Episode Transcript
[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part. Such as, like, comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: Now, where did we leave off?
Ah, yes.
At the whim of Grammaskult, a Fae ruler of Nithvale, Zafir, Alward, and Neros were tasked with completing three trials before they could leave the city.
The trio successfully completed two of the trials, leaving only the trial of might.
[00:01:02] Speaker C: Oh, are you transferring one Dr. Pepper into another receptacle?
[00:01:06] Speaker A: He doesn't like the receptacle it came in.
[00:01:08] Speaker C: Oh. Oh. He's got to drink something to make room.
[00:01:11] Speaker B: Chug, chug, chug.
[00:01:15] Speaker C: Chugging Dr. Pepper is dangerous.
[00:01:17] Speaker A: That sounds like somebody who's really done partying but doesn't want to stop because then he'll, like, get, like, socially ostracized. He's like, chug, chug, chug.
[00:01:29] Speaker B: Well, I'm just. I don't have a whole lot of practice at parties.
[00:01:33] Speaker D: Back when I was in high school, my health teacher, who ended up being a Missouri House of Representative member, really weird. He was telling me that when he was in college, he got hazed, and because he outwardly expressed that he did not drink, they made him drink hot Pepsi until he threw up.
[00:01:51] Speaker C: Ew, that sounds so mean.
[00:01:55] Speaker D: I mean, you know, like, if you're being hazed, like, okay, you got. You gotta drink until you throw up.
Well, he didn't drink, and I respected that.
[00:02:03] Speaker A: Just make him drink a gallon of milk and run.
[00:02:07] Speaker D: Probably because that would be too expensive.
[00:02:09] Speaker A: Apart from making him drink a hot. Multiple hot Pepsis.
[00:02:12] Speaker D: I don't think it was multiple. Have you ever had hot Pepsi?
[00:02:15] Speaker A: I don't want to.
[00:02:16] Speaker D: How about hot Kool Aid?
[00:02:17] Speaker A: I don't want to put hot Kool Aid.
[00:02:21] Speaker C: Hot Pepsi makes you throw up. That's. That's the moral of that story. Jenkins, you gonna be okay there, buddy? Are you sure?
[00:02:28] Speaker D: Hold on now. I'm second guessing myself. I don't know if it was Pepsi or Dr. Pepper.
[00:02:35] Speaker C: They're not similar.
[00:02:37] Speaker D: No, but they'll both make you throw up if you drink too much of it.
[00:02:40] Speaker C: That is true.
[00:02:42] Speaker B: Same can be said for many things.
[00:02:44] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:02:44] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. Especially alcohol rain.
[00:02:49] Speaker C: If you drink too much rain, you will.
[00:02:52] Speaker D: A little rain never hurt anyone.
[00:02:54] Speaker C: Rain is.
[00:02:55] Speaker D: Yeah, but a lot can kill you. Rain is Jumanji quote that I quoted at this point. What, like four weeks ago?
[00:03:01] Speaker A: Good call back.
[00:03:02] Speaker D: I don't know. Who's to say I don't know when these things are released.
[00:03:05] Speaker B: I have given our editor complete determining factor privilege.
He gets to decide what order these come out. So, like, for all I know, we're getting all of one side and then all of the other.
[00:03:21] Speaker C: Nothing. I was. I was seeing some movement through the fence, and I'm like, what the crap is that? But it's just a child on a swing.
[00:03:29] Speaker D: What the crap is that? Oh, it's. Oh, it's a child. Oh, no.
[00:03:33] Speaker C: Through a privacy fence, you can't see that much. And so I didn't know what was happening.
[00:03:37] Speaker D: I love the concept of a privacy pension. Pens. Pen.
[00:03:41] Speaker C: Privacy pens.
[00:03:42] Speaker D: Because it doesn't really offer much privacy.
[00:03:44] Speaker C: Nah.
[00:03:45] Speaker D: Really don't see the child when I. When I.
[00:03:47] Speaker C: Well, the way this privacy fence is made, you can still see through it pretty well.
[00:03:51] Speaker D: When I lived in a townhome here in town, in a home, they had a privacy fence behind it, but for whatever reason, they tore it down and replaced it with something that was way worse. So the original fence was just flat. Like, you had the slats, and there was, like, maybe a gap of, like, maybe half an inch. But then the new one was slat, five inches. Slat. And then it had the opposite on the other side. So if you were, like, at an angle, the entire view, you could see right through it.
[00:04:24] Speaker C: That's how it is. That's how it is here. That's the point how I can see the child.
[00:04:28] Speaker A: I'm gonna make a declarative statement that I have no facts for. It's for the wildlife.
[00:04:33] Speaker C: That is a possibility.
[00:04:34] Speaker A: I guess it makes sense to my brain.
[00:04:35] Speaker D: But it was so short, they could just walk around or climb it.
[00:04:39] Speaker A: You don't question wildlife, petite.
[00:04:41] Speaker D: I do often.
[00:04:43] Speaker A: What are you doing in that tree? Squirrel.
[00:04:45] Speaker C: That's where they live.
[00:04:47] Speaker D: They can climb. I've seen them climb.
I've seen it.
[00:04:52] Speaker C: Are you.
[00:04:54] Speaker B: Is this a conspiracy theory?
[00:04:55] Speaker C: Is someone trying to disprove that squirrels climb?
[00:04:58] Speaker D: Birds aren't real. Squirrels can't climb.
[00:05:00] Speaker A: I've never seen a squirrel climb.
[00:05:01] Speaker D: I've never seen a bird climb.
[00:05:04] Speaker C: Jenkins, you're lying to me. I can tell by the way you're laughing.
[00:05:07] Speaker A: I've never seen it.
[00:05:10] Speaker C: He's lying again.
[00:05:11] Speaker B: Bring in the squirrels.
[00:05:13] Speaker D: Speaking of conspiracy theories, have you ever thought about, like, how certain things, like, does somebody just come up with an idea that they know is false? Or do they just, like, think, huh? I bet that's why it is. And then they spread it?
[00:05:25] Speaker A: I'm gonna be honest. I don't want to talk about that on my.
[00:05:30] Speaker C: Oh, this is not a conspiracy theory podcast.
[00:05:34] Speaker A: It gets real political.
[00:05:35] Speaker C: I mean, we can try.
[00:05:38] Speaker D: I'm not giving specifics. I'm just wondering if people, like, wake up one day and think, I bet that's how it works, and then they start spreading and then it becomes a theory. Or possibly if maybe they're like, I'm gonna be malicious today.
[00:05:51] Speaker A: Little column A, little column B.
[00:05:54] Speaker D: Wait, what'd you say?
[00:05:55] Speaker A: A little bit of both.
[00:05:56] Speaker D: Oh, I.
Yeah, I heard. Little Gumby.
[00:06:01] Speaker A: Little Gumby.
[00:06:02] Speaker D: I miss Gumby.
[00:06:03] Speaker C: Little bit of column A, little bit
[00:06:04] Speaker A: of column B, little bit of Gumby.
[00:06:07] Speaker C: It's like a Venn diagram.
[00:06:11] Speaker D: When you said the column A and thing, I thought of Aladdin Genie. Another Robin Williams reference.
[00:06:17] Speaker C: What?
[00:06:18] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:06:18] Speaker B: Everywhere I go, I see his face.
[00:06:21] Speaker D: Never had a friend. Like, I think it's called friend like me. It is.
[00:06:24] Speaker A: It's very good.
[00:06:24] Speaker D: In Aladdin, he says, have a little bit of column A, a little bit
[00:06:28] Speaker C: of column B.
I don't remember that in the song.
[00:06:30] Speaker D: Never had a friend like Me.
[00:06:32] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:06:34] Speaker C: It's probably. You're probably right. But I. I don't.
[00:06:36] Speaker D: Probably right.
[00:06:37] Speaker C: I don't remember that in this.
[00:06:39] Speaker A: I love how offended you. Like, I know my Robin William songs.
[00:06:43] Speaker B: So they're trying to, like, do a play on words where it's like, you know, column A, like, in a list or something, but then it's just, like, actually, like, a Corinthian column, just, like, holding fruit or something. And you know what Corinthian column were customarily made out of marble.
Just like, oh, I was gonna. This room that you find yourselves gonna
[00:07:03] Speaker C: read the lyrics that I found.
[00:07:05] Speaker D: We all know that I'm right.
[00:07:06] Speaker A: Do it. He can't stop.
[00:07:08] Speaker C: Have some of column A. Try all of column B.
I'm in the mood to help you, dude. You ain't never had a friend like me.
[00:07:15] Speaker A: Okay, beautiful. Let's. Let's continue with this marble, now marble masterpiece.
[00:07:22] Speaker B: The marble cinematic universe.
[00:07:25] Speaker D: I want to watch.
[00:07:26] Speaker C: Everything's made out of Marble Gel's marbles.
[00:07:28] Speaker A: Oh, I love them.
[00:07:30] Speaker C: I haven't watched them this season. I'm sorry. It's fine.
[00:07:32] Speaker A: I don't watch their races.
[00:07:34] Speaker B: Having just completed the trial of skill, you find yourselves now back in the marble foyer with only one arch left. The trial of might, guys.
[00:07:45] Speaker D: I didn't know I could fly.
[00:07:49] Speaker C: You.
How did you not know you could fly?
[00:07:52] Speaker D: I never tried.
[00:07:54] Speaker C: Do you have the spell or is it in your boots?
[00:07:57] Speaker D: I do. It's a spell. But you know, never tried.
[00:08:00] Speaker A: He has to study to use his magic.
[00:08:02] Speaker C: I know.
[00:08:02] Speaker A: And he didn't.
[00:08:04] Speaker C: But he also can't read, so that's probably.
[00:08:06] Speaker D: All right. I'm standing in the room. Let's go to the next arch.
Before you say something,
[00:08:14] Speaker C: if he has to. Wait. If he has to study to learn magic, how does that happen? Does he learn through pictures?
[00:08:18] Speaker A: Yeah, they have like pop up books.
[00:08:20] Speaker D: The trial of might.
We might get this done today.
[00:08:28] Speaker C: I hope that SATA isn't too heartbroken.
[00:08:30] Speaker D: After an hour, I feel like he doesn't exist anymore.
Like once we came back here, it just.
[00:08:36] Speaker C: I'm going to choose to believe that he still exists.
[00:08:40] Speaker D: Always in your heart.
[00:08:41] Speaker B: And as you walk through the archway into the blinding light, you squint. And then suddenly you find yourself standing in an entirely different place.
You're in a wooded glen with a pool of water in the center.
[00:08:56] Speaker C: It just looked like the plane of water.
[00:08:57] Speaker A: It did. I was about to be like, I can't swim.
[00:09:01] Speaker B: On the opposite side of the pool from you stand three figures. There is a tall muscular woman with an axe in each hand.
There is a man with a mace and a like a glowing hand. And then there is a catfolk with a bow.
[00:09:19] Speaker C: That's a man.
[00:09:20] Speaker B: This one in the middle is a man.
[00:09:22] Speaker C: That's a man.
[00:09:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:23] Speaker C: I'm sorry. It looks like a woman with a pixie cut.
[00:09:25] Speaker B: He's offended.
[00:09:26] Speaker D: Is he?
[00:09:27] Speaker A: Stop offending.
[00:09:28] Speaker C: Look, I'm sorry, but it.
[00:09:31] Speaker A: Okay, the picture makes me side more with Abby now.
[00:09:34] Speaker C: See, I think it's his armor.
[00:09:37] Speaker B: Look at that chin though.
[00:09:39] Speaker D: He does have a very man toasted marshmallow.
[00:09:41] Speaker C: Some women have manly chins.
[00:09:43] Speaker A: I love the catfolk.
[00:09:45] Speaker C: Yes, the catfolk is very nice.
[00:09:47] Speaker D: You know, it doesn't really matter. We're probably gonna kill him anyway.
[00:09:49] Speaker C: Look at that catfolk.
[00:09:51] Speaker A: I want that cat.
[00:09:51] Speaker C: She's so sassy.
[00:09:52] Speaker A: I want it to be my friend so bad.
[00:09:55] Speaker C: Look at that ear that she has pierced.
[00:09:58] Speaker A: It looks like. No, I don't care about that one. Bring back the cat folk.
[00:10:02] Speaker D: Can I put them side by side?
[00:10:04] Speaker A: Beautiful.
[00:10:04] Speaker D: They're windows.
[00:10:05] Speaker A: It looks like it would hate it if you tried petting it. But then would like it if you pet it.
[00:10:09] Speaker C: I'm gonna pet it.
[00:10:10] Speaker D: Wait, why are there two cats? Did you open it?
[00:10:13] Speaker A: Twice.
[00:10:13] Speaker B: I thought you closed it, so I got you another one.
[00:10:16] Speaker D: All right. So for those who are listening, the
[00:10:18] Speaker C: woman is covered in tattoos.
[00:10:20] Speaker D: Nice. I have nothing for you that are listening. We tried to describe it to the Best of our ability.
[00:10:26] Speaker C: Listen, we're starting to get the ADHD hyperness going on and I'm not gonna guarantee that I'm gonna stay focused.
[00:10:32] Speaker B: O we've got a female barbarian type person, a female catfolk and a non binary mage dude with a marshmallow.
[00:10:40] Speaker C: A marshmallow.
[00:10:41] Speaker B: I know I've just contradicted myself, but I think.
[00:10:44] Speaker C: Well, he's also shorter than everyone else.
[00:10:47] Speaker B: What?
[00:10:47] Speaker A: So do we have to fight these guys? Can we just leave?
[00:10:51] Speaker D: Yes, you do.
[00:10:52] Speaker C: THEY shout across the POND oh, we have to fight. So this is a classic battle.
[00:10:57] Speaker B: Maybe I would like you all to roll for initiative.
[00:11:02] Speaker A: I'm gonna go that.
[00:11:03] Speaker C: Can I say no?
[00:11:04] Speaker A: I can.
[00:11:05] Speaker D: Well, you can say no. You can always say no.
[00:11:08] Speaker C: Dot com.
[00:11:09] Speaker B: There's a one of these enemies NPCs has a warfare lore and Foundry automatically rolled that for their initiative.
[00:11:15] Speaker A: Oh, that's cool.
Can you always do that?
[00:11:18] Speaker B: It's one of the perks of warfare lore.
[00:11:20] Speaker A: I didn't know that. I've never used warfare lore when I have it to roll for initiative.
[00:11:24] Speaker C: I did when I played Olero.
[00:11:25] Speaker A: Anyway, I got a one plus like 29 or 22. I'll double check my wisdom.
[00:11:31] Speaker B: More specific.
[00:11:33] Speaker A: No, 23. So 24 total.
[00:11:37] Speaker C: I got a one plus a 22.
[00:11:40] Speaker B: Zafir, did you?
[00:11:42] Speaker D: There's so many numbers being thrown around I forgot what my own were. Okay, 10 plus 23, 33 and Neros a 34. We're all around 30s.
[00:11:54] Speaker B: Neros, you're up first.
[00:11:56] Speaker C: Oh, that's unfortunate.
[00:11:59] Speaker B: As of yet, none of the three figures have made any aggressive motions, but they look as though they are about to attack you.
[00:12:06] Speaker C: Okay.
I don't like going first like ever.
They're all 50ft away from me.
What's so funny?
[00:12:20] Speaker A: Sorry. Jacob sent an image that says your opponent is just a picture of he Man. That's funny.
[00:12:24] Speaker C: Funny.
I'm going to move 25ft that way, which for the audience is southwest.
[00:12:37] Speaker B: So now you're circling around counterclockwise around
[00:12:39] Speaker C: the pool, approaching your. So now I am closer to the barbarian woman and in a 10 foot burst, 30ft from me. That works. Actually, I can get all of them.
Correct.
Correct.
[00:12:56] Speaker B: Yes. That's within range. In a ten foot burst.
[00:12:58] Speaker C: Okay, I'm going to cast Noise Blast.
[00:13:04] Speaker A: I heard it same.
[00:13:08] Speaker C: Shut up with your truck.
[00:13:09] Speaker B: Our neighbor is casting Noise Blast.
[00:13:11] Speaker C: And in a 10 foot burst. Which gets all of them. Thankfully. I need a fortitude, so save all right. From all of you.
[00:13:21] Speaker B: What's your DC31?
[00:13:25] Speaker D: I'm gonna go out there and kick his butt.
No, I'm not.
[00:13:28] Speaker B: The androgynous fellow in the middle failed, and the other two succeeded.
[00:13:36] Speaker C: Okay, well, on a success, they still take half damage, so that's. That's good. At least.
At least it's not nothing.
Speaking of noise blast.
[00:13:46] Speaker A: Excuse me.
[00:13:48] Speaker D: My headphones were not on.
I was saved.
[00:13:51] Speaker C: So the one that failed takes 18 points of damage, sonic damage.
And they are deafened for a round.
And then the two that succeeded take eight points of sonic damage.
Now, I'm regretting moving this close, but alas, I am here.
[00:14:11] Speaker B: It's okay. It's Zafir's turn.
Yes, Zafir.
[00:14:17] Speaker D: That had nothing to do with anything. I was. I was literally clearing my throat. How many. How many actions does it take to pull out my bow?
[00:14:23] Speaker A: 1.
[00:14:24] Speaker D: I do that and ready the single arrow I have in my quiver.
It catches on fire and I shoot it at the barbarian.
All right, Sorry, I'm pulling up my calculator.
No, no judgments.
[00:14:44] Speaker C: I'm not judging you. I use calculators for everything.
[00:14:48] Speaker D: The teachers always said you'll never have a calculator in your pocket wherever you go.
[00:14:51] Speaker C: Lies.
[00:14:53] Speaker D: Does a 43 hit?
[00:14:56] Speaker B: 43?
[00:14:59] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:15:00] Speaker C: Tell me that's a critical.
[00:15:01] Speaker B: That's a crit.
[00:15:02] Speaker D: Yeah, I would. 25 plus 18.
Yeah, calculator says it.
[00:15:08] Speaker A: Math, Maths.
[00:15:08] Speaker D: My bow has. Is it the deadly D10?
[00:15:11] Speaker A: Yeah, which adds after you double the damage.
[00:15:15] Speaker D: So 20 normal for fire, and then
[00:15:19] Speaker B: you can add your deadly D10.
[00:15:21] Speaker D: Oh, cool. Yeah, I rolled a two.
[00:15:25] Speaker B: Ah.
[00:15:26] Speaker A: Damage is damage.
[00:15:28] Speaker B: All right. And that flaming arrow just slashes through her and then blinks out of existence.
[00:15:35] Speaker D: Wait, what?
[00:15:35] Speaker B: And back into your quiver.
[00:15:37] Speaker D: Oh, I thought you meant the barbarian went out of existence. I was like, wait, she's down already.
[00:15:42] Speaker B: It is the Catfolk's turn.
She pulls out her Arbalest and then steps behind her friends.
What is Everybody's perception bonuses?
[00:15:57] Speaker D: 22, 21, 23.
[00:16:03] Speaker B: So she pulls out her Arbalest, steps behind her friends, and then kind of crouches down a little bit, and you get the sense she thinks she's being sneaky.
[00:16:10] Speaker D: I'm gonna act like I don't see her.
[00:16:12] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:16:13] Speaker A: Just out of respect, you know, I
[00:16:14] Speaker D: do that with my cats too.
[00:16:16] Speaker B: It's now the barbarian's turn. She's gonna spend one action charging up to Nero's. Yep. Her second action, as she runs up, she pulls out an axe, and with her third action, she swings down.
[00:16:32] Speaker C: Did you roll a natural 20?
[00:16:33] Speaker A: No. Did you roll an AT1 again.
[00:16:35] Speaker D: No. Did you roll a 2?
No.
[00:16:38] Speaker C: Did you roll a 19?
[00:16:39] Speaker B: For a total of a 41.
You okay over there, Jenkins?
[00:16:48] Speaker A: Really well timed.
[00:16:51] Speaker C: That's a critical hit.
[00:16:53] Speaker B: Ooh.
There's nothing like the feel of physical dice as you roll a player.
[00:16:59] Speaker D: Optimize.
[00:17:03] Speaker B: That's 50 slashing damage.
[00:17:05] Speaker D: Good grief.
[00:17:06] Speaker C: Cool.
That hurt real bad.
[00:17:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:17:10] Speaker B: Alward, your turn.
[00:17:12] Speaker A: So Alward was trying to pick out the right pieces of time to go first, but he gets distracted and he looks off confused. And then he sort of looks at the one in armor and is like, I don't know how to explain this to you, but something bad is about to happen.
Make a fortitude save.
[00:17:36] Speaker B: Which one?
[00:17:36] Speaker A: The one in armor. The mage knight.
[00:17:38] Speaker B: Oh, okay, question. Does that have the auditory trait?
Because he is still deaf at this point.
[00:17:46] Speaker A: It does not. It's just curse, divination and prediction 27.
That is a norm. Oh, wait, no. DC that is a fail.
So in 1D4 rounds, something bad is gonna happen to deal 55 damage to this person, as Alward predicts in an.
Words are hard.
[00:18:10] Speaker C: It's okay, buddy.
[00:18:12] Speaker A: Words are hard.
[00:18:13] Speaker D: Take your time.
[00:18:14] Speaker A: Thank you.
An inevitable disaster, and I'm supposed to
[00:18:21] Speaker B: secretly roll this and not tell you how many rounds?
[00:18:23] Speaker A: Yes, you also. I couldn't think of anything fun, so you also get to choose what happens.
[00:18:28] Speaker D: Just drops dead.
[00:18:29] Speaker B: The die has been struck.
[00:18:31] Speaker D: Had a hard time.
[00:18:32] Speaker A: I hope it's non, lethal, please.
[00:18:34] Speaker D: Technically, it wasn't you that did it. You just called it.
[00:18:36] Speaker A: That's true. It wasn't.
[00:18:38] Speaker B: Jenkins, you have one action left.
[00:18:40] Speaker A: Abby, do you still have a free hand?
[00:18:42] Speaker C: Both of my hands are free, okay? Because I don't have the paintball gun anymore.
[00:18:47] Speaker D: Or the tentacles.
[00:18:48] Speaker C: Or the tentacles I could have. Well, yeah, I can dismiss those whenever, so I'm sure they're gone.
[00:18:55] Speaker A: For my last action, I'm going to dismiss Time Pocket. And in your hand appears a health potion, A greater healing potion.
[00:19:03] Speaker C: I love it.
[00:19:04] Speaker A: I'm like, I told you it'd come up.
[00:19:08] Speaker C: Thank you.
[00:19:09] Speaker D: How long ago was that?
[00:19:11] Speaker C: It's been a while.
[00:19:12] Speaker A: Technically, I've been doing it every morning because Jordy's great, but, yeah, it's been a minute.
[00:19:16] Speaker C: It's been a while.
[00:19:17] Speaker B: It now goes to the androgynous magic dude at the other side of the pool. And he goes, what?
Albert? Who seems to have been shouting something at him. Then he shakes his head in confusion and gestures some magic runes, and then lobs a little tiny spark of fire that goes.
And then explodes into an inferno. Between the three of you, I'm going to need a reflex save from each of you as he casts fireball first.
[00:19:51] Speaker A: Rude.
[00:19:53] Speaker D: What's second?
[00:19:55] Speaker A: I'll tell you in a second if I need to.
[00:19:56] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:19:58] Speaker C: 35.
[00:19:59] Speaker D: 37.
[00:20:01] Speaker C: Something tells me I'm gonna need that potion.
[00:20:02] Speaker D: Dude.
[00:20:03] Speaker A: 35.
[00:20:04] Speaker C: What?
[00:20:06] Speaker B: All of you regular succeed.
[00:20:08] Speaker C: Oh, so half damage.
Preparing for war.
Getting all my dice out.
[00:20:19] Speaker B: Okay. I was double checking to make sure death and did not apply to him. Trying to cast a spell.
[00:20:24] Speaker C: It shouldn't. He shouldn't need to hear himself talk.
[00:20:27] Speaker B: All right, I have rolled damage.
After being halved, you will each take 10 fire damage.
[00:20:33] Speaker D: Oh, that's not awful.
[00:20:35] Speaker C: Speak for yourself.
[00:20:36] Speaker A: That's fair.
[00:20:38] Speaker C: I'm at 78 out of 138.
I'm literally. I'm getting so many dice out. I'm preparing for war.
[00:20:45] Speaker B: And with his final action, with his free hand, pulls out a mace.
[00:20:53] Speaker D: Is this the pepper spray or
[00:20:58] Speaker B: Neros? It is your turn again. You're standing face to face with an angry giant woman with an axe.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: The amount of dice that she's pulling out, that angry giant woman with an axe should be terrified.
She's still pulling out dice.
She has more.
[00:21:15] Speaker C: Told you. I'm preparing for war.
[00:21:17] Speaker A: I'm just in awe. It's like watching Mary pop and just pull stuff out, you know?
[00:21:22] Speaker B: I'm suddenly nervous.
[00:21:25] Speaker D: Don't worry about it.
[00:21:28] Speaker C: Hello, my babies.
It's an action to drink that potion, right?
[00:21:34] Speaker A: Y. Yes, it does have the manipulate trait, so be wary of that.
[00:21:38] Speaker B: That is correct. If this barbarian woman has a reactive strike, drinking the potion would let her hit you.
[00:21:46] Speaker C: Well, while I have that in my hand, it's just going to stay in my hand for when I need it.
And then on this barbarian woman, I need another Fortitude Safe, please.
[00:22:01] Speaker B: All right.
A regular success.
[00:22:05] Speaker C: Oh, it's a basic Fortitude safe.
[00:22:08] Speaker A: You should take half it damage.
[00:22:10] Speaker C: Okay.
How many?
[00:22:14] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:22:16] Speaker C: Hopefully this.
Hello? Okay.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10. 11.
[00:22:36] Speaker A: What did you.
[00:22:37] Speaker C: 12.
[00:22:38] Speaker A: Are those D8?
[00:22:39] Speaker C: 14.
[00:22:42] Speaker A: Oh, no. D6. 15.
[00:22:44] Speaker B: What is happening to my barbarian woman? 16.
[00:22:48] Speaker A: I. She keeps counting.
[00:22:50] Speaker C: I'm rolling. 16. D6.
[00:22:53] Speaker A: What spell did you get?
[00:22:55] Speaker C: Spirit blast.
[00:22:59] Speaker A: Oh, that's good.
[00:23:01] Speaker C: You should know by now, when you hit Neros with big bad damage, it kind of ticks her off.
[00:23:11] Speaker A: It's therapeutic.
[00:23:15] Speaker C: Okay, give me one. One moment.
[00:23:21] Speaker D: I like that one. That one's a really good one.
[00:23:24] Speaker C: She takes 30 points of spirit damage.
[00:23:27] Speaker A: Does that already have?
[00:23:28] Speaker C: Yes.
And then I would like to take
[00:23:33] Speaker A: a step back that's so much damage.
[00:23:37] Speaker B: I'm going to suck it.
I'm going to. For the sake of being fair, I'm gonna suggest that you stepped back before you cast the spell.
[00:23:48] Speaker A: Oh, because manipulate action of the spell. Yeah, yeah.
[00:23:52] Speaker B: Because otherwise she could have.
[00:23:53] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:23:54] Speaker B: Hit you while you were casting.
Okay. So you step back, you blast her with spirit damage and she just.
That is all she growls at. You know why I said that? She growls at you.
[00:24:09] Speaker C: That is all.
[00:24:11] Speaker D: Zafir, I need to place a huge creature size location within 100ft. That does not not hit Neros. That is a 60 foot emanation.
Does that make sense?
[00:24:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:27] Speaker C: Oh, I'm glad I took a step
[00:24:30] Speaker B: back for the view. For the listeners. This is covering about half of the map.
By placing it at the bottom of
[00:24:37] Speaker D: the map, I want to say that's.
[00:24:38] Speaker C: That's more than half the map.
[00:24:40] Speaker A: Yeah, It's a good 2/3 of the map.
[00:24:42] Speaker D: That's map half full.
[00:24:45] Speaker B: So what's happening in this emanation?
[00:24:47] Speaker D: From Alward's point of view, you can just see of fears.
Just his. His face somewhat drains.
And then in front of him, like quite far behind the two, the cat and the androgynous man, you can see from the ground rising up a swirling vortex of faces. You may not understand, but they are definitely relative to him starting to swirl and just be spooky and scary.
And they need to everybody in that area, all three of them need to attempt a Fortitude save.
[00:25:30] Speaker B: Alright. And what is the DC31?
They all get a regular success.
[00:25:37] Speaker C: If I had not stepped back, I would have been in this.
[00:25:41] Speaker A: I feel like he could have pushed it back one more all. Yeah.
[00:25:45] Speaker D: All three creatures are drained. One.
[00:25:49] Speaker C: Oh my gosh, that's good. What does that do?
[00:25:51] Speaker B: Effectively, game wise, it count makes their constitution modifier count as one lower Fortitude saves.
[00:25:58] Speaker C: Okay, nice.
[00:25:59] Speaker B: It also drops their match at max hp. So even the undamaged characters just took damage from being drained. Nice.
[00:26:07] Speaker D: By the way, this giant tornado of spinning faces is still there and it's just kinda buffeting.
And that is three actions. So my turn's over.
[00:26:22] Speaker B: All right, it's now the catfolk's turn.
Believing herself to be stealthed, she fires her Arbalest at Zafir for 32 to hit.
[00:26:34] Speaker D: Surprisingly does not.
[00:26:35] Speaker B: The bolt whizzes off into the bushes and she says cat version of darn.
And then reloads her crossbow and steps behind her friend.
Believe it or not, that is one action.
She crouches down all stealthy like again. But you can clearly see her.
So she's gonna try again and shoot. Shoot at Zafir again.
Because she thinks she sees stealth.
[00:27:03] Speaker D: Now, why me?
[00:27:04] Speaker B: Because you just hit her with magic and the second bolt whizzes off into the bushes on the other side.
[00:27:12] Speaker D: I'm gonna assume this tornadoes of faces is like blowing it off course.
[00:27:18] Speaker B: It's just the second bolt just like gets caught in the mouth of one of the faces.
[00:27:24] Speaker D: I can use that later.
Just take it.
Well, maybe I can't, because it'll probably disappear when we finish off these people.
[00:27:32] Speaker C: What is that face for?
[00:27:35] Speaker B: The woman with the axe.
[00:27:36] Speaker C: Oh, no.
[00:27:38] Speaker B: Steps around Neros.
[00:27:40] Speaker C: What?
[00:27:41] Speaker B: And then tries to shove her backwards into the tornado.
What is your fortitude, DC?
[00:27:49] Speaker D: Well, now, hold on, hold on. Yeah, I don't think that affects anyone. Coming into it.
[00:27:54] Speaker B: She doesn't know what's going on. She's just like, bad stuff happened to me in here. I'm putting my enemy in there.
Neros, what is your fortitude? DC32 with a success. She just shoves you back one space into this vortex and nothing happens to you.
The woman with the ax looks very disappointed.
Steps up towards you again.
[00:28:18] Speaker D: She should be demoralized.
[00:28:19] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh.
There's other. There's two other people. Well, still hit them.
[00:28:25] Speaker A: Shove step.
[00:28:26] Speaker B: So it's girl to girl alward. Your turn.
[00:28:31] Speaker A: Alward is like thinking. It's like, I hope I don't regret this. And then runs behind the barbarian woman.
Is there a way I can aim a 15 foot cone so it doesn't hit Neros?
[00:28:43] Speaker B: Who are you trying to hit?
[00:28:44] Speaker A: The barbarian. The barbarian woman?
[00:28:47] Speaker B: No, not from where you just moved to.
[00:28:50] Speaker A: Well, I want to get flanking, but I don't think flanking is worth that.
Okay, so put me back one more. Okay, I have enough movement. That'll work. Sorry, no flanking for Neros.
[00:29:05] Speaker C: That's okay. I'm gonna die anyway.
[00:29:08] Speaker A: No.
[00:29:08] Speaker B: Okay, so now you're just standing at the far northern edge of the clearing, 15ft away, so you can do your 15 foot cone without hitting near us.
[00:29:16] Speaker A: Mega fortitude. Save. All right, I know that's bad because good fortitude, but hey. Minus one.
[00:29:21] Speaker B: So what is your DC32?
A regular success.
[00:29:28] Speaker A: Okay, our reaches out and grips on a golden thread of time and yanks on it. And she is launched backwards in time.
They witness the chaotic flow of time and being bashed against objects from different times. They get dealt 5d8 mental damage and 5d6 bludgeoning damage.
And since they succeeded half damage and they fall into time and disappear until the end of my turn, which would happen immediately after I cast the spell.
[00:29:58] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:29:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:29:59] Speaker B: So roll your damage.
[00:30:01] Speaker A: I, unlike Abby, did not prepare for war.
[00:30:05] Speaker C: Always prepare for four.
[00:30:09] Speaker A: I forgot what a D8 looks like. And I keep trying to grab a D10.
[00:30:13] Speaker C: It's the one with eight sides on it.
[00:30:15] Speaker A: Thanks.
[00:30:18] Speaker C: Four,
[00:30:20] Speaker A: five, 24. Bludgeoning. Damage half to 12. 21, half to 10. Mental.
[00:30:31] Speaker B: And she is bloodied.
[00:30:34] Speaker A: That is my turn.
[00:30:35] Speaker B: She, like, blinks out of existence and then reappears kind of like staggering for a little bit and just rubbing her forehead. Like, what did I just witness?
[00:30:43] Speaker A: As she comes back, I was like, I didn't know I could do that. And he gets real excited.
Oh, really excited.
[00:30:54] Speaker B: It's now the androgynous fellow with the mace on the other side of the pond's turn. And he looks around and goes, what?
How long was he deafened again?
[00:31:06] Speaker C: Abby around.
[00:31:07] Speaker B: Oh, okay. So he is now undeafined.
[00:31:09] Speaker D: Oh, thank goodness.
[00:31:10] Speaker B: He raises his mace, and as he swings it down in a spell casting gesture, he disappears.
[00:31:19] Speaker A: It's not going to prevent what's coming to you, my guy.
[00:31:22] Speaker C: Unless it makes him teleport.
[00:31:24] Speaker B: Neros, it's your turn.
[00:31:26] Speaker C: I am taking a step back.
[00:31:29] Speaker B: You bump into somebody.
[00:31:39] Speaker A: Was all good laid plans of mice and men.
[00:31:41] Speaker B: And you hear what?
[00:31:45] Speaker D: This guy is clueless.
How did he become a trial person?
[00:31:52] Speaker B: This guy is cracking me up.
[00:31:54] Speaker A: Did that take Abby's action?
I'm not trying to. Sorry, Abby.
[00:32:00] Speaker B: Since you were taking a step, I think it would consume that action. If you were striding, then I would be like, no, you still have the rest of your movement.
[00:32:08] Speaker C: I'm gonna risk it and go ahead and drink that potion.
[00:32:11] Speaker B: And the woman with the axe will take her chance to swing.
[00:32:15] Speaker A: Sweet. Miss.
[00:32:18] Speaker B: She misses.
[00:32:18] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:32:19] Speaker B: Thank goodness she only got a 26.
[00:32:23] Speaker C: Okay, so I got 49 points of healing from that.
[00:32:28] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:32:29] Speaker C: Thank you, Jenkins.
Takes me like 10 away from Max.
[00:32:33] Speaker A: That's good.
[00:32:35] Speaker D: Hey, that's where we are.
[00:32:36] Speaker B: I'd say you have one action left. And the lady with the axe has burned. Her reaction cannot do another attack.
[00:32:45] Speaker C: I'm gonna magic missile her.
[00:32:48] Speaker A: The old Nero's magic missile.
[00:32:50] Speaker C: What is that? One D4 plus plus one plus one. So two.
We'll do the sharp D4.
[00:32:59] Speaker D: Oh, it does feel like a little missile.
[00:33:01] Speaker A: I love how flat that landed.
[00:33:04] Speaker C: I don't.
[00:33:05] Speaker A: How was it?
[00:33:05] Speaker C: Bad. It's three points of damage.
[00:33:08] Speaker A: Then damage sucks.
But damage is damage.
[00:33:12] Speaker B: She takes it and she growls a little less. Certainly this time,
[00:33:18] Speaker C: he's right behind me, guys.
[00:33:21] Speaker A: Noted, Zafir.
[00:33:23] Speaker D: Okay, so I didn't think about what I needed to do because I knew something was going to happen at the end of my turn. But I can still make things happen, I guess.
When it comes to casting a spell, Would I have put my bow out or put my bow up?
[00:33:47] Speaker B: No, you can just use your free hand that usually, you know, pulls the string.
[00:33:53] Speaker D: So I recharge my spell strike, I pull back my bow, and this time, instead of fire.
You know what? Yeah. I'm just going to put the. The ignition back on.
[00:34:06] Speaker A: I'm going to be real sad. If you rolled a four on inevitable disaster.
I'm not going to see what happens.
[00:34:15] Speaker B: You guys are walking out, you know, having one, and then there's an explosion behind you.
[00:34:21] Speaker D: That's a lot of freaking D6.
Sorry. I don't even know if I'm going to hit.
I'm probably gonna hit 42.
[00:34:31] Speaker B: That's a crit.
[00:34:32] Speaker D: This is going straight for the barbarianism.
[00:34:36] Speaker B: Barbarianism, Yep.
[00:34:38] Speaker A: Such a disease plugging this world.
[00:34:40] Speaker D: I feel like this is gonna be way overkill.
[00:34:42] Speaker B: All right, so you'll need your arrow. Damage the flame run, damage the ignition damage, double it. Then add your D10.
[00:34:50] Speaker D: Okay, that is almost max. Wow.
So it's 15 arrow 5, fire plus 23.
[00:35:10] Speaker A: Okay, so it'd be 20 plus 23. Okay, so 43 times 2. Okay, so 86 plus a D10.
[00:35:18] Speaker D: I rolled a 5 on the D10.
[00:35:21] Speaker A: 91.
[00:35:22] Speaker D: Is there anything else you imbued?
Did I plus 3? No.
[00:35:28] Speaker A: 97.
[00:35:30] Speaker B: You imbue your arrow with flame, it flies true, strikes dead into the axe wielding woman's chest, and she staggers back, falls to one knee, and then just like fades out as she looks like she was dying. And then she just kind of fades away.
[00:35:50] Speaker D: Fear just goes.
And then for the other two, I'm going to request that the circle just move up slightly because it can. It's got a 60 foot movement. I'm just gonna center to the middle of the map. Not even gonna worry about the other targets because it's not going to target my friends, just the enemies. Does it matter that the other one is invisible?
[00:36:13] Speaker A: No.
[00:36:14] Speaker B: No.
[00:36:14] Speaker C: Okay, he's right behind me.
[00:36:16] Speaker D: A will save.
[00:36:17] Speaker B: Will saves.
[00:36:21] Speaker A: I really hope they fail because this is going to be devastating for them.
[00:36:24] Speaker B: They both fail?
[00:36:25] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:36:26] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:36:26] Speaker C: Is it like a lot of damage?
[00:36:28] Speaker A: No, it's a really bad effect.
[00:36:30] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:36:31] Speaker D: Both of them are frightened. 3.
[00:36:35] Speaker A: 3.
[00:36:37] Speaker C: Does that make them run away?
[00:36:39] Speaker A: No. So it makes all of their ACs into hits, I think minus three.
[00:36:43] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh.
[00:36:44] Speaker D: So from what you see, the two of you, you see these masks, or not masks, these faces spinning around in circles, and all of a sudden you just hear it scream Zafir.
But to them it sounds like.
Like ice picks in their ears, basically.
And then they kind of just fade
[00:37:05] Speaker B: down and near us. You hear from the space right behind you.
[00:37:09] Speaker C: What
[00:37:12] Speaker A: if they critically failed? They would have been fleeing one.
[00:37:14] Speaker C: Yeah, that makes sense.
That's amazing.
[00:37:18] Speaker D: I'm glad that worked out.
[00:37:21] Speaker B: It is now the Catfolk's turn.
She shakingly pulls out a bolt, loads it into a harbalist, points it at Zephyr's head and fires.
[00:37:31] Speaker D: I yell, I can see you.
[00:37:36] Speaker B: Oh, I forgot. A necessary step in here. She shakily puts the bolt in, points it at your head, picks up a rock, throws it off to the side.
Oh, she's creating a diversion.
[00:37:51] Speaker C: She's so bad at this.
[00:37:54] Speaker D: I can't see you anymore because there's a rock over there moving. That's crazy.
[00:37:58] Speaker B: What is your will save or your perception DC? Excuse me?
[00:38:03] Speaker D: Okay, what's the perception DC? Is that 20? I mean. Sorry, perception plus something.
[00:38:08] Speaker B: Doesn't matter.
[00:38:10] Speaker D: I need to know this for later.
[00:38:12] Speaker B: The rock just goes on the ground next to her with a nat one on the diversion. Oh, and then for her strike check against you, I don't think a 26 hits.
It goes off into the vicinity.
[00:38:28] Speaker A: This poor Catfolk, she's so bad.
[00:38:33] Speaker B: Alward, it's your turn.
[00:38:37] Speaker A: Let's go ahead and have the Catfolk make me a Will save.
[00:38:43] Speaker B: All right.
[00:38:44] Speaker A: Oh, wait. I have to be within 30ft of them, so let me move closer.
Yeah, and then a will save.
[00:38:50] Speaker B: Will save. Oh, my goodness. A 17.
[00:38:54] Speaker A: Oh, wait.
That's a critical failure.
[00:39:01] Speaker C: I wasn't sure at first if you were happy or not very happy.
That's a critical failure.
[00:39:08] Speaker A: Okay, so I cast Behold the Weave in a critical failure.
This is a lot. The target must commit to to all actions for their next turn.
And they must say so. Like, I will stride toward this. I will do this. I will attack this.
And they cannot change them if they are in a position to where they can't do it. I believe they lose their action because they reel in a temporal paradox.
[00:39:36] Speaker B: She is going to attempt to reload her Arbalest and then attempt to headshot Zafir.
[00:39:42] Speaker A: Okay.
And then I'm going to yell at Zafir, go hide behind that rock and point to the rock that's in the pond.
[00:39:55] Speaker D: I was gonna Say, the one that the Catfolk threw?
[00:39:58] Speaker A: No, the boulder that's in the pond.
And that's my turn.
[00:40:02] Speaker B: All right, it's now the invisible. What? Gun guy's turn.
[00:40:07] Speaker A: What?
[00:40:09] Speaker C: What?
[00:40:09] Speaker D: What?
[00:40:10] Speaker B: What?
He suddenly pops back into view as he swings his mace. And then suddenly all of these just like semi transparent duplicates of his mace just appear and are just whirling in a ten foot burst, hitting both Alward and Neros.
I'm going to need you each to make a reflex save.
[00:40:35] Speaker C: Well, that die immediately needs to go to jail.
Can I use a hero point to roll? Yeah, that's what I'm doing.
And this die is going to jail.
Natural.
[00:40:59] Speaker B: So, Nero, somehow all of these semi transparent maces that appear in the space just barely miss you as you find just the right way to stand so they don't hit.
[00:41:07] Speaker A: I too. I'm gonna use a hero point.
[00:41:09] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:41:09] Speaker A: To reroll.
[00:41:11] Speaker C: I give you all my luck.
[00:41:14] Speaker A: You can't for you've already used it.
[00:41:15] Speaker C: Oh, I'm sorry.
[00:41:16] Speaker A: That made me roll an AT one. But thankfully. Thankfully, that one doesn't count because. Hero point.
[00:41:21] Speaker C: I'm so sorry.
[00:41:22] Speaker A: It's good. I was debating between using a hero point or using some of my time abilities. If I use my time abilities, I would have had to take that NAT one, so I'm glad I'm.
[00:41:30] Speaker C: Yeah. At least you used a hero point.
[00:41:32] Speaker A: You said reflex.
[00:41:33] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:41:34] Speaker A: 30.
[00:41:35] Speaker B: So you get a success. Okay, so you'll take half damage, which is nine bludgeoning damage.
[00:41:41] Speaker D: Nine.
[00:41:42] Speaker C: Nine.
[00:41:43] Speaker B: And he looks like smugly at alward, like. Yeah, you take that nine damage if it helps.
[00:41:50] Speaker A: You've done the most damage to me out of anyone.
I think. No, the bears. The. The witch. I forgot about the witch.
[00:41:59] Speaker C: No, I forgot about the bears.
[00:42:02] Speaker B: He looks a little offended and he raises his mace and just like points it at you to shoot out a dart of magic.
[00:42:09] Speaker C: Did you just. Magic missile, my friend. Huh?
[00:42:14] Speaker B: Oh, wow. That's actually really good.
[00:42:16] Speaker C: He took a play out of the Nero's handbook.
[00:42:19] Speaker B: And you take 12 force damage.
[00:42:21] Speaker A: What?
[00:42:22] Speaker C: How?
[00:42:23] Speaker B: It's not exactly.
[00:42:24] Speaker C: That's not magic missile.
[00:42:25] Speaker B: It's not force barrage. It's force bolt focus spell.
It's the.
[00:42:31] Speaker C: It is a little better.
[00:42:32] Speaker B: It's the evocation wizard focus spell. That's like a repeatable buff.
[00:42:36] Speaker A: That's cool.
[00:42:37] Speaker B: Dart.
[00:42:38] Speaker A: How dare he.
[00:42:39] Speaker C: You got. You took 12.
[00:42:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:42:41] Speaker C: I'm sorry.
[00:42:42] Speaker A: It's okay.
[00:42:43] Speaker B: Nero sits. Your turn.
[00:42:44] Speaker C: I would like to step to this.
To. To the right.
[00:42:51] Speaker A: She would like to slide to the
[00:42:53] Speaker C: right and I would like to. Dang it.
[00:43:01] Speaker A: I'm sorry. That snuck up on me.
[00:43:03] Speaker D: It snuck up on us too.
[00:43:06] Speaker A: Sometimes I try to hold them.
[00:43:08] Speaker C: The range is 120ft, but the area is a 30 foot cone.
[00:43:14] Speaker A: That's really good.
But I don't think with how they're positioned, there'd be a way for you to get her in the other one.
[00:43:23] Speaker B: Yeah, you could try shoving him instead of sidestepping.
[00:43:27] Speaker A: That is true.
[00:43:28] Speaker C: Sure. Let's try to shove this guy. I have to roll basically a natural 20 to do this.
Nope.
That's a four total.
[00:43:43] Speaker B: You reach out and you press against his chest and he just goes.
Hi.
Wait. What?
[00:43:51] Speaker C: Some. Some very nice pecs you have there.
[00:43:55] Speaker D: Whoa. Whoa. This guy's not real.
[00:43:57] Speaker B: What?
[00:43:59] Speaker D: I don't think he's real.
[00:44:00] Speaker C: Dang it. I was really hoping for an aoe.
[00:44:03] Speaker A: Yeah, it's really hard when they're not separated.
[00:44:05] Speaker C: Oh, I guess I could do this instead.
Because if. If I do a fifth, if I do a line, I could get both of them.
[00:44:14] Speaker B: You can.
[00:44:15] Speaker C: I'm gonna do that. Then I need a basic reflex or will save.
[00:44:21] Speaker B: Do they choose or do you choose?
[00:44:23] Speaker C: Says target's choice.
[00:44:28] Speaker B: So the guy right in front of you gets a regular fail.
[00:44:31] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:44:32] Speaker B: The catfolk gets a crit fail.
[00:44:33] Speaker A: Nice.
That poor catfolk.
[00:44:36] Speaker B: So she's done nothing.
[00:44:38] Speaker C: He gets. He gets like full damage. She gets two times. Two times damage.
Two times damage.
I need 68.
[00:44:50] Speaker B: What are you casting?
[00:44:51] Speaker C: Shadow Blast.
[00:44:52] Speaker A: Oh, Shadow Blast is a line.
[00:44:55] Speaker C: It's a.
A 30 foot cone, a 15 foot burst or a 50 foot line.
[00:45:00] Speaker A: That's amazing.
[00:45:02] Speaker C: Five.
Six. I said six. Yes.
Six D eight.
And I get to choose the type of damage. I can choose between acid, bludgeoning, cold electricity, fire, force, piercing, slashing, sonic, or spirit.
We're gonna choose bludgeoning.
[00:45:20] Speaker A: Bludgeoning's good. It's good damage.
[00:45:22] Speaker C: I rolled three eights. Just so you know, this one's cocked.
[00:45:26] Speaker D: I don't know if I'm going to get another turn.
[00:45:31] Speaker C: So the guy that just normal failed gets 40 points of damage.
Of bludgeoning damage. Oh, and the cat lady, if you multiply 40 times 2, gets 80 points of bludgeoning damage.
[00:45:47] Speaker B: So she's bloodied as just this burst of shadow energy emanates from Neros and just slams into the both of them.
Oh, so is he. They are both bloodied now.
[00:46:01] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:46:01] Speaker C: Do I still have an action or.
[00:46:04] Speaker B: You attempted to show.
[00:46:05] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, that's. You're right. You're right. So I am done.
[00:46:08] Speaker D: Zafir I wish that I had another action to throw a rock just to fight her.
[00:46:15] Speaker C: That would be funny.
[00:46:17] Speaker A: Anyway, as a reminder, you don't have to do this. I did ask you to go behind the rock again. You don't have to. It's your turn.
[00:46:24] Speaker D: If I do that, I can't do anything.
[00:46:27] Speaker A: You can shoot from behind the rock.
[00:46:29] Speaker D: I mean, I can shoot, but I can't really do much damage. That's fair, because I have to recharge my spell strike.
[00:46:34] Speaker A: Yeah, no, you're good. You don't have to.
[00:46:36] Speaker D: Do you have a reason for me
[00:46:37] Speaker A: to go behind the rock? She can't headshot you, most likely if you're behind the rock. Which means she waits two actions.
[00:46:43] Speaker D: That is a good thought. But I don't think she can headshot me anyway.
[00:46:47] Speaker A: Oh, no. She can't use the action to headshot you.
[00:46:51] Speaker D: Yes.
I'm. I'm just saying she won't succeed no matter what.
[00:46:56] Speaker A: I'm gonna laugh if she succeeds this time and you take like a hundred damage.
[00:47:00] Speaker D: I just don't think it's gonna. I just don't think she's gonna have a chance.
[00:47:04] Speaker A: Oh, you think? You're on, killer.
[00:47:05] Speaker D: Oh, yeah.
[00:47:06] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:47:06] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Anyway, I'm going straight for her.
[00:47:10] Speaker C: Never underestimate the casters in this group.
[00:47:14] Speaker D: You know, I'm. I'm going to.
[00:47:15] Speaker C: We're doing such a good job.
[00:47:17] Speaker D: I'm actually going to use a hero point card because I just rolled a three.
[00:47:22] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:47:23] Speaker C: Ow.
[00:47:24] Speaker A: Kind of talked up your entire turn there.
[00:47:26] Speaker D: Yeah, I know.
[00:47:26] Speaker B: Are you doing a spell strike with ignition on her?
[00:47:29] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:47:29] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:47:31] Speaker C: Remix back to with.
[00:47:32] Speaker D: That's a lot better.
[00:47:34] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:47:34] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:47:34] Speaker C: So sorry I had to pop.
[00:47:36] Speaker D: And 35.
[00:47:38] Speaker B: That is a regular hit.
[00:47:42] Speaker D: Perfectly fine.
I'm now second guessing myself.
Don't know why.
[00:47:47] Speaker C: Don't do it.
[00:47:48] Speaker D: It's 10 plus three. That's 13 plus two. Fire. Plus 26 more fire from ignition.
[00:47:58] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:47:59] Speaker D: So I don't remember what numbers I said.
[00:48:01] Speaker B: I got him.
So she takes do a total of 38 damage and is on her last legs.
[00:48:10] Speaker A: Oh, should have moved behind the rock.
[00:48:12] Speaker B: Well, she looks down tremblingly at her burning hands.
Starts reaching for the bolt pouch.
Then it is her turn.
She reloads.
On slow motion. She raises the arbalest to point at Zafir.
[00:48:29] Speaker D: I'm gonna look her dead in the eye and just stand with my arms spread open. Come here, get me. I'm a big open target. I'm not a very big target.
[00:48:38] Speaker B: She throws a rock.
What was your perception Again,
[00:48:44] Speaker A: that's a good question.
[00:48:45] Speaker D: I never figured that out.
[00:48:47] Speaker A: Perception plus. Yeah, sorry, wait.
[00:48:49] Speaker D: Perception plus.
[00:48:50] Speaker A: No, no, no. He's just asking.
[00:48:52] Speaker B: 21 serpent. DC is 31.
[00:48:55] Speaker D: 31.
[00:48:56] Speaker B: She throws the rock. This time it goes a lot further than you were expecting and momentarily you just have a twitch.
And in that moment where you're off guard, she fires.
[00:49:09] Speaker D: All right, all right.
[00:49:10] Speaker A: So is throwing the rock part of headshot?
[00:49:12] Speaker B: It is. Okay with a 35 against your off guard AC.
[00:49:18] Speaker C: Oh no.
That would have beat his normal AC.
[00:49:24] Speaker D: My AC is 34 without the off guard. So she hits you should have went behind the rock.
[00:49:31] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh.
[00:49:33] Speaker D: Zafir, don't worry about it.
[00:49:37] Speaker A: I'm so proud of this cat lady.
[00:49:41] Speaker D: Me too.
[00:49:44] Speaker C: Finally hits him.
[00:49:45] Speaker B: You take 17 piercing damage.
[00:49:50] Speaker D: Ow, my nose.
[00:49:53] Speaker B: The bolt rattles your head and you become dazzled.
[00:49:59] Speaker D: Well, I've always been dazzling.
[00:50:01] Speaker A: That's fair.
[00:50:02] Speaker B: So dazzled makes it so that you everybody else is concealed to you. So you have to like, make concealment checks to target others as you're seeing stars from the bolt Alward at the start of your turn.
[00:50:17] Speaker C: Does it happen.
[00:50:19] Speaker B: So you know how near us did Shadow blast? This bolt of concussive force echoed through the forest.
Suddenly you hear the sound of wood as a tree comes falling down and lands with the top of the trunk slamming down on this guy.
[00:50:38] Speaker A: I tried to tell him.
[00:50:39] Speaker B: And he is flattened under the tree.
[00:50:43] Speaker A: Alward points to everyone heard. I tried to tell him.
[00:50:47] Speaker D: That is amazing. Wait, what happened?
[00:50:50] Speaker B: So that guy is done and slowly he fades out from under the tree.
[00:50:55] Speaker C: That is so good.
[00:50:59] Speaker A: That's like my favorite spell.
[00:51:01] Speaker C: That's hilarious.
I tried to tell him.
[00:51:05] Speaker A: I tried.
[00:51:07] Speaker C: He really should have listened to you.
[00:51:10] Speaker A: I think he was deaf at the time.
Speaking of trying to tell people. Zafir, I told you.
[00:51:16] Speaker D: Don't worry about it. Rubs temples.
[00:51:19] Speaker B: Alward, it is your turn. And the only remaining combatant on the opposing side is the Catfolk.
[00:51:24] Speaker C: Get her.
[00:51:25] Speaker B: She is still frightened. 1.
[00:51:28] Speaker A: Can you just surrender and we be done with this?
[00:51:31] Speaker B: No, we fight for our freedom.
[00:51:34] Speaker A: What does that even mean?
Are we the bad guys? Are they in the same situation?
[00:51:39] Speaker C: I have no idea.
[00:51:40] Speaker D: I think their freedom is leaving this place.
I don't know. I can't see. What's going on?
[00:51:47] Speaker C: Nothing was explained. We're just here fighting.
[00:51:49] Speaker A: These people Will save.
[00:51:52] Speaker B: Will save.
[00:51:52] Speaker D: Mm.
[00:51:53] Speaker A: Wait, let me make sure I'm in range. Yes, we'll save.
[00:51:56] Speaker B: So does anything special happen on a nat one?
[00:52:02] Speaker A: So they become agitate. I cast agitate on them at Level one.
And at a critical failure, it lasts for four rounds.
[00:52:11] Speaker C: Oh my gosh, this lady is gonna die.
[00:52:15] Speaker A: They have to take the stride, fly or swim action at least once per turn or take 2D8 mental damage.
And then you know what, I'm just. I'm gonna turn to Neros, be like, you go get him. You go get him, Neros. And give her guidance for my last action.
[00:52:33] Speaker B: Neros, at the top of round five, it is your turn.
[00:52:38] Speaker A: Be careful.
[00:52:40] Speaker C: Yes, thank you. Eat him. Eat him. I'm going to move up to be within 30ft of the cat creature and I'm making an attack roll against the AC.
Oh, I'm casting telekinetic projectile with plus one. With a plus me plus one.
[00:52:58] Speaker A: Yeah. I gave you guidance for attack rolls.
[00:53:02] Speaker C: 41 to hit.
[00:53:03] Speaker B: That's a crit.
[00:53:05] Speaker C: I rolled a 19 on the die.
[00:53:07] Speaker A: So good. This.
I don't know what was up with this party of other adventurers. I feel so bad for them.
[00:53:15] Speaker C: This is just a cantrip. Btw.
[00:53:18] Speaker A: Yeah, telekinetic projectile is great, but since
[00:53:20] Speaker C: I'm now level 13, I get to deal 8d6 damage since it was a critical success. It's times 2.
[00:53:30] Speaker D: Please tell me you're gonna use the rocks that she threw.
[00:53:33] Speaker A: Oh, please, yes.
[00:53:34] Speaker C: Oh, sure. That's funny.
[00:53:36] Speaker D: I'm kind of surprised that she was able to find so many rocks right next to her.
[00:53:40] Speaker C: 6, 7, and 8.
Told you guys I was preparing for war and you all laughed at me.
[00:53:48] Speaker A: I wasn't. I was just impressed about how many, how many dice you have.
[00:53:53] Speaker C: So many. This is again, this is not all of them.
So since these are rocks that I'm hurling hurling at her, it's going to be bludgeoning damage, not a great roll. But since it's times two, I'm not too upset about that. She's bloodied, so I don't think this is.
[00:54:11] Speaker A: I think she's beyond bloody.
[00:54:13] Speaker C: I think this is gonna take her out.
58 points of bludgeoning damage.
[00:54:19] Speaker B: So Neros, you step up with a flick of your finger, one of those rocks that she had tossed earlier just goes clobbers her in the head. And she spins around for a little bit, tries to gather her footing, and then as she falls to the ground, she just fades out.
[00:54:35] Speaker A: Not a good roll. Deal.
[00:54:36] Speaker D: What do you think of that headshot?
[00:54:39] Speaker B: And for a brief moment, you are all standing in this quiet, calm, moonlit forest and suddenly it grows brighter and brighter to white light. And then just before you're blind, it all fades away and you find yourselves blinking and standing back in the dining hall of the palace in Nithvale.
And that's where we'll end this episode.
[00:55:04] Speaker D: One of us is going to have to do a time sense. Right.
[00:55:06] Speaker C: You know, put a note somewhere, Jenkins, to do time sense. Right. Time right when we start the next episode.
[00:55:13] Speaker B: Time sense and shenanigans.
All right. And the hero point for this episode goes to Jenkins for his tactical spells. Got to use some really niche abilities that really paid off in this episode.
[00:55:28] Speaker A: It was fun. It was great. I loved this episode. I hope you all love this episode too.
I think I'm going to go home and make sure my basement isn't flooded.
[00:55:39] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I hope it's not.
[00:55:42] Speaker A: I'm not going to get on it on Mike, but it's. It's fine.
[00:55:44] Speaker C: I'm sorry. Pool.
Yeah, Free pool.
[00:55:48] Speaker A: Woohoo.
[00:55:48] Speaker C: Just add some chlorine to it.
[00:55:49] Speaker A: It'll be perfect.
Underground under house. Pool party everywhere.
[00:55:54] Speaker D: Oh yeah.
[00:55:56] Speaker B: Well, we here at Atomic Broadcasting hope that you all have the best underground pool party day you can ever have.
[00:56:02] Speaker A: You're all invited.
[00:56:04] Speaker B: We'll see you all in the next episode.

[00:57:01] Speaker C: Shut up with your truck.
[00:57:02] Speaker B: Our neighbor is casting noise Blast.
[00:57:04] Speaker D: We should all go out there and look intimidating and just go. We're trying to play games.
[00:57:10] Speaker A: I thought you were about to say we should go out there and lick his motorcycle.
[00:57:14] Speaker C: Oh, that would. That would be weird. That might get him to stop.
[00:57:16] Speaker D: I can see where your mind's going.
[00:57:18] Speaker B: Just one at a time. Just bend down. Lick the motorcycle.
[00:57:21] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:57:21] Speaker A: Think about that guy.
