Episode Transcript
[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part. Such as, like, comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: No.
[00:00:31] Speaker C: Where did we leave off?
[00:00:34] Speaker C: Ah, yes.
[00:00:38] Speaker C: After passing an aggressive elemental guardian, the party boarded the floating cloud castle of the Storm King.
But before they could properly look around, they heard a voice.
Alerted to their presence.
[00:00:55] Speaker D: Characters will be moving. They're on, like, multiple places in the page as, like, they've moved in. Like, so there's a lot of different interactions happening all in the same image.
[00:01:05] Speaker E: See, it's sad that that's actually like, a thing. Like, I thought I was being funny. It looks like it ended up being a thing.
It's like one time I walked into Subway and I said, I want a sandwich that's completely made of cheese. And they're like, oh, you want the cheese bread?
[00:01:19] Speaker B: Grilled cheese?
[00:01:21] Speaker E: Well, no, they have a bread baked with cheese. And I'm like, no, that. I. Well, I was just making a joke.
[00:01:28] Speaker B: Italian herbs and cheese, I guess.
[00:01:30] Speaker E: I don't know. I don't really get Italian white. I'm super boring.
[00:01:34] Speaker D: I get herb and cheese. I like it.
[00:01:36] Speaker C: It's good.
[00:01:36] Speaker E: Really boring.
[00:01:37] Speaker A: Did somebody say cheese?
[00:01:38] Speaker B: Get out of here spell? We don't need the.
[00:01:41] Speaker F: We don't need to talk about cheese.
[00:01:43] Speaker E: And we have yet to try.
[00:01:44] Speaker D: You mean the four of you? That was just make a grilled cheese, but make it circular.
[00:01:48] Speaker B: Just do it.
[00:01:51] Speaker C: And a pizza.
[00:01:52] Speaker D: We get a pizza.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: I want a calzone.
[00:01:56] Speaker F: Now get a lot of butter.
[00:01:58] Speaker B: Very good.
[00:01:59] Speaker D: A lot of butter.
[00:02:02] Speaker F: That. That bit forever lives in my mind.
[00:02:05] Speaker D: Yeah. I'm just welcome.
[00:02:07] Speaker F: You know, Sven trying to describe how.
[00:02:09] Speaker D: To make his version of a grilled cheese atomic breakfast. One of the episodes needs to be Sven makes us grilled cheese.
[00:02:15] Speaker E: What a weird breakfast item.
[00:02:17] Speaker G: The Sven bit that always lives in my mind is the espresso story.
[00:02:21] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:02:21] Speaker F: It's. Yeah.
[00:02:22] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I was like, what is that?
[00:02:26] Speaker E: Which was that?
[00:02:26] Speaker B: It's oh, yeah.
[00:02:31] Speaker F: Where's the rest of it?
[00:02:34] Speaker A: I didn't know.
[00:02:35] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:02:36] Speaker F: I mean, if it was the only thing you knew, how would you know the difference? No, you get, like, two shots and it's in this tiny cup.
[00:02:44] Speaker G: Speaking of being tiny, you guys are now invading a giant castle in the sky, which is making you feel very tiny.
[00:02:54] Speaker B: I thought you were gonna say, speaking of being shot, we're walking in the air.
[00:02:58] Speaker E: See, I was thinking there's a castle in the sky from into the woods.
[00:03:03] Speaker B: Is the Ground clouds.
[00:03:05] Speaker G: The underneath of the ground is clouds, but the out beneath of the ground.
[00:03:09] Speaker E: Is not the up beneath.
[00:03:11] Speaker F: Not in my castle.
[00:03:12] Speaker E: And there's. Is this lily pads or cabbages?
[00:03:17] Speaker B: Those are gourds.
[00:03:18] Speaker E: Oh, they look like eyeballs.
[00:03:19] Speaker D: Green circles.
[00:03:20] Speaker B: They're giant olives.
[00:03:21] Speaker A: Cabbages.
[00:03:22] Speaker F: They do kind of look like eyeballs.
[00:03:24] Speaker G: They are vegetable fruits.
[00:03:27] Speaker F: What?
[00:03:28] Speaker B: They're pumpkins, which are berries.
[00:03:30] Speaker F: Green tomatoes.
[00:03:31] Speaker D: They're veggie fruit.
[00:03:32] Speaker A: What?
[00:03:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:03:34] Speaker A: Gourd.
[00:03:35] Speaker E: I just realized how small we were on this map. Those are the size of us friends.
[00:03:40] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:03:40] Speaker F: Don't look at me.
[00:03:41] Speaker G: Those Vega fruits are the same size as you.
[00:03:43] Speaker D: I would trust this. It feels right. It feels like it could be real enough to trust it.
[00:03:47] Speaker B: This feels safe, you know how small? You know? Oh, I see the squares that are denoting us now. Okay, that makes more sense.
[00:03:54] Speaker D: Smaller squares inside of all these squares make a square.
[00:03:59] Speaker B: I saw my phantasmal minion out, right?
[00:04:02] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:04:02] Speaker B: Can he open one of those doors?
[00:04:06] Speaker G: At the moment, you guys are dealing with the issue that you have heard.
[00:04:11] Speaker C: Voices saying, oh, right.
[00:04:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:04:15] Speaker G: So you've just heard a voice from ahead of you, like, down this, like.
So you're on a little patio thing there. You've just come through the portcullis to enter the castle. And to your left and right, there are massive doors. These doors are like, what? To your perspective, they're about 35ft tall.
And the little patio thing kind of loops around, and there's like, a little staircase going down on either side. And on the other side of that patio thing, down the stairs, you have.
[00:04:44] Speaker C: Heard a voice saying, hey, did you hear the winch going?
[00:04:48] Speaker A: Uvaire disappears.
[00:04:51] Speaker B: Stop doing that. You just got back.
[00:04:54] Speaker A: As he casts invisibility.
[00:04:56] Speaker D: We could run into one of those doors and hide. Or we could just go say hello.
[00:04:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:00] Speaker D: We do need to make our presence known to potentially talk to their leader anyway. Right?
[00:05:04] Speaker B: I mean, maybe.
[00:05:06] Speaker E: Are there any shadows nearby?
[00:05:09] Speaker G: Yeah. With the way the light is falling, there are a few shadows around.
[00:05:12] Speaker E: I'm going to hide.
[00:05:14] Speaker A: So Uvir disappears and I hide. Zafir jumps in a shadow. What are you three doing?
[00:05:21] Speaker F: I also would like to hide in the shadows.
[00:05:23] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:05:24] Speaker G: Do you want to hide in the same shadows or in different shadows?
[00:05:27] Speaker F: Different shadows.
[00:05:27] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:05:29] Speaker F: I have a feat called shadow blending, and I can hide sort of.
[00:05:36] Speaker B: Well.
So me and you are just standing out.
[00:05:39] Speaker D: Yeah, we're just standing here.
[00:05:41] Speaker G: I mean.
[00:05:44] Speaker B: If they don't want us here, then we have to fight a giant castle full of giants.
[00:05:49] Speaker D: Mm.
[00:05:51] Speaker B: It might be better to hide in the doors. I mean, I know we both speak.
[00:05:55] Speaker D: Hyoko, try and talk.
I'm worried that if we just show up to their boss out of nowhere, it'd be like, ah, under attack.
[00:06:05] Speaker A: Val, would you like to go there as a prisoner?
[00:06:09] Speaker D: That's not always a bad thing.
[00:06:10] Speaker B: We. We don't.
[00:06:11] Speaker A: Without your weapons, unable to fight. If they are hostile, we don't have.
[00:06:15] Speaker B: A giant lead us to them.
[00:06:18] Speaker D: Well, it'd be one of those.
[00:06:19] Speaker B: I was just looking around.
[00:06:21] Speaker D: He's saying that maybe if we go talk to those bad guys, they'll just put us in chains and to execute us.
[00:06:27] Speaker A: But then again, maybe you too can go in as prisoners and we'll watch you.
[00:06:31] Speaker D: You guys seem pretty sneaky.
But Howard, if you want, I could have Sigourn hang back with you. Back away. We came. Maybe.
[00:06:38] Speaker B: No, no, I'm. If you're going to go, I'm going to go with you. I don't don't want you to die alone. I guess I don't want to die either, Val.
[00:06:49] Speaker D: I feel like I'm going to be fine.
[00:06:52] Speaker A: Famous last words.
[00:06:52] Speaker B: You say that a lot.
[00:06:54] Speaker D: I'm still here.
[00:06:56] Speaker B: Let's go.
[00:06:57] Speaker D: So I'll go say hi to these fellows since they're suspicious that there's people about.
Sigurd, why don't you just hang back here in case they don't respect animals.
[00:07:11] Speaker D: So they're down that staircase?
[00:07:14] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:07:14] Speaker G: Yeah. They are down the staircase ahead of you.
[00:07:16] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:07:17] Speaker A: Guver will follow at a distance.
[00:07:19] Speaker D: Okay, I will go to the stairs.
[00:07:25] Speaker B: I am following her.
[00:07:26] Speaker D: Like if we just settled, they would be able to even hear us kind of get closer.
[00:07:30] Speaker B: You are very tiny.
[00:07:31] Speaker D: Oh, yeah.
[00:07:32] Speaker G: As you approach the stairs, at the same moment, you see a very large figure with cool blue skin rounding the top of the stairs ahead of you.
To your surprise, perhaps he is not quite on the scale that you were expecting. And relative to the building, he's kind of like. He'd be basically like 4ft tall.
[00:07:54] Speaker D: Oh, does he look like a giant?
[00:07:56] Speaker B: Oh, relative to my building, he is.
[00:08:00] Speaker D: 4 foot tall, but to us he's like 15ft tall.
[00:08:03] Speaker B: Got it.
[00:08:05] Speaker D: Oh, hello.
[00:08:07] Speaker B: I nudge Val in the inside. Jotun. Vow. Jotun.
[00:08:11] Speaker D: I did. That was in the.
[00:08:13] Speaker C: That's incredible. Two tiny people showed up. Speaking. Jotun.
[00:08:17] Speaker D: Hello.
[00:08:19] Speaker D: Mr.
[00:08:21] Speaker C: I.
Hi.
[00:08:26] Speaker B: What's your name?
[00:08:29] Speaker C: My name? It's on my other page of notes. My name is Volas Folas.
[00:08:36] Speaker D: Good to meet you.
[00:08:37] Speaker C: Agog's just down there. What are you doing here?
[00:08:40] Speaker D: We are on A very vital diplomatic mission.
[00:08:46] Speaker C: You got your victuals, your victuals.
[00:08:51] Speaker C: Your vitals.
[00:08:53] Speaker D: Vitals?
[00:08:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:08:55] Speaker D: Vital. Meaning, like, it's very important.
[00:08:57] Speaker C: Like. Like all food is.
[00:09:00] Speaker B: We're not food.
[00:09:03] Speaker C: It's even got a sense of humor.
[00:09:07] Speaker B: See, this isn't going well.
[00:09:09] Speaker D: This is a very serious situation. There's a threat to all of you and to all of us.
[00:09:13] Speaker C: You're threatening me?
[00:09:14] Speaker D: No, There is an outside threat that we are here to seek assistance for.
Have you heard of Fafnir the Lenor?
[00:09:23] Speaker C: No.
[00:09:24] Speaker D: Okay, so there's this. Okay, so let me break it down for you. There is an ancient, very old giant monster, right?
He likes to destroy castles, whole kingdoms. He burns.
[00:09:39] Speaker G: Oh, yeah.
[00:09:39] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:09:40] Speaker B: A mountain exploded recently. You saw that?
[00:09:42] Speaker C: No.
[00:09:43] Speaker D: Okay, well, anyway, he blew up a mountain recently, and he's seeking to just destroy everything, including this castle.
[00:09:51] Speaker C: No, he wouldn't do that.
[00:09:52] Speaker B: That.
[00:09:52] Speaker D: But he's going to. And so how would you know?
Yeah, you don't even know if there's.
[00:09:58] Speaker C: Any sort of ancient power. That would be Sarcool.
[00:10:03] Speaker D: Who's Sarcool?
[00:10:04] Speaker C: He's the king. Any.
[00:10:06] Speaker D: Yeah, but this guy kills kings.
[00:10:09] Speaker C: Don't I know it.
[00:10:10] Speaker B: Can I make a society check on that name?
[00:10:14] Speaker G: Sure. What is your society?
[00:10:15] Speaker B: Bonus master at 24.
Yeah.
[00:10:22] Speaker G: You have heard of Zarkul before, but you've heard of him as being, like, a. A petty, like, chieftain of giants.
[00:10:31] Speaker D: Listen, we've. We just want to talk to Sarko.
[00:10:36] Speaker B: Sarko's not gonna want to talk to us, Val.
[00:10:39] Speaker C: He's right, you know. This. This one's smart. He's smart, and he's got a sense of humor.
[00:10:45] Speaker D: Well.
[00:10:49] Speaker D: Listen, we don't want that.
[00:10:50] Speaker C: Why is that air over there laughing?
[00:10:55] Speaker A: Uber Trying to suppress a spur?
[00:10:58] Speaker D: Listen, we're. I don't want to sound intimidating or.
[00:11:02] Speaker C: Oh, you don't.
[00:11:04] Speaker D: That's fine. But, like, we don't want to have to kill you all, and we would like to just speak to your boss. We've been through a lot recently, and we are trying to save all of your lives.
[00:11:14] Speaker B: So I'm going to whisper to Val, not in Jotun in common, and be like, well, it's. The giant. Society really values strength, so if you do sound intimidating, they might take you.
[00:11:22] Speaker D: Oh, that's fair. Can I beat you? And then you'll do what I say? Is that what needs to happen here?
[00:11:29] Speaker C: You want to fight?
[00:11:31] Speaker D: You want to fight me? Yeah. Me and you. One on one. Let's go.
[00:11:34] Speaker C: Are we using weapons?
[00:11:36] Speaker B: Can I do a recall? Knowledge? Just Get. This thing's, like, level.
[00:11:40] Speaker G: Sure.
[00:11:42] Speaker G: So this is, as you would suspect, a Frost Giant. It is a level nine creature.
[00:11:48] Speaker F: Oh, we can. We can take him easily.
[00:11:52] Speaker B: I really wish I would have given you the help, but you.
[00:11:55] Speaker D: Sorry, what was your name again?
[00:11:57] Speaker C: My name?
[00:11:57] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:11:58] Speaker C: My name is Volas.
[00:12:00] Speaker D: Volas. All right, one on one, me and you, let's go. You can use your weapon. Okay, I win, you take us to your boss to talk to him.
[00:12:09] Speaker C: So this isn't to the death.
[00:12:12] Speaker D: You can try and kill me. I'll keep you alive.
[00:12:15] Speaker C: Well, that just doesn't seem fair, then. If I've got to do extra work.
[00:12:17] Speaker D: To win, you don't have to kill me.
[00:12:20] Speaker B: Why would you do extra work to. If you kill her, you win, Right?
[00:12:24] Speaker C: If I kill her, she wins. But if she gets to not kill me and still win, that doesn't seem fair.
[00:12:30] Speaker D: Listen, this whole thing is about proving dominance, right? So the best way to do that is to leave you alive.
[00:12:35] Speaker C: That's.
[00:12:36] Speaker D: So the best way to do that to me would leave me alive.
[00:12:38] Speaker C: Oh, that is fair. You wouldn't even be around to know how awesome I was.
[00:12:41] Speaker D: Exactly. So not to the death.
[00:12:43] Speaker C: Okay?
[00:12:43] Speaker D: But let's just fight.
[00:12:45] Speaker C: All right, so what is the end point, then? Like, are we knocking you each other out?
[00:12:50] Speaker D: We have. Once our HP hits zero.
[00:12:54] Speaker B: Whoever knocks the other out first, I'll be the referee.
[00:12:57] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:12:57] Speaker D: Or if you give up, agog, could.
[00:13:00] Speaker C: Be a molly referee. Hey, Agog. And another giant walks up behind him. Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna punch this little thing until it stops breathing, and then I'm gonna wake it back up, and we're gonna eat it. You want to watch?
Yeah.
[00:13:13] Speaker D: All right, now, Volis, you are welcome to surrender at any point during the fight.
[00:13:21] Speaker G: All right?
[00:13:21] Speaker C: Yeah.
This will be fun.
[00:13:24] Speaker D: All right, let's do this. Volus. Thanks for the advice. Outward.
[00:13:29] Speaker B: It's what I'm here for.
[00:13:31] Speaker G: All right, Val, what is your initiative?
[00:13:35] Speaker D: Not very good. 21.
[00:13:37] Speaker G: All right, the Frost Giant, who is named Volas, will go first.
[00:13:42] Speaker B: And please let me move just to.
[00:13:47] Speaker C: Right, fine.
[00:13:49] Speaker B: I'm gonna take, like.
Yeah, that's fair.
[00:13:52] Speaker G: So you just step around to the side a little bit. Just make a little bit of room there.
And Volas, for his first action, draws a massive greataxe. The blade is, like, four feet wide.
Second action, he steps up once, and with his final action, he brings the greataxe down on val.
That's a 40 to hit.
[00:14:14] Speaker D: That tracks. That's a hit.
I assume he rolled very well. Just remember your phase.
[00:14:19] Speaker G: Maybe that's 26 slashing damage.
[00:14:23] Speaker D: Sweet.
[00:14:25] Speaker C: Right now we taste a giant axe. You ready to concede defeat?
[00:14:30] Speaker D: I think we're just getting started. She's just gonna kinda stretch it out for a second. And the blood that's coming out where the wound is starts to like boil a little bit as she activates Glory and Valor Once per day for a minute or until I critically fail an attack. The first time I hit each round, I heal half my level and hit points.
[00:14:51] Speaker C: Points.
[00:14:53] Speaker D: And then I'm going to use my relic ability, Divine Retribution to give me. It's a two action attack. Then it gives me an extra damage die because he's damaged me.
[00:15:07] Speaker D: 35 to hit.
[00:15:09] Speaker G: That's a hit.
[00:15:11] Speaker B: Do I get a question about this thing?
[00:15:13] Speaker D: Sure.
[00:15:13] Speaker G: What do you want to know?
[00:15:14] Speaker B: Resistances.
[00:15:16] Speaker G: He is not resistant to anything.
[00:15:18] Speaker D: Okay. The Frost Giants, right?
[00:15:20] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:15:21] Speaker D: They're probably mean to cold.
One would think because I have a cold damage on my weapon, I may.
[00:15:27] Speaker B: Have rolled really low and gotten bad info.
[00:15:30] Speaker D: 19 points of slashing damage and 6 cold damage.
[00:15:39] Speaker G: Yeah, the 19 goes through. It doesn't look like the cold bothers him.
[00:15:44] Speaker D: Okay. And then that is also my three actions.
[00:15:47] Speaker G: All right.
[00:15:49] Speaker G: Volas is like. Spits out a little bit and sorry.
[00:15:53] Speaker D: I also heal six hit points.
[00:15:57] Speaker G: Volas spits out a little blood and is like.
[00:15:59] Speaker C: Right Round one.
[00:16:02] Speaker G: Swings his axe back around again for another strike.
[00:16:07] Speaker G: With a natural 20.
Gosh, Sven. Could we get a natural 20?
[00:16:13] Speaker D: You gotta stop rolling that 20s against me tonight.
[00:16:16] Speaker G: Just can't stop.
Look, I'm gonna roll the tiny die to see what happens.
[00:16:21] Speaker B: Please tell me it's a nat 20.
[00:16:22] Speaker D: It was a 10.
[00:16:25] Speaker D: Making a face.
[00:16:26] Speaker G: You look really excited about that one, Sven.
[00:16:29] Speaker A: Shattered jaw.
[00:16:32] Speaker A: You didn't need to talk right until healed. The target is wounded one and can't speak, eat, drink, or make attacks with its job.
[00:16:41] Speaker D: That's fine.
[00:16:43] Speaker F: Or make attacks with its job.
[00:16:45] Speaker D: I attack you, I'm going to heal.
[00:16:47] Speaker F: So like, I'm sorry. I'm just imagining somebody.
[00:16:52] Speaker B: Yeah, that's funny.
[00:16:53] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:16:54] Speaker B: You can't.
[00:16:55] Speaker F: You can't even respond to him.
[00:16:57] Speaker A: And Jordy, that is it for the crit deck effect on slashing.
[00:17:01] Speaker C: Thank you, Sven. Back to you, Volas.
[00:17:07] Speaker G: And as one might expect, breaking your jaw with an axe is very unpleasant. And you take 40 points of slashing damage.
[00:17:15] Speaker D: Sweet.
[00:17:16] Speaker F: How you feeling, buddy?
[00:17:18] Speaker D: 102 out of 162. Still over half.
[00:17:21] Speaker F: It's not horrid.
[00:17:22] Speaker G: With his second action, he swings again. This time I'll use The tiny dice with a 28 that misses. Hmm.
He seems like the kind of guy who'd be reasonably fair with his last action. He's just gonna take a deep breath and just blow chilling air at Yuval. And I'm going to need a reflex save.
[00:17:44] Speaker D: You can do that for one action? Mm. That's crazy.
[00:17:49] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:17:51] Speaker D: 24.
[00:17:52] Speaker G: A24 on your reflex.
[00:17:53] Speaker D: Yeah. This die is not. Not being helpful.
[00:17:56] Speaker G: So that'll be a fail.
So you take five cold damage.
[00:18:01] Speaker B: Aren't you resistant to cold?
[00:18:03] Speaker D: No, I don't have that anymore because they updated the. The versatile heritage. Ah, five. All right, cool.
[00:18:10] Speaker G: So you take the five cold damage, and you are also.
The cold air is full of, like, moisture, and it freezes your feet to the ground.
You become immobilized until you escape.
If you end your turn immobilized by this ice, you will take additional cold damage.
[00:18:29] Speaker D: Really?
That's annoying.
[00:18:31] Speaker C: You go.
[00:18:34] Speaker C: I'm in my element, beating up small things.
[00:18:38] Speaker D: Okay. I'm gonna cast, lay on hands.
So I'm just gonna put my hand on myself and heal.
[00:18:45] Speaker G: And that has the manipulate trait, right?
[00:18:46] Speaker B: Right.
[00:18:47] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:18:49] Speaker G: So he's going to bring his axe down again with a reactive strike.38 to hit.
[00:18:56] Speaker D: He's three levels lower than me. Why is he consistently doing this?
[00:18:59] Speaker A: Are you sure about that?
[00:19:00] Speaker B: Yeah, like I said, I could have gotten it wrong.
[00:19:03] Speaker F: What do you mean three? He's two levels lower.
[00:19:05] Speaker D: Yeah, that's a hit.
[00:19:06] Speaker B: Still, though, he is rolling real high.
[00:19:08] Speaker F: I know.
[00:19:09] Speaker G: 17 slashing damage.
[00:19:11] Speaker F: So frustrating.
[00:19:12] Speaker D: But yeah. Oh, wait, I have three resistance to slashing.
[00:19:16] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:19:16] Speaker G: So you can go ahead and give yourself six back if you want, and then take three less from this, honestly. So you'll take 14 instead?
[00:19:23] Speaker F: Once Val reaches, like, half her health, I would like to step in.
[00:19:30] Speaker D: I have not. Okay, I'm almost there. But I also just healed 36, so now I'm not. And I have a plus 2ac bonus. Now I'll use an action, I guess, to escape.
[00:19:43] Speaker D: Well, that's athletics.
[00:19:45] Speaker G: Athletics or an unarmed attack.
[00:19:47] Speaker D: Let me. That has the attack trait, though, right? Let me attack first and then do that.
[00:19:52] Speaker B: You doing good, Val?
[00:19:54] Speaker D: I'm fine.
[00:19:56] Speaker E: I could do this all day.
[00:19:57] Speaker D: 40.
[00:19:58] Speaker G: That's a critical hit.
[00:20:00] Speaker B: Nice. Oh, wait. Oh, no.
[00:20:02] Speaker G: Yeah, it's not a nat. 20.
[00:20:03] Speaker B: I get so excited every time, which.
[00:20:05] Speaker D: Means I heal six hits. Hit points because I damaged him.
[00:20:08] Speaker G: And your mouth is feeling so much better.
[00:20:11] Speaker D: Yeah, she, like, touched herself. Her jaw, like, snapped back into place, and then she did that. Attack total is 34 slashing damage.
And I'm gonna push him back 5ft.
[00:20:25] Speaker E: Ax looks like it would hurt.
[00:20:26] Speaker G: So you push him, like, almost to the top of the stairs. Back again and out of range with his great axe.
[00:20:33] Speaker D: And I got a 35 to escape.
[00:20:37] Speaker G: And you do indeed escape.
[00:20:38] Speaker D: Well, then she just lifts her feet up and just crack, crack. And then cracks her nick.
Nice yor go.
[00:20:47] Speaker B: Hmm.
[00:20:48] Speaker G: Hmm.
He's going to step further back and then he's gonna just like reach somewhere behind him and pull out a massive icicle and just hurt. Hurl it at you.
[00:21:03] Speaker G: The 25, that's a miss.
Just scatters on the paving stones behind you. And he just looks really disappointed.
I guess he'll try again.
[00:21:15] Speaker G: Yeah, no, that one misses as well.
[00:21:18] Speaker B: He.
[00:21:18] Speaker G: He looks really disappointed with himself.
[00:21:20] Speaker D: A. I'm sorry.
[00:21:22] Speaker G: Agar pats him on the back.
[00:21:23] Speaker C: He's like, you got it. You got it. Just an off round now.
[00:21:28] Speaker D: It's just an off round, buddy.
I'm going to use one action to point at him and smite.
So.
[00:21:37] Speaker D: Until the start of my next turn, I get plus 3 bonus to damage. But each time he takes a hostile action against us, any of us, that continues the duration of my smites.
[00:21:50] Speaker G: And he is smitten.
[00:21:51] Speaker D: So I'm just looking at him like smoted Faras brings judgment upon you.
And then I'm going to run up into range and attack.
[00:22:00] Speaker B: I'm going to lean over like I'm talking to. Ooh, Blake. She's really in her element right now.
[00:22:04] Speaker D: I just rolled three 18s in a row, so 40.
[00:22:07] Speaker A: That's behind you on the other side. Yes.
[00:22:13] Speaker D: A total of 52 damage.
[00:22:20] Speaker D: And all of this is non lethal technically with my weapon, but I'm just like shoving him against the wall here.
[00:22:27] Speaker G: Well, he just definitely went past being bloodied.
[00:22:32] Speaker D: How are you feeling, Volis?
[00:22:35] Speaker C: I'd say like orange. Near death.
[00:22:38] Speaker D: It's not too late to drop the axe.
[00:22:42] Speaker C: I drop the axe. No, you drop the. The pointy stick.
[00:22:47] Speaker D: You've got a glaive.
[00:22:50] Speaker G: And he swings his axe again.
[00:22:54] Speaker G: With a 30.
[00:22:55] Speaker D: Awesome.
[00:22:56] Speaker B: Best.
[00:22:57] Speaker G: Finally, he tries again with 32.
[00:23:03] Speaker D: Exactly. I didn't use the lay on hand, so I did not get my bonus.
[00:23:08] Speaker G: That's 28 points of damage, minus three.
[00:23:11] Speaker D: So 25.
[00:23:13] Speaker G: And he looks down at himself and goes.
[00:23:16] Speaker C: I feel rejuvenated. And takes a deep breath and blows chill air on you once again.
[00:23:24] Speaker D: Oh, come on, man.
[00:23:26] Speaker G: I need another reflex save.
20.
[00:23:29] Speaker D: Yeah. 21.
[00:23:30] Speaker G: Ah, that is also a failure.
Oh, I rolled better on damage this time.
You take 15 damage this time.
[00:23:39] Speaker D: You went from 5 to 15. My goodness.
[00:23:41] Speaker C: Very poorly last time.
[00:23:45] Speaker G: And then as before, you are immobilized until you can escape from that ice.
All right, and that is his turn. So it is now your turn.
[00:23:54] Speaker D: I'll go ahead and start with another.
[00:23:55] Speaker G: Lay on hands and you'll start with another X swing.
[00:24:00] Speaker B: 34.
[00:24:01] Speaker D: That's it.
[00:24:02] Speaker G: And 19 damage.
[00:24:04] Speaker D: All right, I now have a plus two AC.
[00:24:08] Speaker C: What's your HP at now?
[00:24:09] Speaker D: 114.
[00:24:10] Speaker C: Okay, going up.
[00:24:12] Speaker F: I'm never going to step into health going down.
[00:24:15] Speaker D: I can only do lay on hands one more time, but I don't think I need to. I'm going to go ahead and just do the double attack.
[00:24:23] Speaker D: The two action attack. Divine judgment I think is what it's called.31.
[00:24:28] Speaker G: That is a hit.
[00:24:30] Speaker D: All right, 18 points of damage.
That's my turn.
[00:24:34] Speaker G: He is not looking healthy.
[00:24:37] Speaker D: How is that rejuvenation?
[00:24:40] Speaker G: He turns, he turns to Argyle and.
[00:24:42] Speaker C: He'S like, tap out, brother.
[00:24:44] Speaker D: No tapping out.
[00:24:46] Speaker C: Just looks disgusted.
[00:24:50] Speaker C: All right, fun, fun.
[00:24:53] Speaker D: On your feet for list.
[00:24:56] Speaker G: He swings once with his great ax.
[00:25:02] Speaker G: 39.
[00:25:04] Speaker D: Yeah. That's a hit.
[00:25:07] Speaker B: I'm so disappointed.
[00:25:08] Speaker D: Friends, I'd like the AC bonuses to ever matter.
[00:25:12] Speaker G: And that's 24.
[00:25:14] Speaker D: I gave myself plus two. And then it has it like gotten in that range of like yay.
[00:25:19] Speaker G: Well, maybe on this second swing.
[00:25:23] Speaker C: 26.
[00:25:24] Speaker D: That is a miss.
[00:25:26] Speaker G: Yeah, I think with his last action, he's gonna let go of the ax with one his left hand and just bring down his fist on you.
[00:25:34] Speaker D: Let's brief.
[00:25:36] Speaker G: Ah. 29.
[00:25:37] Speaker D: All right, nice miss.
[00:25:40] Speaker G: Yep, that is his whole turn.
[00:25:43] Speaker D: All right, I'm gonna start with an attack.
Just gonna bring my glaive down natural. 20.
[00:25:50] Speaker B: Yay.
Get them cards, guys.
[00:25:52] Speaker E: Dead.
[00:25:53] Speaker A: And we're back.
[00:25:54] Speaker B: Ladies and gentlemen, everyone's favorite segment.
[00:25:57] Speaker A: Please for the audience, please tell us what exactly your attack is.
[00:26:01] Speaker D: A slashing glaive.
[00:26:03] Speaker A: Slashing glaive. Let's look to pull up the card says spun around.
The target is flat footed until the end of its next turn.
Back to you, Jordy.
[00:26:16] Speaker D: Oh my gosh. Okay, let's see if I hope this down some. That'll be great.
[00:26:21] Speaker B: Can we keep that bit going? That's really fun.
[00:26:25] Speaker D: 59.
[00:26:30] Speaker D: And I just like go in for the lack to just smell spin him.
[00:26:34] Speaker C: And he spins and spins and then just falls down crumpled in the corner.
[00:26:39] Speaker G: Of the patio area.
[00:26:40] Speaker D: And then I roll a 28 to.
[00:26:42] Speaker C: Break out meets it beats it.
[00:26:45] Speaker D: Knock him over. I just pull my feet out of.
[00:26:47] Speaker G: The Ice Agar looks between the two of you, goes over towards Val, reaches down, grabs her hand and holds it up.
[00:26:57] Speaker B: 1.
[00:27:03] Speaker C: Of course.
[00:27:04] Speaker G: Volas does not stir.
[00:27:06] Speaker C: And he reaches 10 and puts the.
[00:27:07] Speaker G: Hand down and reaches out with his other hand to shake Val's hand.
[00:27:12] Speaker C: Welcome to the team, tiny giant.
[00:27:14] Speaker D: Thank you.
It's good to be friendly.
[00:27:21] Speaker D: And I walk over to Volas and I lay my hand upon him.
And he gets 36 hit points back.
[00:27:29] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:27:31] Speaker G: That was more than he had left when you hit him.
[00:27:36] Speaker B: Gotta love the crits coming in. At the weirdest time, his eyes flutter open.
[00:27:42] Speaker C: Did I win?
[00:27:44] Speaker D: I'm afraid not, friend. Volus.
[00:27:47] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:27:50] Speaker C: I am ashamed.
[00:27:53] Speaker C: I shall head to the north and find a new home.
[00:27:57] Speaker B: You don't have to do that.
[00:27:58] Speaker D: We don't hold it against you.
[00:28:01] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:28:03] Speaker C: So now you're one of us.
Would you like to help us eat this, fella?
[00:28:08] Speaker G: He gestures to Alworth. I.
[00:28:10] Speaker B: Look, I might not be as physically strong as her, but I. I feel like you're in no place to fight right now.
[00:28:15] Speaker D: He can tire you apart with his brain. Brain?
[00:28:19] Speaker C: Oh, he's one of those things, is he?
[00:28:23] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:28:25] Speaker B: Things.
[00:28:26] Speaker C: Yeah, I've heard about them. They live underground and they. They shred you with their minds.
[00:28:31] Speaker B: I don't live underground.
[00:28:32] Speaker C: Well, of course not. You're up here in this castle.
[00:28:34] Speaker D: He just does taxes you.
[00:28:36] Speaker C: You live here. You're one of us now. Yeah, right.
[00:28:41] Speaker C: Does taxes.
[00:28:46] Speaker F: I mean, it's not a lie.
[00:28:48] Speaker B: It isn't?
[00:28:49] Speaker C: So, is it just the two of you then?
[00:28:51] Speaker F: No.
[00:28:52] Speaker E: Zephyr strolls up out of the shadows, eating an apple out of his cloak. Just what did I miss? Oh, hey.
[00:29:00] Speaker C: Oh, he's even smaller.
[00:29:03] Speaker D: He's even. Some could argue he's even deadlier than myself.
[00:29:07] Speaker E: I hold up my knitting needle at him.
[00:29:08] Speaker C: How many people have you killed?
[00:29:11] Speaker B: We don't need to get into that giant.
[00:29:13] Speaker E: If I could cast.
[00:29:15] Speaker A: What?
[00:29:15] Speaker E: If I could count past a thousand.
[00:29:19] Speaker C: Whoa. He leans over to Argog.
He's dangerous and smart. I can't even count past 200.
[00:29:28] Speaker A: Then you wouldn't even get to my age. As from beside Val.
[00:29:36] Speaker A: Hoover appears with a boosh of a staff.
[00:29:39] Speaker C: He's old and magical. The worst kind.
[00:29:43] Speaker C: Of.
[00:29:45] Speaker C: Well, that must be all of you. Adventurers only ever come in for.
[00:29:52] Speaker D: It. It's right around your head. Yeah, it's above you.
[00:29:55] Speaker F: Well, no way.
[00:29:57] Speaker D: Neros comes out of the shadow, slotting at a mosquito.
[00:29:59] Speaker A: No.
[00:30:00] Speaker F: Neros walks out of the shadows holding her bottomless stein, drinking just a smidge.
[00:30:09] Speaker C: Who's that?
[00:30:11] Speaker B: She's our friend.
[00:30:12] Speaker F: I'm up to no good. That's who I am.
[00:30:15] Speaker C: There's five of you. It's a good thing we didn't fight.
[00:30:18] Speaker G: Them to their death, brother.
[00:30:21] Speaker G: Does the.
[00:30:22] Speaker B: Does Sigurd count, Val?
[00:30:23] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. My giant bird comes flying in behind me.
[00:30:27] Speaker F: I didn't understand anything he said. If he said it in Jotun.
[00:30:30] Speaker A: Oh, his husband in Jotun.
Oh, right.
Only the three of us know Jotun.
[00:30:36] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. Then my interaction wouldn't have made any sense.
[00:30:40] Speaker B: They had a weird moment of clarity after getting the snot beat out of them.
[00:30:43] Speaker D: Where they spoke common, he understood, like counting to a thousand.
[00:30:48] Speaker C: I mean, we could just say they've.
[00:30:50] Speaker G: Switched to common, because they both do know common.
[00:30:52] Speaker B: Okay, either that, or I could just have been translating the whole time.
[00:30:55] Speaker D: Yeah, that's right.
Each of them is just as strong and powerful as me, if not more.
[00:31:02] Speaker E: It's very nice of you to say, Val.
I wasn't expecting that.
[00:31:06] Speaker C: Well, then, honored guests, we could take you to our banquet hall.
[00:31:12] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:31:12] Speaker F: Does that mean they're gonna eat?
[00:31:13] Speaker A: Cause that's where the king is.
[00:31:14] Speaker B: I don't. Maybe be on guard.
[00:31:16] Speaker D: You're not going to eat any of us, correct?
[00:31:18] Speaker C: Probably not.
[00:31:19] Speaker D: We do just need to speak to your king, Sarka.
[00:31:22] Speaker C: Oh, sure. He's in the banquet hall.
[00:31:25] Speaker D: Then I guess we'll go to the banquet hall.
[00:31:27] Speaker B: On the way there, I'm gonna, like, give everyone everything I know about this leader. About how you said he was, like, petty.
Sorry, what did you say?
[00:31:34] Speaker G: He was a petty tribal leader. So, like, he was not a giant of any significance. But you had heard of him because he had a band of tributs. A band of tributs.
[00:31:45] Speaker B: A tribut.
[00:31:45] Speaker C: Tribe of. Tribe.
[00:31:49] Speaker D: My jaw still doesn't feel right.
[00:31:51] Speaker F: I can smack it.
[00:31:52] Speaker D: Yeah, go for it.
That was harder than it needed to be.
[00:31:56] Speaker E: Roll for damage.
[00:31:58] Speaker F: Did it pop it back into place?
[00:32:00] Speaker D: Think so. I think I'm good.
[00:32:01] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:32:03] Speaker D: It's a nasty hit. Volis is good.
[00:32:06] Speaker E: It all happened so suddenly.
[00:32:08] Speaker D: A fountain.
[00:32:10] Speaker F: Wow. There's like an entire ecosystem up here.
[00:32:13] Speaker B: Do you think every bird is the size of Sigurd up here? Or do you think they're tiny?
[00:32:20] Speaker E: Well, nor normal birds can also fly.
[00:32:22] Speaker D: Birds? Yeah.
[00:32:24] Speaker G: A normal bird flies past Albert's head.
[00:32:27] Speaker B: Perfect. Perfect.
[00:32:27] Speaker D: Like little gnats to the giants.
[00:32:29] Speaker E: Speaks Yotin at you.
[00:32:32] Speaker G: However, as you're walking towards the main castle, there's that tree off towards your right. And perched in the tree alward, you see a giant robin.
[00:32:44] Speaker B: I'm so sad. This character has nothing to do with animals because I want that giant robin Look.
[00:32:50] Speaker D: Sigarten. Other birds.
[00:32:53] Speaker B: Other bird.
[00:32:55] Speaker G: And you make your way up to these massive double doors that would lead into the banquet hall. And the two giants together open just one of the doors, making a way.
[00:33:05] Speaker D: Beautiful. Right there. A frost giant. So this castle is not designed for the frost giant's size. This is designed for a storm giant. And storm giants are a lot.
[00:33:13] Speaker B: Yeah, as he said, bigger. They're tiny compared to the castle.
[00:33:16] Speaker D: Right? Yeah.
[00:33:19] Speaker D: So of all this. And I'm sorry, Arga. Agar. Agar. Is that your name, sir?
[00:33:25] Speaker C: Agar? Yeah.
[00:33:26] Speaker D: How did you all come to possession of this castle?
[00:33:32] Speaker C: Well, our leader won it fair and.
[00:33:36] Speaker G: Square, and we live here with him.
[00:33:38] Speaker D: Do you fight? Oh, actual. Like, did he fight a storm giant?
A storm king?
[00:33:43] Speaker C: Sure.
[00:33:45] Speaker D: Okay. All right.
[00:33:48] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:33:50] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:33:51] Speaker A: Great confidence here.
[00:33:52] Speaker D: How many are there of you in this area?
[00:33:55] Speaker C: Oh, at least a few.
[00:33:58] Speaker B: Which one of you summoned the air Elemental?
[00:34:00] Speaker C: Oh, that's our king.
[00:34:02] Speaker D: Is our king gonna be this tiny little dude, like.
[00:34:06] Speaker B: No, the king is a din.
[00:34:07] Speaker A: I think we can see him.
[00:34:08] Speaker C: Possibly as you're seeing, staring into the door. It does go, like, there's a little.
[00:34:14] Speaker G: Entryway and then goes straight into the banquet hall. And at the opposite side of this banquet hall is a massive figure sitting at the table.
Easily.
Let's see, easily 20 some feet tall.
And his hair and beard are all made out of crackling electricity.
[00:34:33] Speaker D: Oh, oh, oh. Does he look like he's the right size for this land, this castle?
[00:34:39] Speaker G: Yeah, it's sized appropriately for him.
[00:34:41] Speaker D: Oh, so he's like a storm giant.
[00:34:43] Speaker F: Oh, geez. He looks like freaking Zeus.
[00:34:47] Speaker D: He's got purple skin and lots of.
[00:34:50] Speaker A: We only need to kill Zeus. That's fine.
[00:34:53] Speaker B: That's how every JRPG ends. We'll be fine.
[00:34:56] Speaker C: That's the king.
[00:34:58] Speaker D: Oh, well, wonderful. We can chat with him.
[00:35:02] Speaker C: Sure. I'll just.
Are you sure you're really dressed right for a banquet?
[00:35:07] Speaker D: What do you mean? Yeah, I wear this. I wear this to the Kobold banquet just recently.
[00:35:12] Speaker C: Well, I mean, you just. You might want to stop by the cook and, you know, get ready.
[00:35:16] Speaker B: Why would the cook.
[00:35:17] Speaker D: No, we're not getting eaten, Volas.
[00:35:19] Speaker C: Oh, right, sorry.
[00:35:21] Speaker D: We're part of this. Remember? You said we were good.
[00:35:24] Speaker C: It's just. It's just I see little people and.
[00:35:26] Speaker D: I'm like, mmm, food question, though, real quick. I'm just. I'm actually curious. Curious how. What did. What do people like us taste like?
[00:35:36] Speaker C: Pig.
[00:35:36] Speaker D: Pig. Interesting. I Wouldn't have thought that, honestly.
[00:35:40] Speaker B: But why?
[00:35:41] Speaker D: I'm just curious. Alward, I deal with the dead a lot.
[00:35:48] Speaker E: I have never once wondered what my victims tasted like.
[00:35:54] Speaker C: Not once.
[00:35:57] Speaker C: How many people did you say you killed? I don't believe you. You call yourself a professional? No. I don't even know that you do that. I'm just assuming that you call yourself a professional.
[00:36:07] Speaker E: You don't even know who I am. You don't even know what my voice is, considering I didn't use the right one.
[00:36:12] Speaker C: Oh, that's a nice voice. That's good.
[00:36:18] Speaker D: So we just go in?
[00:36:20] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:36:21] Speaker G: We'll wait outside.
[00:36:22] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:36:23] Speaker B: Are you scared of your ruler?
[00:36:26] Speaker C: Oh, not usually, no.
[00:36:28] Speaker D: But you think you might be in this situation?
[00:36:32] Speaker C: Yeah. Well, I mean, we'll wait out here and we'll take credit for you joining if it all goes well.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: Got it.
[00:36:40] Speaker C: Otherwise, we're going to be out here with some very real bruises because you forced your way past, if you get my meaning.
[00:36:49] Speaker B: So why does only one of you have bruises?
[00:36:51] Speaker C: Ah, well, the other one was sounding the alarm. Right, Right. Argog. Yeah, yeah, sounding the alarm.
[00:36:59] Speaker B: Why did it take you so long to sound the alarm.
[00:37:04] Speaker E: Albert? I think they're making a story.
[00:37:06] Speaker C: I don't appreciate you insinuating I don't know how to do my job. I have half a mind to go sound the alarm right now.
[00:37:13] Speaker B: I'm just trying to be helpful and make sure you don't get in trouble if things go bad.
[00:37:18] Speaker C: Well, what, you want to give me some bruises before you go?
[00:37:20] Speaker B: No, I'm saying, you know, maybe bruise yourself up a little bit.
[00:37:23] Speaker D: Careful not to be too loud. You might be able to hear you. We're not that far away from him.
[00:37:26] Speaker C: Oh, you're right.
[00:37:27] Speaker E: The door is open.
[00:37:28] Speaker C: I'm going to quietly give myself some bruises.
[00:37:30] Speaker B: Yeah, there you go.
[00:37:31] Speaker C: He walks around the corner and starts shutting his hand in the door.
[00:37:38] Speaker D: So, all right, let's just go inside, talk to. Was it Sarakai?
[00:37:42] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:37:44] Speaker G: Zark.
[00:37:46] Speaker F: Zarcool.
[00:37:47] Speaker E: I have Zarkel, like sparkle, and I think that fits in better.
[00:37:51] Speaker D: There's only Zarkul.
[00:37:55] Speaker D: All right, time to go inside then.
[00:37:59] Speaker G: As you make your way into this banquet hall, it is, of course, massive. You feel dwarfed by the size of the room. And as you start entering in, there's just, like, platters of food lining the tables and everything. And the Storm King's Our Cool is at the opposite side of the room at his own, like, raised dais table. And he's eating something and looks up as you enter and is just like.
[00:38:24] Speaker C: Who gave you permission to enter my domain?
[00:38:28] Speaker B: You know, not what I thought he'd sound like.
[00:38:32] Speaker D: Okay, so I'm sorry.
[00:38:33] Speaker F: Why does he sound like that?
[00:38:34] Speaker D: These other tables, is this food really old? There's no one sitting at them.
[00:38:39] Speaker G: The food looks fresh.
[00:38:40] Speaker E: That's what you're focusing on?
[00:38:41] Speaker D: I just like, there's no one else here. There's fresh food.
[00:38:45] Speaker B: Albert is gonna speak up in Jotun.
Did he speak in Jotun or comment? Yes, in Jotuna. Be like, well, we're here to seek an audience with whoever controls this castle.
[00:38:56] Speaker C: I guess I control this castle.
[00:39:00] Speaker C: Finn.
[00:39:01] Speaker B: Then I guess we're here to seek an audience with you.
[00:39:05] Speaker C: And what business have small folks such as yourself with the great king Zakuul?
Goodness gracious.
[00:39:13] Speaker F: All right, man from the Bronx.
[00:39:16] Speaker E: Can you ask him to speak in common? I don't know what's going on.
[00:39:18] Speaker B: Do you know Common?
[00:39:20] Speaker C: Of course I do.
[00:39:21] Speaker G: He says in comedy.
[00:39:22] Speaker A: Austin.
[00:39:23] Speaker B: Okay, perfect. I'm gonna switch to common.
[00:39:24] Speaker D: I thought he was talking like a baby. I don't.
[00:39:27] Speaker E: The fear starts snickering now that he hears me. His voice.
[00:39:30] Speaker B: You'd hear his voice.
[00:39:32] Speaker A: Understand his voice.
[00:39:33] Speaker E: Understand him. Oh, those were the sounds he was making.
[00:39:36] Speaker B: Let's start off. Do you know what fafnir is?
[00:39:41] Speaker C: Something insignificant compared to my might.
[00:39:44] Speaker B: Okay, you don't know what fafnir is?
[00:39:48] Speaker B: I don't know how we're going to convince this person if he doesn't know what the big dragon is.
[00:39:51] Speaker D: Well, on a vital diplomatic mission.
[00:39:56] Speaker D: I.
[00:39:56] Speaker F: Mean, I could cast charm again.
[00:40:00] Speaker F: I could cast charm again.
[00:40:03] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[00:40:04] Speaker A: Sorry.
[00:40:04] Speaker E: What did you say? He's converting us.
[00:40:06] Speaker C: Are you making fun of me?
[00:40:07] Speaker F: I would never.
[00:40:08] Speaker D: Can I rule a society? Check out storm giants.
[00:40:11] Speaker B: Sure do.
[00:40:12] Speaker F: They all talk like this?
[00:40:13] Speaker B: Shorty, I've rolling so many checks around giants. Can I just have this?
So I've rolled more checks about giants in this campaign than I did in the Giant Hunter campaign.
[00:40:23] Speaker G: You're experiencing some cognitive dissonance here.
So you know about Zarkul.
[00:40:29] Speaker C: You've heard about him as, like, a.
[00:40:31] Speaker G: Petty giant leader, and he's currently behaving like a petty giant leader, but he's not in the position of a petty giant leader right now.
[00:40:42] Speaker B: What do you mean, Zarkul?
[00:40:44] Speaker G: The zarcool you're familiar with was a hail giant.
[00:40:48] Speaker A: This.
[00:40:48] Speaker G: This guy's a storm giant, but he definitely has the hill giant accent, which apparently is Bostonian.
[00:40:56] Speaker D: I guess all hill giants are Bostonian.
[00:41:03] Speaker D: Did I learn anything from my check?
[00:41:05] Speaker G: What Was your check.
What's your society bonus?
[00:41:08] Speaker D: 18.
Sorry. 15.
[00:41:11] Speaker G: This is definitely storm giant. This is the. The accent of the storm giants.
[00:41:17] Speaker A: I want to see if he's wearing a crown.
[00:41:19] Speaker G: He is indeed.
[00:41:21] Speaker A: Is it the crown?
[00:41:23] Speaker G: It sure looks like a storm giant crown. Or storm king crown.
[00:41:27] Speaker A: Does it look like it's what transformed him into the storm giant?
[00:41:31] Speaker G: What's Your Arcana bonus?
[00:41:32] Speaker B: 24.
[00:41:34] Speaker D: We are just here to speak with you for potential assistance.
[00:41:40] Speaker G: As Val is saying that we'll get to the response to that because Uwe is studying this crown, and with a natural 20 on your arcana amazing, you get the sense that.
[00:41:52] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:41:52] Speaker G: The power of the crown has transformed him from a hill giant to a storm giant.
[00:41:56] Speaker D: Amazing.
[00:41:58] Speaker G: And, Val, you said we're on a vital diplomatic mission.
[00:42:01] Speaker D: Yeah. To seek assistance against a threat to everyone and everything, including your own.
[00:42:06] Speaker C: Why would I care about that sort of problem?
[00:42:09] Speaker D: Because it's gonna destroy the castle.
[00:42:11] Speaker B: You're part of everyone.
[00:42:12] Speaker D: You'll die.
[00:42:13] Speaker C: No, no, I'd live.
[00:42:16] Speaker B: Why?
[00:42:18] Speaker C: Because I'd fight back with the power of a thousand storms.
[00:42:25] Speaker D: I.
Something outward. Yeah, something just feels a. I don't know. Like, I. I like. I feel like he's a storm.
[00:42:35] Speaker B: Since I feel like something's up in Elven.
I was gonna do ancient Thessalonian, but.
[00:42:40] Speaker D: Yeah, I'd like to hear. Oh, I know, Elvin.
[00:42:45] Speaker A: I didn't know that he was a hill giant. Zikron made him a storm giant.
[00:42:53] Speaker B: Can I see through. Can I? What? What's that action where you try to see through an illusion?
[00:42:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:42:57] Speaker G: It would be just a seek action.
[00:42:58] Speaker B: Can I do that?
[00:42:59] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:42:59] Speaker G: Okay, go ahead and roll. I won't make that a secret.
[00:43:01] Speaker D: Can I?
[00:43:01] Speaker B: What do I need?
[00:43:02] Speaker C: Sure.
[00:43:02] Speaker G: It's perception.
[00:43:03] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:43:04] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:43:04] Speaker E: Zafir pipes up, and he looks at him and says, what's the point of ruling if there's nothing left to rule?
[00:43:12] Speaker C: Plundering.
[00:43:14] Speaker B: 34, 38.
[00:43:16] Speaker G: Both of you feel confident that this is currently his true form, as in.
[00:43:19] Speaker D: He actually is this Polymorph or something like that.
[00:43:25] Speaker B: So the crown is making him.
[00:43:27] Speaker G: Yes.
[00:43:28] Speaker B: Do you think if we remove the cross crown, it would.
[00:43:31] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:43:37] Speaker C: Audiences just looked at me as he said that.
[00:43:42] Speaker D: U just turned from us.
[00:43:43] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:43:45] Speaker A: Looks into the camera. Yes.
[00:43:47] Speaker G: It may not be an immediate change, but yes, if you were to separate him from the crown, he would lose access to whatever powers the crown is granting.
[00:43:54] Speaker B: Going to slowly move forward and be like, well, you're so far away. Let us come closer a little.
And I just want to get about. I would say 40ft away from him.
[00:44:08] Speaker G: Which in a room this size, 40ft feels very, very close.
[00:44:11] Speaker B: Yes, I know.
[00:44:11] Speaker D: I'll move along there with him.
Oh, my gosh. It's, like, right in front of us.
[00:44:16] Speaker B: That's fine.
[00:44:16] Speaker C: You'd have to start, like, climbing up onto the day.
[00:44:19] Speaker B: That's okay.
[00:44:19] Speaker D: I'll go with him.
[00:44:20] Speaker G: So when you get just to where you're about to pass the tables, so you are still, like 60, 70ft away from him.
[00:44:28] Speaker C: He's like, that's close enough.
[00:44:31] Speaker B: Okay, I'm gonna send my unseen servant out and about to see if he can climb up the.
Fly up the giant and remove the crown.
[00:44:41] Speaker G: Is your unseen servant your phantasmal minion? Is he bound to you by any distance?
[00:44:46] Speaker B: It doesn't. It says the range is 60ft, but that's for casting. And it doesn't say specifically if it's bound near me or not, so that I'm going to leave that up to you.
[00:44:53] Speaker G: Since it is sustained, I think it would have to remain within the range of the spell so you can sustain it.
[00:44:59] Speaker B: That makes sense.
[00:45:00] Speaker A: But is. That is within range, isn't it not.
[00:45:03] Speaker B: No, it's 60ft.
[00:45:04] Speaker A: So 75.
[00:45:06] Speaker G: He would have to get about 75 or 80ft away from Albert to be able to do anything.
[00:45:12] Speaker B: Can I have my unseen servant fly the height upward that he is, like, where his head's at?
[00:45:18] Speaker D: I could have Sigurd steal it.
[00:45:21] Speaker B: That would put Sigurd in danger.
[00:45:25] Speaker F: Are you willing to risk your burden.
[00:45:27] Speaker D: Probably beat this guy up?
[00:45:29] Speaker F: Are you willing to risk that I.
[00:45:32] Speaker D: Can get involved or something?
[00:45:33] Speaker C: What are you all muttering about down there?
[00:45:36] Speaker D: Are you wanting.
[00:45:37] Speaker F: Sorry, that was out of character.
[00:45:38] Speaker D: Are you at all willing to maybe, like, speak with us and help us out, like, about this whole Fafnir thing?
[00:45:45] Speaker C: What do you want?
[00:45:46] Speaker D: Your assistance. We need the assistance of this castle and the crown of the storm king.
[00:45:52] Speaker C: And what are you willing to give?
[00:45:55] Speaker D: What do you. What do you.
[00:45:56] Speaker C: What do you.
[00:45:56] Speaker D: What do you want?
[00:45:57] Speaker C: What do you have?
[00:45:59] Speaker D: I mean, we have a bunch of kings that will give stuff.
[00:46:02] Speaker C: You got kings? I don't see no kings.
[00:46:04] Speaker B: No, they.
[00:46:05] Speaker A: They're.
[00:46:05] Speaker B: They'll help us when we need them.
[00:46:07] Speaker E: It's stuff we give you, not the kings.
[00:46:09] Speaker D: Yeah, they sent us to talk to you.
[00:46:11] Speaker G: Oh, I see.
[00:46:12] Speaker C: So you're promising fealty?
[00:46:14] Speaker B: No.
[00:46:16] Speaker D: Is that what you want?
[00:46:17] Speaker C: Yeah, I want all the kings to bow down before me and tell me, down the High King.
[00:46:22] Speaker D: We haven't been approved for that.
[00:46:23] Speaker B: Oh, you want to be High King?
[00:46:25] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:46:26] Speaker B: You have to kill the dragon that we're fighting.
[00:46:29] Speaker D: If you kill Fafnir in one on one combat, then you'll become high king of the whole land.
[00:46:34] Speaker C: Well, that seems silly. I kill all sorts of things all the time, and nobody wants me to be king.
[00:46:38] Speaker D: That's because Fafnir is more dangerous than everything else you've killed.
[00:46:43] Speaker D: Well, you can prove your might and fight him one on one, which he.
[00:46:50] Speaker B: Has a special breath that only you can prevent, since you have the crown.
[00:46:54] Speaker G: Well, now you're all buttering me up.
[00:46:56] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:47:01] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:47:03] Speaker C: And what do you get out of this if I go and kill this Fafnir?
[00:47:06] Speaker D: We don't.
[00:47:06] Speaker F: We get to live.
[00:47:07] Speaker B: Everyone lives. Yeah.
[00:47:09] Speaker D: Oh, Fafnir is threatening to kill everyone.
[00:47:11] Speaker C: I mean, I feel like that's worth swearing fealty to the guy who saved your neck.
[00:47:15] Speaker B: Only if you kill Fafnir one on one.
[00:47:18] Speaker A: It is kind of implicated that if you become the high king of all the area, then everybody swears fealty to you.
[00:47:24] Speaker C: That's a good point. That's why they pay you the big bucks.
[00:47:28] Speaker D: I just want to.
[00:47:29] Speaker F: Are you getting paid?
[00:47:30] Speaker D: I just feel I need to stress the one on one fact. You have to fight him by yourself.
[00:47:36] Speaker C: I mean, that's. That's fine. Where is this? Where is this twerp?
[00:47:42] Speaker A: He is in Sigrungir forest.
[00:47:44] Speaker D: Yeah. After he broke a mountain range waking up, he went over to the forest.
[00:47:49] Speaker A: Let's not give too many exaggerated details.
[00:47:52] Speaker B: Oh, I'm sure it's.
I'm sure the high king of this castle would never back down of some.
[00:48:02] Speaker C: Hold on a minute. I feel like you're trying to set me up for a trap.
[00:48:07] Speaker B: No, we're just trying to get you to do what we want.
[00:48:09] Speaker D: I'm just trying to let you know how dangerous this is.
[00:48:13] Speaker A: It would be a challenge, even with your might.
[00:48:17] Speaker C: I want you all to know that if you're trying to set me up for a trap, you're wasting your time. Cause I will bust out of there so fast.
[00:48:28] Speaker B: Shh.
[00:48:30] Speaker F: So it's not a trap.
[00:48:32] Speaker D: I don't. Listen, I really. I'm feeling this urge to hurt this man, and I don't want ignore that.
[00:48:40] Speaker F: Urge for push that urge deep down.
[00:48:43] Speaker B: I'm gonna switch to Elven and speak to Val. He's very dumb, and I feel like we can use that.
[00:48:51] Speaker D: I don't want to manipulate someone either.
[00:48:54] Speaker B: Right. What languages do we have in common on my level? Wait. Do you speak?
[00:48:58] Speaker F: I don't speak Elven.
[00:48:59] Speaker B: Okay. What do you speak?
[00:49:00] Speaker F: I Speak common. Empyrean, Necril, Taldane, Zakroth, and shadow tongue.
[00:49:05] Speaker B: I speak. Oh, I'm gonna switch to shadow tongue. And I'm gonna speak to you. Right. So Val doesn't want to manipulate him. Would you be on board with manipulating this giant?
[00:49:13] Speaker G: Yes.
[00:49:13] Speaker B: Okay. Fantastic.
[00:49:14] Speaker F: Speaking my love language.
[00:49:15] Speaker A: Switch to ancient Thessalonian with him.
So are we going to get him to fight Fafnir?
[00:49:22] Speaker B: That's the hope. I'm gonna switch back to common.
[00:49:25] Speaker D: Then we'd lose the crown. If he went to 1v1 him.
[00:49:29] Speaker B: It's fine.
[00:49:30] Speaker F: Is he speaking common or is he.
[00:49:32] Speaker B: We need the crown to fight Fafnir.
[00:49:33] Speaker D: But if he goes to 1v1 Fafnir. Fafnir has the crown.
[00:49:38] Speaker B: We'll figure that out.
[00:49:41] Speaker B: Well, so we're setting up to fight him, and if you want to become high king, you can come and fight him during that time.
[00:49:51] Speaker C: Yeah, but then I wouldn't be one v. Oneing.
[00:49:55] Speaker A: We would let. Let you take him.
[00:49:56] Speaker B: We're setting up the fight. We're not.
[00:49:58] Speaker C: Oh, so you'd just be, like, the audience?
[00:50:00] Speaker B: Sure. Or the.
[00:50:01] Speaker A: The referee. We would be witnesses to your greatness.
[00:50:04] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Because we'd need.
[00:50:05] Speaker A: If you wish. When you win. Yeah, if win.
[00:50:08] Speaker C: I mean, this seems fair.
I don't know why you had to break in to offer this.
[00:50:13] Speaker G: You could have sent a letter.
[00:50:14] Speaker D: Your guys tried to kill us. That's.
[00:50:16] Speaker C: Well, they're hungry.
[00:50:18] Speaker B: Why don't you let.
[00:50:18] Speaker F: There's a bunch of food in here.
[00:50:20] Speaker C: They. They didn't earn it.
Okay.
[00:50:24] Speaker E: Meanwhile, Zafir is at the table snacking.
[00:50:26] Speaker D: Down a little bit.
[00:50:27] Speaker C: That's fine. You got me like you got me a job. It's cool.
[00:50:32] Speaker E: Raises a chicken leg that is twice.
[00:50:34] Speaker B: The size of it. This did not go how I thought it would go. It never does.
[00:50:39] Speaker E: Giant. What was it?
[00:50:40] Speaker G: Raven?
[00:50:40] Speaker E: Cardinal rock.
I'm eating a rock.
[00:50:45] Speaker C: So did you. Did you need any? Well, what? You.
[00:50:48] Speaker G: You told me where you saw him.
[00:50:49] Speaker C: He was up.
[00:50:50] Speaker A: He was heading to the. Do you have a map?
[00:50:53] Speaker C: I don't need a map. I have a photographic memory of the entire world.
[00:50:57] Speaker D: We need you to have the audience. You have to wait. The fight happens. So you would need to go over to Joel.
[00:51:05] Speaker C: No, no, that's fine.
[00:51:06] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:51:06] Speaker C: They've got plenty of food over there.
[00:51:08] Speaker D: Where? What?
That's where Osteg is bad. That's where Osteg is.
[00:51:14] Speaker D: But they've got. He's got to join up.
[00:51:16] Speaker A: He switches to Elvin. They eat people. Where do you think you're going. They're going to snack. But he's not honorable.
[00:51:23] Speaker D: They have to be there.
[00:51:24] Speaker A: They're not going to be there. But then you put all the city in danger.
[00:51:30] Speaker C: Why are you guys mumbling and made up words again?
[00:51:35] Speaker B: It's a hobby of ours.
[00:51:36] Speaker C: Oh, should I stick to common?
[00:51:38] Speaker D: If he switches to camo, there won't be anyone else there with him.
[00:51:41] Speaker A: Well, hold on. Any switches to common? Do we have a way to contact you whenever we are heading towards Zephafnir?
[00:51:49] Speaker C: I don't know. Do you?
[00:51:51] Speaker E: We could send a letter.
[00:51:52] Speaker C: Oh, you could send a letter.
[00:51:53] Speaker A: This is Postman Paul.
[00:51:56] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, he good friend. Yeah, I've got a whole room set aside for him. Whenever he comes by, we will send.
[00:52:02] Speaker A: A letter through Postman Paul.
[00:52:04] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah. Boy, you should see.
[00:52:07] Speaker C: What.
[00:52:09] Speaker D: What you should.
[00:52:13] Speaker F: You do this.
[00:52:14] Speaker C: You should see that guy climb that chain up here. Just lick it. He split super fast.
[00:52:21] Speaker B: Also Uber. You know where we are now? You're not planning on moving this castle, are you?
[00:52:26] Speaker C: Oh, not anytime soon, no.
[00:52:28] Speaker B: So you could teleport us here whenever that is true.
[00:52:31] Speaker C: I mean, that's kind of rude, but it's true.
[00:52:34] Speaker A: I mean, if you give us your permission now that I can do it. It's not rude.
[00:52:38] Speaker B: Right?
[00:52:39] Speaker C: Okay, Only if it's important. Like, you know, if you're being attacked by this big monster or if you've got a bunch of food you want to bring me.
[00:52:48] Speaker A: Understood.
Not Joel in Elvin.
[00:52:54] Speaker D: That's what a co bol for.
[00:52:56] Speaker C: But I'll have you know, this castle, when it gets moving, it goes fast. You tell me where to be and I'll be there.
[00:53:03] Speaker G: Just like that.
[00:53:04] Speaker C: Like lightning fast.
I didn't mean that one.
[00:53:10] Speaker B: Oh my gosh.
[00:53:14] Speaker A: Approximately how fast?
Mechanics wise. If you could break it down in that way.
[00:53:19] Speaker C: Oh, you know, I'm not a big mechanic kind of guy, but I mean, like, you know, like maybe 600 fly speed.
It's pretty fast.
[00:53:29] Speaker F: Pretty darn fast.
[00:53:31] Speaker D: Pretty fast.
[00:53:33] Speaker A: That would break down the distance to travel to.
[00:53:36] Speaker C: Oh, I don't know.
[00:53:38] Speaker G: Let's see.
[00:53:39] Speaker C: Let me check my travel time chart that I have up here on my dais.
[00:53:44] Speaker C: Let's see if you've got a travel speed of 10ft. That's one mile per hour. So that would mean I could go, you know, like 30 miles an hour.
[00:53:55] Speaker E: What's that in metric? I've recently converted to the metric system.
[00:53:58] Speaker C: Oh, well, let me just pull up my little chart here.
[00:54:02] Speaker E: I don't actually want to know. I don't want to know.
[00:54:04] Speaker C: It's gonna be, you know, like 48.28 kilometers per hour.
[00:54:09] Speaker D: So slow.
[00:54:11] Speaker C: It's a giant castle.
[00:54:13] Speaker B: And to be fair, what else in this world can travel that fast?
[00:54:17] Speaker A: Fafnir.
[00:54:17] Speaker E: Me.
[00:54:18] Speaker B: Apart from the giant linorm.
[00:54:20] Speaker A: I have no idea.
[00:54:21] Speaker D: Actually, he just said. Look at. He split. Landing fast. I thought of you.
[00:54:25] Speaker A: So 30 miles an hour. How far is he from Fafnir's lair?
[00:54:29] Speaker C: Oh, that's.
You guys are asking me all the good questions today.
Let me check that.
[00:54:36] Speaker E: We're just relying on your photographic memory of the entire world. It's. You're very helpful. Thank you.
[00:54:40] Speaker C: And I appreciate that. That honor and respect that you are giving me by respecting my photographic memory.
[00:54:47] Speaker D: I don't think it's ever wanted to play a non pacifistic character.
[00:54:53] Speaker D: I want to wear that crown. I want to become a storm giant. But I'm Val wouldn't do that.
[00:54:59] Speaker B: What if it only works on you?
[00:55:00] Speaker A: I want to wear the crown.
[00:55:02] Speaker B: That would be very funny.
[00:55:03] Speaker E: This guy is so pilgrim coded. If he were evil.
[00:55:06] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:55:07] Speaker E: Or not evil, but, like, bad.
[00:55:08] Speaker D: Yeah. Pilgrim.
[00:55:09] Speaker C: Then it probably take me like three hours to get to the center of the Grungia forest. If that's where the party's happening.
[00:55:17] Speaker D: Wherever we go, the party's there, so.
[00:55:20] Speaker B: And I'm gonna turn and whisper in common to everyone so we don't have to bounce between languages. Is that all we needed, was the corrobora, or do we actually need the physical crown?
[00:55:29] Speaker D: I'm.
[00:55:30] Speaker A: I think that we can actually let him.
[00:55:32] Speaker D: You know, I'm concerned during the actual fight that him having the crown will be very unhelpful.
[00:55:38] Speaker B: What, do you think we should just stay and steal it?
[00:55:41] Speaker D: No, I don't want to do that, though.
That'd be very bad.
[00:55:45] Speaker B: What else are we gonna do?
[00:55:46] Speaker D: I don't know.
[00:55:48] Speaker B: It's either kill him, take it, or.
[00:55:49] Speaker D: It'S moral dilemmas I deal with all the time, and I never have a good answer for them.
[00:55:56] Speaker B: I turned to Neros and I'm like, neros, can you get him to show us the crown? So maybe we could take it and then run.
[00:56:03] Speaker A: He's swearing. The crown.
[00:56:04] Speaker D: We just made a deal with it. Why would we steal it now?
[00:56:06] Speaker A: What?
[00:56:06] Speaker B: You said you're worried about the deal.
[00:56:09] Speaker D: I mean, it's true, but I don't want to encourage theft.
[00:56:13] Speaker B: Or I don't want to steal it either, but it's either that or we have to. You know, the other thing.
[00:56:21] Speaker D: I don't want to do that.
He seems nice enough. He's talking to us.
I don't like him very much, but he seems nice enough. I don't want to just lob his head off or anything like that.
[00:56:33] Speaker F: If we just steal it, he's going to hunt us down.
[00:56:36] Speaker E: So Zafir is slowly walking up to him.
[00:56:38] Speaker D: But if you steal it, he's just back to like a hill giant. Right? Like you were thinking.
[00:56:42] Speaker F: Who's to say?
[00:56:44] Speaker B: We don't know.
[00:56:47] Speaker E: I'm waiting for a reaction. I don't know if he's gonna say anything.
[00:56:49] Speaker G: He's too busy watching the group, muttering and everything.
[00:56:52] Speaker B: And we're too busy.
[00:56:52] Speaker G: Unless you're intentionally drawing attention, I think you're gonna be able to get pretty close.
[00:56:57] Speaker E: I'm just walking nonchalantly like an average person would. Not trying to hide or anything.
[00:57:02] Speaker D: But I have a question.
[00:57:03] Speaker E: Yes, sir?
[00:57:04] Speaker D: Sigurin has been spending a lot of time with you.
Sigurin's a corvid, right? Ravens are corvids.
[00:57:10] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:57:11] Speaker D: They like to steal stuff.
And you like to steal stuff.
She's ready to back you up if you need anything. If you're gonna try and steal anything.
[00:57:19] Speaker E: I love the faith that you have in me.
[00:57:21] Speaker D: I don't know what you're gonna do. I'm just saying I think Sigurin's a fan of you in stealing. But she's a good bird.
[00:57:30] Speaker A: Sigrun's hanging out in the rafters of the room.
[00:57:33] Speaker B: Oh yeah.
[00:57:35] Speaker G: So Zafir, if you are just casually, nonchalantly walking up, how close do you want to get before changing? Just walking up to him?
[00:57:45] Speaker E: As close as I can get to the table. I don't have to be right next to him.
[00:57:50] Speaker G: Yeah, I mean you could easily reach the table. He definitely does not notice you approaching.
[00:57:55] Speaker D: At this point, you're even smaller. They already care so little for us.
[00:58:00] Speaker G: From his perspective, zafir is like 10 inches tall.
[00:58:03] Speaker A: Oh, true.
[00:58:05] Speaker E: I might need to switch gears here since I'm getting away with so much.
[00:58:10] Speaker F: You can thieve it maybe somehow. I don't know how you'd get up.
[00:58:13] Speaker B: Punch it off the head.
[00:58:15] Speaker F: Or you could get behind him and then send Rustaford out and snatch it off his head.
[00:58:19] Speaker D: Well, how, how heavy is the crown?
[00:58:22] Speaker F: I don't know.
[00:58:23] Speaker C: This is a real good question. How heavy is the crown?
[00:58:26] Speaker D: Because I don't. I don't think rusted would be able to budge that thing.
[00:58:30] Speaker E: How does it look attached to the. Like, does it look like it would be easily yoinked or would it take some two handed some Tear.
[00:58:39] Speaker G: Seeing as it's actively crackling with electricity, it might be uncomfortable to touch it.
[00:58:45] Speaker E: Okay, so throw water on his head. How tall is this desk or this table?
[00:58:51] Speaker G: It's about six feet tall.
[00:58:53] Speaker E: I'm going to start climbing the leg your knitting needles.
[00:58:58] Speaker G: If you would like to continue being undetected at this point, I'll need a stealth check. But if you're just being nonchalant, he will notice you.
[00:59:07] Speaker E: I'm being just nonchalant.
[00:59:09] Speaker D: I like to think. I like to think of the last time you're a nonchalant next to a giant. A giant monster and stepped on you.
[00:59:19] Speaker G: All right, so Zafir, you are climbing this table leg nonchalantly.
[00:59:24] Speaker G: So as small as you are to him, it was easy for you to get this close without being noticed. But now, climbing the leg of the table next to him, he just kind of glances down just like, can I help you?
[00:59:36] Speaker E: As he approaches the top with his knitting needles into the each legs, making small grunts as he gets there, climbs up to the top. He reaches into his cloak and he pulls out a little card with a Z on it and says, my card. In case you need to contact us. And he lays it on the table.
[00:59:55] Speaker D: What?
[00:59:55] Speaker A: It's like the size. It's smaller than a postage stamp.
[00:59:59] Speaker C: That's very nice. That's very nice.
Good thing I've got this memorized because I'm not gonna be able to read it again.
[01:00:07] Speaker E: That's okay. It's not. Not made for reading.
[01:00:13] Speaker C: But if that's all you had, I'm kind of uncomfortable with the, you know, somebody from outside of my nice clean castle standing right next to my food.
[01:00:21] Speaker E: Oh, I'm incredibly clean. In fact, I took a bath just two books ago.
[01:00:26] Speaker C: Oh, wow, that's. That's very recent. Okay.
[01:00:35] Speaker C: So are we settled then? In your hour of darkest need, you'll send a letter via Postman Paul and. And I'm gonna solo this twerp that's giving you trouble.
[01:00:45] Speaker B: So again, like, do we feel like that's okay?
[01:00:50] Speaker A: I see Uvaire sees Zafir up on the dais.
[01:00:57] Speaker G: He's on the table up here next to me. Yeah.
[01:01:01] Speaker A: He looks up at you and tries to get your attention.
[01:01:04] Speaker E: I mean, he's turning back to jump off the table.
[01:01:07] Speaker A: At some point. He just motions to his ear.
[01:01:11] Speaker E: I don't know what this means.
[01:01:11] Speaker B: You have a cantrip, my friend.
Message.
[01:01:15] Speaker E: Oh.
[01:01:17] Speaker E: I shoot a message.
[01:01:18] Speaker B: What do you want?
[01:01:20] Speaker A: Are you going to steal it?
[01:01:22] Speaker E: That wasn't the plan.
[01:01:24] Speaker A: You sent it one back. What was the plan to give him.
[01:01:28] Speaker E: My card is this.
[01:01:29] Speaker C: Is this the commitment?
[01:01:34] Speaker B: No, but maybe.
[01:01:36] Speaker C: Oh. Do you need some time to think about it?
[01:01:38] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:01:40] Speaker B: Yes, we do.
[01:01:43] Speaker C: Volas.
[01:01:46] Speaker C: After an uncomfortably long time, Volas walks in covered with bruises.
What are you. You know what? I don't care. You two can keep fighting. All you need to show these guests to the guest room.
They're going to spend the night.
[01:02:04] Speaker F: Oh, no.
[01:02:06] Speaker B: Why did you say that like that?
[01:02:08] Speaker G: Because that is where we'll end this episode.
[01:02:10] Speaker B: No. So why did you say it like that?
[01:02:14] Speaker G: All right. And the hero point for this episode goes to Sam for some. Not only some fun role playing, but a duel that ended pretty well for Val this time.
[01:02:24] Speaker F: This time?
[01:02:26] Speaker D: Yeah.
It was really fun, though.
That was fun. I liked doing it. It was exciting. Thank you for letting me fight these guys.
[01:02:36] Speaker D: And thank you, Howard, for letting me know that I should just beat them up and then it'll be okay.
[01:02:42] Speaker B: You're welcome.
[01:02:45] Speaker D: So thank you for the hero point.
I look forward to utilizing this in the next duel.
Eventually I won't have this up at that point, but I'm gonna go and sleep.
[01:03:01] Speaker G: And as our team is finding their way to the guest room to sleep the night and mull this idea over in their minds, I would like you all to head to the Discord and hope futilely scream at them, telling them, either do it or don't do it. Because by the time this episode will have released, we'll have already recorded the follow up and it's gonna be like that meme with Walter White in the car.
[01:03:21] Speaker C: Like, no, don't do it.
[01:03:27] Speaker G: And with that, I bid you all farewell. Until next time.
[01:03:31] Speaker C: Bye.

[01:04:28] Speaker E: What?
