[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part, such as, like, comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:32] Speaker B: Now, where did we leave off? [00:00:36] Speaker C: Ah, yes. [00:00:39] Speaker B: Val and Neros secretly summoned the psychopomp corvus to ask about her parents. He seemed unable to speak freely of the matter, but confirmed he was holding on to the soul of. Of Neros departed mother. When Neros asked about her father, Corvus advised her to help. Uwe, remember. [00:01:11] Speaker D: Red Bull, to me, smells and tastes. Not smells, but tastes like mothballs. [00:01:18] Speaker A: Interesting. [00:01:19] Speaker C: Really? [00:01:19] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:01:20] Speaker E: The very first Red Bull I ever had, I drank it in less than 3 seconds because we were in a group right before a theater show, and we were like, let's do a Red Bull chug. And, you know, a group of, like, seven or eight of us guys just downed a Red Bull. And that was the first Red Bull I ever had. [00:01:36] Speaker A: Cool. [00:01:36] Speaker C: You're the first Red Bull I've ever had. [00:01:38] Speaker D: I don't remember. [00:01:39] Speaker A: He hasn't gone to sleep since. [00:01:40] Speaker E: But I remember if I liked it because it was 3 seconds. [00:01:43] Speaker D: It's gross, honestly. Like, Red Bull, in my opinion, is disgusting. [00:01:47] Speaker C: I like it. [00:01:48] Speaker D: It is meant to be mixed with other things. [00:01:51] Speaker E: I'll tell you what's great. [00:01:52] Speaker A: The. The dragon fruit Red Bull is pretty good. [00:01:54] Speaker E: G fuel is delicious. [00:01:57] Speaker D: Petite. We're not sponsors. [00:01:59] Speaker A: We're not sponsored by G Fuel. [00:02:00] Speaker E: This specific flavor is actually the flavor for Rebel Moon, the new, I guess, Netflix show. [00:02:06] Speaker C: It's the new realm. [00:02:09] Speaker D: I need to point out how you reached over and grabbed your sponsored G, like your branded G fuel cup, and held it up as though you were presenting it to sell us. [00:02:21] Speaker F: He does this every time, Jenkins. [00:02:24] Speaker D: I just noticed. [00:02:25] Speaker C: Calm down. [00:02:26] Speaker E: How much I love G fuel. [00:02:27] Speaker C: Calm down. [00:02:29] Speaker E: It's almost an addiction. [00:02:30] Speaker F: Faze energy coming to you, to a theater near you. [00:02:36] Speaker A: To a theater near you. [00:02:37] Speaker D: Why are we so faze energy in a theater? [00:02:39] Speaker C: People order drinks in theaters. [00:02:42] Speaker F: I wouldn't order an editor watching the note. [00:02:46] Speaker E: It'll be just buzzing. [00:02:47] Speaker C: It's for one of those showings that lets you talk during the movie that have those. [00:02:53] Speaker E: I don't want to go to that place. [00:02:55] Speaker C: It actually was pretty chill. I went to. We saw Barbie on accident. It was like a. [00:02:59] Speaker A: It was. [00:03:00] Speaker C: No, sorry. [00:03:01] Speaker E: I heard of Barbie on ice, but not Barbie on accident. [00:03:04] Speaker C: No, I stumbled. We went to see Barbie, and on accident, we went to the special showings that have less sensory input, so you're allowed to, like, talk and whisper to each other and kind of do things during the movie, and it was actually pretty chill. Like, some people were kind of talking a little bit, but, like, didn't interrupt it, and everyone was respectful about it. It was pretty chill. They were more respectful about it in that than the regular showings can be. [00:03:33] Speaker D: I absolutely. [00:03:34] Speaker C: Well, it's because less people go to them, and when they go there, they understand why they're there. [00:03:40] Speaker D: I cannot watch a movie without talking about it. [00:03:44] Speaker C: I know. [00:03:48] Speaker D: I remember. [00:03:49] Speaker C: Is that where I sat during D and D on purpose? There is a certain. There is a half. Over half of that group were talking during the movie, and I sat away from all of them. [00:04:01] Speaker F: I was not. [00:04:02] Speaker E: I hate when people talk during movies, but I love talking to people. [00:04:06] Speaker C: I don't mind it. Like, if we're at home and, like, chilling out as a group watching a movie, that's okay. If I'm at the theater, you better shut up, or I'll call the manager on you and kick you out. [00:04:18] Speaker F: Never, ever, ever watch a movie with me. If I have seen it over ten times. [00:04:22] Speaker E: Oh, place the a with the. [00:04:25] Speaker F: I will shut up. I will sit there, and I will. I will quote it the entire time. [00:04:32] Speaker D: Like, I have a, like, visceral memory of watching, like, one of the newer mad. Mad. Visceral, I guess, isn't the right word, but it's a prominent memory in my mind watching one of the Mad Max movies. [00:04:45] Speaker A: Oh, it's Mad Max. So it probably was visceral. [00:04:49] Speaker D: Like, just, like, being, like, not confused, but, like, pointing out, like, plot inconsistencies. First time I watched it, just watching the movie, and I got told by somebody in the room to shut up and enjoy the movie very sternly. And I just was like, I feel like I want to leave now, but. [00:05:07] Speaker E: I can't make a bad movie be like, enjoy the movie, enjoy the movie. Here's your take. [00:05:12] Speaker D: I am enjoying the movie. [00:05:14] Speaker C: Why are you telling me it's a special kind of time to hang out and watch a movie that everyone's seen more than ten times? [00:05:20] Speaker E: Whenever I watch a movie that I've seen a million times, I don't quote it. I just mouth it. [00:05:24] Speaker F: I quote it. [00:05:25] Speaker E: And that what gets my wife just so frustrated because she can hear I. [00:05:31] Speaker D: The sacred mouth, especially during musicals. [00:05:34] Speaker C: Dude, I love it. I've already seen teenage ninja turtles mutant mayhem more than ten times. I own it. It's so good. Olivia's like, no, stop. I don't want to watch it. And I'm like, I do I will hyper focus on this movie? Let me see. [00:05:51] Speaker B: Speaking of hyper focusing, are you guys ready to jump back in? [00:05:54] Speaker F: No. [00:05:55] Speaker D: I mean, I am, but I don't know what happened last session. [00:05:57] Speaker E: Please don't put my mouth noises in an episode. [00:06:00] Speaker A: Oh, they're going in there. [00:06:01] Speaker F: They're going in there, bud. Episode 60 featuring Michael Petite's mouth noises. [00:06:07] Speaker E: Episode 60.1 is just the mouth noise. [00:06:11] Speaker C: Okay, so that means we need the title, and then we need an Ft. Michael's mouth noise warning at the beginning. [00:06:20] Speaker D: The title should just be episode 60 featuring Michael Petit's mouth noises, where he. [00:06:29] Speaker A: Mouths along to all the characters. [00:06:30] Speaker D: I would love to see the drop in listeners on the graph when this episode comes. [00:06:36] Speaker E: No, it'd be right. [00:06:41] Speaker D: We'd get that crowd. I don't want to pander to that crowd. So you had a great cutaway. We robbed it from you. [00:06:53] Speaker E: It wasn't supposed to exist. Regardless if it was good or not, it's. [00:07:02] Speaker B: It's not ours to choose what to do with the banters we are killing. [00:07:08] Speaker C: Speaking of a great crowd, somebody switch. [00:07:11] Speaker A: Cause I'm gonna die here. [00:07:13] Speaker F: Do you need to get it out? [00:07:15] Speaker C: I need to breathe. [00:07:20] Speaker B: So we get back in, and we see the sun is just beginning to really fully rise. The gray of the morning is coming to an end, and Uwehr is just finishing up his last watch as the rest of the team is beginning to wake up. [00:07:37] Speaker D: I mean, unseen servant. Coffee. Go. [00:07:44] Speaker B: Is what you hear from Alwards. [00:07:49] Speaker E: Zafir does not exit his tent until after at least three people else. Have three people else. [00:07:58] Speaker C: Val's kind of shuffling a bit more than walking. Looks kind of a little tired, a little bummed, I guess, is the best word to put it. And she just kind of walks over and, like, walks just directly into, like, Sigirn as a kind of, like, doesn't want to raise your arms, hug just a poof. [00:08:23] Speaker A: U ver is just kind of standing on the oscars of the. Of the camp, just kind of looking out at the woods, you know, from his watch. [00:08:34] Speaker E: Has Albert left his tent yet, or is he just waiting for the coffee? [00:08:39] Speaker D: Alward would have been awake before just about everyone except for Uwehr, who was on watch for, like, were you out? Yeah, he's been out. He's making breakfast, cooking whatever we have. I don't know what we brought. [00:08:51] Speaker E: Well, then, staying with what I said, zafir just doesn't look at all like he even slept. Like, he probably slept, and, like, he looks rested, but he looks exactly the same as he did, the day prior, shambles out of his tent and begins to put things up after he sees Val through the tent flaps, kind of moving out. [00:09:14] Speaker C: Your eyes are a little red right now, right? [00:09:17] Speaker E: Yes, they are still. [00:09:18] Speaker C: Well, they were then. They weren't then. They were. [00:09:21] Speaker E: Yes. At this very moment, my eyes are still deep. Blood reduced. [00:09:26] Speaker C: Okay, interesting. Is Neros out, or is she still in her tent? [00:09:32] Speaker F: I mean, thematically, Neros is not out yet. [00:09:35] Speaker E: That's why I said three. Cause I knew that you'd probably be laughing. [00:09:37] Speaker F: That's why whenever you said that, I pointed at Sam and then Jenkins and then Sven and then pointed at myself and shook my head. [00:09:46] Speaker C: After a little bit of Val just kind of standing there, she kind of just turns around. She does not have her face makeup on or anything right now. She just kind of just shuffles straight to near us's tent and kind of does a weird little tent knock. [00:10:09] Speaker E: Can you remind me again what she looks like without her makeup? [00:10:12] Speaker F: Like a lady? [00:10:13] Speaker C: She just doesn't. She just looks normal with the tattoo on under her eye. [00:10:18] Speaker E: Tattoo. [00:10:19] Speaker D: Okay. [00:10:19] Speaker C: That's about it. Otherwise, she looks the same. [00:10:22] Speaker E: I don't think I've ever seen it without the makeup, because the first time, it was, like, dripping. [00:10:28] Speaker C: No, I don't remember. [00:10:30] Speaker D: It was, like, sweating off. [00:10:31] Speaker E: Yeah, maybe you'd been crying. I'm not sure. I don't think I've ever seen it without makeup. [00:10:37] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. So she's just a little dirty. Hasn't really cleaned her face, but it's all gone. And the tattoo's just very prominent, so she kind of just. Plop. Plop. [00:10:51] Speaker F: What? [00:10:52] Speaker C: Are you awake? [00:10:53] Speaker F: I've been awake, which that's not normal either. [00:10:58] Speaker C: Yeah. Are you doing all right? [00:11:01] Speaker F: No, I'm not. Sorry. I'm fine. [00:11:08] Speaker C: Okay. Um, do you need some space, or can I come in? I don't know. [00:11:14] Speaker F: I mean, you can come in if you want. I'm not. I'm not mad at you. [00:11:19] Speaker C: Well, that's good. She'll kind of come in and sit down next to you. [00:11:27] Speaker F: Hi. [00:11:28] Speaker C: Hi. I'm sorry things didn't work out the way you were wanting. I know it must be really hard to hear a lot of that. [00:11:40] Speaker F: It's frustrating. [00:11:43] Speaker C: I can imagine. Yeah. [00:11:45] Speaker F: But. Oh, well, is breakfast ready yet? [00:11:51] Speaker C: Um, I think it is almost ready. He's got the thing going. [00:11:57] Speaker F: Are you okay? [00:12:01] Speaker C: Yeah, I think I'm all right. I had. It's been a lot to hear. Crazy things. Um, not what I was expecting out of that. From what I know of how it works, that wasn't right. It was different. And I know what you said about him, but I still don't feel right about it. [00:12:24] Speaker F: I know you don't, but please just leave it alone for now. [00:12:29] Speaker C: I'll do my best. I'll do my best. If you ever just need to talk about it, I'm here for you. [00:12:38] Speaker F: Thank you. [00:12:40] Speaker C: And she'll just put her arm around, if that's okay. [00:12:47] Speaker F: I think nurse will sit there for a little bit and then get up. [00:12:52] Speaker D: To get some food as you go to get up. My unseen servant is, like, outside of your tent, just sitting with two cups of coffee. Just. [00:13:05] Speaker A: It's. You can't see it. It's just two cups. [00:13:07] Speaker D: It's just two people cups of coffee. [00:13:10] Speaker F: I just take the cups. Thank you, Alwood. And give one to Val. [00:13:15] Speaker C: I keep telling you, I don't drink coffee. [00:13:18] Speaker F: More for me. [00:13:20] Speaker D: Sorry, Val, I can't have it make coffee and tea at the same time. [00:13:24] Speaker E: Why haven't I gotten any coffee yet? [00:13:28] Speaker F: I hide the second coffee mug. [00:13:35] Speaker D: We probably shouldn't waste much time and get moving as soon as we're done. [00:13:41] Speaker A: Yes, that, I think, would be best. [00:13:45] Speaker D: Sofia, if you want to start breaking. [00:13:46] Speaker E: Down the tents, I've already got mine down. I think it's everybody else's responsibility for theirs. [00:13:53] Speaker D: I've been making breakfast. If I would appreciate it, if I. [00:13:57] Speaker C: Can take it down. Howard. [00:13:58] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:13:59] Speaker E: I'm already over there taking it out. [00:14:03] Speaker C: Well, I'll take mine down in a minute. I gotta finish putting on my Marty. [00:14:06] Speaker E: Over there taking yours down. [00:14:07] Speaker C: I. My makeup stuff's in there. [00:14:09] Speaker E: Don't worry about it. I put in a box over there. [00:14:13] Speaker D: Just. [00:14:14] Speaker F: Tent deconstructor extraordinaire. [00:14:17] Speaker C: She's. She's gonna go over to where he tossed it and start putting on her face paint. [00:14:22] Speaker E: I left a mirror there too. [00:14:24] Speaker C: Thank you. [00:14:26] Speaker E: I'm sure you don't already know how to do it without seeing a mirror. [00:14:30] Speaker C: That's fair. [00:14:32] Speaker E: So before we do take off and stuff, you do notice one different change about me. It's that I've taken that charm amulet thingy from Cyto that we got a long time ago, and I have affixed it to my hand or my wrist so that I could possibly use it in the future. [00:14:50] Speaker C: Nice. Good job. [00:14:54] Speaker E: And now we can leave. [00:14:58] Speaker B: And with that, we do a Star wars style wipe transition to the party all in single file, making their way through the woods again as you are continuing along, deeper into the forest, following the footprints. Uh, Sven, you were the survivalist who is leading everybody go ahead and give me a survival check. [00:15:19] Speaker C: How far away did we think we were? Because he was saying a day, day and a half. I was thinking an hour or two. [00:15:24] Speaker B: That's what the survival check is, is how far are we? [00:15:27] Speaker C: Okay. [00:15:27] Speaker E: They also slept in between, so if they made any more progress. [00:15:34] Speaker A: Eleven. [00:15:36] Speaker B: Yeah. It's difficult to say. The footprints are clear enough that it's not difficult to follow them. But knowing how far ahead they are and how long it'll take to catch up, it's difficult to tell. [00:15:51] Speaker A: You can see u ver he's up front, and it's like he's lost in thought as he's thinking of something, and he's not focusing very well on the trail in front of him. Um. [00:16:11] Speaker E: I'm sorry. [00:16:12] Speaker B: I. [00:16:15] Speaker A: Could somebody else try to lead for a little while? I need to think. [00:16:21] Speaker C: Ah, that's all right there. Um, yeah, I can try. It's fine. [00:16:27] Speaker A: Oh, thank you. [00:16:28] Speaker E: Thank you. [00:16:30] Speaker C: Usually help out. And is it survival? [00:16:33] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:16:35] Speaker A: And as he gestures for you to take front, he passes by outward. Where are you at? [00:16:49] Speaker D: I would think I'd be behind Val because I know he's in the back because he likes being in the back. I don't know where she would be. [00:16:57] Speaker F: Probably next to Val. [00:16:58] Speaker D: Sorry. He. He being ze fear and she being neros. So somewhere in there, don't forget Cornelius. We always forget Cornelius. [00:17:12] Speaker F: Cornelius doesn't matter. [00:17:13] Speaker E: Right now, I'm just thinking he's got to be in the line somewhere. [00:17:16] Speaker B: Usually rides next to Val. [00:17:18] Speaker F: So there's two people next to Val? [00:17:20] Speaker D: No, he's on valve. [00:17:21] Speaker F: Okay. [00:17:22] Speaker C: No, he's got a pony perched on him. [00:17:24] Speaker D: Oh, he has a little pony. [00:17:25] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:17:27] Speaker A: U ver lets Val go before him, and then he kind of gets closer to Alward, and he says, howard, there's something about Zarun's are bothering me. Can can use. Can we discuss it, perhaps? [00:17:50] Speaker D: I mean, sure. As long as we're alert in the forest that wants to kill us. [00:17:57] Speaker A: No, I am keeping watch. I just. It's on. It's on my mind. And he just kind of pulls you back a little bit. [00:18:11] Speaker D: I don't think it's. I know you're not pulling me back a lot, but the second you like, we start going back further in the greenhouse, like, I don't think it's a good idea for us to be too separated if we can. [00:18:20] Speaker A: No, no, no. I don't want to lose track of them. I just. I know that there is a lot on the mind of the rest of the party, and this is personal matter. [00:18:34] Speaker D: Wait, the party has something else. What's going on with them? Are they acting different? [00:18:40] Speaker A: I don't know. I don't know. It's just Val and Neros and the red eyes of zefir. [00:18:52] Speaker C: He doesn't understand. [00:18:56] Speaker E: Makes sense. Makes sense. [00:18:59] Speaker A: But he just keeps pulling you back from the group just to the back of the line. Is it fear you pass us? I would imagine. [00:19:10] Speaker E: Keep your eyes on old man. [00:19:12] Speaker A: I will watch. [00:19:13] Speaker E: I will continue walking forward. [00:19:19] Speaker A: What I don't understand about what's happening with the runes. And he starts showing you one of the runes on his arm, and he just says, this one appeared recently. It's new. [00:19:40] Speaker D: Mm hmm. Wait, didn't we. Is it. Are you talking about the one that we transcribed? [00:19:46] Speaker A: This is a new rune on my arm. [00:19:49] Speaker D: The one that. A new new one. [00:19:52] Speaker A: A new new one. [00:19:54] Speaker D: When did win? [00:19:56] Speaker A: That is what I wanted to speak with you about. You see? And he holds it up, and it is a new rune, like, on his forearm? Yeah. He just pulls it back, and you just see. Do you see it? [00:20:09] Speaker D: I mean. Yeah, it's right there. It's. [00:20:13] Speaker A: Does that make any sense? And it's like he's forgotten how to move forward. He's now focused on that. He's not walking as much. [00:20:21] Speaker D: I'm gonna have hours to try to be as polite as possible, but seeing the group, like, continually get ahead. And he's, like, trying to move forward. [00:20:32] Speaker A: No, no, no. And he just stops. But. But there's another one right here. I didn't notice it, guys. [00:20:39] Speaker D: Yeah, no. [00:20:40] Speaker A: Is there a bend in the road? [00:20:42] Speaker B: No, you're following just footprints down the trail. So it's a little bit bendy, but there's not, like a real curve. [00:20:48] Speaker E: Zafir has slowed down, hearing outward yelling, but kind of not to a complete stop. Just kind of eyeing back, making sure, seeing what's going on. [00:20:57] Speaker A: You just see, like, giving you a little bit of space, motioning to his arm. [00:21:02] Speaker D: They pop up all the time. Like, I don't understand why. I don't know. Like what? [00:21:07] Speaker A: No, look. And he. And he pulls his horse back, and he comes around to the other side. [00:21:16] Speaker D: Are you okay? And are you there? [00:21:20] Speaker B: Make a perception check. [00:21:21] Speaker F: What? What? [00:21:26] Speaker B: Is this for initiative at this point? No. [00:21:29] Speaker F: What? [00:21:31] Speaker C: No, it's not very. [00:21:32] Speaker B: This is a perception check. [00:21:36] Speaker D: 29. [00:21:39] Speaker B: That's a success. [00:21:41] Speaker D: Is this what it felt like when I asked you for a wisdom save? [00:21:45] Speaker A: You see Uvar try to grab you and drag you into the forest? [00:21:54] Speaker D: I don't like that. I don't like that at all. [00:21:58] Speaker C: He sees it. [00:21:59] Speaker B: So what you're seeing is u ver grabbing at you. So hasn't made any checks yet. So he's not successful at this point, but he's reaching out at you. I'm gonna point out too, along with this, Alward, with that high of a perception check, it just occurred to you, something that's been just an issue at the back of your mind. Those runes, you've studied those runes, they're wrong. They are not the runes. [00:22:24] Speaker C: Oh, no. What are we seeing this happen? [00:22:28] Speaker B: I think at least Zafir has a clear view of this. If you guys have stopped to look back, you probably see this happening as well. [00:22:34] Speaker E: I just ruled perception and I got well above 25. So Zafir in that moment, looks back and sees the action of you trying to pull him. He looks back towards the front and says, val, neros, stop. [00:22:51] Speaker B: Meanwhile. Oh, there, question mark. Were you going to try to grab Albert and drag him off? [00:22:56] Speaker A: I was. [00:22:57] Speaker B: Well, go ahead and do like, a pseudo initiative. We don't need to be on a map for this. We'll try and keep it a little bit more narrative, actually. Yeah, go ahead and roll initiative. If you can beat Albert's perception, you can go. [00:23:09] Speaker D: Excuse you? [00:23:10] Speaker B: And if you wanted to do something different about your initiative. [00:23:14] Speaker D: I do. I like the idea. Of what? That he sees it happen because I rolled above an eleven and it's only going to increase it by one, but. [00:23:24] Speaker B: So that would pump it up to a 30 then, correct? [00:23:26] Speaker D: Yeah, it bumps it up to a 30 and I break ties. [00:23:30] Speaker B: Nice. [00:23:30] Speaker A: I mean, you still beat me. [00:23:31] Speaker E: Can I use my 27 as a perception? [00:23:35] Speaker B: Yes, you can use that as your initiative as well. [00:23:38] Speaker C: Do we need to roll? [00:23:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I want you to go ahead as well. [00:23:41] Speaker A: I rolled a three on the die. [00:23:42] Speaker C: Ah, well, thank goodness. Nice. If this is what I think it is, good job. This is fun. I love these things. I like doing these two players. [00:23:53] Speaker D: I if it is what I think it is. If it is what I think you think it is, I'm not excited. [00:23:59] Speaker E: Is it a mimic? [00:24:00] Speaker C: We get to kill a mimic? [00:24:03] Speaker D: The real question is, where's the real Uva? [00:24:06] Speaker B: All right, so I believe Alwards going first, then. [00:24:09] Speaker D: Okay. [00:24:09] Speaker B: Unless Val or Neros beat 30. [00:24:12] Speaker C: No, 28. [00:24:14] Speaker B: Okay. All right, so Albert, then you see Uvair. And as you're just starting to realize, those runes are not right. They are not the right runes. They're just random symbols. You see him lunging at you. [00:24:27] Speaker D: Would I have traveled enough with Uvar, fought enough beside him to know some base information about him, like his saves and which one is the best or the worst. Which one he's good at and he's bad at. [00:24:40] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:24:40] Speaker B: I don't think you would need to roll to know what are good saves and what are bad saves for. [00:24:44] Speaker D: You do not have to tell me the number. What is your weakest save? [00:24:48] Speaker B: As Uwe. [00:24:49] Speaker A: As Uber? [00:24:50] Speaker D: Yeah, I don't need. I'm just. I don't know what's going on. I just see you trying to grab me in a very violent way. I'm going to react, but I don't want to hurt you either. [00:24:59] Speaker A: Fortitude or reflex. [00:25:02] Speaker F: I don't like this. [00:25:04] Speaker D: I need a fortitude save. This is one action. [00:25:10] Speaker A: Cool. [00:25:11] Speaker D: Twelve, right? That presuming is a failure since my dc is 22. So what's going to happen is just before you can, like, lunge to grab me, a violent force is going to push you 10ft away from me, presumably off your horse. And then I. It's one action to make a ride. Check to move. [00:25:35] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. [00:25:36] Speaker D: And then I'm going to, like. I would like to ride my horse ahead to where Zafir's Athenae. And then for my final action, recall knowledge. [00:25:45] Speaker B: All right. And what are you recalling? [00:25:48] Speaker D: Knowledge about what is going on with my friend. Like, what could have caused it. Like, he's acting very different. Like, he's not. He's trying to pull me into the forest and I don't like that. [00:26:01] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:26:02] Speaker F: He's a skinwalker. [00:26:03] Speaker B: What is your nature? Bonus. [00:26:05] Speaker D: Not good. Uh oh. That's actually not bad. Eleven. [00:26:08] Speaker B: Wow. That's a crit. Success. [00:26:12] Speaker D: I don't believe you. [00:26:14] Speaker B: So with the perception check that you succeeded and your recall knowledge check. As you're looking at Uva, whom you've pushed off the horse, you're now seeing through the illusion. Just Al word at this point. Al word. You see, instead of a dwarf having fallen off of this horse, you see a mound of leaves, moss and branches. That's like trying to, like, assemble itself back into a dwarf shape on the ground. And you realize that you are up against a woodland stalker. [00:26:48] Speaker D: That doesn't sound fun. [00:26:50] Speaker C: Man, hope you got your backup character cuz we don't need to go looking for him. [00:26:57] Speaker D: Can I? [00:26:59] Speaker C: Nice. [00:26:59] Speaker D: Get a lore drop about them before my questions. [00:27:02] Speaker B: Yeah. So a horrific amalgamation of fungus, leaves and vines, a woodland stalker has no true shape per se. Instead, the true form of a woodland stalker is more akin to a swarm of plants and fungus that have banded together in a hive to hunt sapient creatures. They do so by using innate, illusory magic to cast a glamour over themselves to appear identical to a humanoid of their choice. [00:27:27] Speaker D: What do we want to know? [00:27:29] Speaker C: What does it do with people? [00:27:31] Speaker D: Yeah, I get. [00:27:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:27:32] Speaker D: What does it do with people? Glamours? [00:27:34] Speaker B: I guess it consumes them. [00:27:39] Speaker D: Is. Is it safe to assume our friend is gone? That's not my question. Would I know if it's based off the critical success? That's what I know. If it's like, does it. Is it capable of speech? [00:27:56] Speaker C: Yes. [00:27:57] Speaker D: Okay. What? I know common languages well. Well, it could be, like, part of the glamour. It's mimicking. [00:28:05] Speaker B: Typically, they would be able to speak fae and skald or whatever would be the common language in the area. [00:28:11] Speaker D: Should we do weaknesses or saves or special ability? Yeah, or special ability. Let's do special ability. [00:28:19] Speaker B: So special ability. Obviously, it does have the ability to disguise itself as others also. Let's see. They are designed to attack those who are left unawares. So they do have essentially the sneak attack ability from the rogue class. [00:28:38] Speaker D: Okay. When I get up there, I'm going like, that's. That's not u Verdez. [00:28:44] Speaker B: And it is Val's turn. [00:28:46] Speaker C: Val will take a look at it and be like, what do you mean? [00:28:49] Speaker D: He tried to pull me off my horse. It's not over. [00:28:53] Speaker C: Can I, like, look? [00:28:56] Speaker B: Sounds like using a single action to seek. [00:28:59] Speaker C: Yeah. Is that perception? [00:29:01] Speaker B: Yes. [00:29:04] Speaker C: 22. [00:29:06] Speaker B: Yes. That is a success with Alberta, you know, pointing it out, letting you know what the issue is, and you making that successful roll, you have also pierced the illusion. And you see the pile of leaves and plant matter as well. [00:29:18] Speaker C: Oh, some sort of plant monster thing. Um, she's gonna use an action to stride up to it, I guess, and then attack with her last action. [00:29:29] Speaker D: Zafir Nero is just watching Val beat up on an old man. [00:29:34] Speaker C: It is 40ft. I don't know if that really. [00:29:36] Speaker B: I believe that horses can move that far. [00:29:38] Speaker C: Yeah. That is a 26 to hit that hits. Awesome. Is he, like, is he still prone? Oh, he would be off guard. That doesn't change the hit, though, right? No, that's gonna be nine slashing damage. Nine magical slashing damage. And that's my turn. [00:29:59] Speaker B: All right. And Neros, what did you roll? [00:30:01] Speaker F: I rolled a twelve. [00:30:04] Speaker B: What was the total? [00:30:05] Speaker F: A twelve. [00:30:06] Speaker B: Oh, pardon me. [00:30:10] Speaker A: I rolled 412. [00:30:12] Speaker B: In that case, it is 20 or seven. [00:30:15] Speaker E: So question, first of all, that new amulet thingy, that. Correct gives me a free action to draw a weapon. Correct. [00:30:25] Speaker B: Yeah. You can summon a weapon into your hand with that as a free action. As part of doing a strike. But if you want to summon a weapon without doing a strike at the same time, it costs one action. [00:30:36] Speaker E: So when you say summon a weapon, what about the weapons that I have on my own? [00:30:41] Speaker B: So you wouldn't be able to draw your short bow with that, but you would be able to, like, magically conjure a short bow. [00:30:47] Speaker E: Okay, I see what's going on. Okay. Instead of that, I'm going to need a will save. [00:30:56] Speaker A: 30. [00:30:59] Speaker E: Nothing happens. And that ends my turn. [00:31:02] Speaker C: He was doing the. Were you doing the prison? [00:31:04] Speaker E: Mm hmm. Ooh, it's a third three action. Or three whatever. [00:31:09] Speaker B: Oh, it's three actions, too. [00:31:10] Speaker D: It's three actions. [00:31:11] Speaker B: Wow. [00:31:12] Speaker A: Sorry, buddy. I rolled an 18. [00:31:14] Speaker E: Okay, it's not. [00:31:15] Speaker D: You're loving this monster. [00:31:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:31:20] Speaker E: Oh, but that means I've lost that spell. [00:31:23] Speaker B: And that brings us to Uvair's turn. [00:31:27] Speaker A: I would have rather had the weak one, but you will do just as well. [00:31:33] Speaker C: Um, no, thank you. [00:31:37] Speaker A: Does a 26 hit. [00:31:40] Speaker C: Do you take any penalties for being. [00:31:41] Speaker B: Prone on your attack roll? Yeah, I think it's still a minus two. [00:31:46] Speaker A: I get up. [00:31:48] Speaker C: Okay. [00:31:49] Speaker B: Yes, it's. It's a minus two circumstance penalty if you attack from prone. [00:31:54] Speaker A: I get up first. [00:31:55] Speaker C: You get up first. [00:31:55] Speaker A: And then I was gonna stand. [00:31:57] Speaker E: Yes. [00:31:57] Speaker C: I don't think my horse provides me anything. So that is a hit. My ac is 25, so, yes. [00:32:06] Speaker A: Okay, so you are going to take nine damage, and you're grabbed. [00:32:15] Speaker C: Cool. [00:32:15] Speaker B: For the grab. The way that that works, since you don't use this for step, you do still have to make an athletics check, but you do so without any penalties. [00:32:24] Speaker A: So. [00:32:25] Speaker B: And it will use an your last action to do that. [00:32:28] Speaker A: That's fine. That's what I was gonna do anyway, so. [00:32:31] Speaker D: So he stood up, attacked, and then grabbed. [00:32:34] Speaker A: Yes. [00:32:34] Speaker D: Okay. [00:32:35] Speaker C: 23, 42, 23. That is one over my fortitude. DC sad again. [00:32:45] Speaker A: Okay, you're grabbed. [00:32:46] Speaker C: All right. I'm grabbed. Cool. Exciting. [00:32:49] Speaker B: And now it is nero says turn. So, Neros, since you haven't broken through the illusion yet, what you see is Val rides up and hacks at U ver with her glaive, and then uv air lets out his eerie, like, I would have had the weak one. And then he reaches up, and his arm just gets, like, really elongated and just grabs valerie. [00:33:13] Speaker F: I don't think that's u of a. [00:33:15] Speaker D: Quick reminder of how. Because we haven't really dealt with major illusions and stuff for. Is it you are not allowed to disbelieve the illusion until something is shown. Or is it you can make a check when something is shown to disbelieve an illusion, and that is an act. Like, how does that function? Because the. Yeah, his arm stretching is weird. [00:33:34] Speaker B: So, with illusions, the way they work in the system is you can make a check to disbelieve an illusion at any time. You just probably wouldn't do that unless you have a reason to think there's an illusion. So, like, you could just be like, I don't think this floor is real. Can I check to see if it's real or not? You know, but that would be strange behavior, unless you had a reason to think the floor was not real. So with Uwehr's arm just stretching out, that's a pretty good reason to think that that's not real. [00:34:05] Speaker F: And his weird, creepy, raspy, non uwe voice. [00:34:09] Speaker A: This is totally Uwehr's voice. [00:34:11] Speaker B: With that being said, of course, you don't have to spend an action to disbelieve the illusion if you want to just go, yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not real. And just act accordingly. [00:34:20] Speaker F: I would love to not spend an action to try. And I think just seeing his freaking arms stretch like some sort of gremlin. Yeah. Would clue me in. So how far away are they? [00:34:35] Speaker B: Let's say 30ft. [00:34:37] Speaker F: Perfect. I love that. I'm going to cast telekinetic projectile on non Uwehr. [00:34:46] Speaker C: Nice. [00:34:47] Speaker E: Nouverous. [00:34:49] Speaker D: No, he's not joining the party. [00:34:52] Speaker F: Okay, 27 that hits. Okay, 17 points of damage. [00:35:00] Speaker A: What type of damage? [00:35:02] Speaker F: What did I pick up? [00:35:03] Speaker E: You know, what did you hit him? [00:35:04] Speaker D: Telekinetic projectile. [00:35:05] Speaker F: It's bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing, as appropriate for the object that you hurled. So I'm gonna say, since we're on a. Like, just a path, just a rock or something, and bludgeoning damage, it doesn't. [00:35:22] Speaker B: Look like it all went. [00:35:23] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:35:24] Speaker B: What was the total again? [00:35:25] Speaker F: 17. [00:35:26] Speaker B: Okay. [00:35:26] Speaker C: Is that how my weapon also didn't all go through? [00:35:29] Speaker B: No. Looks good for you. [00:35:30] Speaker C: Oh, interesting. [00:35:33] Speaker F: Something tells me there's some sort of immunity or resistance. [00:35:37] Speaker C: Yeah. Might be open to slashing. What? [00:35:39] Speaker F: I just. Yeah, I spins. [00:35:42] Speaker C: Enjoying it? [00:35:42] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:35:45] Speaker A: What? No. [00:35:47] Speaker F: And then I'm going to. What, do I need to roll to disbelieve the illusion, or do I need. [00:35:56] Speaker B: To, at this point, perception? If you want to disbelieve the illusion. [00:36:01] Speaker F: I'd like to so I can recall knowledge later. [00:36:03] Speaker B: Okay. [00:36:04] Speaker C: That means you just stabbed him, that listener, without disbelieving. It's uwe. [00:36:08] Speaker F: That's not a good role. 13. [00:36:12] Speaker B: You're peering at him, but it's like, hmm, no, it looks like Uwe with a really stretchy arm. [00:36:20] Speaker F: I just hit my friend with a rock. That is my turn. [00:36:25] Speaker B: All right. And with that, it rolls back around to Alward. [00:36:30] Speaker D: While I'm looking something up. How does the thing look? [00:36:34] Speaker B: A bit beat up, but, like, it could keep going if it wanted to. [00:36:38] Speaker F: It still has all its leaves. [00:36:41] Speaker B: It's. It's not sapped yet. [00:36:47] Speaker D: Albert still, like, coming to the realization of everything that's going on, and he's just gonna kind of look at the creature, where's. Where's my friend? And then his psyche is going to unleash, and I'm going to amp a telekinetic projectile at the creature. I'm going to use a hero point. [00:37:07] Speaker C: What'd you roll? [00:37:07] Speaker D: I rolled a four. That's better. It's not good, but it's better. [00:37:14] Speaker F: Sam, have you touched mine or Jenkins's dice tonight? [00:37:17] Speaker C: Not today. [00:37:18] Speaker D: All right. Not for lack of 19. [00:37:22] Speaker A: Nope. [00:37:26] Speaker F: They're there. [00:37:27] Speaker D: It's okay. It's okay. So, since I'm next to Zafir, this will be the first time that something like this has happened to you. But whenever you go to an attack, right beforehand, you. I see basically a vision with you missing and you succeeding, and you get the fortune effect for your next attack, roll or other skill check. [00:37:53] Speaker C: Ooh. [00:37:54] Speaker E: I did get something similar. Didn't get the effect. But when I saw you die in that flower patch. [00:37:59] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, it's similar to that. But this one actually affects you, and it's a vision of yourself and not me. [00:38:06] Speaker E: I don't like that. I mean, I like that, but I don't like that. Thank you, though. [00:38:11] Speaker D: You're welcome. [00:38:13] Speaker B: Jenkins, when you threw the telekinetic projectile, you were like, what happened to my friend? Were you expecting an answer, or you just. [00:38:19] Speaker D: Or if it wants to answer, it. [00:38:22] Speaker A: Looks at you and just goes. A big grin. [00:38:27] Speaker E: It says. [00:38:28] Speaker D: It says. [00:38:33] Speaker A: It just looks at you and goes. [00:38:35] Speaker B: And with that, it is Val's turn. [00:38:37] Speaker C: So, for my first action, Sigrun's gonna fly down and flank you with me, and she's gonna slash with her talons. Oh, nope, that's not gonna do it. That 15 total. [00:38:51] Speaker A: Yep. [00:38:51] Speaker C: All right, in that case for me, I'm kind of stuck there. What Val's going to do is off guard, right? [00:38:59] Speaker B: Yes. [00:39:00] Speaker C: Yeah. You're off guard to me too, because you're flanked. [00:39:04] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:39:05] Speaker E: True. [00:39:06] Speaker C: So, Val considers something. She starts feeling some energy flowing through her arm, but she kind of pushes it back, and instead, the glaive begins to glow as a bunch of the little kirby crackles come off of it, and she unleashes a divine retribution against you. [00:39:23] Speaker F: Oh, nice. [00:39:26] Speaker C: Oh, jeez. 24, flat footed. [00:39:30] Speaker A: That hits off guardhouse. [00:39:33] Speaker B: I've got. [00:39:34] Speaker D: It's gonna take so long to get used to the new terms. [00:39:37] Speaker E: Transition period. [00:39:39] Speaker C: That is eleven slashing damage. Are you unholy and or evil? If we're still using the old version of this weapon, no. Then that is the end of my turn. [00:39:54] Speaker F: Are you unholy? [00:39:56] Speaker E: Only on the weekends. [00:39:58] Speaker B: What? [00:39:59] Speaker C: Everybody isn't holding on the week? [00:40:01] Speaker B: Zafir. [00:40:02] Speaker E: Okay, so seeing that all this happens, Zafir's not even worried about seeing through the illusion, and he just wants to shoot this weird uvir. Doesn't even care. Somebody else laugh. [00:40:17] Speaker C: I feel an opportunity to kill Uvair's affair. So happy. [00:40:23] Speaker A: I don't know how I feel about this. [00:40:27] Speaker E: He is going to draw his bow, his physical one, not the one that lets him do your thing, and shoot a arrow imbued with ignite, because that seems to do the most damage to everything. [00:40:41] Speaker F: You're going to set it on fire? [00:40:43] Speaker E: Hopefully. [00:40:44] Speaker F: Okay. [00:40:45] Speaker D: Oh, you do have fortune. So roll again. Do you have better? [00:40:50] Speaker E: Well, that was worse. Does a 23 hit? [00:40:54] Speaker A: It does. [00:40:55] Speaker E: Okay, it's number time again. We're gonna start with the regular damage. That's six plus two fire. Ten. So ten more fire damage. So that is twelve fire damage, six error. Damage. [00:41:14] Speaker D: Nice. [00:41:15] Speaker E: And that ends my turn. [00:41:18] Speaker B: All right, so your arrow flies over and hits Uwehr's shoulder, and. No, you're zefir. You're very familiar with what it looks like when flesh gets burned, I presume? [00:41:32] Speaker E: I wouldn't tell anyone, but yes, it's the weekend. [00:41:38] Speaker B: Having not seen through the illusion, it seems a little bit odd to you that the arrow hits uwehr's shoulder, and then, like, his shoulder just starts to, like, crackle and burn. [00:41:48] Speaker E: I've never hit an uwe with a burning arrow before, so this could be normal. [00:41:54] Speaker C: He's got runes all over him. [00:41:55] Speaker B: It does seem that the fire was more effective than the arrow. [00:42:00] Speaker E: I'll have to shoot you with a flaming arrow if we find you alive sometime. [00:42:03] Speaker B: And he is now very sapped. It is now Uvare's turn. [00:42:12] Speaker D: Well, tree van. [00:42:14] Speaker A: After that, as you hit him with that fire arrow, you just hear him just. I'm not gonna try and do this. You just hear this unholy screeching and as a reaction. Now everybody can see this creature. [00:42:32] Speaker E: Nah, I still think it's a bear. [00:42:35] Speaker D: You need to shave. [00:42:37] Speaker E: Haven't you ever just wanted to shoot your friends? [00:42:39] Speaker A: But what happens is suddenly the illusion's gone. Or more specifically, I discard glamour as he howls in pain, releases Val, and just starts running into the woods. [00:42:56] Speaker B: And are using all three actions. Just book it. [00:42:58] Speaker C: Yep. How fast is he? [00:43:01] Speaker B: Uh, you guys's speed. But he can move through the woods without having to worry about, like, difficult terrain and stuff. So he just 75ft off into the woods? [00:43:10] Speaker C: Yep. [00:43:11] Speaker E: Crap. I can't try to imprison him again. I don't have that spell set. [00:43:18] Speaker B: Neros. [00:43:20] Speaker F: What do you want me to do about it? [00:43:22] Speaker B: It's up to you. You can let it go. [00:43:24] Speaker F: Are we doads? [00:43:26] Speaker C: We got things to do. [00:43:27] Speaker F: Are we chasing it? Can we just leave? [00:43:30] Speaker C: It has over. [00:43:33] Speaker F: It has over. [00:43:34] Speaker C: Either that or it's eaten. Who there. Maybe it's running back to its lair. [00:43:38] Speaker F: Are we chasing it? [00:43:40] Speaker D: I mean, it knows where u versat. [00:43:43] Speaker C: But if we go off the path. [00:43:45] Speaker F: Do we. [00:43:48] Speaker D: Have to get uva? [00:43:49] Speaker C: That's right. [00:43:50] Speaker F: Fine. I will pursue. [00:43:51] Speaker C: We have to get off of our horses, though. [00:43:54] Speaker B: To pursue into the woods? Yes, you would have to dismount because you wouldn't be able to ride your horses through the woods like that. I mean, I guess you could follow, but it would be slowly because you have to, like, zigzag and work your way around. So, Neros, you are pursuing. [00:44:09] Speaker F: Yep. [00:44:09] Speaker B: All right, make for me either an acrobatics check or a survival check. [00:44:17] Speaker F: Ooh, I'm untrained in both. [00:44:19] Speaker B: Ooh. [00:44:22] Speaker F: It'S a five total. [00:44:25] Speaker B: So you slide off your horse and begin trying to charge into the bushes after the creature. You barely make it, like, 5ft off the trail before you go over. Like an unexpected dip where tree roots have held up the dirt, but time has eroded right past that, and you fall and lose your balance. By the time you're able to get back up again, it takes you a minute to even realize direction you're facing. Okay, then. Following an initiative order. Does anybody else want to chase after this creature? [00:44:54] Speaker D: How far away is he from me? [00:44:56] Speaker B: At this point? 75ft. Well, 75ft. I don't care about Pythagoras. He's 75ft away. [00:45:03] Speaker D: And how does he look? [00:45:05] Speaker B: Very beat up. [00:45:06] Speaker D: I'm going to cast an amped telekinetic projectile and use warp space to cast it 30ft ahead of me with an additional 60 foot range from the spell itself. [00:45:16] Speaker B: Jeez, nice. [00:45:19] Speaker D: And hope I hit and not roll a seven. [00:45:21] Speaker F: I love Elward. Did you roll a seven? [00:45:27] Speaker D: I rolled a two. [00:45:29] Speaker C: Do you have a hero point? [00:45:30] Speaker A: No. [00:45:31] Speaker F: Do you want one of mine? [00:45:32] Speaker D: I can't. [00:45:35] Speaker C: Sorry, buddy. [00:45:35] Speaker D: Ah, you were rolling eight. What happened? 218s in a row. [00:45:46] Speaker B: So, Al, word from your horse. You focus on this leafy, plantish creature booking it off through the woods, and you levitate up a rock or something off the ground, and you hurl it at the creature, but just before it hits him, it collides into a tree and just clatters off into the forest. [00:46:01] Speaker F: I'm sorry, Jenkins. [00:46:04] Speaker D: I have no other spells to use. Can I recall knowledge on it again? To, like, know, like, a general vibe of where, like, we could track this thing to if needed. [00:46:15] Speaker B: Sure. [00:46:16] Speaker D: Or, like, what it does with its prey or whatever. [00:46:19] Speaker B: Not a critical success, but a success. You know that usually these creatures consume their prey, and they don't, like, put them in a larder or anything, so it's. [00:46:31] Speaker D: They eat them, they're gone. [00:46:33] Speaker B: That would be a reasonable assumption. It's not necessarily the only outcome, but it is a reasonable assumption. If the star, the woodland stalker, was able to overpower Uwe, he is most likely dead. [00:46:47] Speaker C: Val, I have two options here. I could shoot a sunblade at him, which would do fire damage, or I could give Sigrun three actions and just have it because it's faster than him, and just have Sigrun just kill it as it's trying to run away. So I could try and do some sun, some fire damage just to proc its weakness, to see if it dies, because it seems really close to death. [00:47:14] Speaker D: I mean, I think that's a good. [00:47:15] Speaker C: Idea, but if it doesn't die, it'll get away. Unless Zafir can do anything as well. What do you guys think? Anyone else? Not you, Sven. [00:47:29] Speaker F: You're currently our enemy. Right now. [00:47:31] Speaker C: Zapier, are you gonna be able to do anything? To shoot him or anything? [00:47:34] Speaker E: I mean, I'd only get one shot. [00:47:37] Speaker D: Same. [00:47:38] Speaker C: Yeah, same. [00:47:40] Speaker F: So I don't know if I'm currently in a hole. [00:47:42] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm gonna go with Sigurd. I'm gonna do two actions. Sigrin gets three actions. She has 60ft of movement, so she wouldn't really get to him. Right, because he's 75ft away from her. [00:47:53] Speaker B: Right. [00:47:54] Speaker C: So then she would use a second action to get, like, in front of him, and then use her talons. It's a natural one. [00:48:06] Speaker A: It's a natural. [00:48:07] Speaker D: Miss Sigran is a named character. [00:48:10] Speaker A: Oh, no. [00:48:11] Speaker D: I forgot about that. Unarmed. [00:48:13] Speaker C: Mm hmm. [00:48:15] Speaker D: Sigrun is fatigued. She hit the wall. [00:48:17] Speaker A: She hit a tree. [00:48:18] Speaker D: She hits a tree. [00:48:22] Speaker A: That is very thematic. [00:48:23] Speaker C: Take a minus one penalty to saving. Throws an ac. Cool. That's. And then I have one more action. So I will start chasing as best as I can. [00:48:38] Speaker B: So you're gonna run off the trail? [00:48:40] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:41] Speaker B: All right, I will need an acrobatics check or a nature check or. Sorry, survival. [00:48:45] Speaker C: Acrobatics or survival check for a 23. [00:48:51] Speaker B: All right, so you are able to move your full movement. So you are now 50ft behind the creature. [00:48:57] Speaker C: Hold on. My movement is 20ft. [00:48:58] Speaker B: Oh, then you are 55ft behind the creature and 20ft off the track. [00:49:02] Speaker C: I definitely can't keep up with this thing. Cool. That is my turn. [00:49:07] Speaker E: All right, Zafir, seeing that? Well, actually, Albert, what did you do? [00:49:12] Speaker D: Nothing. [00:49:12] Speaker E: Okay. [00:49:13] Speaker D: So I tried to hit it with something and failed miserably. [00:49:16] Speaker E: So saying that Neros and Val have run into the forest, you hear nero. [00:49:23] Speaker F: Squeak as she falls into a hole. [00:49:29] Speaker E: You know, I think I, too, will. Wait, two. Nobody else did this. I will recharge my spell, strike, and then send another arrow flying with a minus two. Correct. [00:49:40] Speaker B: Yeah. Cause he is just slightly out of the first range increment. [00:49:45] Speaker E: That's natural. 20. [00:49:49] Speaker D: That was ten out of ten. [00:49:52] Speaker C: Did you put a spell on it? Ignite? [00:49:54] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:49:56] Speaker C: Oh, look at Sven. I don't know how it works. [00:50:00] Speaker D: You're an enemy right now. I'm a little sad. [00:50:04] Speaker A: I was gonna do something. [00:50:05] Speaker C: I love getting to kill. [00:50:07] Speaker E: I don't even know what to do right now. [00:50:09] Speaker C: Characters. His characters. [00:50:11] Speaker D: What's the card? [00:50:12] Speaker C: So it would be bicep, wound the creatures and feebled one until healed. [00:50:17] Speaker B: I don't know if it's gonna matter. [00:50:20] Speaker A: I don't think it's. [00:50:22] Speaker B: Petites roll in numbers. [00:50:24] Speaker E: So there's already ten piercing damage. I'm guessing with the arrow. [00:50:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:50:30] Speaker D: Double. They're not doubled. [00:50:33] Speaker E: That's not doubled. I'm not doubling anything. So that's. [00:50:36] Speaker C: Hooray. [00:50:36] Speaker E: Hold on. Eight plus six plus three. That's 17 fire damage. So that would be 27 damage. Overall times 254 damage. Did I do that right? [00:50:54] Speaker D: I think so. [00:50:55] Speaker B: So you loose this arrow, and Val is fighting her way through the brush, trying to keep up as best as she can. Sigurd has crashed into a tree and is trying to gain her bearings. This leaf plant creature is, like, vaulting over a fallen tree and is about to duck out of sight when your arrow just whizzes through, catches it dead center of the back, and it just kind of slumps across the log and just begins to smolder and we are out of initiative again. [00:51:24] Speaker E: I send Rustaford to get an overview. [00:51:29] Speaker C: Where's you there. [00:51:32] Speaker F: Where am I? [00:51:34] Speaker C: You're right here. Take my hand. I want to help you up. [00:51:38] Speaker D: As far as we know, this thing was over since this morning, so we might have to turn back and go to camp. [00:51:45] Speaker C: Yeah. If he ate there, would it be in his body? [00:51:49] Speaker D: I don't know. Would it be in his body? [00:51:54] Speaker E: I'm waiting on Rustopher to tell me what he sees from the carnage. [00:51:58] Speaker B: So content. Warning. If you don't like gruesome things, skip ahead a bit. So typically, the way that these things consume their prey is they take them to somewhere safe, kill them, let them rot a little bit, and then just sort of, you know, get their roots in and, you know, get all the nutrition as it's coming out. [00:52:20] Speaker C: Nice. [00:52:21] Speaker B: A human slurpee. [00:52:22] Speaker E: Yay. I mean, gross. [00:52:25] Speaker C: So it wouldn't be in his body. [00:52:27] Speaker F: So where's Hoover? [00:52:29] Speaker C: Yes, we go back and see. [00:52:30] Speaker D: Wait, wait. Hedehethere be somewhere in the forest. [00:52:32] Speaker C: Is it gonna be the same if we go back, though? Doesn't the forest move? [00:52:37] Speaker D: I mean, we guide is gone. I don't. I don't know. [00:52:41] Speaker C: I'll take us back. Let's go. [00:52:43] Speaker F: We had a campfire, so maybe Rustaford. [00:52:45] Speaker B: Flutters back and lands on Zafir's shoulder and is like. It just appears to be smoldering leaves and moss. It smells awful. [00:52:55] Speaker E: You don't think it's going to catch to the rest of the forest, do you? [00:52:59] Speaker B: No, no, it's. It's very damp over there. [00:53:02] Speaker E: Good. [00:53:03] Speaker C: Can I keep my previous arrival check and just head back, or do you need me to reroll survival? [00:53:08] Speaker B: So with your survival check, you said it was a 32. [00:53:10] Speaker C: That was a 23. [00:53:11] Speaker B: 23. With the 23, you know two things. One, as long as the forest cooperates, you'd be able to guide everybody back to the campsite. But two, you're only a few hours behind your quarry. Like, you could probably catch up with them by noon. [00:53:31] Speaker C: Right, but we don't want to leave him. I will plead to the forest to help us find uv hair. [00:53:41] Speaker E: Close your eyes and stamp. [00:53:43] Speaker C: So she'll just be like, as we're going. She's like forest woods. Our friend over had talked to you and beseeched you for aid before. Now we beseech you for aid to help us find him. Something happened to you. We're not sure where he is or how to find him, but we need to help him, and we need you to help us. You know, we plead for your assistance here. [00:54:12] Speaker B: Make a nature check. [00:54:17] Speaker F: I will not try to aid you. [00:54:19] Speaker D: Oh, I mean, I could try to. [00:54:21] Speaker E: Aid, but I could not even try. [00:54:24] Speaker F: What? [00:54:25] Speaker C: The natural one, for a total of ten. [00:54:30] Speaker E: A branch comes down, smacks you in the face. [00:54:34] Speaker C: Uverted. I guess we're out of here. [00:54:37] Speaker D: That's not funny. [00:54:39] Speaker B: The forest just appears to be silent. [00:54:45] Speaker C: Just hightail it back as fast as we can. [00:54:49] Speaker E: I don't see us moving forward in the forest without him. [00:54:53] Speaker F: We need him. [00:54:55] Speaker C: We're not going to abandon him. [00:54:58] Speaker B: So as you're making your way back to camp, you're following your trail back, following those footprints back, and you've gone a few minutes. When Val, you're still leading the way, you notice off to your side there is just a bit ways out into the woods. Just about 75ft away, there's a bit of smoldering foliage. [00:55:25] Speaker C: Val's just gonna hop off the horse. [00:55:27] Speaker B: And start running over to the smoldering foliage. [00:55:30] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:55:31] Speaker D: Do you see something? [00:55:33] Speaker B: Yeah. You make it about halfway before you realize that you have gone in a circle. [00:55:40] Speaker C: Ugh. [00:55:43] Speaker B: This is definitely the body of the creature. Still just smoldering out in the woods. [00:55:49] Speaker C: She comes back and she's like, we just went around in a circle. Can somebody else lead? [00:55:56] Speaker E: It was Huvert who made the pact with the forest. Now that he's out of the picture, I don't think they'll play any favor. [00:56:03] Speaker C: I mean, we kept it to you. [00:56:08] Speaker D: I don't. I don't know if I could sigurd fly above the canopy. [00:56:18] Speaker C: Yeah, I suppose so. [00:56:20] Speaker D: We could maybe tie a rope to him. We have over 200ft of rope. [00:56:25] Speaker C: I don't know how the magic works, though. [00:56:28] Speaker D: That's fair. [00:56:30] Speaker C: I don't know. Could I try calling out to, like, Gazra? [00:56:33] Speaker B: Yeah. With a religion check? [00:56:35] Speaker C: Yeah. So fleeting to the forest didn't help. So she's going to the manager and she's. It's a 26. [00:56:46] Speaker B: That's a good role. Could you paint a picture for me of, like, what that looks like? [00:56:50] Speaker C: Like she'll take some leaves and the ceremonial dagger that she has and sort of just like, whisk them up in the wind. Because Gazra is often seen as both, like, wind and, like, leaves and such. And then through that, she'll kind of do a prayer in that. [00:57:07] Speaker B: And are specifically. Are you just, like, asking Gazra for help and guidance or specifically get to get back to the campsite for helping. [00:57:15] Speaker C: Guidance to find there. [00:57:16] Speaker B: Okay. [00:57:17] Speaker C: And that he'd be safe. [00:57:19] Speaker B: So you kind of close your eyes in concentration as you're uttering this prayer. And when you open them, no one else really saw when it happened, but it looks like your footprints ended where you are. So like, you know, you need to be going south to get back to the campsite and there's just forest. Like the trail that you thought you were following is just gone now. But if you turn back around and look the other way, it actually, it seems more clear and more obvious to you to go north now. [00:57:51] Speaker C: Then north will go. Alright, I think I've got it this way. [00:57:58] Speaker B: As you are walking along, you hear a sound drifting in on the wind and at first you're not quite sure what it is, and then you make out that it seems to be somebody whistling. Val, you are the first one to realize that you recognize the tune as the title the two fetching fetchlings. And that's where we'll end this episode. [00:58:22] Speaker D: I don't like that. [00:58:24] Speaker B: All right, so the hero point for this session is going to petite for his excellent tactical decisions and his excellent DP's. [00:58:35] Speaker E: Well, thank you everyone. I was gonna go find out how flesh burned, but that sounds like a bad idea. So I think I'm just gonna go sit down and not think about what was happening to that creature and what he may have done to fair. [00:58:53] Speaker C: It's worth the Google. [00:58:55] Speaker F: No, let's not have the FBI look at our search history. [00:58:59] Speaker D: What specifically is worth the Google? [00:59:01] Speaker E: Hey, we're done here and we'll see. [00:59:36] Speaker D: I'm liking to imagine all of the stuff that normally floats around Aueward is now just happening on its horse's fur. I'm surrounded by impressions of my psyche now. [00:59:46] Speaker A: Hair, fur, that's not the same. [00:59:50] Speaker D: It's a thing. [00:59:52] Speaker B: They're shaggy mountain horses.
