels. [00:28:33] Speaker F: That's how they get money. [00:28:34] Speaker D: Cause all blueprints are written in common. [00:28:38] Speaker C: So as you approach the stairs that go off to the side in a t and continue on up, you see a bedroll and the remains of a fire that seemed to have been recently stamped out at the base of the stairs. [00:28:54] Speaker B: Wow. We were really close to these losers. [00:28:56] Speaker F: I'm shocked they didn't hear us. [00:28:58] Speaker B: We could have attacked them while they were sleeping. Like an honorable warrior. [00:29:05] Speaker E: We have an assassin in the group. It could be done. [00:29:08] Speaker F: So I guess we go up. [00:29:10] Speaker B: Yes. Come on, hurry up. Let's go. [00:29:12] Speaker A: They did say up. [00:29:13] Speaker B: She's running up the stairs. [00:29:15] Speaker D: Wait, what's around the corner? [00:29:16] Speaker B: Judging from the map, it's a connection to that broken in pathway we couldn't take. [00:29:22] Speaker D: We go up. [00:29:23] Speaker C: So you're going up. Oh, that was. I was pushing the up button. [00:29:30] Speaker B: Okay, we can see the whole thing. [00:29:33] Speaker A: But what do we see right in front of us? [00:29:35] Speaker B: What's that dude down there? [00:29:37] Speaker C: What dude? What dude? As you reach the top of the stairs, the stone walkway branches out into an arch that seems to be part of the support system for the lava wheels underneath. But as soon as you go over past that, it turns into heavy duty metal grating that seems to be supported by huge steel cables that are going up into the ceiling. And at the opposite end of this grating is a figure. [00:30:09] Speaker D: Hmm. [00:30:11] Speaker C: Who wants to make some society checks? [00:30:13] Speaker E: I will. [00:30:15] Speaker B: I'll do my best. [00:30:18] Speaker E: Not bad. [00:30:19] Speaker D: I put plus three to society. [00:30:24] Speaker A: 26, 22. [00:30:26] Speaker B: 911. [00:30:30] Speaker E: 23. [00:30:31] Speaker C: So Alward, Neros, and Uver all recognize this figure's attire as being in the style of Tian Sha. [00:30:41] Speaker B: It's him or one of his minions. [00:30:43] Speaker C: Although it has some different additions to it. You know, that the lamellar armor design from Tian sha, you know, that we as earth people would be familiar with as, like, samurai armor is usually made as out of, like, plates of non metal material that's all layered over each other. Where this figure, it looks like a lot of the armor is made out of that lamellar armor, but there's also metal portions, including a full bucket helm with, like, horns coming off the back of it. Strapped onto his back is a massive tower shield. Oh, but he does have the traditional katana and tanto that a samurai would wield. His back is to you at the moment. And he seems to be, like, holding something in front of him. [00:31:30] Speaker E: Oh, that is terrifying. [00:31:34] Speaker F: Intimidating. [00:31:35] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:31:36] Speaker B: All right, here he comes. [00:31:38] Speaker A: U ver just kind of whispers and we don't care if we have to take him by surprise. [00:31:43] Speaker B: We don't need to. [00:31:44] Speaker D: How far away are we from him? [00:31:46] Speaker C: From the top of the stairs to the end of that, like, metal catwalk is 60ft. [00:31:50] Speaker B: Val begins taking some steps forward. Very like. Like she's about to start yelling at him. [00:31:57] Speaker A: U ver just grabs her shoulder. I can't. [00:31:59] Speaker E: You can't grab her shoulder? She's over six steps. [00:32:02] Speaker A: He steps forward and just grabs her in general and. Hold on. Let me measure something. [00:32:06] Speaker D: Another hug. [00:32:07] Speaker A: U ver will step forward 15ft. [00:32:11] Speaker B: Well, I mean, he'll. [00:32:13] Speaker A: He'll just grab you and while pushing you back, will step forward. That's what he's gonna do. [00:32:18] Speaker B: Okay, sure. [00:32:20] Speaker A: Zafir rushes up and just cast sudden bolt. [00:32:23] Speaker B: No, hold on. What? Whoa. [00:32:27] Speaker A: Enemy. [00:32:28] Speaker F: We don't know this. [00:32:29] Speaker B: I have to talk to him first. [00:32:31] Speaker A: You don't have to. Yes, I do. [00:32:33] Speaker C: Why? [00:32:33] Speaker B: I have to offer him surrender terms. [00:32:35] Speaker A: You do? [00:32:36] Speaker B: I am a redeemer. I'm not gonna just attack some. [00:32:38] Speaker F: It's her religion. [00:32:39] Speaker B: That's why I was taught. [00:32:40] Speaker A: I get why you do, but why would you ver know that? [00:32:42] Speaker B: Right, but that's why I was coming forward. [00:32:44] Speaker A: Well, exactly. I get that. [00:32:46] Speaker B: Okay, that's fine. [00:32:47] Speaker A: Why wouldn't you? U ver knows that this is. There's only one person in here that they're a part of trying to get the sword. [00:32:56] Speaker B: Just very unhonorable. [00:32:58] Speaker D: Phantom prison. [00:33:00] Speaker A: Oh, well, you're welcome to try and stop me. Yes, but. And I'll also say, whenever I said, we don't. We don't need to talk to him, I said that in character. Nobody mentioned anything. You actually said, yes. [00:33:14] Speaker F: You said, we don't have. We can take him by surprise. [00:33:17] Speaker B: You said, you don't have to talk. You said, we don't have to take him by surprise. [00:33:21] Speaker A: No, I said we don't have to take. In other words, we can take him by surprise. [00:33:26] Speaker B: I thought that meant I could talk to him. That's what I was doing. [00:33:30] Speaker A: That's not what I meant. [00:33:31] Speaker B: Well, can I try and stop you from casting? When you start casting, it is a re. [00:33:34] Speaker F: It is a manipulated. If Jordy's okay with you using a. [00:33:37] Speaker A: Reaction, yeah, you most definitely can't. But we don't have to do all this because I was. I did this on purpose. Or did that thing before to say, hey, is this okay to do that? [00:33:47] Speaker B: Right, but if you guys misunderstood what you're saying, and I didn't even know you were talking in character, I said. [00:33:53] Speaker A: To Louver's voice, it didn't. [00:33:54] Speaker B: When you say, like, two words, it doesn't sound like u ver. It sounds like you. [00:33:58] Speaker A: All right, sortie. [00:33:59] Speaker C: What I'm hearing happens is you guys reach the top of the stairs. You see this figure. Val starts walking forward. Uwe stops her, moves forward starts casting everybody. She's like, what are you doing? [00:34:11] Speaker F: Yeah, basically. [00:34:13] Speaker D: And then Zafir, after seeing the whole hubbub of stopping you, immediately runs up within 50ft. [00:34:22] Speaker B: What are you doing, Zafir? What is, what is everyone doing? [00:34:27] Speaker D: And casts phantom prison. [00:34:28] Speaker E: What are you doing? [00:34:30] Speaker C: And real quick, the party is all okay with the Zafir casting. [00:34:33] Speaker F: I don't want to be in all funneled in a hallway. [00:34:36] Speaker B: I mean, he's running past me while I'm trying to stop u ver. So I don't know if I could stop him from running past me. [00:34:43] Speaker C: So here's the thing. If Zafir is running up, depending on the creed, the target's awareness of the situation, that might start initiative. [00:34:53] Speaker D: Oh, anybody want to stop me? [00:34:56] Speaker F: Can I? [00:34:56] Speaker B: I mean, I vocally tried to stop. [00:34:58] Speaker F: You, but that's my seen servant, an enemy for him for the sake of trying to get through. [00:35:04] Speaker B: So instead of running past, he just runs into it. Yes. [00:35:07] Speaker D: It kind of, it kind of depends on the idea of if we want to start by attacking or not, because whether or not we have a plan, if we attack. [00:35:20] Speaker F: I'm so out of character. I am perfectly fine with attacking this guy. However, I think it is ill advised that we are all almost single file in this hallway, and I just want time for us to move about. [00:35:39] Speaker D: Well, nobody said you couldn't. [00:35:40] Speaker A: Well, no, here's the thing. [00:35:42] Speaker B: We would have to sneak out. [00:35:43] Speaker A: We already said we would have to sneak out. [00:35:44] Speaker F: Yeah, which is fine, but I want the ability to try that before just. [00:35:49] Speaker B: Being like, ha ha ha. [00:35:52] Speaker A: But I don't know. I like the idea of a sneak attack on somebody we clearly already know is an enemy. [00:35:58] Speaker C: Alternatively, we could roll initiative and everybody does their idea at the same time. [00:36:03] Speaker F: That seems fair. [00:36:05] Speaker B: I agree. That's not bad. [00:36:08] Speaker E: I'm fine with Duvair doing whatever he wants to do. [00:36:10] Speaker C: This situation where everybody feels like everybody else was on the same thought and they didn't plan ahead, and everybody else is like, what are you doing? [00:36:18] Speaker B: That sounds fine and fitting to the groove. [00:36:21] Speaker C: So with that, let's roll initiative. [00:36:25] Speaker B: This is her oath, is to offer everyone a chance of redemption before trying to fight them. [00:36:31] Speaker A: Perception is what we roll with, right? [00:36:33] Speaker C: Yes. [00:36:34] Speaker B: Herald diplomacy. [00:36:35] Speaker A: 15. [00:36:36] Speaker C: Yes. [00:36:37] Speaker B: Awesome. [00:36:38] Speaker D: Would you roll 1123? [00:36:45] Speaker C: Sam, what did Val get? [00:36:47] Speaker B: 30 from a natural 20. [00:36:49] Speaker C: Golly and Neros swoon. [00:36:52] Speaker B: She's very diplomatic. [00:36:54] Speaker E: 19. [00:36:55] Speaker B: That's quick maths. [00:36:57] Speaker C: So as everybody has all their different ideas of what they should do here, Val is the quickest to act and she is able to move first, not. [00:37:05] Speaker B: Seeing the others, and she's stepping forward. Or you're not even thinking about u ver putting his hand on her. [00:37:11] Speaker C: She's just like Saito, and the figure turns around. [00:37:18] Speaker B: We're offering you an opportunity to lay down your arms and talk to us. You have to stop what you're doing now. [00:37:27] Speaker C: I don't even know who you are. [00:37:34] Speaker D: Such a villain thing to say, but you could. [00:37:38] Speaker B: We're here to offer you terms to stop what you're doing with the Eritsons. [00:37:44] Speaker C: Wait. Doing. [00:37:46] Speaker B: Doing two of the Eredssons for the Eredsons. [00:37:49] Speaker C: Okay. That's what I'm doing. [00:37:51] Speaker B: Yes. Stop what you're doing for the Eredssons. [00:37:54] Speaker C: And why should I do this? [00:37:58] Speaker B: Because I don't want to have to hurt you. And I want you to stop and talk to us. [00:38:03] Speaker C: Why don't you join me? [00:38:05] Speaker B: In what? [00:38:07] Speaker C: In serving the king. [00:38:11] Speaker B: Are you denying my terms here? To stop? [00:38:15] Speaker C: I'm quite willing to talk. [00:38:18] Speaker B: Are you willing to stop with your ding. [00:38:21] Speaker C: What do you. What am I doing that you want me to stop doing? I'm just standing here. [00:38:27] Speaker E: He has a point. [00:38:30] Speaker F: Don't give away too much info. [00:38:33] Speaker B: All right, fine. We'll be in the middle here, and we'll talk. [00:38:40] Speaker A: That ain't gonna fly. [00:38:42] Speaker C: He steps forward a little bit and looks down, and there's that break in the grating in front of him where you'd have to go around. And he's like, I'll stop here. You walk up to the other side. [00:38:52] Speaker B: Of this gap, she'll start moving forward. [00:38:56] Speaker C: And if everyone is amenable, you may all also move up and we can just go one round in combat initiative. [00:39:01] Speaker B: So is this stopping what everyone else is gonna do? Are they still gonna do what they're doing? [00:39:06] Speaker D: Let's see how this plays out. [00:39:07] Speaker B: Okay. [00:39:08] Speaker F: That's fine. But I would want my unseen servant in front of Val. It has 30ft of movement, so I think it can. [00:39:13] Speaker B: I don't think it's a big deal if you guys start moving to kind of get to the flanking sides, if you wanted to. [00:39:18] Speaker C: Saito wouldn't like that. If they start branching off, you'd be like, no, no. [00:39:22] Speaker A: Together wouldn't listen to that. [00:39:25] Speaker B: Wow. [00:39:26] Speaker C: So you're gonna. You would want to keep branching off. [00:39:28] Speaker A: I branch off at least a little bit to the left a little bit. [00:39:31] Speaker C: That's fine. Like just kind of flanking off to the side. That's fine. He does. He's not wanting you, like, in the range of a line spell. He just doesn't want you flanking and coming around on the sides. [00:39:40] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:39:41] Speaker D: I kind of give Rustaford a little. I point to the corner. [00:39:45] Speaker C: Okay, so he's still back over the stone arch, over the lava wheels. [00:39:50] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:39:51] Speaker C: Okay. [00:39:51] Speaker D: I mean, as long as he can see the action. [00:39:53] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, he can definitely see. [00:39:55] Speaker B: Somebody's got teller story. Valkyrie looks around the others is like the arid sins are threatening innocent lives in this place. We can't let that keep happening. We have to stop this. [00:40:09] Speaker C: There's a saying in these lands. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. Nor can you quell a rebellion without the loss of some lives. [00:40:19] Speaker B: Quell a rebellion? [00:40:20] Speaker C: Yes. This land is an outright rebellion to the high king, Aerid ered. [00:40:28] Speaker B: Dead, as far as I can tell. And he's been dead for. I've never even heard of him before. This even. [00:40:33] Speaker C: That is what the historians say, but they know nothing. I have seen him myself. [00:40:37] Speaker B: You've seen him where have you seen this mad king? [00:40:42] Speaker C: In my mind. [00:40:44] Speaker B: In your mind? Well, that. [00:40:47] Speaker C: I know that sounds stupid. Stop laughing at me. [00:40:50] Speaker B: I'm not laughing at you. My friend is. [00:40:54] Speaker F: I'm sorry. It's just the last time, the last person who said he had ghost in his head was your father. [00:40:59] Speaker B: What. [00:41:00] Speaker C: What do you know of Ered? [00:41:02] Speaker D: Um, it's part of your name. [00:41:05] Speaker F: I don't think he's part of the Eredsons. [00:41:07] Speaker D: Oh, it's part of their name. [00:41:09] Speaker B: He is an old king in ancient thassilon. Is that right? [00:41:14] Speaker C: Not quite that old. A few hundred years, yes. [00:41:17] Speaker F: Some call him a tyrant because he. There's a lot of confusion about his history. [00:41:24] Speaker A: There is two written forms in the public anyway, of who ered sin was. Some called him Zamat king, and some called him the tyrant king. [00:41:39] Speaker C: Lies. All of them. He is the rightful High king as he has slain the dragon Fafnir. [00:41:45] Speaker A: But the evidence said otherwise, did it not? [00:41:48] Speaker F: Yeah. He had no proof. [00:41:50] Speaker B: Fafnir's not did. [00:41:52] Speaker C: And how would you know? Have you been to his lair? [00:41:54] Speaker B: Have you? [00:41:55] Speaker F: That's a good point. [00:41:56] Speaker B: How would you know that he's telling the truth? Are you just blindly following him because he spoke to you in your mind? One will speak to you in your mind. [00:42:03] Speaker F: I actually can't do that. [00:42:06] Speaker B: One of them can cast a spell to speak to you in their mind. [00:42:09] Speaker D: I can speak to him in his. In his ear. [00:42:13] Speaker A: The point is, is that when was. [00:42:15] Speaker C: The last time Fafnir was seen active in these area society. Check u ver. [00:42:21] Speaker A: Thank you. [00:42:22] Speaker B: Can I make a check. [00:42:24] Speaker C: Sure anybody would like to. [00:42:27] Speaker B: Use music? 27, 21, 28. [00:42:34] Speaker C: Nice rolls, all of you. As you're running back through your memory, you're actually not able to think of any recent sightings of Fafnir? Since when he claims Fafnir was killed. [00:42:43] Speaker B: Well, if Fafnir is dead, then why can't he just provide any proof he. [00:42:50] Speaker C: Attempted to and was driven out of his own kingdom. [00:42:53] Speaker B: Why don't you guys just go to Fafnir's lair? [00:42:56] Speaker C: Because it's in the middle of the grungear forest. [00:42:59] Speaker F: Well, if Luger King did it, then it's possible. [00:43:03] Speaker D: Why was he ran out? [00:43:05] Speaker C: I, with no degree of shame, admit that I am not the equal to my king. Aerod. And as for you, small one, he was driven out because his people did not believe him. They called him mad. [00:43:20] Speaker F: You know, that's really rude. We were having a polite conversation, and then you make fun of our friend here. [00:43:25] Speaker C: I don't know if that's rude. [00:43:26] Speaker D: I mean, I get it. [00:43:27] Speaker B: Also, you laughed at him. [00:43:29] Speaker F: He's. It sounds insane. [00:43:31] Speaker A: You said some is a little. What? I know that I was in the middle of green gear forest. [00:43:36] Speaker C: Yes. [00:43:36] Speaker A: Okay. [00:43:37] Speaker C: Yeah, that's fairly common knowledge. [00:43:38] Speaker A: Okay, that's fair. Sorry, I'm. I'm suddenly remembering a certain moment in the groom gear forest. [00:43:48] Speaker B: Well, is that. [00:43:49] Speaker A: Does that actually proc. [00:43:50] Speaker C: Anything, uh, you would know from. Because, you know, the general area, you know, that you were not near Fafnir's lair. [00:44:00] Speaker B: Okay. [00:44:00] Speaker C: In your time in the forest. [00:44:01] Speaker A: Good to know. Okay. Thank you. [00:44:03] Speaker B: Whether he is the rightful heir of this place or not, until he can, you guys can provide any proof? Threatening innocent lives is nothing short of evil and has to be stopped. [00:44:16] Speaker A: The time of a few hundred years ago, the people that would have been in rebellion of him, most of them would have been long gone. Must you hold the sons and grandsons and granddaughters of the people nowadays to the sins of their forefathers? [00:44:31] Speaker C: I do not make these decisions. I merely follow the will of my king. [00:44:36] Speaker A: And why would your king hold such a will and still be called good and not tyrant? [00:44:42] Speaker C: It is not for me to question my king. [00:44:45] Speaker A: It is good for the people to make sure that they are following someone that they should follow. [00:44:51] Speaker C: And are you so short sighted of a man as to fall away when your king does something that confuses you, and he turns away and just stops looking at Uver? [00:45:01] Speaker A: And are you so blind as to not see when a king has lost his way and perhaps should be brought back? [00:45:08] Speaker C: Still avoiding looking at Uwe, he says I offer you audience with the king. You may join him. [00:45:14] Speaker B: What does that mean? Audience of him? Joining him. What. What does that. [00:45:19] Speaker C: You seem capable. You followed me this far into the forge. [00:45:24] Speaker D: Can we forego the door thing? Um, we've got a couple of friends back in the cave that. That don't think it's such a good idea at the moment. [00:45:33] Speaker F: Sophia, can you forget just 5 seconds? Stop giving people information. [00:45:39] Speaker C: I have no idea what you're talking about. [00:45:41] Speaker D: Precisely. [00:45:42] Speaker B: Um. Can we just talk to him now? [00:45:46] Speaker C: No. We would need to return to Joel to be able to speak with him. [00:45:50] Speaker D: We could do that, but could you close the door? I. I've been told it's not good. [00:45:55] Speaker F: I don't. [00:45:56] Speaker C: What door are we talking about? [00:45:57] Speaker D: Somebody said you didn't open a door. You. [00:45:59] Speaker A: The sacred door. [00:46:01] Speaker C: Oh, the door. The door up here. [00:46:04] Speaker B: The one we just. [00:46:06] Speaker D: Was that a door? Did you open it? [00:46:09] Speaker C: Yes. [00:46:10] Speaker D: Then that's the. [00:46:11] Speaker A: What door? [00:46:12] Speaker B: The door we walked through at the top of the stairs. [00:46:14] Speaker A: Was there a door at the top of the stairs? [00:46:16] Speaker C: Yes. Did the game master forget to mention it? Yeah, there's a door at the top of the stairs. It's a wonder the game master didn't bring it up to make sure you knew we were in the right place. [00:46:25] Speaker F: What was he holding, by the way? [00:46:27] Speaker C: He seems to be holding a small golden amulet. [00:46:30] Speaker D: So not a baby. [00:46:31] Speaker A: So not a sword either. [00:46:33] Speaker F: Well, it could be a sword. [00:46:34] Speaker B: Well, until we know you're not threatening the lives of innocents, we can't just stop and let you leave. [00:46:42] Speaker C: Then it seems our path is clear. [00:46:46] Speaker B: Alright, then. [00:46:47] Speaker C: It's a good thing we ruled initiative. [00:46:50] Speaker B: I'm very sorry about this, Val. [00:46:54] Speaker C: This is your turn. [00:46:55] Speaker B: Oh. [00:46:56] Speaker C: As you can see, he begins to like, move his arm menacingly, as if he was gonna draw a weapon. [00:47:01] Speaker B: She takes a little ribbon at the end of her glaive and like, dips it in some paint on her side, and then splashes out a deluge of colorful, illusory paints and tools as she's casting splash of art and he's make a will save. [00:47:20] Speaker F: That is such a specifically named spell. [00:47:22] Speaker E: But it's great. [00:47:24] Speaker B: It's my domain spell. Ah, that makes sense. [00:47:27] Speaker C: DC 20, a critical success. [00:47:30] Speaker B: Nice. No, that's bad. [00:47:32] Speaker F: Oh. [00:47:34] Speaker C: Oh, yes, yes, yes. Sam and I were talking about this, I think. Jenkins, you were there when we were talking about this official announcement. You may now use a hero point to give disadvantage on an enemy that is rolling a save against you. As we are like, oh, wait. Half the party is casters. This will make hero points a lot more easy to use. [00:47:54] Speaker E: Yeah, it would. [00:47:56] Speaker A: 100%. [00:47:57] Speaker B: All right, let's try it. But I assume they can't see. [00:48:00] Speaker E: I'm sorry. I heard critical success and got very excited, and then I realized I heard. [00:48:05] Speaker A: Jordy say critical success, and I went, DC 21. [00:48:08] Speaker C: You said 2020. Regular failure. [00:48:12] Speaker B: Probably one off. [00:48:13] Speaker D: Roll time. [00:48:14] Speaker B: All right, I'm gonna roll a, decide what color paint it is. Blue, white. [00:48:21] Speaker A: Dang it. [00:48:22] Speaker B: He is dazzled for one round. Oh, on red, he would have been enfeebled. On yellow, frightened blue, clumsy. [00:48:30] Speaker E: Just debuff this guy. [00:48:31] Speaker B: Yeah, just a splash of, like, art of, like, a rose and a branch. Bird carrying it goes and just lashes against him. [00:48:42] Speaker C: What a way to start. You are all now concealed to him. [00:48:45] Speaker B: And then I'm casting shield, and that's when I end up. My turn. [00:48:49] Speaker C: All right, it's now his turn. He is going to begin walking around the gap. So his vision is hazy, but it's not so bad as to be, like, blinded. But he's going to begin walking around that gap that you all were negotiating around, and he's just walking down the other path as if to just leave. [00:49:11] Speaker B: He's dazzled. He falls off. Oh, he's just running past us. [00:49:15] Speaker C: He's got heavy armor on, so he's moving slowly, but he's just walking away. [00:49:20] Speaker B: Don't let him get away. [00:49:22] Speaker C: Zafir, it's your turn. [00:49:24] Speaker D: So, question is my fatigue, what does that affect on DC's? If I were to, um, have a DC against, or they would have to match a DC, what would that mean? [00:49:35] Speaker C: No effect on that. The fatigue only affects your defenses. So minus one to your armor, minus one to your fortitude, minus one to your reflex, minus one to your will. [00:49:43] Speaker D: Okay, how far down that, uh, is it to the start of the path. Did that make any sense? [00:49:49] Speaker C: So, like, how far back would you have to go to get back onto the stone archway? Yeah, it'd be 25ft away from you. [00:49:56] Speaker D: That is perfect. Actually, from there, I am going to. Is he over a grating? [00:50:06] Speaker C: Yes, he's currently over a grating. [00:50:08] Speaker B: Okay, lightning. [00:50:09] Speaker D: How big are the grates? [00:50:11] Speaker F: Big enough for us to walk on. [00:50:13] Speaker C: They're about three inch holes. So three inch spaces between each of the bars that make up the grating. [00:50:19] Speaker D: Okay, I cast scatter, scree, scree. [00:50:26] Speaker B: What is that? [00:50:27] Speaker D: Yeah, so from above his head, you see just a bunch of rocks loose from the top of the cave. [00:50:35] Speaker B: Oh. [00:50:36] Speaker D: And begin to fall. And damage. I have to. [00:50:42] Speaker A: It's three d, four. [00:50:43] Speaker D: It's a basic reflex. [00:50:44] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:50:45] Speaker C: What's your DC? [00:50:46] Speaker D: DC 20. [00:50:48] Speaker C: Regular success. [00:50:49] Speaker D: So half damage. [00:50:50] Speaker B: Yay. 1.5 d four. [00:50:56] Speaker D: I have three d, four s here somewhere. [00:50:59] Speaker A: But the important. The important bit that I think you are going for if you want to read the rest of it. [00:51:05] Speaker D: So the rest of it says the ground in the area becomes difficult terrain for a duration, just 1 minute. However, I don't know if the holes are too big for the rocks to. [00:51:16] Speaker B: If the rocks fill the holes, then he'll need to be careful not to slip on the rocks. [00:51:20] Speaker A: But that's. [00:51:21] Speaker D: The rocks would fall through and not stub his toe. [00:51:23] Speaker F: Difficult terrain. [00:51:24] Speaker E: And we all know a stub toe can completely debilitate you. [00:51:30] Speaker B: True. [00:51:30] Speaker F: It can lead to a toenail infection. [00:51:33] Speaker E: It could. [00:51:34] Speaker B: Or several. [00:51:35] Speaker C: I think scree would be large enough that it could impose a difficulty in this situation. [00:51:41] Speaker A: Okay. [00:51:42] Speaker B: Yay. [00:51:44] Speaker C: So scatter gravel. It wouldn't. [00:51:50] Speaker B: It'd just be dusty. [00:51:52] Speaker D: So five damage. Nice. [00:51:56] Speaker C: All right. So stride two spells. Two actions to cast a spell. It is Neros turn. [00:52:02] Speaker E: Oh, lord. I was not prepared. I was riffing with Sam. [00:52:05] Speaker D: I also wasn't prepared. [00:52:06] Speaker B: The amount of time you've been looking at that iPad and not talking to me, I feel like you are ready. [00:52:11] Speaker D: She's looking at memes. [00:52:13] Speaker E: I'm gonna cast phantom pain. I would like a will save, please. [00:52:18] Speaker C: What's the DC. [00:52:19] Speaker E: That's a great question. 21. [00:52:21] Speaker F: Make him hurt. [00:52:22] Speaker A: The way you said that made, like, gonna make him, like, have a high, high price at his. His coupon. Doesn't work at the mall. [00:52:30] Speaker C: Regular fail. [00:52:31] Speaker B: Hey. [00:52:35] Speaker F: Celebrate those here. [00:52:39] Speaker B: Same times these. [00:52:42] Speaker D: I didn't cheer, so. [00:52:44] Speaker B: I love you. [00:52:44] Speaker E: All right. [00:52:45] Speaker D: Reading about AI. [00:52:46] Speaker E: So you get full little waste. Initial and persistent damage. Let me roll that. Initial damage. You roll that mental, and that's maximum damage. [00:53:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:53:04] Speaker E: And you get one d. Four. Persistent damage. [00:53:08] Speaker B: Love it. [00:53:09] Speaker E: You are sickened one. [00:53:10] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:53:12] Speaker E: If the target recovers from being sickened, the persistent damage ends and the spell ends. [00:53:18] Speaker B: If, if, if. [00:53:21] Speaker F: What's sickened do again? [00:53:22] Speaker E: I don't know. [00:53:23] Speaker B: Minus one to basically everything. [00:53:25] Speaker C: Yeah. Pretty much near us. You have one action left. [00:53:28] Speaker E: Oh, I'm gonna do it. [00:53:32] Speaker B: Do it, do it. [00:53:34] Speaker E: I'm not like other girls. I've got tentacle arms. Focus spell. Tentacular limbs. [00:53:42] Speaker B: Nice. [00:53:43] Speaker C: Saito doesn't seem to notice he's still dazzled. [00:53:45] Speaker B: Do you notice how Jordy made the gaps just far enough that I couldn't stab over the gaps with my glaive? [00:53:52] Speaker C: You could if you jump. [00:53:56] Speaker F: All right. [00:53:56] Speaker C: Uwehr it is your turn. [00:53:57] Speaker B: If I took off my armor I could. [00:54:00] Speaker A: How far is he away from me now? Cause he moved 30ft. 30ft? [00:54:04] Speaker B: Just double diagonal. [00:54:06] Speaker A: I can work with that. I can work with that. [00:54:08] Speaker B: I would better hope so. [00:54:10] Speaker A: He's wearing wizard armor, right? And has metal on it, right? Yes. [00:54:15] Speaker B: And he's walking on metal. [00:54:16] Speaker A: And he's walking on metal. But that's not the part that matters. [00:54:20] Speaker E: We're all on metal. [00:54:21] Speaker D: Oh no, I'm on stone. [00:54:25] Speaker B: He's surrounded by rocks. So the rocks will take up the lightning. [00:54:28] Speaker A: That's not how that works. [00:54:30] Speaker C: Oh, isn't it? [00:54:33] Speaker A: Not when it's a touch spell with Reach. [00:54:36] Speaker C: I think I know where you're going. [00:54:38] Speaker A: Yes you do. Shocking grasp. [00:54:41] Speaker E: Oh. [00:54:42] Speaker B: Oh. Reach spell makes reach. Yeah, but it's still a touch. Gotcha. Yeah. [00:54:47] Speaker E: I thought you were about to light. [00:54:48] Speaker A: That means that I get a plus one circumstance bonus to my attack roll. Okay, cuz he has metal armor. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I need to roll. [00:55:00] Speaker B: I thought this guy was gonna at least try to fight us. And he's just running. [00:55:04] Speaker C: He's purposefully walking. [00:55:06] Speaker A: Purposefully. [00:55:07] Speaker B: He was walking, then he's like ah, rocks. [00:55:11] Speaker E: He was speed walking like the suburban. [00:55:13] Speaker A: Moms does a 27 hit. Hit. [00:55:17] Speaker C: No. [00:55:19] Speaker E: What? [00:55:19] Speaker B: What? I mean, that wouldn't hit me. [00:55:22] Speaker E: It would hit me. [00:55:22] Speaker B: It would hit me. What? [00:55:24] Speaker C: So you do your reach spell with the shocking grasp and you just get the sense that his armor is nigh upon impenetrable with him being. [00:55:33] Speaker B: With him being sickened. [00:55:34] Speaker C: With him being second nigh impenetrable. [00:55:38] Speaker B: He didn't cast like a the amulet. [00:55:41] Speaker E: Oh crap. [00:55:43] Speaker B: Wait, but it's impossible to disarm people in this game. How are we supposed to do anything? [00:55:47] Speaker D: Guys, I've got mage hand. It's okay. [00:55:49] Speaker E: You guys steal the amulet, we're gonna play slap hands. [00:55:54] Speaker A: You suck. [00:55:56] Speaker B: At least it was a handshake. [00:55:58] Speaker A: No, it wasn't. [00:55:59] Speaker B: I know. [00:56:02] Speaker A: All right, well, I know what I'm using. Next time. That is my turn. [00:56:07] Speaker D: Gosh. [00:56:08] Speaker C: Oh. Cause it's a reach and a spell. [00:56:10] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:56:11] Speaker A: Uvair is going to yell out that information though. [00:56:19] Speaker F: A 27 doesn't hit. I don't think I can do anything. But I'm going to have my unseen servant move diagonally across, no. [00:56:32] Speaker B: Blocking his path or the zafir. [00:56:34] Speaker D: Yes. Oh, you weren't asking for me. [00:56:37] Speaker B: North of him. [00:56:38] Speaker F: One over. [00:56:39] Speaker C: So you have your unseen servant move in a line with Zafir to block his path off the catwalk. [00:56:46] Speaker F: And then. I know this is gonna fail, but I'm gonna do it. Anyway, I need him to make a fortitude save. [00:56:58] Speaker C: What's the DC 21? A regular failure. [00:57:02] Speaker F: Oh, fun. So Albert's book starts glowing a little bit of gold and it sort of wraps around him as what looks to be little tiny sand particles slowing down. And he is clumsy too. And enfeebled to for 1 minute. And is drained one. [00:57:22] Speaker C: You got the good spell on him. [00:57:24] Speaker E: Jeez. [00:57:25] Speaker F: It's my relics second ability. [00:57:28] Speaker E: That's amazing. [00:57:29] Speaker F: It is. And that is my turn. [00:57:32] Speaker C: Okay, so to recap, he's clumsy. Two, enfeebled, two sickened, one dazzled. [00:57:39] Speaker F: Drained. [00:57:40] Speaker C: Drained, one. [00:57:41] Speaker B: You'll be undazzled at the end of my turn. [00:57:43] Speaker E: We're just debuffing the crap out of. [00:57:45] Speaker B: That's how you fight. [00:57:47] Speaker A: But look at him. [00:57:49] Speaker C: All right, Val, it's your turn. [00:57:51] Speaker B: How far away is he from me? [00:57:53] Speaker C: 25Ft. [00:57:55] Speaker B: So if I were to try to pull the amulet from his hand, is there anything I could do about that? Or is that like a. [00:58:02] Speaker C: That would be a disarm check. [00:58:03] Speaker B: Okay, so that'd be basically impossible. You know, it's possible he's a thaumaturge and that's his special item. [00:58:11] Speaker E: That's possible. [00:58:13] Speaker A: Well, go do something about it. [00:58:14] Speaker F: Recall knowledge. Let's figure this out. [00:58:16] Speaker B: Could I. Trying to think about how to set myself up here. How many actions is it to get in range of attacking this guy? [00:58:24] Speaker C: It would be two strides. [00:58:26] Speaker B: He's just out of range of a single stride and attack. So. [00:58:29] Speaker A: Frustrating question. How did my attack look when it tried to hit him? [00:58:37] Speaker C: How do you describe somebody they would have hit with the electricity? They didn't miss. But the armor was sufficient. It looked like the. The armor was sort of just dampening the charge to the point where it wasn't a big deal. [00:58:51] Speaker B: Okay. Can I do a recall knowledge about what just what happened, what effect that might be that just stopped? Unless that was that. Unless I was just a miss. [00:59:00] Speaker C: I'm gonna give you that for free. He's got extremely heavy armor on. So it was just a missing ac is too high? Yes. [00:59:08] Speaker B: Okay. The way it was described, it was. Sounded almost like the armor, like, absorbed the damage. He just took no damage. [00:59:15] Speaker F: It sounded as though we could do something to help us. But no. [00:59:19] Speaker B: Okay. It was my last action. [00:59:22] Speaker C: At this point, he's currently experiencing a minus two to his armor class because he is clumsy too. [00:59:27] Speaker B: Can I move 10ft south of him? Southeast. So to the right one? [00:59:33] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:59:34] Speaker B: And then I'm just gonna attack him. [00:59:35] Speaker C: Alright. [00:59:36] Speaker B: I feel like that's worthwhile. [00:59:37] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:59:38] Speaker B: 22. [00:59:40] Speaker C: That's gonna miss, unfortunately. [00:59:42] Speaker B: All right, that's my turn. [00:59:43] Speaker C: So Saito begins walking towards the exit again. The servant, of course, is unseen. So he strides into the servant and is stopped by the servant. He kind of just, like, pushes up against the servant for a second, looks confused, looks over to Zafir down at the amulet in his hand, focuses for a second, then raises the amulet over his hand, and as he does so, a ghostly katana appears out of his hand, and he swings it down at Zafir. [01:00:10] Speaker B: That's so sick. [01:00:11] Speaker F: But why has it got to be against us? [01:00:14] Speaker B: For what? Action. [01:00:15] Speaker C: A 25 to hit. [01:00:17] Speaker D: That hits. [01:00:18] Speaker C: All right. [01:00:19] Speaker B: I should have gone up there. [01:00:22] Speaker C: That's 21 damage. [01:00:24] Speaker B: You looking all right, Sofia? [01:00:26] Speaker D: It's half of what I currently have, pretty much. [01:00:29] Speaker F: I feel like we shouldn't have done this one yet. [01:00:31] Speaker B: No, I think this is. We are able to fight it. It's just that it's a one v all, boss. So I assume his ac needs to be high. I know, or he's got something going on. [01:00:40] Speaker C: But, I mean, he's got crazy good armor on, right? [01:00:44] Speaker D: Once we kill him, we can steal it. [01:00:46] Speaker C: All right, Zafir, it's your turn. [01:00:48] Speaker A: If we kill him. [01:00:49] Speaker B: Okay. [01:00:50] Speaker A: Like, the dudes just nonchalantly walk because. [01:00:52] Speaker E: He knows we can't touch him. [01:00:54] Speaker D: So I did his ghostly sword go. [01:00:59] Speaker B: Away after he made a strike. [01:01:00] Speaker C: It still is visible. [01:01:01] Speaker D: Okay, then I am going to need a fortitude save. [01:01:04] Speaker C: Ooh, what's the DC 20? Regular fail. [01:01:10] Speaker B: Wow, this guy is. [01:01:12] Speaker F: He either has really bad saves or he's just rolling back. [01:01:14] Speaker B: I mean, you roll a crit. Success. First off, yeah, it was that hero point disadvantage. So you're you. [01:01:20] Speaker D: So you just hear Zafir after getting struck, kind of curse under his breath, and then just say you are thirsty as he casts cup of dust. And a regular failure means it lasts for one day. The creature is immediately affected by a thirst as if it hadn't had a drink in it days. It becomes fatigued and takes one d. Four damage each hour that it can't be healed until it quenches its thirst. No amount of drinking can quench the creature's thirst during the spell's duration. [01:02:00] Speaker B: He's a thirsty boy. [01:02:02] Speaker C: Wow, my mouth feels awful good. [01:02:08] Speaker D: And then he takes two damage. [01:02:12] Speaker B: Wait, what? [01:02:12] Speaker C: Wait. Stop everything. Abby, you want to roll? Persistent damage. [01:02:18] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, I will. What was it, 1d? Did I say one d? Four? [01:02:22] Speaker C: Yes. [01:02:23] Speaker D: Oh, I didn't even need to. [01:02:25] Speaker E: Four. [01:02:26] Speaker F: Ooh, nice. [01:02:27] Speaker B: Ooh. [01:02:30] Speaker E: You have a bad headache and his. [01:02:33] Speaker B: Mouth feels weird, so. [01:02:35] Speaker F: His mouth feels weird. He has a headache. He's clumsied. He's dry. He's enfeebled. [01:02:40] Speaker B: Wow. I guess you save spells now. Guys. [01:02:43] Speaker C: Neros. [01:02:44] Speaker E: I. How far away is he from me now? [01:02:49] Speaker C: 30Ft. [01:02:50] Speaker E: Perfect. [01:02:51] Speaker C: The unseen servant kept him from getting out of range. [01:02:54] Speaker E: Cause what I want to do is create a sound burst without including Zafir. [01:03:00] Speaker D: I can close my ears in it. [01:03:01] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah, he'd be out of range. [01:03:03] Speaker E: Okay, then give me a fortitude save. Last time I tried this, it didn't work. [01:03:10] Speaker C: You ever have one of those times where you throw a die and it lands on the exact same number after it rolls around for a bit? It's freaky. Regular fail. [01:03:17] Speaker F: It's a freak. [01:03:19] Speaker E: Okay, that's two d. Ten of damage. Nice. That is ten sonic damage. Because I rolled a two on one of them, and you are deafened for a round. Oh, my goodness. [01:03:35] Speaker B: This guy. His mouth feels weird. He's got a headache now. He can't hear anything. [01:03:41] Speaker E: His ears are just so. [01:03:43] Speaker C: There's my line. [01:03:45] Speaker B: At least he can see again. He's not dazzled anymore. [01:03:47] Speaker D: This sounds like when I get MSG poisoning. [01:03:54] Speaker B: So true. I'm sorry for that. [01:03:57] Speaker E: And then I'd like to move north. Not that far north, like in between Zafir and. Who is that in front of me? Al. Word. [01:04:07] Speaker F: Yes. [01:04:07] Speaker E: It's gonna create a right in the middle of them. [01:04:10] Speaker C: All right. [01:04:10] Speaker B: Stuck in the middle. [01:04:11] Speaker C: You're just like 5ft away from the edge of the stone arch now. [01:04:15] Speaker A: All right, Uvar, move me 20ft towards him. Just straight. Yeah, straight up. And Uvar obviously very frustrated that that armor is so thick. [01:04:28] Speaker D: Dummy. [01:04:29] Speaker B: Thick. [01:04:32] Speaker C: Armor. [01:04:33] Speaker E: Thick armor. [01:04:34] Speaker C: Thick armor with three seeds. [01:04:36] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, impressive, but stands for clang. [01:04:40] Speaker F: Clang. [01:04:41] Speaker A: Wish it wasn't. For now, it'll be mine. [01:04:44] Speaker B: Disadvantage to stone, you can't wear heavy armor. [01:04:50] Speaker A: Blame them. [01:04:53] Speaker E: You started it. I didn't. [01:04:55] Speaker B: You said thick. He just used the word thick as it's intended. [01:05:03] Speaker C: So, uwe, staring at this thick armor. [01:05:10] Speaker A: He'S gonna look at him and say, so be it. I hold out his hand and I imagine this dark swirl just kind of warps space around him in front as he casts agonizing despair. I need a will save. [01:05:28] Speaker F: That sounds terrifying. [01:05:29] Speaker B: He succeeds after all time, right? [01:05:33] Speaker A: 21 regular fail. [01:05:36] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. [01:05:38] Speaker C: And if I'm counting correctly, the fatigue is the only thing debuffing the will. And that's why he failed. [01:05:46] Speaker F: Does drain debuff any. I don't know what mine debuffs your fortitude. [01:05:50] Speaker A: All right. So he is now frightened too. [01:05:56] Speaker B: Is he really? [01:05:58] Speaker C: Unfortunately, that's also a status penalty. [01:06:03] Speaker B: But that's attack rolls. [01:06:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:06:08] Speaker A: And he takes four d six mental damage. [01:06:11] Speaker B: We're not done yet. Hold our horses. [01:06:14] Speaker A: 13 damage. That's my turn. [01:06:18] Speaker C: Our. [01:06:21] Speaker F: Like a bad player. I haven't been planning out my turns. [01:06:24] Speaker B: Like a bad pirate. Yes, like a bad pirate. [01:06:28] Speaker C: Like a bad pirate. Howard is there. [01:06:32] Speaker B: Here you go. [01:06:35] Speaker F: I'm going to amp a spell and I need him to make a fortitude save again. [01:06:45] Speaker C: This is the fourth time I've rolled that number in a row. [01:06:48] Speaker B: Regular failure. [01:06:49] Speaker C: Freaky. Yeah. Regular failure. [01:06:50] Speaker B: Like a four. And he's one under. [01:06:58] Speaker A: Don't worry, guys. I have a plan. [01:07:01] Speaker E: I'm glad you do. [01:07:02] Speaker B: Don't trust you. [01:07:04] Speaker F: So what's gonna happen is I'm going to select his area and then just some random other area. And since he failed, he's going to take two d six bludgeoning. And then two d six slashing damage. That look on the face tells me none of this is going to go through. [01:07:23] Speaker D: I do need to like what's happening. Well, I guess you'll explain that it's just a yawn. Don't worry, he's not happy. [01:07:30] Speaker B: Not bad, man. [01:07:31] Speaker F: That's not bad at all. [01:07:33] Speaker A: What? [01:07:33] Speaker B: Average. And a great. [01:07:35] Speaker F: So that's 21 damage. If I'm doing. [01:07:41] Speaker C: That's the total of both of them together. [01:07:42] Speaker F: Yeah, that's six plus six plus six. And then three. [01:07:45] Speaker B: That's a third six. [01:07:46] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:07:47] Speaker B: Oh, I thought. [01:07:47] Speaker E: Oh, my God. [01:07:48] Speaker F: No. [01:07:49] Speaker B: Yeah, that's 21. [01:07:51] Speaker C: It all goes through. [01:07:52] Speaker E: That'll do. [01:07:53] Speaker C: And he is now bloodied. [01:07:55] Speaker A: Finally. [01:07:56] Speaker F: And then for my last action, can I recall knowledge to know his class? [01:08:04] Speaker C: Yes. [01:08:05] Speaker F: Since he's just a human. [01:08:06] Speaker C: Make a society check his classes. [01:08:08] Speaker B: NPC. [01:08:09] Speaker A: Don't you make the society check? [01:08:10] Speaker C: I do. What's your society? [01:08:14] Speaker B: A one. [01:08:15] Speaker F: I would believe you. [01:08:17] Speaker C: He's a rogue. [01:08:19] Speaker F: I don't believe. [01:08:20] Speaker C: Sam, what have you done? [01:08:23] Speaker B: Stop speaking things into existence. [01:08:25] Speaker A: Sam. [01:08:26] Speaker E: Samuel Sarver. [01:08:27] Speaker A: Sam wouldn't do. [01:08:28] Speaker E: My powers come back to me. [01:08:31] Speaker B: Stop mentioning roles. I do what I do. [01:08:36] Speaker C: Well, speaking of Sam, it's his turn. [01:08:41] Speaker B: 20Ft movement. Can I get within 10ft of him? [01:08:45] Speaker D: Yes. [01:08:46] Speaker C: Yeah, you can go up here and then just go here to go around the screen? [01:08:49] Speaker B: Yes. Okay. [01:08:50] Speaker C: So now you're up on the stone arch with them as well. [01:08:52] Speaker B: Awesome. So she runs up there, mutters a prayer to Shailen, and the paint just starts swirling and mixing with the crackles as she casts true strike and attacks. [01:09:06] Speaker F: Nice. [01:09:07] Speaker E: Beautiful. [01:09:08] Speaker A: We'll see if it works. [01:09:11] Speaker B: 28. [01:09:13] Speaker C: That's a hit. [01:09:16] Speaker F: Well, he has a lot of negatives to him right now that affect his ac. [01:09:20] Speaker A: Good point. [01:09:20] Speaker C: But still, I'm doing a lot of math over here, guys. [01:09:24] Speaker B: That is 14 points of slashing. [01:09:27] Speaker E: Nice. [01:09:28] Speaker B: So she does that. Slashes him good. So she still have an opportunity here, stand that. [01:09:36] Speaker C: And he replies, I will die for my king. [01:09:40] Speaker D: Then die. [01:09:41] Speaker C: It is Saito's turn. He's going to make a shove check against this, whatever that's in his way. [01:09:48] Speaker E: So this guy's not even attacking. [01:09:50] Speaker B: He's succeeding. [01:09:51] Speaker D: Attacked me. [01:09:52] Speaker B: Sit unseen, sir. He's just gonna push at this. 21 damage. [01:09:57] Speaker F: What's it against again? [01:09:59] Speaker B: Fortitude DC. [01:10:00] Speaker F: His fortitude DC is ten critical success. [01:10:06] Speaker D: He gets down. [01:10:08] Speaker F: Oh, wait, I didn't sustain him. He's just gone. [01:10:11] Speaker E: But he doesn't know that. [01:10:14] Speaker C: So he like shoves out in front of him and he's like, waves his hands a little bit and starts walking. [01:10:21] Speaker E: If you shove hard enough, you will trip over nothing and make a reflex. He will stumble forward. I totally forgot that mechanics. [01:10:33] Speaker C: So with his critical success, he is allowed to move into that space with his shove. Check. [01:10:38] Speaker E: He just keeps going and stumbles into the lava at the end of the tackles. [01:10:44] Speaker B: I think that's how this. [01:10:50] Speaker C: Takes that tower shield off of his back, holds it in front of him, facing you all, and he's like, I will deliver this to my king. And starts backing down the stairs like a weird vampire. [01:11:02] Speaker F: I don't want to kill him. [01:11:03] Speaker A: Is he still frightened? [01:11:05] Speaker C: He's frightened one now. I just remembered he can't reply to val checking and be like, you still have a chance. [01:11:13] Speaker B: He's just like, what? Oh, I forgot. What is wrong with this man? [01:11:21] Speaker C: All right, Zafir, it's your turn. [01:11:23] Speaker D: How far away from me is he? [01:11:25] Speaker C: 20Ft. [01:11:26] Speaker D: He's 20ft. Okay, so who all is behind me? [01:11:30] Speaker B: Question. I am. [01:11:31] Speaker A: We are. [01:11:32] Speaker D: Is anybody, like, in. Can anybody see my face? [01:11:35] Speaker B: No, I imagine I'm sideways of you. I can see the side of your. [01:11:39] Speaker D: Face, so you won't see this. But from what he sees is just my jaw and hinge and just a horde of spiders come crawling out towards him. [01:11:55] Speaker B: I would say Val definitely sees that. [01:11:57] Speaker E: I forgot about this being sideways of. [01:11:59] Speaker D: You, and I need a fortitude. But you said I could give him disadvantage. Yeah, yeah, this one's fine. [01:12:09] Speaker F: That's gross. [01:12:10] Speaker E: I completely forgot about this. Yeah, it's so gross. [01:12:16] Speaker F: There are a lot of really gross spells in this game. [01:12:19] Speaker C: Yeah, regular fail. [01:12:20] Speaker E: Hey, that'll work. [01:12:22] Speaker B: Keep the streak going. All right, so that was a good rule implementation. [01:12:28] Speaker D: So he takes six damage as the spiders bite and sting. [01:12:35] Speaker C: Are there any writers or poison or anything? [01:12:37] Speaker D: He also becomes comes second one. [01:12:40] Speaker C: He has sickened one again. [01:12:41] Speaker B: Still, he's. Now he's sick for a different reason. [01:12:44] Speaker C: He's got two. He has actually. That's. It is significant. Cause he has two instances of being sick. Yeah, he would have to recover from both of those to not be sickened. [01:12:54] Speaker E: That's good. [01:12:55] Speaker D: Oh, and then Zafir takes a step to the left. [01:13:03] Speaker B: And then a jump to the right. [01:13:05] Speaker D: No, that's a joke. That's a joke. [01:13:07] Speaker B: Step to the left. [01:13:09] Speaker C: Neros, it is your turn. [01:13:12] Speaker D: She puts her hands on her hips. [01:13:15] Speaker B: Tentacle arms. I believe in you. [01:13:18] Speaker E: I'm not using my tentacle arms. [01:13:20] Speaker B: If you're using your arms, technically you are. [01:13:22] Speaker E: I mean, yeah, I guess just waving them around. I really want to give you a disadvantage. [01:13:30] Speaker B: Okay. [01:13:31] Speaker A: You should. [01:13:32] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:13:33] Speaker B: The casters splurge at this fight. [01:13:35] Speaker E: I want to give you a disadvantage. Merry Christmas. [01:13:38] Speaker B: It's so nice to not be the only one consistently spending hero points. [01:13:42] Speaker E: Okay, this is the reason I needed you to move grim tendrils. [01:13:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:13:48] Speaker E: Fortitude. [01:13:49] Speaker D: Save tentacle arms, tendril, things with disadvantage. [01:13:55] Speaker C: I got a question. What happens on a critical fail, really? [01:14:02] Speaker E: You take double negative damage, but that means double persistent and double persistent bleed. [01:14:09] Speaker F: Ten out of ten with the tentacles. [01:14:12] Speaker E: Ten out of tentacle. It's not. Not great. [01:14:17] Speaker F: Double it. [01:14:18] Speaker E: So that's ten with tentacle. Ten negative damage. [01:14:22] Speaker B: Better than five. [01:14:23] Speaker E: And you get two persistent bleed. [01:14:26] Speaker F: Beautiful. [01:14:27] Speaker C: Would you roll that one, D? Four. Persistent mental damage he should have taken while I was coming down the stairs. And I forgot to ask for. [01:14:33] Speaker E: Oh, the mental damage. [01:14:34] Speaker B: Yes, the mental damage. [01:14:36] Speaker E: Four. [01:14:37] Speaker F: Yeah, Max damage. [01:14:38] Speaker C: Oh, that spells like the mvp here. [01:14:40] Speaker B: Is he alive? [01:14:43] Speaker A: Well, he was bloodied. Mm hmm. [01:14:45] Speaker C: There we go. [01:14:45] Speaker A: So he's beyond bloodied. [01:14:46] Speaker D: So he's dead. [01:14:48] Speaker E: Doubtful. [01:14:49] Speaker D: Think his armor is just sentient. [01:14:51] Speaker C: Badly injured is what the foundry would say. [01:14:54] Speaker B: Ah, hey, that's good for us, not for him. [01:14:58] Speaker C: Alright, so Neros, you did grim tendrils. He critically failed. I believe you have one action left. [01:15:03] Speaker E: Yep. I'm just. I'm gonna step up to be even with Zafir. [01:15:07] Speaker C: Alright, so now Zafir, Neros and Val have gotten back onto the stone arch, but uweir and Alward are still out on the metal catwalk. And Saito is making his way down the stairs. Back away from all of this. Uwe. It's your turn. [01:15:24] Speaker B: Oh, another hero. Point spent for another wizard. [01:15:29] Speaker F: He's our only wizard. [01:15:30] Speaker B: Yes, true. [01:15:31] Speaker A: I'm an archetype. [01:15:32] Speaker C: What am I rolling for? [01:15:33] Speaker F: You're kind of a wizard. [01:15:35] Speaker A: Reflex. [01:15:36] Speaker D: You're kind of a wizard, Harry. [01:15:37] Speaker A: 21. [01:15:38] Speaker B: Wonder if that's the one he's really good at. [01:15:40] Speaker C: Fail. [01:15:41] Speaker A: Perfect. So here comes. [01:15:44] Speaker C: I will let you know by one. [01:15:46] Speaker B: Oh, those debuffs, baby. This is how you do a good boss fight, guys. [01:15:51] Speaker A: You have. [01:15:52] Speaker B: You have to debuff him to death. [01:15:54] Speaker A: Uva is after that. After casting agonizing despair, he's also gonna say, and I don't want to see your king back as he casts sudden bolt. [01:16:11] Speaker B: Oh, like all the one liners. A deaf man. [01:16:18] Speaker A: Hubert's not really saying it to him. [01:16:21] Speaker D: I mean, we gotta talk. Some of these are somatic. Sorry, verbal. Yeah, semantic theatrics. [01:16:27] Speaker E: Shush. [01:16:27] Speaker B: You're theatrical. [01:16:28] Speaker A: I am. [01:16:29] Speaker B: Get out of here, theater kid. [01:16:32] Speaker D: Theater of the face. [01:16:34] Speaker A: 29 damage. [01:16:35] Speaker F: Oh, that's good. [01:16:37] Speaker B: Doth he be dead? [01:16:39] Speaker C: He's still up. [01:16:40] Speaker E: What? [01:16:40] Speaker C: He is not looking good. [01:16:42] Speaker B: You see, say near death. [01:16:45] Speaker A: I really want to finish him off, but I don't think near death. [01:16:52] Speaker B: Let me hit him and take credit for the. [01:16:55] Speaker C: You have one action left over. [01:16:58] Speaker F: Pawn ship. [01:17:01] Speaker D: I'm gonna run up, tickle him. [01:17:05] Speaker C: So you run to the top of the stairs. [01:17:07] Speaker A: Mm hmm. [01:17:09] Speaker F: All right. [01:17:09] Speaker C: Al word. [01:17:11] Speaker B: Get him. Al word. I believe in you. [01:17:13] Speaker F: Can you remind me how a shove works? [01:17:16] Speaker C: On a success, they move 5ft. On a critical success, they move 10ft. [01:17:20] Speaker F: Okay, get me within 30ft of him first. Thank you. [01:17:24] Speaker B: One step forward. [01:17:26] Speaker F: I'm then going to amp my mage hand and these, like, ghostly hands that become invisible as they're flying through Neros and Zafir fly toward the target. [01:17:37] Speaker B: Ooh, that felt weird. [01:17:38] Speaker F: Grab on behind him and I can make an attack roll against his fortitude DC instead. [01:17:44] Speaker D: Wow. [01:17:45] Speaker B: And shove attack roll. [01:17:50] Speaker F: Kind of really want this. I'm gonna go ahead and use my only hero point. [01:17:55] Speaker B: Sad, sad days. [01:17:57] Speaker F: Sad days were had by me. 21 against his fortitude, with all of. [01:18:02] Speaker C: The debuffs just barely a miss. [01:18:07] Speaker F: The target takes a minus ten foot circumstance penalty to its speed until the spell ends, starting at the next round. After I've cast the spell spell, if I sustain it, I can attempt the shove check again. So I'm not sure if he still takes the minus ten. Regardless, the way I would read it. [01:18:23] Speaker C: Would be you make a shove check and whether or not you succeed to move him, he's got the hands still holding onto him. So he has that penalty to his speed. And then at the beginning of your next turn, you can try another shove before they dissipate. [01:18:35] Speaker F: Then I straight up. Do not care that I failed, as long as he gets the minus ten status penalty to his movement. [01:18:42] Speaker A: There we go. [01:18:43] Speaker C: All right, Val, it's your turn. [01:18:45] Speaker B: All right, how does my. What does 20ft give me? [01:18:49] Speaker C: You can step up next to Uvair at the top of the stairs, and you are 10ft away from Saito. [01:18:53] Speaker B: Does he hurt any of us in the last turn? [01:18:55] Speaker C: Not this last turn. [01:18:56] Speaker B: Drat. [01:18:57] Speaker C: He tried to hurt the unseen servant. [01:19:00] Speaker B: I will run around him with my other movement, and I will attack with my glaive natural 20. Yo, Sven for a 34. [01:19:10] Speaker A: Oh, you're right. [01:19:11] Speaker B: We haven't gotten a card in so long. Oh, my God. With the butt. About minute. [01:19:15] Speaker A: All right, what is, what is this attack? [01:19:17] Speaker B: It's a glaive. It's a glaive slashing damage. [01:19:21] Speaker A: All right, this will be interesting. Knockback. Push the target up to 10ft. [01:19:32] Speaker B: That's it. [01:19:33] Speaker F: That's amazing. [01:19:34] Speaker B: Well, let me get damage out first. [01:19:36] Speaker A: I think he dead. [01:19:38] Speaker D: Is he already towards the end of the stairs? [01:19:41] Speaker C: So with the, with the attack from the glaive, it pushes him back up to the top of the stairs. [01:19:47] Speaker E: It's an interesting knockback. [01:19:49] Speaker B: 40 points of damage. Oh, my goodness. Wait, let me make sure I did that right. [01:19:55] Speaker D: Don't break my heart, Sam. [01:19:57] Speaker E: Yeah, please, please don't. [01:19:58] Speaker B: Yeah. No, 13 plus four. [01:20:00] Speaker F: Uh huh. [01:20:01] Speaker B: Is 17. That's 34 plus six for deadly. [01:20:04] Speaker F: That's 40. [01:20:04] Speaker B: That's 40 damage. [01:20:05] Speaker F: That's 40. [01:20:06] Speaker E: Oh, my gosh. [01:20:08] Speaker C: My poor, sweet baby had single digits. [01:20:11] Speaker F: Hey, hey, hey. He was given two options, and one of them he couldn't hear. [01:20:16] Speaker B: So she gets down behind him.
