[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part. Such as, like, comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:30] Speaker B: Hello, everyone. It's me, Sam. Hutch Comic con is happening June 20 to June 21 in Hutchison, Kansas at the Kansas City Fairgrounds. We're gonna be there Saturday the 21st, just for the whole day. We're currently finishing up some of our discussions about what kind of panel we're gonna do over there. So it'll be some sort of Q and A type thing. So if you come, we'd love to see you and you can join in our panel and ask us questions. We just love to chat and hang out with you so much while we're there. We're excited because it's a whole new place for us going over to Kansas. It's a whole new thing for us and we're just looking forward to just meeting more new people. So, anyway, I'm gonna leave you here. Enjoy. I hope to see you in Hutch, if not hope to see you another time in the future. Enjoy the show. A lot's happening. Enjoy and hop on in the discord and talk with us about it. That's right. It's a plug. Double plug. Woo. [00:01:29] Speaker C: Now, where did we leave off? [00:01:33] Speaker A: Ah, yes. [00:01:36] Speaker C: While investigating the disturbed tombs beneath Joel, the party heard suspicious noises from the neighboring chamber. As they peered into the darkness to discern the source, a viscous voice demanded. Who's there? [00:01:57] Speaker D: Are you boys okay? [00:01:59] Speaker E: No. [00:02:00] Speaker D: Do we need to have a therapy session real fast? [00:02:02] Speaker E: I thought that's what these games were. [00:02:04] Speaker B: Let's explore this a bit. [00:02:06] Speaker E: What are we exploring? [00:02:07] Speaker D: Tell me about your childhood. [00:02:10] Speaker E: We do not have time, Abby. [00:02:16] Speaker B: Yeah, I've been thinking about that a fair amount. I've been reading an emotional health book. It's been nice. [00:02:22] Speaker E: Glad. [00:02:23] Speaker B: It's one that the therapists at the marriage retreat recommended for me if I wanted to go into therapy as a field. So I've been reading a couple of those. [00:02:31] Speaker A: That's neat. [00:02:32] Speaker B: Yeah, it's been nice. [00:02:34] Speaker F: So is it teaching you things about therapy or is it helping you by therapeding you? [00:02:39] Speaker B: Yeah. These books are also meant for me to like, because if you're going to be a therapist, you need to have a essentially be therapized verse and have an understanding of who you are and how to do all those things already. [00:02:54] Speaker F: Who's the therapist to the therapist? [00:02:56] Speaker E: Other therapists. [00:02:57] Speaker A: Other therapists. [00:02:57] Speaker B: Typically other therapists. Yeah, yeah. Friends. [00:03:00] Speaker D: But who's the first therapist? [00:03:01] Speaker A: Probably not friends. [00:03:03] Speaker E: Well, I mean they technically would be your colleague. [00:03:06] Speaker A: Yeah. But you don't have to know them. [00:03:07] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:03:08] Speaker C: If you are like a licensed therapist, you are required to maintain an active therapy. [00:03:13] Speaker E: That's cool. [00:03:14] Speaker A: Yeah, that makes total sense. I'm going to bounce off that. [00:03:19] Speaker B: Okay, bye. [00:03:21] Speaker E: Well, we're going to talk about when did this springboard get here? [00:03:25] Speaker A: So the springboard is coffee. [00:03:29] Speaker D: Okay, Exactly. [00:03:30] Speaker F: Coffee. [00:03:31] Speaker D: Continue. What about coffee? Sorry, I was in the middle of taking a sip of something and choked. [00:03:37] Speaker F: Which was not coffee. [00:03:38] Speaker D: It's not. It's coffee cream soda and it's not caffeinated whatsoever. [00:03:42] Speaker A: No coffee. As the therapist of the morning. Agreed. [00:03:50] Speaker E: Disagreed, but for different reasons. [00:03:52] Speaker A: Yes. So this is a little bit. I've been drinking coffee since I was five years old. [00:03:59] Speaker E: Literally since I was a five year old coffee. [00:04:02] Speaker D: Why were you drinking coffee at five years old? [00:04:04] Speaker A: So here's the thing. Dad. My dad grew up know he always drank a cup of coffee growing up in the morning as I'm sure most people's parents or, or, or whatnot did. My thing is, is that caffeine doesn't actually affect me like it, it genuinely. If I have. [00:04:20] Speaker D: He has the adhd. [00:04:22] Speaker E: Is that what that means? [00:04:24] Speaker A: No, but it can be an effect. So stimulants don't necessarily have the same effect on people who are diagnosed with ADHD like I am. Granted at the time growing up I didn't know I had adhd. [00:04:35] Speaker C: I. [00:04:36] Speaker A: But they did notice that I was not affected by caffeine. I could drink a cup. I, I could, you know, do whatever and go to bed right after a pot of coffee. [00:04:44] Speaker E: Caffeine. [00:04:45] Speaker A: So funny thing, growing up that way and having coffee be normal to me. Dad had an espresso maker. [00:04:53] Speaker E: Ooh. [00:04:53] Speaker A: Yeah. It was just a little espresso maker. And that would be kind of our, you know, special cup of coffee that we would have every now and again we'd make a, an espresso. The thing is, is that I. What I didn't know is that, you know, an espresso is technically like a shot. Whenever we made our special cup of coffee, we made the full little pot which is about four or five shots of espresso. And that was, you know, and we'd put, you know, cream and sugar and stuff and that was our special cup of coffee and we drank that. And that was normal for me growing up. [00:05:29] Speaker D: Just like a full, full cup of espresso. [00:05:32] Speaker A: Like a full mug of espresso. [00:05:35] Speaker E: Sometimes you need It. [00:05:36] Speaker D: Oh, gosh. [00:05:37] Speaker A: Well, like I said, I wasn't affected by caffeine. I just enjoyed the taste of it. [00:05:44] Speaker F: Jeez, that sounds gross. [00:05:45] Speaker A: Well, the first time I ever went to a coffee shop, okay, as in college, as an adult. The first time I ever went to a coffee shop and bought coffee, I decided, you know, I like espressos. So I'm gonna get myself an espresso. It'll be the first thing I ever order. So I order an espresso and I wait, and they bring it out, and. [00:06:08] Speaker D: They bring out this little cup, the tiny coffee. They bring out the little espresso cup. [00:06:13] Speaker A: And the first thing I literally said was, where's the rest of it? Because I didn't know. I thought espresso for me was like. [00:06:25] Speaker E: A full cup of coffee. [00:06:26] Speaker B: Like a full normal. [00:06:27] Speaker D: I say again, how did you not have a heart attack? [00:06:31] Speaker F: Can we go back to talking about our childhoods? [00:06:33] Speaker E: Because, no, we don't have time. [00:06:34] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. [00:06:35] Speaker F: I'll tell you what. My coffee morning is G Fuel. Not sponsored. [00:06:41] Speaker A: How have you not had a heart? [00:06:43] Speaker D: Why do you just have a container. [00:06:45] Speaker A: Of G fuel Container? [00:06:47] Speaker E: That's why he wants the water. [00:06:48] Speaker F: Why I wanted the water. I put it in the fridge. [00:06:51] Speaker C: If. Okay, I'll just say, if Petit doesn't have G Fuel, I would be surprised. [00:06:56] Speaker D: He just brought out a mixing bottle. [00:06:58] Speaker B: Okay, whatever. I would be so happy in happy form if he stopped drinking it. [00:07:04] Speaker F: You know, I would probably be the most zoned out guy. I could not figure anything out. [00:07:10] Speaker D: I have a monster in the fridge. Hang on. [00:07:12] Speaker E: You do? [00:07:12] Speaker A: I saw it and I wasn't going. [00:07:14] Speaker F: To say Jordy was about to give us a good transition. And then. [00:07:18] Speaker C: Let's. [00:07:18] Speaker E: Gentle parent. [00:07:19] Speaker B: Speaking of monsters in the fridge, I'm. [00:07:21] Speaker C: Friends with the monster that's in my frid. [00:07:27] Speaker E: Well, now we can't transition because Abby's. God. [00:07:29] Speaker B: I would always. [00:07:31] Speaker A: The monster. [00:07:32] Speaker B: I would always recommend doing your best to resist chemical. [00:07:35] Speaker D: No, I said I'm right here. [00:07:37] Speaker A: That is a good thing. I. I will say that even though I have grown up drinking coffee, I. I can genuinely say I am not addicted to coffee, because I am. Yeah, I'm not addicted. I'm actually not addicted specifically to caffeine. Like, I. I don't really drink coffee at home. I'll drink coffee at work, but I'll sip it throughout the day in one, like, one setting. Like, I'll fill up my thermos, and then sometimes I finish it. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I don't get around to It. Because I don't have a chance to. And I don't get headaches. I don't anything. There was a time in college where the coffee in the cafeteria was so bad it made me physically ill. I didn't drink coffee for months, so never got a headache. I didn't drink soda a lot. So, I mean, it is a nice thing. I know people will be jealous, but. [00:08:23] Speaker D: That must be nice. As a caffeine addict, if I go two days without coffee, I have the most splitting, horrible, disgusting headache, and I feel like I'm about to pass out because I'm so tired. [00:08:38] Speaker A: I know I feel bad. [00:08:39] Speaker D: I've got the adhd. But, I mean, caffeine does have an effect on me. [00:08:43] Speaker F: I'll tell you this. When I had cancer, I had no caffeine. I drank water for about six months straight. [00:08:51] Speaker E: I know it wasn't bad. [00:08:55] Speaker C: Speaking of water, you guys were in this room with the catacombs. This splash of brackish water just came across the room. Val and Einar had just stepped forward into the room, made some kind of quiet sound, maybe stepped on a loose stone that turned or something, and you all heard, I might add, in your minds, oh, who's there? [00:09:19] Speaker B: In our minds? That's a big difference from last time. [00:09:22] Speaker C: I didn't say that last time. [00:09:24] Speaker F: My mind isn't big enough for somebody else to talk in it. [00:09:27] Speaker A: In my mind. [00:09:29] Speaker D: Oh, no. [00:09:30] Speaker F: Well, we can't respond because it's not nice to speak back to something that only talked to your mind. [00:09:35] Speaker D: If it does hear response, all it hears is a string of expletives from Neros. It's not every day that someone just suddenly intrudes your mind with their own thoughts. [00:09:47] Speaker F: If it's a collective, it's just coming like a giant scream from, like. Not a scared scream. [00:09:51] Speaker E: But I thought long and hard when picking my spell list, and I thought, I'm gonna get that spell that, like, messes and, like, puts a bomb in your mind for when people try to mess with you. And it'd never come up, but it'd always be there. And now you make me regret my choices of not picking it. [00:10:06] Speaker F: I regret not putting a bomb in my head. [00:10:08] Speaker A: You didn't pick it. [00:10:09] Speaker E: I didn't pick it because I have a rule when making a character due to various things, to always try and pick the active option and not the passive option. That depends on somebody else. [00:10:22] Speaker B: Is this just because you played the Bard? [00:10:25] Speaker E: That. And because the GM has a lot to focus on. And I love Geordi. He is A great gm. He does not shoot his monk, to use a colloquial term. So not colloquial, but like in the tabletop rpg. [00:10:43] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:10:44] Speaker F: Can I specify that Jordy has a shirt that says best GM ever? [00:10:47] Speaker E: Yeah, he does. [00:10:47] Speaker C: Okay, now I'm wearing it right now. [00:10:50] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:10:51] Speaker B: If. Do I have time that like the voice in the mind stuff, am I able to like, am I familiar with an undead creature like that or if it's. That too broad? [00:11:02] Speaker C: Yeah, I think that might be a little bit too broad. [00:11:04] Speaker B: I was impressed. Psychic, undead, not sure how common that is. [00:11:08] Speaker C: I need to clarify something that I'm realizing I didn't clarify. Who's there was a question that was asked in Empyrean. [00:11:18] Speaker D: Oh, that's a. [00:11:20] Speaker B: You know, you've really needed to specify that. [00:11:22] Speaker C: I got really excited about who's there and neglected to mention it was telepathic Empyrean. Who's there. [00:11:29] Speaker D: I mean, granted, it still would have probably been a string of expletives from Nero. [00:11:33] Speaker B: So last session you say who's there? A couple times this session you say, oh, by the way, it was in your head. And then you add on, by the way, it was also in a language only one of you know. [00:11:43] Speaker E: I know that. Thank you. [00:11:44] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:11:45] Speaker A: Alright. Why do you know that? [00:11:48] Speaker B: When did you learn Empyrean? I thought you didn't know. [00:11:50] Speaker D: Oh, I know Empyrean. [00:11:52] Speaker B: Why do we all. [00:11:55] Speaker D: Let me check my taught me Empyrean. [00:11:58] Speaker B: Empyrean is the celestial language. [00:12:00] Speaker F: Yeah, I don't think I know anything. [00:12:02] Speaker A: Except I don't know that one. [00:12:04] Speaker B: I didn't think so because it came up before. [00:12:06] Speaker D: I completely forgot you taught me how to speak in Paris. Thanks, buddy. [00:12:11] Speaker F: I mean, I don't think I chose anything. [00:12:14] Speaker E: Well, you technically, as somebody who has a high intelligence modifier and a fetchling, I believe you know, you would have common probably shadow tongue due to fetchling heritage and then four other languages. [00:12:25] Speaker F: Oh, I know. Chthonian. That's the demonic one, isn't it? [00:12:29] Speaker E: What is it? [00:12:29] Speaker F: Yes, Demon, common and sacral, which is. [00:12:36] Speaker D: Used to be under common. It's the new name for under common. [00:12:39] Speaker F: I guess I should know what. Two more. Three more. Two more. Three more. One more. [00:12:43] Speaker E: You should know one more. That isn't shadow tongue. [00:12:46] Speaker F: Can I know it? Can I know whatever imperial you said? [00:12:49] Speaker C: I mean, Empyrean has been coming up a lot in this campaign. [00:12:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:12:54] Speaker C: And I think you've increased your intelligence since it has been coming up. So you would have gained one of these languages mid play. [00:13:01] Speaker F: Heck, yeah. That is in my wheelhouse now. [00:13:04] Speaker D: Guys, we all know Empyrean. [00:13:05] Speaker E: We all have an uncommon language that we know. We can have secret conversation. You just said you know Empyrean. Get out of here, Sven. [00:13:15] Speaker D: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. [00:13:17] Speaker E: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Get out of here. Einar. [00:13:19] Speaker D: No. [00:13:21] Speaker B: He said he thought it was a different language. He didn't realize it was. [00:13:24] Speaker D: Jenkins, be nice. [00:13:25] Speaker E: I chose violence today. [00:13:27] Speaker D: Abby, do you need some coffee? Calm down a little. [00:13:35] Speaker C: So you hear in your minds, in Empyrean, who's there? And then in that just beat of pause of you, like, what did I just hear in my mind? You hear repeated in Chthonian. I say, who's there? [00:13:53] Speaker A: Ah. I know neither of those. [00:13:59] Speaker E: I know. [00:14:00] Speaker A: So I just hear. [00:14:02] Speaker B: I'll maybe hold up in it. [00:14:05] Speaker E: I mean. Yeah. [00:14:07] Speaker B: Valkina looks around. I guess I'll talk to it. [00:14:13] Speaker E: Use Empyrean. [00:14:14] Speaker C: I hear your feet on the threshold. Do you bring more meat? [00:14:20] Speaker B: Is that what you crave or meat? [00:14:24] Speaker C: That is my role. [00:14:25] Speaker B: Your roll with what role? [00:14:29] Speaker E: Oh, he eats the flesh off of the bone. [00:14:31] Speaker B: That's what I was thinking. [00:14:32] Speaker E: No, no, no. [00:14:34] Speaker F: The meat off the bone. [00:14:35] Speaker B: All right. If you Are you just here eating bodies, you hear. [00:14:40] Speaker C: Just like this shuffling of bones. It seems to be getting closer to that corner that you're hearing the noises of Howard. [00:14:51] Speaker B: Did you prepare your spell to shoot? [00:14:53] Speaker C: Maybe asking these questions means you do not serve my mistress. You will be meat. [00:15:04] Speaker E: I'm not allowed to prepare the thing, apparently. [00:15:06] Speaker B: I think you should shade it. [00:15:08] Speaker E: Can I do that? [00:15:09] Speaker B: Just roll the die out? [00:15:11] Speaker C: Because you guys had this planned in advance, I will say that this is a niche scenario where I will let Albert cast this spell, and then we will roll initiative. [00:15:19] Speaker E: Amazing. [00:15:20] Speaker D: You're so benevolent and nice. [00:15:22] Speaker E: Anyway, I can kind of see where he's at now. So I'm going to make sure one of the three things that exist is on his square. And then the other two. One's going to be just. The other two are just going to destroy Bones. And since it sounds like he sounds goopiest, I'm gonna do. Would slashing or bludgeoning? Be better? [00:15:44] Speaker B: Slashing. [00:15:45] Speaker E: That's what I was thinking. [00:15:46] Speaker A: Question. Do they stay there for a way? [00:15:48] Speaker E: No, it's just. Oh, okay. Yeah. Just instant. So, yes. Slashing damage, I guess. And it is a basic fortitude save. [00:16:00] Speaker C: What's the DC? [00:16:02] Speaker E: I'm not gonna tell you. The DC. That means you beat it. [00:16:05] Speaker C: It's 28 meets it beats it. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Oh, come on. [00:16:09] Speaker E: Hey, that's okay. Casters are meant to fail everything they do because stuff still happens. That's how I have to think of this game. So it's going to be. Since it's amped, it's going to be 4d6 slashing damage. Since I didn't choose its own amp, it doesn't do the both of the damage. So let me. I need more dice. [00:16:30] Speaker D: How many you need, bruh? [00:16:31] Speaker E: I just need 2d6. I don't want to dump my dice out. Oh, thank you. [00:16:34] Speaker F: Have at it. [00:16:35] Speaker D: Sam has I tried to say bruh and friend at the same time and. [00:16:38] Speaker E: It came out bren, fam. [00:16:40] Speaker C: Bren. [00:16:40] Speaker B: It's smart to use my dice. They always help my friends. [00:16:52] Speaker E: What? What did you roll on my dice? I rolled a six. [00:16:58] Speaker D: Nice. [00:16:59] Speaker E: Sam's dice both rolled a three. Hey, so mid. [00:17:03] Speaker A: That's not bad. [00:17:04] Speaker E: It's not. So 12 damage, half to six slashing. [00:17:08] Speaker C: All right. And as the world of telekinetic energy just rips at this creature's body, I'm going to ask you all to roll initiative. [00:17:16] Speaker D: No. [00:17:17] Speaker B: Can I roll religion? [00:17:18] Speaker D: I'm technically around the corner next to that other sarcophagus, so can I say no? [00:17:24] Speaker C: You can just skip the first round if you choose to. [00:17:27] Speaker D: I'm kidding. [00:17:28] Speaker E: I'm gonna forego my initiative, thank you. [00:17:31] Speaker C: All right, val, what's your initiative? [00:17:34] Speaker B: 27. [00:17:36] Speaker C: Einar 23. Zafir. [00:17:42] Speaker F: Well, I just rolled a 20, so. 37. No, no, no, sorry. 36. [00:17:46] Speaker A: Natural 20. [00:17:48] Speaker C: Alward. [00:17:49] Speaker E: 34. [00:17:50] Speaker F: I like this. Die. [00:17:52] Speaker C: And Neros. [00:17:53] Speaker D: 25. [00:17:55] Speaker C: All right, so with that first shot fired off with that telekinetic rend from Alward, we will begin initiative with Zafir. [00:18:03] Speaker F: So, can I see him? [00:18:05] Speaker C: You can begin to see the corner of something green and goopy coming around that wall. [00:18:12] Speaker F: So he is going to hear behind him as a message in Chthonian, look behind you. [00:18:22] Speaker C: He looks. [00:18:25] Speaker F: And then I'm gonna let an arrow fly. Two actions, right? Yes, with the spell strike. [00:18:32] Speaker C: So spell strike would be a two action activity right? Now, I will say, from where you're standing, since only the edge of him is showing, he's gonna get a plus two to his AC against you. [00:18:40] Speaker F: You sure that didn't, like, whip his head around and make him, like. [00:18:43] Speaker A: Well, he's got his cover. [00:18:46] Speaker C: Yeah, it's just because he's got cover. [00:18:48] Speaker F: Okay, so what am I going at a disadvantage? [00:18:51] Speaker C: He just has a two circumstance bonus. [00:18:53] Speaker E: I don't know if this would count, but can him doing that message count as created a version, or would that not be. [00:19:01] Speaker F: It was meant to be more of a distraction because I would make him. [00:19:04] Speaker E: Off guard if he succeeds. [00:19:05] Speaker C: Go ahead. Make a deception check to see if it draws his attention enough to make him off guard. [00:19:14] Speaker F: 14. [00:19:15] Speaker C: Yeah, he just kind of glances and is looking back. Just in time for your arrow. [00:19:19] Speaker F: Dang. [00:19:19] Speaker C: I rolled a two on the attack. [00:19:21] Speaker F: Roll on the deception check. [00:19:22] Speaker C: Oh, okay. [00:19:23] Speaker F: So the attack. [00:19:25] Speaker C: And what spell are you imbuing into your bow? [00:19:28] Speaker F: Yeah, since I was thinking about frostbite, I might as well do that one. Is it really a plus? 18 to hit? [00:19:35] Speaker E: Why do you sound surprised? Don't sound surprised. [00:19:37] Speaker F: Because we haven't been in. I haven't done this in a very long time. Okay. 15 plus 18. [00:19:43] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:19:44] Speaker F: 33 to hit. [00:19:45] Speaker C: That's a hit. So your arrow slides right past that corner of the wall and embeds itself into the green ooze, and it starts crystallizing. Frost over the shell. [00:19:56] Speaker F: Sorry, I have to pull out six D4. [00:19:59] Speaker E: That's a lot of 60s. [00:20:01] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:20:02] Speaker E: Six, right? [00:20:03] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:20:03] Speaker B: Okay, so. [00:20:07] Speaker F: Oh boy. That's 12. Hold on. 10 from the arrow, two from fire, 13 from frostbite. I don't know how much damage that was total cuz I was not putting a running total in my head. [00:20:24] Speaker C: I was subtracting them as he went, so I don't know either. Okay, but he takes the damage. [00:20:31] Speaker D: That's the important part. [00:20:32] Speaker B: Somebody put that in the discord. [00:20:33] Speaker D: Please. [00:20:34] Speaker B: How much damage that was? [00:20:36] Speaker C: 10 plus 2 plus 13. So a total of 25. [00:20:39] Speaker F: Nice. [00:20:40] Speaker B: 3 plus 2 plus 1. [00:20:41] Speaker C: All right, so Zafir used one action to try to create a diversion with your message, and then two more actions to spell shot a frost imbued arrow alward. It is your turn. [00:20:52] Speaker E: I was a bad player and was not thinking about my turn that whole time. I am. I am so sorry. [00:20:59] Speaker D: It's okay. I usually don't think about my turn. [00:21:01] Speaker E: Oh. [00:21:02] Speaker F: Usually when we do, we have to change it by the time it rolls around. [00:21:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:21:05] Speaker A: Nice thing about being a fighter is my turn is fairly simple, you know. [00:21:09] Speaker E: What. [00:21:14] Speaker F: Language was that? I don't know that one. [00:21:15] Speaker D: Jenkins Ex is not responding. [00:21:19] Speaker F: I don't think there's a duolingo class for that. [00:21:23] Speaker E: Okay, Porky Pig, two actions to lose times arrow and give everybody haste kind of kind of haste. They may use it to stride or step, not strike. And then I'm gonna go ahead and try to aid Val just because I can't. Oh, oh. Or not. [00:21:46] Speaker B: I guess if you're looking for a thing to do with your action. [00:21:50] Speaker E: I'm not. [00:21:51] Speaker B: Okay. But if you want, I'm about to do a thing that's gonna damage people adjacent to me. [00:21:55] Speaker E: Oh. [00:21:56] Speaker B: But it's a DC23 check, so you might be fine. [00:21:58] Speaker D: I am not adjacent. [00:22:01] Speaker E: Hey, I get that free action, too. [00:22:03] Speaker C: You do? [00:22:04] Speaker E: Oh, my. I'm gonna use my free action to step further into the room like a dummy. [00:22:09] Speaker C: Albert. [00:22:10] Speaker E: And then I'm gonna. Oh, yeah. [00:22:11] Speaker C: So you've stepped a little further into the room, kind of turned a little bit. So you now have a pretty clear view around that corner and can see the creature. You see that it is a roughly humanoid shape of green ooze with various different bones and skulls, like, just sticking out of it. Let me get a picture up for you all. [00:22:34] Speaker B: Oh, witness me. [00:22:36] Speaker E: Witness him indeed. [00:22:38] Speaker F: He is a little bit colder now, though, right? [00:22:40] Speaker B: He is horrifying. [00:22:41] Speaker E: It looks like he's going to grip you with his ribs and pull you on. [00:22:44] Speaker B: That's possible. He also looks like he's, like, impaled on a thing. [00:22:48] Speaker E: You know what? Instead of doing the eight action, I got a recall knowledge. [00:22:52] Speaker C: There's one last thing I would like you to know about this guy. This is so. With, like, a gelatinous cube. It's like really clean, pristine slime. You can almost see through it. Yeah, this thing is all murky and mucky and disgusting. [00:23:06] Speaker E: Yeah, we can see that. That's a bit rude. [00:23:08] Speaker D: What's on his head? [00:23:10] Speaker F: It's a skull. [00:23:10] Speaker B: It's a skull with horns, like a teeth. [00:23:13] Speaker F: Probably wasn't his to begin with at first. [00:23:15] Speaker D: Not gonna lie. I thought that was the helmet. [00:23:17] Speaker B: He's a thief. [00:23:19] Speaker C: Albert, you said you were gonna do recall knowledge. [00:23:21] Speaker E: Yeah, I think I gotta. What skill? [00:23:22] Speaker C: What's your occultism bonus? [00:23:24] Speaker E: I want to say 19. Let me double check that. Yeah, 19. Before you tell me the answer, does that. Do I feel good about it? I have a thing that lets me go back in time, sir. [00:23:37] Speaker C: You feel good? Okay. [00:23:39] Speaker E: No, no. Is this. I'm actually feeling good, or did I roll an AT1? [00:23:45] Speaker C: This is called an Omox. [00:23:48] Speaker B: Yep. [00:23:49] Speaker C: Typically a level 12 creature, but this one seems a little bit weaker than. [00:23:54] Speaker E: Normal because he ate too much tainted meat. [00:23:57] Speaker C: It is an ooze, but it's not merely an ooze. It is also a demon. [00:24:02] Speaker E: Demon ooze. [00:24:04] Speaker B: Oh, snap. [00:24:04] Speaker C: Crap. Yes. It originates from the souls of those who have routinely befouled and polluted their surroundings in life. [00:24:13] Speaker F: Dang. [00:24:14] Speaker C: You have one question. [00:24:16] Speaker E: All right, guys. Do we Want to know saves or special ability? [00:24:20] Speaker F: Honestly, I'm kind of curious about weaknesses, because I don't know if my immunities. [00:24:24] Speaker B: I'm about to do a fire thing. [00:24:26] Speaker A: Same. [00:24:26] Speaker E: So I have weaknesses. [00:24:28] Speaker B: Well, actually, honestly, we both are about to do a fire thing. If you could just ask about fire. [00:24:33] Speaker E: Anything related to fire. [00:24:34] Speaker C: Is that a question? [00:24:36] Speaker E: It is a question. [00:24:37] Speaker C: There's nothing related to fire. [00:24:39] Speaker E: Okay, that was my question. [00:24:40] Speaker B: That's good to know for us. He's about to go in with a fire weapon. [00:24:43] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:24:44] Speaker B: I'm also about to burn him. [00:24:45] Speaker D: You're about to burn? [00:24:46] Speaker B: Yeah. Both of you. [00:24:47] Speaker E: Oh, both. [00:24:53] Speaker C: All right, that makes it Val's turn. [00:24:56] Speaker B: All right, so first things first. Thank you for your bonus, Alward. Because at the start of Val's turn, she grabs onto her amulets and points at the creature and says, in the name of Pharasma and Shilan, you will be smited down. And I cast Smite on it for one action. So till the start of my next turn, I get a plus 3 bonus to damage. If it has the opposite trait of my holy, which would be unholy, it becomes a plus four instead. [00:25:27] Speaker E: Nice. [00:25:28] Speaker D: I mean, it looks unholy. [00:25:30] Speaker E: It is a demon. [00:25:31] Speaker B: Typically, if it takes a hostile action against me or one of my allies before the start of my next turn, the duration of smite extends. [00:25:39] Speaker E: Oh, that's good. [00:25:40] Speaker B: So, yeah, and then I'm going to burst into flames as my gown below me sets itself aflame, and then I'm gonna launch out 40ft in front of this creature. [00:25:52] Speaker A: Do I have to take a save? [00:25:54] Speaker B: You and the creature. So anyone adjacent to me at any point has to make a DC23 basic reflex save. [00:26:00] Speaker A: So here's a question I have. I have already stated that I had my shield ready. [00:26:08] Speaker B: Does that give you a bonus to reflex? [00:26:10] Speaker A: I did say that I have it raised. It is summer, so it is green. [00:26:16] Speaker B: Because you have your shield that looks like a big old leaf. [00:26:18] Speaker A: And then Resistance 8 because it's raised, which I had it raised. [00:26:22] Speaker C: So you have resistance 8 to fire right now. [00:26:24] Speaker B: Cool. I love it. Give me a reflex save. So it needs. It also needs me KHDC 2023 Reflex. So I'm betting on it having low. [00:26:34] Speaker C: Reflex, but we'll see regular success. [00:26:38] Speaker A: I regularly succeed as well. [00:26:40] Speaker B: All right, so that's gonna be 2d6 fire damage. So 6 divided by 2 would be 3 fire damage to both of you. As part of this, I make a strike plus 18 to hit, plus four because it's an unholy Creature. Creature. [00:26:57] Speaker E: Wait, is it actually unholy? [00:26:59] Speaker B: I do need to know. I do need to know because I'm holy. [00:27:02] Speaker C: And I did go ahead and add the full. [00:27:03] Speaker B: Okay, that's a 30. I imagine crits don't do that. [00:27:07] Speaker C: 30 is a hit. [00:27:08] Speaker B: Yeah, I imagine crits don't even do anything to this thing if it's ooze. Assuming it's got standard ooze resistances. [00:27:14] Speaker C: Yeah, you guys are high enough level you would know. He has the ooze tag, so he's immune to crit hits. [00:27:19] Speaker B: Okay, so that's going to be 16 regular damage plus 3 cold damage. So 19 total. And then she is going to stride with Alward's haste. Two squares back. Actually, it's turns next three squares back in front of Alward. [00:27:42] Speaker C: Val, as your weapon hits this creature, you get the regular damage and the all of the fire damage and everything you were expecting. But then there is also just a flash of light and the thing just cringes back from your blow. [00:27:56] Speaker B: Oh, right. I forgot. Also, all my weapons count as holy. [00:27:59] Speaker C: Yes. [00:28:00] Speaker B: So if it has any weaknesses, as most demons do, as unholy things do, it'll take additional damage for just me existing. [00:28:09] Speaker C: That is correct. It is. Now, as the turn tracker terms it, the horrifying ooze, things turn turned. [00:28:17] Speaker B: Which is a. What, what was his name again? [00:28:19] Speaker C: An Omox. [00:28:19] Speaker B: An Omox. [00:28:23] Speaker C: Should have done that. But he didn't. Oh, well. Oh, well. He missed his chance. So instead he's going to just take his arm and just kind of gouge out a portion of his side and then just hurl it at Val. [00:28:38] Speaker B: Dang it. Surely helping you move. [00:28:40] Speaker C: Get jellied with a 37 to hit. [00:28:45] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:28:46] Speaker C: All right, let me find my dice here. So you take 11 bludgeoning damage and nine acid damage. [00:28:57] Speaker B: All right. All right. [00:28:59] Speaker C: And then I'm going to need a reflex save. [00:29:03] Speaker B: Nah, nah, nah. Reflexes plus 15. And I rolled a 12 on the die, so 27. [00:29:11] Speaker C: So that will be a regular fail, of course. So you're going to have a minus 10 foot circumstance penalty to your speed as this slime is just sticking to you and throwing off your balance. [00:29:25] Speaker B: Fun then. [00:29:28] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:29:31] Speaker D: I don't like the way you're saying that. [00:29:33] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah. [00:29:35] Speaker D: That doesn't help. [00:29:37] Speaker C: Right, right there. Oh, I can't get everybody. Can't get Neros. [00:29:43] Speaker B: No. [00:29:43] Speaker C: I'll puzzle it a little bit forward. There we go. [00:29:45] Speaker B: I don't like your AOE field that you're putting around. [00:29:49] Speaker C: And then The Omax just like, puts his hands together, and then as he pulls them apart, there's just this noxious green cloud of. Of mist that forms in the middle of the room. And it envelops Val, Einar, Zafir, and Alward. And I'm going to need all of you to make a fortitude save. [00:30:09] Speaker B: Hold on, wait. [00:30:11] Speaker C: Oh, excuse me. You don't make the save yet. [00:30:14] Speaker E: Oh, okay. That's nice. [00:30:15] Speaker C: Okay, you'll make this save if you begin your turn in that area. [00:30:19] Speaker E: Oh, so in like three minutes. [00:30:22] Speaker C: Speaking of beginning your turn, Neros, it's your turn. [00:30:25] Speaker D: Okay, hang on. [00:30:27] Speaker B: I really thought I was cool baiting it to like, follow me. And then it didn't even move. [00:30:31] Speaker E: No, you were cool. It's just. It sucks. [00:30:35] Speaker B: That's fair. [00:30:36] Speaker D: Can I see through that cloud? [00:30:38] Speaker C: You can see through it, but anybody in or on the other side of it is concealed. [00:30:45] Speaker D: So can I see Val? [00:30:47] Speaker C: Yeah, but you have to succeed a DC5 flat channel check to target her. [00:30:51] Speaker D: Okay. [00:30:52] Speaker C: It's a 20 missed chance. [00:30:54] Speaker D: Okay. I'm not going into that cloud. [00:30:58] Speaker E: No. Come join us. [00:30:59] Speaker A: It's fun. [00:30:59] Speaker B: Join us, Nero. [00:31:02] Speaker D: Nah, I'm good. I am going to cast something on Valerie. [00:31:10] Speaker E: I'll read using her full name like that. [00:31:14] Speaker D: You want some haste? [00:31:15] Speaker B: I would love some haste. [00:31:18] Speaker D: Oh, you are hasted. Hastened. [00:31:24] Speaker B: Remind me. That just gives me either an extra stride or attack. [00:31:27] Speaker D: Yeah, okay. [00:31:28] Speaker E: Or step. [00:31:29] Speaker D: Merry Christmas. And then what? I have to roll to recall knowledge on this thing or what do you have to roll? [00:31:36] Speaker C: Occultism or religion? [00:31:38] Speaker D: I'm going to recall knowledge using occultism because it's slightly higher. Plus 14, sir. [00:31:45] Speaker C: Plus 14. What would you like to know? You've got one question. [00:31:52] Speaker D: Okay, let's go. Weaknesses. [00:31:55] Speaker C: Weaknesses. So, as you've witnessed with Val hitting with her holy weapon, it does have a weakness to holy being a demon. It also does have a weakness to cold iron. But it also has something particular. Particular that Neros recalls from her studies and hearing about demons. All demons are formed out of some particular sin or vice. And if you do something antithetical to that sin or vice, it causes psychic damage to the demon. So with the Omax being formed out of the sin of defiling and fouling things, anything that is clean or cleanly will cause it psychic damage. So the example given in the stat block, you can cast prestidigitation on this creature and harm it. If you are covered with the ooze and you clean it off of yourself the first time, every round that that happens, it damages the creature. [00:32:49] Speaker E: So, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Can I cast prestidigitation on Val to clean off the slime? [00:32:54] Speaker C: Yes. [00:32:56] Speaker E: Where is my sister with that broom? [00:33:01] Speaker F: Right. [00:33:02] Speaker C: And, Neros, you do have a bonus action that you can use to step or stride. [00:33:06] Speaker D: Oh, I'm gonna stay right there. [00:33:08] Speaker C: Okay. [00:33:08] Speaker D: I got a pretty good vantage point. I'm not coming into that cloud. [00:33:13] Speaker A: Where's that army of flaming brooms that we let out of the closet? [00:33:18] Speaker B: Call them in, summon them, make a. [00:33:20] Speaker A: Portal, but they all burn. A moment for animated brooms to be, like, completely useful. [00:33:28] Speaker D: Can I just start tidying the corner? I'm in. [00:33:31] Speaker B: She pulls out a Clorox wipe. [00:33:33] Speaker C: So it has to be something that cleans it. Or something connected to it. [00:33:38] Speaker D: I was. [00:33:39] Speaker A: I was kidding. [00:33:40] Speaker B: I will pull out a rag and put holy water on it and just start double weakness. [00:33:46] Speaker C: All right, Einar, as you begin. Your turn. I'm going to need a Fortitude save. [00:33:50] Speaker E: Of course you do. [00:33:53] Speaker A: Natural 20 plus 20, which is 40. [00:33:56] Speaker D: Hey. [00:33:57] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. [00:33:59] Speaker C: So you just see that cloud developing, and you just center yourself and stop breathing. You are unaffected by the cloud. You may proceed. [00:34:10] Speaker A: Is that a permanent thing or. [00:34:11] Speaker C: No, it's just a critical success on your save. [00:34:14] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:34:15] Speaker C: However, I will go ahead and let you roll that critical save and allow you to hold your breath, and I'll extend that to anyone else. If you critically succeed that save, you may just hold your breath and be unaffected by the cloud. [00:34:28] Speaker A: IAR is considering something. [00:34:30] Speaker B: Turning into a wolf? [00:34:32] Speaker A: No, actually using the shield. [00:34:34] Speaker B: Oh. [00:34:35] Speaker E: What? [00:34:36] Speaker A: More specifically, I could transform it into the fall, which gives me poison resistance. [00:34:41] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:34:44] Speaker F: Clever girl. [00:34:45] Speaker E: I'm gonna laugh. If this cloud is. [00:34:50] Speaker F: Supposed to be a reference, it's a good reference because. [00:34:53] Speaker D: Ainur is a girl. [00:34:55] Speaker F: I couldn't have said clever guy. [00:34:57] Speaker E: You could have. [00:34:57] Speaker F: It wouldn't have been a reference. [00:34:58] Speaker E: It's fine. Einar is a clever girl. [00:35:00] Speaker B: Clever guy. [00:35:01] Speaker A: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. All right. [00:35:06] Speaker B: You do have a free stride from Jin. [00:35:08] Speaker A: Right? So I'm just going to use that stride. And as he's walking through the cloud and then out of the cloud, I imagine what this monster sees. Because he's. I think he. We're still concealed to him. Possibly, yes. Okay. What he sees is, he sees the poison that he produced just start billowing, and then suddenly, this figure of Einar just materializes out of this. Out of the cloud with his shield up, his sword raised to strike, because he would be pretty much right there. And he sees the poison has no effect, as if it's Just rolling off of him. His shield turning orange as I activate it to give poison resistance. And then the sword sparking with fire and gleaming with cold iron, falls down on top of him. [00:36:08] Speaker B: Oh, nice, nice. [00:36:10] Speaker C: So you've come just around the corner of the wall that the creature was coming around. So you're blocking him off from the rest of the group. [00:36:16] Speaker A: Yes, I am their shield. [00:36:19] Speaker C: All right, go ahead and give me that attack roll for the sword swing. [00:36:24] Speaker A: 29. [00:36:25] Speaker C: That's a hit with a cold iron bastard swing Sword. Flaming bastard sword. [00:36:29] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:30] Speaker A: Cold iron flaming bastard sword. [00:36:32] Speaker E: A striking cold iron flaming. [00:36:36] Speaker C: Plus one. [00:36:39] Speaker A: 19 regular damage from the sword and one fire damage from the rune. [00:36:46] Speaker C: Nice. Yeah, that cuts off a significant chunk of ooze that just falls to the ground and then just sort of loses its way viscosity and just melts into a puddle. That brings us to the end of this round. And we go back to Zafir. [00:37:03] Speaker F: Okay, so unfortunately I can't do a lot during this turn because I can't move to the other side of the ooze. I'm sorry, the cloud. [00:37:13] Speaker C: Before you do that, one thing you can do at the start of your turn is make a fortitude save. [00:37:17] Speaker F: Oh, okay. [00:37:18] Speaker C: Well, I was Omax never forgets. [00:37:23] Speaker F: I don't see this going badly. What's seven plus five? [00:37:27] Speaker B: 12. [00:37:28] Speaker F: Okay. Really? [00:37:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:32] Speaker F: 32. Seven plus. [00:37:39] Speaker E: No, you're right. [00:37:39] Speaker F: 12 plus 20. [00:37:41] Speaker E: Yeah, you're right. [00:37:42] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:37:45] Speaker C: Oh, you got me. Oh, that was good. Okay, that's a regular success. [00:37:51] Speaker E: Gotta love Pathfinder math. [00:37:53] Speaker D: What did you say, Jordy? [00:37:54] Speaker C: That is a regular success. So you take 15 poison damage. [00:38:05] Speaker B: Well, I can't say I like Alward's odds. [00:38:12] Speaker D: Jenkins. Defeat. [00:38:15] Speaker F: You may be able to escape the cloud. [00:38:17] Speaker E: Very resigned. [00:38:19] Speaker F: Yeah. After I take 15 poisons damage, I'm gonna take a step to the east. [00:38:24] Speaker D: Join me. [00:38:25] Speaker F: Just gonna look over at Neros cough a little and then I'm gonna recharge my spell strike. Does that give me two movements left because of the quickened? [00:38:35] Speaker C: Yes. Well, if you. Yes, yes. [00:38:40] Speaker B: I mean, you could spell strike. [00:38:43] Speaker F: I just. I think I have pretty much full cover at this point. [00:38:47] Speaker C: Yeah. Stepping back to where you are now. And with Einar standing there, I would say you can't really land a shot. [00:38:53] Speaker F: Yeah, I'm also not tall enough if I have to see over something. [00:38:59] Speaker D: I could hold you up. [00:39:01] Speaker F: Put me on your shoulder. [00:39:02] Speaker D: You want some uppies? [00:39:04] Speaker F: No, no, no. [00:39:05] Speaker C: Instead of stepping back, you could use that free action to move most of the way through and then get into position for A shot? [00:39:11] Speaker F: Yeah, but then I'd still be in the cloud, and I don't want to. [00:39:15] Speaker E: He's saying you can use two movements to get out of there. One free, one spent. And then recharge your spell shot and then be in position for another action. [00:39:23] Speaker F: You guys are smart. Can I take that back? And do that? [00:39:27] Speaker B: Take it back. [00:39:28] Speaker C: So you move through the poison cloud to the opposite side, to the same side as the creature. And then you move up a little bit north, just around the other junction of the path. [00:39:37] Speaker B: Yes. [00:39:37] Speaker F: At first I didn't think that I could make it all the way through, but forgot that I could move more than once. [00:39:43] Speaker B: You got legs, kid. [00:39:44] Speaker C: You've actually got one extra action left, too. [00:39:47] Speaker B: You can always aid. [00:39:49] Speaker A: You can always just make a regular attack. [00:39:52] Speaker F: Is that a single action? [00:39:54] Speaker A: Regular attack, kids. [00:39:55] Speaker E: Yeah, okay. [00:39:57] Speaker F: Yeah, okay. I'm going to use that last action to just shoot my bow. A boring vanilla bow. [00:40:05] Speaker B: How much I appreciate every time your look of like, happy surprise when we say, you know, attacking is just one action. [00:40:13] Speaker F: It doesn't happen often, but, you know, it's a little thing. [00:40:17] Speaker B: You look so joyful every time you reminded. [00:40:20] Speaker A: Don't forget your half, Marshal. We. We don't take two actions for everything we do. [00:40:26] Speaker D: I feel attacked by Sven right now. [00:40:30] Speaker A: Don't worry, it's only one action. [00:40:32] Speaker F: Does 20 hit? [00:40:33] Speaker C: It does not hit. [00:40:35] Speaker F: Wait, wait. Sorry, I just added the wrong number. [00:40:39] Speaker C: I was about to ask if you rolled a 2 on the dash. [00:40:42] Speaker F: Does 26 hit? [00:40:45] Speaker C: That's a hit. [00:40:45] Speaker F: Okay. I'm not fishing, I promise. I just don't know why I thought that 8 was a 2. I used my red dye for the flaming, so that's nine damage with five. Fire. [00:41:01] Speaker E: Hey, don't you have cold iron arrows? [00:41:04] Speaker F: Do I? [00:41:05] Speaker C: I remember you bought some, but I don't remember how many you bought. [00:41:07] Speaker E: He bought a pouch. [00:41:09] Speaker B: He bought so many. [00:41:10] Speaker C: You guys, this is the first time you've shot your bow since you bought those arrows. [00:41:14] Speaker E: So he has all. [00:41:15] Speaker C: I just don't remember how many you bought. [00:41:17] Speaker E: We'll assume he bought 20, and if it turns out he bought 40, we'll adjust later. [00:41:21] Speaker C: All right, you fired an arrow. I'm presuming it was a cold iron arrow. [00:41:24] Speaker F: That. I mean, if it was the most recent one I bought. I do have 40 arrows in my inventory, so whatever kind they are. [00:41:32] Speaker B: Does this imply that you only use the arrows you most recently bought? [00:41:35] Speaker C: First in, last out. [00:41:36] Speaker F: First time I took Pilo. [00:41:39] Speaker C: Okay, so how much damage did you roll again? [00:41:43] Speaker F: 14.5Of that fire or flaming. [00:41:45] Speaker C: Okay, looking good. [00:41:48] Speaker B: No, that's bad. We want him to look bad. [00:41:51] Speaker C: He does look bad, but he also looks good. [00:41:55] Speaker D: What? [00:41:56] Speaker C: Speaking of looking bad and looking good at the same time. Alward, I'm gonna need a Fortitude safe to see how good you look. [00:42:03] Speaker E: Actually, I'm delaying until after Val, so. No, you don't. [00:42:06] Speaker C: Let me double check something. There are special rules about delaying when you are under duress. [00:42:12] Speaker E: I would assume that delay. [00:42:13] Speaker B: I'm pretty sure he can delay, but he does have to take the save. [00:42:17] Speaker C: That's exactly right. You make your save, and then you may choose to delay. [00:42:20] Speaker E: Okay, I. Unless this thing can deal a lot of damage, I think I'm fine in the cloud. That's a lot better. So I at first rolled a three. I'm not accepting that I'm doing my time shenanigans. And I rolled a natural 20 for. [00:42:38] Speaker B: Drat. [00:42:40] Speaker E: Drat. I wanted to help him. I have my reaction for a 36. [00:42:47] Speaker C: So there's one potential future where Alward failed to see that poison cloud coming and just gets a base full of it. What's your max health? [00:42:56] Speaker E: 78. [00:42:57] Speaker C: Yeah, you would have taken about half of your HP. [00:42:59] Speaker E: Oh, my goodness. [00:43:01] Speaker C: But you eschew that reality and. And instead, you choose the reality where, knowing what's going to happen, you take a nice deep breath before the poison. [00:43:10] Speaker F: Cloud gets there, only to be eaten by dogs later. [00:43:16] Speaker B: Stop using your time stuff. You're getting eaten by dogs. [00:43:18] Speaker E: It's not me getting eaten by dogs. It's another me. It's fine. It's the me that took breath of the poison. [00:43:23] Speaker B: They're going to catch up to you. [00:43:24] Speaker C: So because of that NAT20, you may now hold your breath and remain in the cloud as long as you want with no additional needing to sit and roll. [00:43:31] Speaker E: I want to hold my breath. I just want to take a big one. No, thank you. [00:43:35] Speaker F: A big one. [00:43:36] Speaker E: But no. I am going to delay my turnstile. [00:43:37] Speaker C: Okay. [00:43:38] Speaker B: All right. Starting my turn. 30 on Fortitude meets. [00:43:45] Speaker C: It beats it. [00:43:46] Speaker B: All right? And because I have high dc, I have. What's it called? Sacred body. The power of my deity keeps my body safe from harm. You turn to an edifice of the faith as a great temple. If when you roll success on a Fortitude save, you get a crit success instead. [00:44:06] Speaker C: So I will let you go ahead and keep the. You got to take a deep breath. [00:44:09] Speaker B: So Val is getting surrounded by all of it, grabs onto the amulet and just takes a deep breath of it and just starts walking, running forward like as if it's just not affecting her at all, as, like, it's, like, dissipating inside of her. And she is going to stride over here, 10 spaces to the left of. [00:44:32] Speaker C: The creature, clambering up onto the pile of bones. [00:44:36] Speaker B: And then her glaive starts glowing as a bunch of those crackles, those spheres start, like, flowing off of it. And she swings her glaive down down with divine retribution against this unholy fiend. [00:44:50] Speaker C: Who is still smitten because he attacked you last round. [00:44:54] Speaker B: Oh, I rolled a net one. I have no hero points right now. [00:44:59] Speaker F: Did you make a strike, or what is this? [00:45:01] Speaker B: It's a strike. [00:45:03] Speaker F: So I have a card that says play. When you or an ally are about to make a strike, the target rolls twice and takes a higher damage or higher result. [00:45:09] Speaker E: Nice. What's it called? [00:45:11] Speaker F: Strike True. [00:45:12] Speaker E: Nice. [00:45:14] Speaker C: Technically, you would have to choose to use that before the roll, but I'll allow it. [00:45:18] Speaker F: The strike deals an extra die of damage on a hit if the attacker has fewer than half of their maximum hit points, or two extra dice if they have fewer than one quarter of the maximum hit points. [00:45:27] Speaker B: So it gives you an extra die, which I'm already getting an extra dice. I'll get two extra dice on this attack. That is a plus four to hit. So that's a 40 to hit. That's a hit because we can't crit this guy. So that's gonna be 4D8 plus a D6 of cold. Also because it has the unholy traits. It is enfeebled 2. Oh. It is not a critical hit, though. So it's an enfeebled one. [00:45:51] Speaker A: Right. It's really nice having somebody specializing against undead demons fighting an undead demon. That's an ooze demon or ooze demon. [00:45:59] Speaker E: Yeah. Clerics in an undead campaign. Shrek. [00:46:05] Speaker B: Shrek. [00:46:05] Speaker A: Shrek. [00:46:06] Speaker E: Shrek. They are Shrek. [00:46:08] Speaker F: Okay. [00:46:09] Speaker C: What are you doing? And my material plays. [00:46:15] Speaker E: It's a portmanteau between Wreck and Shred. [00:46:19] Speaker B: The total is 34 damage. That's counting the D6 of cold. [00:46:25] Speaker C: Wow. [00:46:26] Speaker E: Wow. [00:46:27] Speaker B: Plus on my holy weapon Wood markets weakness. [00:46:31] Speaker C: And with that, he is oozed because he has no blood. [00:46:37] Speaker A: Oh. [00:46:38] Speaker D: Oh, okay. [00:46:39] Speaker C: He's not bloodied. [00:46:40] Speaker D: I see what you did there. [00:46:41] Speaker B: There's no blood. He must be dead. [00:46:42] Speaker A: I see what you did there. [00:46:44] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah. So then I will do one more attack with the haste attack at a minus volt, 5. 33. [00:46:54] Speaker C: That's a hit. [00:46:55] Speaker B: All right. And I have forceful, which means I do an extra damage. Equal to my weapon dice. So I do two extra damage. [00:47:02] Speaker D: Jenkins, are you good, buddy? [00:47:04] Speaker E: I'll discuss it on my turn. [00:47:05] Speaker D: Okay. [00:47:07] Speaker C: Foreshadowing. [00:47:09] Speaker B: 23 points of slashing damage. [00:47:12] Speaker C: Nice. [00:47:12] Speaker B: And five cold. Well, total. Total of slashing and cold. [00:47:17] Speaker C: That is really good. [00:47:17] Speaker B: Again. Holy weapon. [00:47:19] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, he's not doing good. [00:47:21] Speaker B: So she's just standing there, and she's like, fa. You unholy, faint halward. [00:47:27] Speaker C: Would you like to resume? [00:47:28] Speaker E: I would like to resume. Hey, Jordy. [00:47:30] Speaker C: Yeah? [00:47:30] Speaker E: So you know how it said you lose two turns of breath if you cast a spell? And that's because most spells have the verbal component which requires you to speak. I don't have to do that. [00:47:41] Speaker C: That's right. [00:47:42] Speaker E: So I don't do that. [00:47:44] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:47:44] Speaker E: So I can just kind of chill in this cloud if I wanted to. [00:47:47] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, I like that. [00:47:49] Speaker F: I don't think you should, though, concealment. [00:47:51] Speaker B: Unless you have the. Unless you use the anti Concealment stuff, so. [00:47:54] Speaker E: Well, I guess. Yeah, because it's. You're still targeting something. I just thought of that, though, and I was like, oh, hey. [00:47:59] Speaker C: Yeah, it's fun. [00:48:02] Speaker E: You didn't do what I wanted you to do, Sam. [00:48:04] Speaker B: What you want me to do. [00:48:05] Speaker E: I wanted you to be right up on him. [00:48:07] Speaker B: I have a gl. [00:48:09] Speaker E: So you can stop him from moving. [00:48:12] Speaker B: I don't do that. I don't have a. I'm pretty sure. [00:48:15] Speaker E: I can stop him from that. [00:48:16] Speaker F: All right, y' all stop talking about what you could have done and talk. [00:48:19] Speaker E: About what you're gonna do anyway. I'm still gonna do what I'm gonna do, if you can believe it, which is move next to Zafir. [00:48:28] Speaker B: A buddy. [00:48:30] Speaker F: Hey, buddy, I'm just gonna grab the corner and just do a neat spin. High five me as he gets over there. [00:48:37] Speaker E: I. Yes, I will. I will give Zafir a high five as a free action, and then I'm going to cast Agitate at a fourth level. But I don't like how you're looking at me like that. [00:48:51] Speaker B: It looks like he was happy with your choice. [00:48:53] Speaker E: When he's happy, it's a bad thing. [00:48:56] Speaker B: No, like, it looked like a. Wow. That was a good choice. [00:48:58] Speaker C: Well, you made me sad. Are you happy? [00:49:01] Speaker E: Yes. But I'm going to cast Agitate at a level four and then turn in this hero point called Stoke the Magical Flame, which allows me to basically cast it as a level five for free. [00:49:15] Speaker C: Nice. [00:49:17] Speaker E: And they need to make a will save. [00:49:19] Speaker F: Ooh, they. [00:49:21] Speaker E: It's a goop. [00:49:22] Speaker C: What was your DC again? [00:49:24] Speaker E: I'm not gonna tell you. 28. [00:49:27] Speaker C: That's a regular failure. [00:49:31] Speaker D: Jenkins looks so happy. [00:49:32] Speaker A: The look of glory that has just sprouted on Jenkins face. [00:49:38] Speaker D: Ah, he's a happy boy. [00:49:39] Speaker A: Oh, a happy caster has been born. [00:49:42] Speaker E: If it doesn't make any action to move in the next two rounds, it will take 10D8 mental damage at the end of its turn. And that is my turn. [00:49:53] Speaker C: Next two turns. It's got to make an action to. [00:49:56] Speaker E: I mean, it doesn't have to. [00:49:59] Speaker A: Okay, that will be fun. [00:50:02] Speaker C: So on the horrifying ooze, things turn. [00:50:05] Speaker A: On the Omax's turn, don't move. Or do. [00:50:09] Speaker C: To quote a personality, a couple of things are gonna happen. So when you cast this toxic cloud spell, things happen and it does stuff. Except there's a little interesting little clause in there. It's says this functions as mist, except the area moves 10ft away from you each round. So this cloud starts meandering down the hallway. [00:50:33] Speaker E: I was so safe. I was safe. No one's safe from the cloud. [00:50:39] Speaker B: I just realized I could have said something because I knew this the whole. [00:50:43] Speaker D: Time, but you could have saved me. [00:50:46] Speaker B: Were you gonna run into the cloud? [00:50:48] Speaker D: No, I was just gonna stay there. [00:50:51] Speaker E: I don't like how this could be flavored. As he farted. [00:50:56] Speaker D: The ooze farted. [00:50:57] Speaker F: Fan it away. Fan it away. [00:50:58] Speaker E: He is shrimp. [00:50:59] Speaker F: Smell it. [00:51:01] Speaker C: Proud of the effects of his 10 foot per round traveling fart cloud, the Omoks will now swipe with a slime tendril at Einar. All right, what is your AC? Einar 27 just barely hits. [00:51:20] Speaker B: But wait, there's more. A glimpse of redemption. [00:51:24] Speaker C: I don't want to be redeemed. [00:51:25] Speaker B: Does it want to repent or refuse? [00:51:27] Speaker C: I want to refuse. [00:51:29] Speaker B: All right. That means Einar gets resistance of 2, plus our level. So 11 total resistance to damage. The creature is enfeebled too, and now takes Princess persistent spirit damage equal to my charisma modifier, which is four. [00:51:44] Speaker E: He's just not having a good day. [00:51:47] Speaker C: So he defies this glimpse of redemption. He does not want redeemed. He wants to hit Einar with a slime tendril. So he swings out with 16 bludgeoning damage, minus 11 and 9 acid damage. Now, you could could not benefit from the minus 11 on both of those. [00:52:08] Speaker A: It's 14 damage. [00:52:09] Speaker B: Yeah, this is minus 11 for the total. [00:52:11] Speaker C: Yeah, with his second action, he has the grab trait on his tendril. So he's gonna try to grab Einar. [00:52:21] Speaker B: Oh, is that why it's got a sword sticking out of It. It grabs a dude and pulls it onto the. [00:52:25] Speaker E: That's what I said. [00:52:26] Speaker C: 21. [00:52:27] Speaker A: Guessing that doesn't match. 27. [00:52:30] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:52:31] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:52:37] Speaker D: I think it's gonna be okay. [00:52:39] Speaker C: He's gonna try again. [00:52:41] Speaker E: Okay. [00:52:41] Speaker C: He's a determined little fella, but he ain't gonna move. Nope, he's not moving. He's grabbing. [00:52:48] Speaker A: Cake. [00:52:49] Speaker D: Just starts rolling a ton of dice. [00:52:52] Speaker C: I need two more 29 to grab. [00:52:55] Speaker B: Minus two, enfeebled two. [00:52:57] Speaker C: Ah, yes, that is. That is calculated. [00:52:58] Speaker B: Okay. [00:52:59] Speaker A: Okay. [00:52:59] Speaker B: That's really high. [00:53:01] Speaker A: Well, yeah, that hit that. That grabs me. [00:53:04] Speaker C: All right, you are grabbed. [00:53:05] Speaker E: Yay. [00:53:06] Speaker C: Didn't have the last action left. [00:53:08] Speaker B: That means he would have rolled a 36 normally. That's crazy. [00:53:13] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:14] Speaker B: Oh, well, I mean, that's about what we do. [00:53:16] Speaker C: His turn is ending. [00:53:18] Speaker A: Yay. Oh, Jacob. [00:53:20] Speaker C: Oh, it's not a roll. It's just a flat four, right? [00:53:22] Speaker D: Oh, he calculates. [00:53:24] Speaker B: Plus, I guess it would trigger the holy weakness as well. [00:53:27] Speaker C: And he. Since he's agitated. He's agitated. He didn't get to grab you and do the thing he wanted to do after grabbing you. He's gonna take some non lethal damage. [00:53:36] Speaker B: Are oozes of you non lethal? [00:53:38] Speaker E: Probably, but I feel happy about it. [00:53:40] Speaker C: I mean, maybe oozes are. [00:53:41] Speaker E: This guy's not 40 damage of psychic. [00:53:44] Speaker C: And he takes 40 damage. He is not looking good. [00:53:48] Speaker E: Yay. 40 damage. [00:53:50] Speaker C: Einar, as he takes that 40 damage, you sense a flicker of hesitation from him. Neros, it's your turn. I'm gonna need a fortitude save as this fart cloud makes its way into your vicinity. [00:54:10] Speaker D: 31, that's a success. [00:54:15] Speaker C: So you take hit me eight poison damage. [00:54:19] Speaker E: Oh, that's not bad. [00:54:20] Speaker C: Well, dang, I rolled really low on that. [00:54:24] Speaker E: Good. [00:54:24] Speaker A: Okay, I'd make the suggestion that you get out of there. [00:54:29] Speaker D: Thank you for your suggestion that I was going to do. Regardless of what anyone else said, I. [00:54:36] Speaker F: Think Nero should leave, get out of their danger. [00:54:39] Speaker D: So I can I make it out of the fart cloud if I run into the room? [00:54:44] Speaker C: What's your movement? [00:54:46] Speaker D: 25. [00:54:47] Speaker C: All right, so this is a single action. Can get you about 10ft away from the edge of the cloud. [00:54:53] Speaker D: I'll use a second action to get out of it. You happy? [00:54:57] Speaker C: Yes. [00:54:58] Speaker A: Whatever you do, don't light a match while you're inside. [00:55:01] Speaker C: Where would you like to end up with that second move? [00:55:04] Speaker D: I would like to be southwest of Zafir here. Directly southwest. Catty corner to him. If I put my arm out, I could touch him on your head or something. I don't know. [00:55:14] Speaker C: So just to repaint the picture of this room, it was kind of broken apart with partial walls. So there's like a 15 foot gap in the middle of the room with these partitions. The party has now moved past that first portion, ushered in by the fart cloud. And they're now all on the far side of the those partitions clustered around. Having the Omox cornered on his bone. [00:55:37] Speaker D: Pile on the south, I was gonna cast haste on Einar, but now I can't. [00:55:42] Speaker A: Thanks to the actions of our gm, the walls are now a nice chartreuse color. You repainted the room. [00:55:52] Speaker E: It's very calming. [00:55:53] Speaker D: No, it's not. It's eerie. And I hate it. Fish love it. Anyway, I'll go into that story later. [00:56:03] Speaker F: Okay. [00:56:04] Speaker B: Wait, there's a story. [00:56:05] Speaker C: You got one action left. Neros. [00:56:07] Speaker D: For my last action, I will tell the story of why fish like the color chartreuse. [00:56:11] Speaker E: You can bore him. The action. [00:56:15] Speaker D: I am just going to stand there. [00:56:18] Speaker F: That's what I was going to say. [00:56:19] Speaker E: And look fabulous. [00:56:20] Speaker D: Yep. [00:56:21] Speaker C: Looking fabulous is a free action. Fabulous. [00:56:24] Speaker A: Although everyone got to use your other action. [00:56:26] Speaker F: Not everyone can do that action. [00:56:28] Speaker D: Because I have something that I could do that if they fail, they can't use reactions until the end of my next turn. [00:56:36] Speaker A: I mean, that would be useful regardless. [00:56:39] Speaker E: I mean. [00:56:40] Speaker D: And it's a single action. [00:56:42] Speaker E: Yeah, go for it. Just do it. [00:56:44] Speaker D: Okay. I've never used it before, so. Because I keep forgetting I have it, so why not? It's a feat called statement. Strut. [00:56:53] Speaker C: I like it. [00:56:55] Speaker F: Make a statement. [00:56:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:56:56] Speaker E: He is gonna stand there fabulously. [00:56:59] Speaker D: You have an eye for fashion. It's because I'm a dandy, guys. [00:57:04] Speaker E: I forgot you were a dandy. [00:57:06] Speaker A: You are a D and know how. [00:57:08] Speaker D: To sell attitude and confidence with your walk. [00:57:10] Speaker A: You are a dandy's dandy. [00:57:12] Speaker D: You stride up to your speed. All enemies within 30ft of your movement are enraptured by your performance. They must succeed at a will saving throw or become unable to use reactions until the end of your next turn. [00:57:25] Speaker C: That's amazing. [00:57:26] Speaker E: I loved that. [00:57:27] Speaker C: That's amazing. [00:57:28] Speaker D: What's your DC27? [00:57:32] Speaker E: Nice. [00:57:33] Speaker C: That's a fail. [00:57:34] Speaker D: Yes. [00:57:35] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:57:38] Speaker D: So she just walks out of the fart cloud with the sassiest walk this ooze Omox thing has ever witnessed in his unholy life. [00:57:53] Speaker F: Gassy and sassy. [00:58:00] Speaker D: She walks over southwest of Zafir and she stands there, snaps her finger and just stares at it. [00:58:12] Speaker E: The raw power. [00:58:15] Speaker A: I don't know how to React to that. [00:58:19] Speaker D: No one has ever challenged him like this before. [00:58:24] Speaker C: I don't know how to react at all. [00:58:27] Speaker D: She is in control of this room. As you were. Aynar. I believe it is your turn. [00:58:35] Speaker E: So. Oh. Do that more often. [00:58:42] Speaker D: I forgot I had it. [00:58:44] Speaker F: Now I want to look at my feet. [00:58:47] Speaker B: Never forget the archetypes. Never forget the archetypes. [00:58:51] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. [00:58:57] Speaker E: Kill this thing, Aydar. [00:58:59] Speaker C: It does have a tendril wrapped around you. [00:59:01] Speaker A: Oh, I'm breaking free of that. [00:59:04] Speaker D: I'm breaking free. [00:59:05] Speaker E: Soaring. [00:59:07] Speaker A: What do I gotta do to break that? [00:59:09] Speaker C: You can make an acrobatics athletics or an unarmed attack. [00:59:13] Speaker A: Roll one. A hundred percent. Using athletics. [00:59:17] Speaker C: Is that better than your unarmed attack? [00:59:20] Speaker E: Yes. [00:59:20] Speaker B: Is he just gonna flex out of this thing? [00:59:23] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:59:24] Speaker A: I have plus 22 in athletics. [00:59:26] Speaker C: Nice. Nice. [00:59:27] Speaker A: My unarmed is just 21. [00:59:29] Speaker B: I like it. [00:59:30] Speaker A: So that will be a 27. I rolled a five. [00:59:36] Speaker C: That's not a success. What? [00:59:38] Speaker B: Oh, no. [00:59:39] Speaker E: Gasp. [00:59:41] Speaker A: Do I only get one one time to do that? [00:59:43] Speaker C: No, but six continued attempts would take your map. Yeah. [00:59:48] Speaker B: So minus five every additional attempt. [00:59:50] Speaker A: Well, then I. I fail again because I rolled a seven. [00:59:53] Speaker E: I mean, you could. You could use one of those. [00:59:55] Speaker A: Oh, I could do that. [00:59:56] Speaker E: Before you. Before you let Jordy say you failed. Hurry. He's fine. [01:00:01] Speaker A: Okay, Fine. I use that. [01:00:04] Speaker D: He was ready. [01:00:06] Speaker B: Just to be clear, he spent a hero point. [01:00:07] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [01:00:12] Speaker A: Okay. That's much better. [01:00:13] Speaker B: Ah, fabulous. [01:00:15] Speaker A: That will be a 31. [01:00:18] Speaker C: That's a success. [01:00:19] Speaker E: Okay, good. [01:00:20] Speaker C: So he's got that tendril wrapped around you, and you try and like break free at first. And he holds a little bit tighter than you were expecting. So then you just flex and just shred the tendril off. And you have one action remaining. [01:00:33] Speaker A: Then I will attack. [01:00:34] Speaker C: This will be with a minus 10. Because you've used two attack actions. [01:00:38] Speaker A: What else am I going to do? [01:00:39] Speaker E: Sing? [01:00:41] Speaker D: You could walk away. [01:00:42] Speaker A: Einar breaks into an aria. I mean, that's a free action. [01:00:46] Speaker D: It's his death aria. [01:00:49] Speaker A: You are going to die. Prepare. [01:00:54] Speaker E: Who knew I could sing? [01:00:57] Speaker F: He can't. That was fun. [01:00:59] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, that's fair. [01:01:01] Speaker A: 21 hit. No, I rolled a 10. [01:01:09] Speaker D: He sounded so sweet when he said that. [01:01:12] Speaker C: No, no. [01:01:13] Speaker E: You gotta let him down easy. [01:01:16] Speaker A: Okay, that's it. [01:01:18] Speaker C: All right. [01:01:19] Speaker F: Zafir, how's this guy looking? This thing looking? [01:01:23] Speaker C: He looks like he wants to talk. [01:01:28] Speaker D: What? [01:01:28] Speaker B: Really? [01:01:30] Speaker C: He's really beat up. He's losing his structural integrity and he looks like he wants to talk. [01:01:35] Speaker E: Don't listen to it, Zafir. Don't listen to the one Language. It knows that, you know. [01:01:41] Speaker F: Well, I recharged my spell strike for a reason, so. [01:01:48] Speaker C: It'D be a shame to let that go to waste. [01:01:51] Speaker A: Kill it with fire. [01:01:53] Speaker B: I can tell you everything you want to know. Yeah, but I just recharged my spell stick. [01:01:57] Speaker F: You wanted to use it. [01:01:58] Speaker E: Set this. [01:01:59] Speaker A: Ah, man, I'm sorry, but no. [01:02:03] Speaker E: If he survives Val, you could talk to him. [01:02:04] Speaker B: I'm gonna kill this thing. [01:02:06] Speaker A: It's not. It's not living past. [01:02:09] Speaker E: I can talk to it. [01:02:11] Speaker F: All right. Oh, wait. Maybe I should roll the hit first. [01:02:13] Speaker E: I know. That's why I said. [01:02:17] Speaker F: What'S 8 plus 3? 11, 20. That's 31. [01:02:22] Speaker C: That's it. [01:02:24] Speaker E: Sorry. [01:02:24] Speaker F: It's the numbers that round up to another 10 that I can't figure out. [01:02:29] Speaker E: I always end up adding an additional 10. [01:02:32] Speaker F: Oh, that's not as good. Good? I mean, it's great, but it's not as good. 11, 1. Flaming. Where did my D4s go? So that's 12. Oh, mostly ones. [01:02:47] Speaker E: You got a couple fours and threes. [01:02:49] Speaker F: That's 11 4, 1 3. 1 2, 3 ones. Did you catch all that? [01:02:55] Speaker C: Hmm. [01:02:55] Speaker F: Can you do that math, Jordy? [01:02:58] Speaker C: 12? [01:02:58] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:02:59] Speaker F: I don't know. It's a 12 for 12. [01:03:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:03:02] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:03:03] Speaker F: So 24. [01:03:04] Speaker C: He takes it. [01:03:05] Speaker F: I love this game. [01:03:08] Speaker C: It's the meth game. [01:03:10] Speaker D: It is the math. [01:03:11] Speaker A: How to practice your mental math. Play D and D and Pathfinder. [01:03:14] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [01:03:14] Speaker A: Any tabletop game. [01:03:15] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [01:03:16] Speaker A: Dice. [01:03:16] Speaker F: Or just ask somebody else. [01:03:19] Speaker C: He's not looking good. But you've got one action left. [01:03:21] Speaker D: He's been not looking good for the past 15 minutes. [01:03:24] Speaker C: Well, he never looked very, very good. [01:03:27] Speaker F: You know what? [01:03:28] Speaker A: He looks more Uzi than normal. [01:03:30] Speaker C: I'll put it this way. He has less health than Albert. [01:03:34] Speaker F: I. I'm going to spare him and message him and say. You look like you want to talk. What do you want to say? [01:03:43] Speaker C: I was tasked with removing the flesh from his bones, but I was also tasked with any valuables that were found on the bodies to place them somewhere safe. I can tell you where they are. [01:03:58] Speaker F: I can't message again, so I think it's Val's turn. [01:04:05] Speaker E: Mess this guy up. [01:04:09] Speaker A: I'm gonna spare him. [01:04:11] Speaker E: What do you know? I'll tell you everything. Val. [01:04:15] Speaker D: That is amazing. [01:04:16] Speaker A: I love that. There's no back and forth. It's just forward, back. [01:04:20] Speaker D: Okay, you. [01:04:21] Speaker F: Like I said, he can respond, but I can't message him back. [01:04:24] Speaker D: That's beautiful. You heard him. Mess this guy up, Val. [01:04:31] Speaker B: All right. The Glade begins to glow. The Crackles start coming off of it and she's like, return to your home plane, fiend, and we'll just swing down to find retribution. Owie. Right. Smite 30. [01:04:52] Speaker C: That's a hit. [01:04:53] Speaker A: Don't forget, he's in feeble too. [01:04:55] Speaker B: He doesn't mess with Ace either. [01:04:57] Speaker C: I'm a strong, healthy boy. [01:04:59] Speaker E: You were never a healthy boy. [01:05:02] Speaker B: 24 damage. [01:05:04] Speaker C: All right. And that your smite bonus is still active. He is not dead yet. But as your glaive cuts through him and start slicing through him, the ooze around the blade starts solidifying. And then he tries to wrench his shoulder back and pull the glaive out of your hand. [01:05:23] Speaker E: Excuse you, except. [01:05:24] Speaker D: Is that a reaction? [01:05:26] Speaker C: This would have been a reaction. He's too distracted. He doesn't know how to react. [01:05:30] Speaker B: He has to be grabbing at this. Make eye contact with it, and it just goes, oh, I just died in your heart. Just that legal Batman cue. It's so funny. [01:05:41] Speaker C: I. I can't believe that Abby was like, no reactions. And I was like, that reminds me. I should use a reaction on his turn. [01:05:47] Speaker B: Whoa. [01:05:48] Speaker C: So he does not stop your glaive, and it slices cleanly through him. [01:05:53] Speaker B: Then she will slice again. Minus 5. 25. [01:05:59] Speaker C: That's a hit. [01:06:02] Speaker B: Can you believe this? My damage? I roll a one on all of them. [01:06:07] Speaker D: Absolutely. [01:06:08] Speaker B: That's three plus 15. [01:06:12] Speaker C: Believe it or not, he's still up. [01:06:14] Speaker B: And then for my next pick, how. [01:06:17] Speaker D: Close was he to actually die? [01:06:19] Speaker E: Well, he had at least 78 health. [01:06:22] Speaker B: I leave this embedded in it, and one of my hands that's on it goes out to touch this thing. Will it make a dc Save for me? [01:06:30] Speaker C: I don't believe that you can touch him from 10ft away. [01:06:33] Speaker E: You can't see? You should have been where I wanted you to be. [01:06:35] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I'll take a step and then I'll touch it. [01:06:39] Speaker C: So you hit it with the glaive, and you just slide down the hilt of the glaive. [01:06:43] Speaker B: Oh, wait, hold on. Stop everything. That only works on undead. I thought it was unholy. So I can't. Oh, I can't do that at all. [01:06:50] Speaker C: So you slide back up. [01:06:54] Speaker B: Slide. [01:06:56] Speaker E: You have two attack actions left. If you want, because of the quickened. [01:07:00] Speaker B: I could give it a crisis of faith. [01:07:04] Speaker D: Does it have a faith? [01:07:05] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, it's unholy. That means it has a faith of some sort. [01:07:09] Speaker C: I believe in dirt. [01:07:13] Speaker D: In dirt and filth. [01:07:16] Speaker B: I will just do an attack at minus 10. Oh. 26 to hit. Yeah, I rolled an 18. [01:07:26] Speaker E: There you go kill this thing. [01:07:29] Speaker B: 26 damage. [01:07:30] Speaker C: So, Val, Zafir shoots him and he's like, wait, I can tell you where the treasure is. Zafir's like, mess this guy up, Val. Just hack, slash, slash. The rest of the remaining ooze just dissipates onto the floor in a puddle of green filth. [01:07:49] Speaker E: I'm going to turn to Zafir. So what did you ask him? [01:07:53] Speaker F: I didn't really ask him much. I just did what he wanted to say. [01:07:56] Speaker E: Oh, what'd he say? [01:07:57] Speaker F: There's treasure somewhere. [01:07:59] Speaker E: Oh, why did he think that would save him? [01:08:01] Speaker F: I don't know, but I'm gonna look for the treasure real quick. Just give me a few seconds. [01:08:07] Speaker C: So, yeah, a sweep of the room. There doesn't appear to be anything in this room where you think that there might be treasure. It's just bones and bones. Bones that still haven't been cleaned off yet. [01:08:21] Speaker F: They never will be. [01:08:23] Speaker C: How. How far afield are you looking? Just in this room, or just where we. [01:08:27] Speaker F: Where we journey to? I mean, we've got up and down. I mean, north and south. [01:08:33] Speaker A: Einar. You just hear a ripping of cloth and anyone turns and you see Einar just wrapping the area where that. [01:08:42] Speaker E: Ooh. [01:08:42] Speaker A: Had grabbed him and burned him. He's not healing right, but he's just wrapping it up. [01:08:48] Speaker B: Do you need any help, Einar? [01:08:50] Speaker A: Maybe later. [01:08:51] Speaker B: Oh, okay. I could always top you off. [01:08:54] Speaker A: Save your magic for when we need it. [01:08:57] Speaker B: All right. [01:08:58] Speaker A: But thank you. [01:09:00] Speaker F: Zavir's gonna poke his head north. [01:09:04] Speaker B: I. I do think. [01:09:05] Speaker F: His whole head. [01:09:05] Speaker B: I do think we should check out. We should go north first. First. So. [01:09:10] Speaker C: And Zafir, as you poke your head into the north, you see on the opposite side of the room, two massive, steel banded treasure chests. And that's where we'll end this episode. [01:09:23] Speaker F: I found the treasure. [01:09:24] Speaker E: Wait, was he just going to tell us to look north? [01:09:27] Speaker B: Wait, look behind you. There is treasure. [01:09:31] Speaker A: Oh, that's kind of makes sense. [01:09:33] Speaker C: All right. And the hero point for this episode is going to go to Sam. It's always a treat to see a cleric or a champion smacking down on something unholy. There were a lot of fun abilities that came to play, and some of them, we didn't get to quite see them. But it was still fun talking about them and imagining what it would have been if the economy, the action economy had been there. [01:09:53] Speaker B: I'm a mess. [01:09:55] Speaker F: It's okay. [01:09:56] Speaker B: I'm going to go clean up my act. [01:10:00] Speaker A: Don't use that ooze. All right? [01:10:04] Speaker C: And we'll go ahead and call it off here. Anybody who's in the audience, if you want to jump into the socials, let us know your thoughts. Some let us know what you think might be in these treasure chests and what bargaining power that ooze thought he might have. [01:10:16] Speaker E: I think it's more farts. [01:10:18] Speaker F: I think it's. It's a mimic. [01:10:20] Speaker A: It's a mimic. [01:10:21] Speaker C: They're both mimics. [01:10:22] Speaker D: I swear, if it's a mimic, I am rage quitting now, we'd be able. [01:10:26] Speaker E: To kill it pretty fast. [01:10:27] Speaker D: I am rage quitting and we'll see. [01:11:30] Speaker D: It's been some combination of orange and yellow.
