[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part. Such as like comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:31] Speaker B: Now, where did we leave off? Ah, yes, in Tar Khazmuk Uvaire, Val and Delilah prepared to face the invading fire elementals and close the portal to the plane of fire. When the fire elementals finally breached the containing door, Uwe cast a howling blizzard through the hole they created. [00:01:05] Speaker C: Hey, listeners, come here. No closer. It's me, Harold, your favorite written in the lost guest. And yes, I know what you're thinking. You're the only written in the lost guest. But don't think about that right now. What I need you to do. It's just us. Nobody else is here. Shh. I need you to go to our discord. The link is in the show notes, it's in the description. It's super easy to find. I need you to go there and I need you to find whatever thread seems the most appropriate. I need you to go. Wow, that Harold guy, he's awesome. He should stay on permanently. And if you do that for me, and I promise you that if I get put on permanently. Listen, we. We already have a Steven. We two Stevens is too many. And you know which one is better. Go into Discord. I be. I'm being kidnapped. I'm being silenced. I will find out every secret Jordy has and I will leak it to you, dear listeners. Don't worry, he's not here to stop me. Okay, bye. We're gonna resume normal episode now. Normal banter. [00:02:22] Speaker B: Oh boy. Here I am walking into the room and I definitely have not been here the whole time. [00:02:27] Speaker D: You're so. [00:02:28] Speaker C: Ah, Jordy, it's so good to see you. [00:02:31] Speaker D: The lack of shave you have. [00:02:35] Speaker B: Listen, Sam. [00:02:36] Speaker C: Nope. Sam, I'm trying to get people to go to the Discord. [00:02:40] Speaker D: I pulled your chair away and you still. [00:02:44] Speaker A: Carol, Carol, there can only be one. [00:02:48] Speaker C: Yeah, and listen, if it's hand to hand combat, I know which one of us is. Is winning. [00:02:52] Speaker D: Hey, keep in mind, you're both in Delta green. You're both in records of the unknown. There's two there. [00:02:59] Speaker C: Listen, I don't want to step on anybody's toes. What I really want is for you to go to the Discord and interact with posts there. Yes. Yeah, no ulterior motive, wink. [00:03:10] Speaker B: Just any. Any kind of interaction. [00:03:12] Speaker C: Yes, even better. Go to our patreon. You know, that's there. That exists. There are things there for You. [00:03:18] Speaker A: I feel safer already. [00:03:20] Speaker D: I think I hurt my finger pulling you away. [00:03:23] Speaker C: Well, whose fault is that, Sam? [00:03:25] Speaker D: Yours? It's not mine. What did I do? [00:03:29] Speaker C: You pulled me away from my microphone. [00:03:31] Speaker D: Well, it was for the bit. [00:03:34] Speaker C: I did say I was doing a [00:03:35] Speaker A: bit, and I was totally not snickering over here. [00:03:40] Speaker C: No, of course you weren't, because you weren't here. [00:03:42] Speaker A: What? [00:03:42] Speaker C: That message I left for the listeners that only they heard? [00:03:46] Speaker A: I have no idea. [00:03:47] Speaker C: We're not snickering at that. [00:03:49] Speaker B: I definitely wouldn't, like, like, eavesdrop on a message to the listeners. [00:03:53] Speaker C: No, no, no, that. [00:03:56] Speaker B: Can you imagine listening back to something that's going to be released publicly? [00:04:00] Speaker C: Yeah, you don't do that. I asked you guys on the previous banter if you guys listen to your stuff, and Sam said he didn'. [00:04:06] Speaker B: Right, he did ask us that. [00:04:07] Speaker D: He did get with the Sven where it listens to the editing. Oh, well. [00:04:12] Speaker C: Well, then that makes him a listener, I guess. And so that means it's okay. [00:04:15] Speaker A: It's okay. [00:04:16] Speaker D: Listen, I just don't listen, like any actual plays anymore as much as I like. But I make them. [00:04:23] Speaker A: He makes them. He's, he's a good maker, which is fine. [00:04:26] Speaker D: I like producing. Contact me. I'll produce stuff. [00:04:30] Speaker A: Contact Me. Albertus. [00:04:31] Speaker C: He'll produce things. [00:04:34] Speaker B: There's like, oh, boy. What I really need right now is a custom set of hinges. Sam, here's 10 bucks. [00:04:43] Speaker A: Go to Lowe's. Give me half. [00:04:46] Speaker D: Give me half. [00:04:47] Speaker B: This relationship doesn't seem to be working. [00:04:50] Speaker A: He produced something. Money, but he produced it. [00:04:53] Speaker D: Producer, Jordan, it means I pay for you to do stuff and I get money back. [00:04:56] Speaker B: You don't produce things. You don't make things. [00:04:58] Speaker D: No, I give you money to make things. [00:05:02] Speaker C: That sounds great. You can, you can give me money to make things. [00:05:07] Speaker A: I, I will make you all the things. [00:05:08] Speaker D: I will give you a cast and say make a thing. [00:05:13] Speaker C: I know we've actually talked about this. [00:05:15] Speaker B: Are you threatening to break his arm? No. [00:05:18] Speaker D: I mean, if it needs to be done. [00:05:20] Speaker C: Thing is, Sam has already put me in a cast multiple times. [00:05:25] Speaker B: Just tonight. Wow. [00:05:27] Speaker C: Well, not right now, but I, I, [00:05:29] Speaker A: I don't, I don't know how bad this is, but as soon as you said cast is like, so I'll make you a system. [00:05:36] Speaker B: A what? Cast system. [00:05:38] Speaker D: Oh, there's no E, Sven. There's no E. I can't see the E. Or lack thereof. He certainly couldn't picture subtitles. [00:05:51] Speaker A: Wait, why do you have subtitles? [00:05:53] Speaker C: You mean you don't. [00:05:54] Speaker D: You remember the TV hit your Home is so big, you shouldn't even need subtitles. Just read lips. You can see the lack of E in the name. [00:06:03] Speaker A: Why are you on my tv? [00:06:05] Speaker D: Why are you watching me on your tv? I could make like the ring and come crawling through. [00:06:14] Speaker A: Wah. [00:06:16] Speaker C: Why did I think Lord of the Rings? I think if you hear the word ring, that's where your mind just automatically goes. [00:06:26] Speaker D: I would have been shocked if you actually thought of the ring I was referencing before you thought of Lord of the Rings. [00:06:31] Speaker B: That makes sense. [00:06:32] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:33] Speaker A: That's guessing. [00:06:34] Speaker B: It's a. [00:06:35] Speaker A: A horror genre. [00:06:36] Speaker D: Oh my gosh, no. [00:06:37] Speaker A: Okay. [00:06:37] Speaker D: All right. It is. It is. [00:06:39] Speaker C: 100% is. [00:06:40] Speaker D: It's. [00:06:40] Speaker C: Have you seen the creepy girl crawling out of the TV in any. [00:06:43] Speaker A: The. The one with the long black hair? [00:06:45] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:46] Speaker A: Seen memes. [00:06:47] Speaker C: That's enough. [00:06:48] Speaker D: That's what? [00:06:48] Speaker C: I've not seen the movie. [00:06:49] Speaker D: You watched me do that. You're going to die in three days unless you show someone else. [00:06:54] Speaker C: Or if I turn off the tv. What? While you're in the middle of crawling out of it? [00:06:59] Speaker A: Turn it up. [00:07:00] Speaker C: I just get cut to half. [00:07:03] Speaker B: That is how you get Darth mauled. Yes. [00:07:05] Speaker C: We got qui goning. We got Darth mauling off camera. [00:07:08] Speaker D: We talked about how he was legolosing through the qui Gon. [00:07:11] Speaker B: Yeah. So let me kind of explain that here, because where we last left off, this ifrit had stabbed its flaming greatsword directly through the steel reinforced door, had superheated it to the point where the plating fell off, leaving a gaping hole. Qui Goning through the door, if you will. And as this hole had opened at that exact moment, Uver unleashed his spell of cold damage right through the hole in the door. Legolasing, if you will, through the hole in the door blasted this ifrit for half of its maximum health. And we are now entering initiative. [00:07:47] Speaker D: Wow. He just Legolas through that Qui Gon. [00:07:51] Speaker B: Uvair 34, Delilah 38 and Val 31. [00:07:59] Speaker C: 31. [00:08:01] Speaker D: 31. [00:08:02] Speaker B: All right, with those rolls then. Delilah, you are up first. [00:08:06] Speaker C: Okay. [00:08:06] Speaker D: Failure. Delilah. Sorry, I had to do it once. [00:08:11] Speaker C: It was only a matter of time, really. [00:08:13] Speaker D: I'll do it again later. [00:08:14] Speaker C: Here's the thing. I wasn't prepared to go first. I thought somebody else was gonna go first. [00:08:18] Speaker D: All right, thanks. We're skip. You. [00:08:21] Speaker A: You can hold action. [00:08:23] Speaker C: I could. I will delay. [00:08:24] Speaker A: Oh. [00:08:25] Speaker D: Aha. [00:08:27] Speaker B: In that case. Uver. [00:08:29] Speaker A: What's funny is that I can't actually talk to him without a translator. [00:08:32] Speaker C: That's right. That's me. [00:08:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:08:34] Speaker B: So as a reminder to the listeners, Uvair is currently wreathed in flame and has just jetted cold through a hole in the door. As he is. What? You're under the effects of fiery body still? [00:08:44] Speaker D: Yes. [00:08:45] Speaker A: Yes, I am. [00:08:47] Speaker D: He's hot. [00:08:48] Speaker A: After he blasts the E Freet with howling blizzard, which if you look at it, is weirdly ethereal flames with the snow and ice, as if the magic of his fiery body is still affecting it. With the howl, you hear this slam of his staff hitting the ground. And behind the Efreet down the hall, this ethereal vortex starts forming. And underneath it, the stone and the walls being cracking and aging visible to the naked eye as he casts that third level awaken entropy. And even though the E Freet can't understand him. You say that you will conquer this land, that you will give it as a gift to Ymiri. But you have walked into my home, and these are my lands, and you killed my friend for that. The only thing Ymirri will have is the ashes of your heart. [00:10:09] Speaker B: So as you finish your speech, the ifrit replies, we will bring your ashes to our queen. [00:10:18] Speaker A: That is actually my full action. [00:10:19] Speaker B: Oh, that is a three action spell. [00:10:21] Speaker A: That is a three action spell. [00:10:22] Speaker B: I was waiting for that final action. [00:10:24] Speaker A: No. [00:10:25] Speaker B: All right, well then, Delilah, would you like to jump back in? [00:10:28] Speaker C: Sure, I think I will. I don't have a lot to do, but I think first off, I'm going to cast haste on myself. And then that's my first two actions. Though technically I have a third one because I'm hasted now, so haste won't [00:10:46] Speaker B: affect you until the start. [00:10:47] Speaker C: Oh, does it not good to know [00:10:48] Speaker B: it's at the beginning of your turn. When you gain actions is when you gain a bonus action for being hasted. [00:10:53] Speaker C: That's good to know. I did not know that. Do I move up there with him? I think I will. Go ahead and just make me step up and to the left to fill that spot. So I'm standing next to Uber. [00:11:08] Speaker B: So now Delilah and Uvair are standing side by side. Kind of fill in the doorway. [00:11:12] Speaker C: Yes. Point of order. So in case anybody's keeping track of my spell slots, which I don't think they are. I am. [00:11:18] Speaker D: I am. [00:11:18] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Well, I cast that haste using one of my spell slots that I get from my wizard archetype, not my make a spell slots. [00:11:28] Speaker D: Neat. That's sweet sauce. You cast it on yourself? [00:11:31] Speaker A: Yes. [00:11:32] Speaker D: I'm gonna run right through that awaken entry. [00:11:35] Speaker A: I wouldn't. [00:11:36] Speaker C: And that is the end of my turn. [00:11:38] Speaker A: All right. [00:11:38] Speaker B: Because you haste step. [00:11:40] Speaker C: All right. [00:11:41] Speaker B: Val, you are next. [00:11:42] Speaker D: Well, looking through this situation, these guys want to kind of destroy everything. I'm going to stab my glass life through my friends, right around them, into the ifrit sitting right at the doorway. So I'll just make a basic attack here. Strike, if you will. A 38. [00:12:04] Speaker B: That is a critical hit. [00:12:06] Speaker D: Oh, a critical hit. So that's gonna be three D8 and a D6 of cold damage one day. I should name my glaive. I never named my Glaive.46 slashing damage and 12 cold damage. Oh, and a deadly D8.5 extra damage. [00:12:33] Speaker B: Val swings her Glaive between the two standing at the doorway and slashes through that melted hole in the door. And as it cuts through the ifrit, just the ice crystals just splinter across its body as it slides back into the hallway and just falls, still frozen. [00:12:49] Speaker D: Do when they die like this, do they just go back to the plane of fire, or do their souls actually move on? [00:12:55] Speaker B: Its soul is hovering in a spiral. [00:12:58] Speaker D: Oh, no. I'll eat it. [00:13:00] Speaker B: And then it starts being pulled back towards that open portal to the plane of fire. [00:13:06] Speaker D: Cool. [00:13:07] Speaker B: Val, you have two actions left. [00:13:11] Speaker D: All right, well, we've got to figure out a way down there right now to take off that portal. How big does this thing get? Uber. [00:13:21] Speaker A: You wouldn't want to get in it, but they will. [00:13:26] Speaker D: Is it gonna get big enough? [00:13:30] Speaker A: I am quite assured that they will be be feeling it soon. [00:13:35] Speaker D: Okay, I'll give this a shot then. I'm going to cast at third level Moonlight Ray at the ifrit on the right at the end of the hallway. Since that hallway is blocked, my movement without me taking, like, what, 86 damage? All right, Moonlight Ray is a spell attack roll, so I'm going to make that roll. I only have a plus 19 to hit with this. Natural 20. [00:14:07] Speaker B: As you might imagine, that is a critical hit. Critical hit. Who has the crit hit cards? [00:14:13] Speaker D: This should be by Sven somewhere. [00:14:15] Speaker A: Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the game of who Got Critted? [00:14:20] Speaker D: I mean, we all know who got Critted. It's that guy over there. [00:14:24] Speaker A: Well, at least just draw the cards now, shall we? [00:14:27] Speaker D: Well, the cards aren't going to tell us who got created. We already know who got created. He's right there. [00:14:32] Speaker A: Now, before the audience, please tell us, what was your damage type? [00:14:36] Speaker D: It was a spell. [00:14:38] Speaker A: Well, according to this Critical hit card, Intense splash, the target takes normal damage, and all creatures adjacent to the target take half damage of the same type. [00:14:54] Speaker C: Ouch. [00:14:55] Speaker D: That's nice. I. I kind of miss getting the double damage, but that's fine. [00:14:59] Speaker A: Well, we all can get what we want. Now. Back to you, Jordan. [00:15:03] Speaker C: True. [00:15:04] Speaker B: Why did that feel like there's supposed to be a laugh track? [00:15:09] Speaker D: All right, well, that's gonna be 5D6. I assume they're not unholy. [00:15:14] Speaker B: They are. [00:15:15] Speaker D: They're unholy. [00:15:16] Speaker B: They actually are. [00:15:17] Speaker D: So it's 5d6 cold and 5d6 spirit damage. [00:15:22] Speaker B: Normally, ifrits would not be unholy, but these ones have dedicated themselves to imiri and are then therefore sanctified. [00:15:29] Speaker A: Wow. [00:15:30] Speaker D: I love this so much. I was not thinking about that at all. So I'm going to roll my cold damage first. 16 cold damage, then eight cold damage to the other one. [00:15:45] Speaker B: Yes. [00:15:45] Speaker D: And then 13 spirit damage. [00:15:48] Speaker B: Okay, 13 spirit damage, which on 5D6 [00:15:52] Speaker D: is kind of disappointing, but it's all right. [00:15:55] Speaker B: All right, so the. The ifrit you're targeting is now bloodied, and the other one is also damaged from that splash of that moonbeam. Just kind of somehow a shot you could never make on purpose, but it hits one of them with full force and then also kind of bashes in onto the other one standing next to it. [00:16:13] Speaker D: I like to imagine when Val, like, did the push through her hand, like, her whole arm did the thing again where it kind of silhouetted into that other look. Actually, this is the arm she used before. It still hasn't actually gone back to normal this whole time since that last time she did it, and which has been a surprise to her. So when she used that moonlight beam, that extra, like, oomph to it is like, a very big surprise to her as she successfully legoliths through the qui Gon. [00:16:42] Speaker B: All right, then it is the ifrit on the left's turn, the one that got hit by the splash damage. It's going to begin charging down the hallway, heedless of the danger it might face. And at the end of its first stride, it enters the space Sven that you have marked out with your awakened entropy. [00:17:00] Speaker A: It does. So it will either take 8d6 void damage with a basic fortitude or 8d6 force damage. If the creature normally doesn't take void [00:17:12] Speaker B: damage, it'll be void. [00:17:14] Speaker A: All right, Basic fortitude, please. A DC of 32. [00:17:19] Speaker D: Ooh, that's a nice DC, buddy. [00:17:22] Speaker A: There you go. [00:17:23] Speaker B: A natural one. [00:17:25] Speaker A: Oh, [00:17:29] Speaker B: I should have pre rolled these dice to see which one I should roll. Well, let me see how my blue dye is rolling today. [00:17:35] Speaker D: Sorry about it. [00:17:36] Speaker B: Oh, I should have used the blue die. [00:17:39] Speaker D: When you sustain it, it's damage die goes up to 6, to 8, to 10, to 12. Oh my gosh. [00:17:47] Speaker A: Okay, so that'll be 8D6. That sound 32. [00:17:56] Speaker B: 32 damage? [00:17:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Cuz I don't get anything for critical failure. [00:18:01] Speaker D: Well, it does double damage. [00:18:03] Speaker A: Does it? Yeah, it's a basic. [00:18:05] Speaker D: Oh, basic. If it's got basic, it'll always double on crit fail. [00:18:09] Speaker A: That's right. [00:18:10] Speaker B: I'll take that. With that critical failure, then this for the second if begins charging down the hallway. And there's a space of the hall that all of you can really only see as it's just cracks in the stone and like maybe some dust beginning to accumulate unnaturally fast. The ifrit does not notice this, and as it begins charging down the hallway, it steps into this space and from its momentum carries forward, but by the time it gets to the other side of the space, it just clatters to the ground as just scorched bones and just slides down the hall towards you. [00:18:42] Speaker A: Huh? [00:18:43] Speaker C: Delilah looks with wide eyes and a little bit of fear. [00:18:46] Speaker D: Fear at uvair. [00:18:48] Speaker B: The final of these three ifrits seems to have learned from the demise of its fellow and just steps a little bit into the hall. Not completely. [00:18:56] Speaker D: Are you sure? What if he's like, I'd win. [00:19:00] Speaker B: Draws its arms up around it and then like a baseball player, hurls a motive flame that begins gathering power as it slides towards you and then explodes in just a burst of flames. Centered on the three of you, I'll need each of you to make a dexterity saving throw. [00:19:16] Speaker A: Is this only flame, actually the four of you? [00:19:20] Speaker B: Because cigarette is there and it is only flame. Yes. So I won't. I won't need you. [00:19:25] Speaker D: Did you specifically move Sigurd up just so you could do that to them? [00:19:29] Speaker B: No, I just assumed you wanted Sigurd. [00:19:31] Speaker A: I will remind Harold that I have cast resist energies on you. [00:19:36] Speaker C: All right, so I have resistance to fire. And also, isn't that a reflex save? [00:19:39] Speaker B: It is a reflex. [00:19:40] Speaker C: You said dexterity. [00:19:41] Speaker B: Oh my goodness. I was playing Baldur's Gate before we came over. [00:19:44] Speaker C: Fair enough. I mean, that's a good. [00:19:45] Speaker D: You're fired. [00:19:47] Speaker C: Wow. [00:19:50] Speaker B: I need a reflex saving throw. [00:19:53] Speaker C: Just want to make sure our terminology is consistent for all of our listeners. [00:19:57] Speaker B: I'm just here to confuse people. [00:19:59] Speaker D: Fair. [00:20:00] Speaker B: All right, Delilah. 30 with a 30. That is a success. So you will take half damage, which is 13 minus 5. Minus 5. So you take only 8 damage. So Sven for Val. [00:20:18] Speaker D: So Sven for Val. [00:20:19] Speaker B: Oh my goodness. I told you guys. I have slept two nights. I am still Catching up on myself. [00:20:26] Speaker D: Listen, five hours is still sleeping, Jordy. [00:20:30] Speaker B: I call that long nap. It's a short rest. [00:20:34] Speaker D: Short rest, long nap, long little foot. All right, I got 26. [00:20:39] Speaker B: 26 for Val and then for Sigrun. Unless you want to say that Sigrun did not. Because that was my assumption. [00:20:50] Speaker D: I mean, Sigurd would probably be in the room, so probably I wasn't gonna have her come down the hall, but should be in the room, so it's fine. Oh, yeah, she got a 34. [00:21:00] Speaker B: Okay, so Sigrun succeeds, so she only takes the 13 damage. And then, Val, you will take the full 27 with a fan. [00:21:07] Speaker D: Only take 22 of that because my dress. My dress gives me resistance. [00:21:14] Speaker B: That is true. [00:21:15] Speaker D: Oh, actually, it's resistance 10 now. [00:21:17] Speaker B: Ah. So you will take 17 then. [00:21:19] Speaker D: That's amazing. I'm glad I upgraded that before coming over here. [00:21:25] Speaker B: All right, so with a stride and a split spell cast, that is the end of that ifrit's turn. It is back up to Uwe again. [00:21:32] Speaker D: Fireball? More like nothing. Bo. [00:21:39] Speaker B: Sad ifrit noises. [00:21:42] Speaker A: No, hold the sad E. Freak noises. As Uver points to the other ifrit doesn't say anything. As that ethereal void that seems to be in there expands, adding 10ft to its radius. [00:22:00] Speaker D: Amazing. That's gonna get it. That's gonna get it. [00:22:04] Speaker B: And just like Sam was saying, that does get close enough to now affect that final remaining ifrit. Sven, go ahead and roll damage. [00:22:11] Speaker A: I will. So as it expands, it seems that whatever forces are acting in this gets stronger. I will need another fortitude save. [00:22:24] Speaker B: That is true, cuz. This is a newbie fruit. [00:22:27] Speaker D: Another nat one. [00:22:28] Speaker B: Another nat one. [00:22:30] Speaker D: Amazing. [00:22:33] Speaker B: This one was even more injured than the other one. [00:22:36] Speaker A: This is going to be good. [00:22:38] Speaker D: Now it's D8S, right? [00:22:39] Speaker A: It's eight D8S. [00:22:43] Speaker C: It's not looking good for our E. [00:22:44] Speaker B: I used the blue dye. [00:22:47] Speaker C: It went. Hey, that other dice rolled a one. That looks pretty fun. [00:22:50] Speaker B: I think I'll do that. [00:22:51] Speaker D: Your dices are as tired as you. [00:22:54] Speaker B: Oh, my dice. [00:22:55] Speaker D: They also haven't been getting much sleep lately. [00:23:01] Speaker A: 68 damage. [00:23:03] Speaker B: Oh, it was like, 68. I thought it was 88. Oh, no. You mean 68. [00:23:08] Speaker A: Yes, 68. [00:23:11] Speaker B: So as before, this zone of entropy just reaches the ifrit and just wears away at it until it just crumbles to ash on the ground in front of you. So, Uvir, that was your first action? [00:23:23] Speaker A: Mm, that was. [00:23:24] Speaker B: We are not leaving initiative at this point. [00:23:27] Speaker D: Even though all three of the ifrits are dead. [00:23:30] Speaker B: All Threats that you can see are [00:23:32] Speaker D: dead and their souls are slowly going back down the hall. [00:23:35] Speaker B: Yes. [00:23:37] Speaker A: Uvher will, with another wave, dispel. And probably just in time as the structural integrity of the hallway looks very compromised. [00:23:50] Speaker B: It's dubious now. [00:23:52] Speaker A: And with his movement speed of 40ft, fly speed specifically of 40ft, he's gonna move forward. [00:24:03] Speaker D: I was confused. I was like, you're such a fast little dwarf. And I remembered your literally made a fire. [00:24:07] Speaker A: I literally made a fire right now. Yes. That works. [00:24:10] Speaker B: So, Uvaire, you use your remaining two actions to fly down this hall, just coursing over the remains of these three ifrit and into that final chamber. You recognize this room as being retrofitted for dangerous magical experimentation. There's runes and materials all around the room that you would know are meant to harness and contain dangerous magical forces. If something were to like, breach our sense of reality, there's charms that are meant to hold it in place. Some of them have very obviously broken and have been damaged by this out of control portal to the plane of fire that's here. There are several though, that are still in place. You can tell that Orvus had done his research and he had done his work well, but this was just beyond his skill to contain. Now, standing before you, just to the left after you've entered the door, is this portal to the plane of fire. It is 25ft across and just filling half of the room as just a stable gate. You can just look through it and see just the flaming landscape of the plane of fire in front of you. [00:25:18] Speaker A: Well, that is my turn. [00:25:21] Speaker B: And that brings us to Delilah. [00:25:22] Speaker C: Okay, I. My movement speed is 35ft, so I'm going to use my hasted stride and one. And my first action to get. I think I can get into the room. [00:25:33] Speaker B: Yes. Just through the doorway with one action. Well, two actions remaining. [00:25:36] Speaker C: Yes, because one of them was a hasted action. [00:25:38] Speaker D: Did the door fully open where we were? [00:25:41] Speaker B: Open enough that you can slip through. [00:25:42] Speaker D: Okay, cool. [00:25:43] Speaker C: The Qui gon did it in and [00:25:46] Speaker D: it's a big Qui Gon sword. [00:25:47] Speaker C: So now I can see this portal now. Oh, that's not good. [00:25:55] Speaker D: Jordy's rolling dice. [00:25:56] Speaker C: What can I like make an arcana check or something to figure out if I know how to safely close something like this? [00:26:05] Speaker B: Sure. Go ahead and make that arcana check. [00:26:11] Speaker C: 43 [00:26:15] Speaker B: dang natural. [00:26:17] Speaker D: 18 he there, Delilah. That was a really good run. That one was better than the last one. [00:26:26] Speaker C: It was much better. [00:26:27] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:26:29] Speaker B: So you are. You enter the room, you see this gate, and you immediately Your mind flashes back to study that you've done. There is a strong contingency here in Tarkasmuk of Planar researching and like wizards, who are very interested in bridging that gap between different planes. You've read these books. You immediately realize what category and class of portal this is, how it was opened. And you realize two things. First, that there is this small. Well, small relative to the portal. It's about the size of an ostrich egg. [00:27:01] Speaker A: Oh. [00:27:02] Speaker B: It is a ruby. [00:27:03] Speaker C: Oh. [00:27:04] Speaker B: And it has a flame inside of it. And this is being used as the focus for the gate. You know, two things. First, if you just were to remove that port, that ruby, the portal would destabilize, but it would do so explosively, meaning it might damage the. The side of the mountain and could possibly just splinter this part of reality into the plane of fire. [00:27:29] Speaker C: Easy, less than ideal. [00:27:31] Speaker A: The side of the mountain or, you know, just this little part of reality [00:27:35] Speaker C: that's just this little corner of reality. Okay. What's the second thing I know, Jordy? [00:27:41] Speaker B: The second thing you know is that you recognize the pattern of runes that Orvus had used to contain the plan, the plane, and the portal, and you realize they have been intentionally disrupted. If you were able to get there with your materials and your chalk and stuff and restore the runes, you'd be able to contain the portal to the point where if you remove the ruby, focusing it, it would just destabilize and the portal would harmlessly collapse. [00:28:06] Speaker C: Okay. [00:28:08] Speaker B: However, there is a caveat. The portal, with its destabilization, is currently. There is not an atmospheric equalization between your current environment and that on the other side of the portal to it. If you were to get too close to the portal, you would have to resist being pulled in. [00:28:28] Speaker A: Oh, [00:28:30] Speaker D: I know. You got so excited for a second, Sven. I knew exactly what you were thinking. [00:28:34] Speaker B: Sven, what did you want to say? [00:28:37] Speaker A: Don't worry about it. [00:28:38] Speaker C: Well, I still have two actions left. Would it be an action to quickly convey all of that to uht? [00:28:46] Speaker B: That's a free action. [00:28:47] Speaker A: All right. [00:28:48] Speaker C: I quickly convey all of that to uht, and then I don't know what to do with the rest of my actions because I. I don't want to get too close to this thing. I don't think brute force is the way to go, because I like this corner of reality, and I'd rather it not. [00:29:04] Speaker A: That would kind of put a damper on. [00:29:06] Speaker C: It would. [00:29:06] Speaker D: I got this. [00:29:08] Speaker B: I will mark out there. If you step on a space that's currently marked with that green circle. [00:29:13] Speaker C: Okay. [00:29:14] Speaker B: Which is like 10ft across in either direction. Then at that point, you'll have to begin making fortitude saves or be pulled towards the portal. [00:29:22] Speaker C: Okay, could. I will use my second normal action. Just get me right up next to that. Yeah. So I'm not currently being pulled in if I'm standing there, Correct? [00:29:31] Speaker B: Correct. [00:29:32] Speaker C: Okay. I would like to be there, and then I will raise my shield in preparation of any horrible things coming out of the portal. [00:29:44] Speaker D: Val, did I hear any of this? I'm still. You're 100ft away. [00:29:51] Speaker A: More feet away. [00:29:53] Speaker C: I think if talking's a free action, as soon as you get in here, we can convey that to you. [00:29:57] Speaker B: I imagine. Val, you just hear. It's a Class M containment procedure. The focus would be. The focus will be detrimental if removed before repair. It's just like what? Like this all makes sense to Uwe. He knows exactly what needs repaired. He knows what a Class M containment procedure. [00:30:15] Speaker D: Do you guys need anything while I'm over here? Like notes or anything? There's some scattered around the floor. [00:30:24] Speaker B: So provide your characters with information they would have while you guys have your, like, kits and spell scribing equipment stuff. It would be potentially faster if Val were able to just grab some of the arcane supplies. Now. Not everything over there is needed. So, Val, you'd either have to make a guess or make an arcana check to know which materials would be necessary for this repair. [00:30:49] Speaker A: I have chalk. It glows in the dark. [00:30:51] Speaker B: You do? [00:30:52] Speaker D: So you say it's like recreate runes, right? Yes, but do we even know what the runes are? [00:30:57] Speaker B: Val would not. But both of. Well, what is your training level in Arcana? [00:31:02] Speaker D: Well, I just meant in general. Do we know like. Or would we need, like, his notes to figure out what the those even are? [00:31:09] Speaker B: Both Delilah and Uvair are well read enough in planar travel. That with the arcana check that Delilah made that. She was able to determine this is what's needing repaired and convey that information to. [00:31:21] Speaker D: Uh, I have untrained with a plus two. [00:31:23] Speaker B: Okay. So, Val, you would not know what runes are necessary or even have a right. [00:31:28] Speaker D: I'm going to try and grab some stuff. [00:31:30] Speaker B: Okay. Make. Make an arcana check. [00:31:32] Speaker D: Do I have to do it as iconic? Can I just do a 5050 luck check? I think it'll be more beneficial. [00:31:39] Speaker B: Ooh, I like that. [00:31:41] Speaker D: That's technically a higher chance of success [00:31:44] Speaker C: than you just grabbing random things. [00:31:47] Speaker D: I don't know what the DC was going to be. [00:31:49] Speaker B: So you're so. I like that. Cuz Val's like, I know. I don't know what I'm doing. I'm just grabbing stuff and going, that looks important. [00:31:57] Speaker A: That might be useful. [00:31:59] Speaker D: Do you want to determine higher or lower? [00:32:01] Speaker B: I call. Lower is good. [00:32:03] Speaker A: All right. [00:32:03] Speaker D: I'm rolling a D100 because it's the [00:32:05] Speaker B: best die in honor of Delta green. Lower is good. [00:32:08] Speaker D: 72. So Val picks up some stuff and then it's gonna like. She has 40ft movement. So she's just gonna like to action. Move right next to Uvair. All right. He's just gonna help you. Uvair. [00:32:24] Speaker B: And Val just runs up to Uvair and she's got a couple like a stick of chalk or something that might be useful in this case. Nothing you didn't already have. But most of what she has is for arcane forge work and would not really be helpful in this at all. [00:32:41] Speaker C: You tried. [00:32:43] Speaker D: Nobody said anything. I asked if they needed anything. Nobody said anything. So I just brought some stuff. I will then I guess move right up next to it as well. Well. Well, I'll step away from it just in case. And then I'll be prepared. Val's going to kind of prepare and she's like, you guys. You guys got this under control? Where are we at here? Is this like we got to run and do something else? Or is this like you guys can do it? How. How are we looking with. We can. [00:33:13] Speaker C: We can do it. [00:33:15] Speaker D: It's. [00:33:15] Speaker C: But it's going to be tricky. [00:33:18] Speaker A: Very difficult. [00:33:20] Speaker D: Right. Let me know if I can do anything to help. Otherwise, I will watch. Make sure no one else comes through the portal. And that ends my turn. [00:33:29] Speaker B: All right, at the end of that turn, Val, you see, as you're looking directly into this open portal, you see two flaming humanoid shapes step out through the portal, and one of them moves up to you and just swipes at you with a tendril of flame as [00:33:48] Speaker D: they're kind of coming up, I think. Val, you are not welcome here. Get back. [00:33:54] Speaker A: Why'd you roll, Harold? [00:33:55] Speaker B: Do you have the critical fumble card? [00:33:57] Speaker C: I do. [00:33:59] Speaker D: I'm so happy I role played enduring that. [00:34:03] Speaker C: All right, I get to read a card. This is great. [00:34:06] Speaker B: It's the classic Sam says no when I roll in that one. [00:34:08] Speaker D: It hardly ever happens on this show, though. It happens all the time off air. But this show. [00:34:13] Speaker C: Do we have a method to this or do I just draw one? [00:34:15] Speaker D: Draw one. [00:34:16] Speaker A: Draw one. [00:34:20] Speaker C: All right. [00:34:21] Speaker D: If it doesn't. If it's not applicable after you read it out, you'll sometimes draw another card. [00:34:25] Speaker C: Well, it doesn't really make sense for this creature, but it is a good effect. Okay, it's unarmed. It's ingrown nail. [00:34:39] Speaker D: Ingrown ember, if you will. [00:34:40] Speaker C: Ingrown ember. You take a minus one circumstance penalty to all attack rolls until you score a critical hit. [00:34:46] Speaker D: Oh, amazing. [00:34:50] Speaker B: So I think this creature of living flame steps out of the portal, and it hasn't fully accustomed to the material plane yet, immediately walks up to Val and swipes at her. And the fire resistance energy on her ash gown just like reverse singes the flame and it pulls back in shock. It's like, what is this place I've come to? [00:35:13] Speaker D: I have an alternative. To keep it more in theme with the card. [00:35:16] Speaker B: Sure. [00:35:16] Speaker D: He comes out, he's still forming, and he gets on his grasp one of Orvis's clipped fingernails, and it gets stuck in its body. And its body doesn't know how to handle that. And so it's like, oh, now I got an ingrown nail on my finger leg thing. [00:35:32] Speaker A: Why do you have Orvus's fingernails? [00:35:35] Speaker D: I don't. They're on the floor like he's discarded. Like he used to use this room to do stuff like that. Yes. [00:35:41] Speaker B: The dwarven fingernail room. [00:35:43] Speaker C: Everybody has one of those. [00:35:44] Speaker D: Every dwarf has a fingernail clipping room. [00:35:50] Speaker B: As the smell of burning keratin fills this room, this flame creature is going to make a second switch swipe. This time with that minus one circumstance penalty. [00:36:01] Speaker D: Go back to where you came from. Oh, I don't. [00:36:07] Speaker B: I think this is still gonna miss. A 25. [00:36:09] Speaker D: That's gonna miss. That's a critical miss. [00:36:12] Speaker B: Actually demoralized. It just sits there in shame. [00:36:16] Speaker D: Oh, free demoralize. That's right. Minus one. It's intimidated. He said it. He said it. You got to give it the stage. [00:36:23] Speaker A: That aside, I don't think this thing needs any more crippling. [00:36:28] Speaker B: The second creature of flame that stepped out of the portal actually stepped out right next to Delilah. And it begins swiping at Delilah with a tendril of flame. Sven. [00:36:43] Speaker C: Oh, come on. [00:36:46] Speaker A: It's not a named creature. [00:36:47] Speaker B: Oh, you're right. You're right. [00:36:49] Speaker D: Lucas, Sam, shut your mouth. [00:36:53] Speaker B: So with a natural 20 on an unnamed creature, it will just be a regular critical hit. [00:36:59] Speaker C: Okay, what does that total to, like, I don't know. What? [00:37:02] Speaker B: Oh, good question. It's possible this does not crit you. [00:37:05] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:37:06] Speaker B: It is a 35. [00:37:07] Speaker C: My armor class is 38 because I raised my shield at the end of the. My turn. [00:37:12] Speaker B: So this creature would not have hit you. But it gets a lucky hit just around the corner of your shield. So it's on a nat 20. It's not a crit. It's a hit. [00:37:22] Speaker C: She's built like a tank, boys. [00:37:25] Speaker D: What'd you say your AC was? [00:37:27] Speaker C: 38 with my shield raised? [00:37:29] Speaker D: 36. [00:37:30] Speaker B: After your energy resistance from uvair is taken into account, you take three fire [00:37:35] Speaker C: damage on a nat 20. [00:37:39] Speaker D: Well, it's a good thing Uvair brought two tanks along with it. The hardiest one dwarfed two tanks with him. [00:37:47] Speaker B: As this ends at action, standing in that space, it's making a fortitude save to see if it resists being pulled back into the portal because it did not think about getting further away. Yeah, it goes back. It got a three on the die. [00:38:02] Speaker C: It was so embarrassed about what happened. It's like, I'm going home. I'm just going back home, guys. [00:38:07] Speaker D: It was so embarrassed that one of those wayward souls just, like, pushed it back through. This. I mean, it's like it just, like, took a step back. It's just on the other side and looking at us still. [00:38:20] Speaker B: Yeah, it's still there. It's just like, oh, man. [00:38:24] Speaker C: I could have shield blocked the rest of that damage, but, oh, well, it's not worth it. [00:38:29] Speaker D: Famous last words. That 3 health will make all the difference. [00:38:33] Speaker C: I still have 166. [00:38:34] Speaker B: I think I'm okay with that. It is now uvare's turn again. [00:38:39] Speaker D: Go u go. Yeah. [00:38:41] Speaker C: How's your fortitude? We got to get close to that thing. [00:38:43] Speaker A: My fortitude is actually go draw on. All of my saves are the same. They're all plus 22 with what Val brought and what UIR has, which is basically his special chalk that glows in the dark. Does he know if he can draw those runes with those objects? [00:39:02] Speaker B: Yes. So what Val potentially could have brought would have provided an item bonus to the check for having the proper materials. But even with what you have on your person, you should be able to repair the runes on the floor. [00:39:14] Speaker A: Okay. [00:39:14] Speaker B: It will take three successes to completely stabilize the portal. [00:39:18] Speaker A: Okay. Uvaire is going to go to the first spot where he needs to repair the rune. [00:39:26] Speaker B: All right, so that's going to be, like, right in the center in front of the portal where the two flaming creatures had come out. I'll go ahead and mark them on the map here real quick, where you see the three damaged portions to be that way, you guys can see where you need to go. [00:39:39] Speaker A: What check would it be to repair, though? [00:39:42] Speaker B: You can either use arcana or crafting. [00:39:45] Speaker A: Oh, I Know what? I'm going to use crafting. [00:39:48] Speaker D: I can use crafting. I can do this too, if you [00:39:52] Speaker B: know what runes to do. [00:39:53] Speaker D: Nah, I got this. [00:39:54] Speaker C: Which is clear that you don't. [00:39:55] Speaker D: It's just fill in the blank, right? Because it's like, it's just a smudged section. [00:39:58] Speaker B: So I will not prohibit you from attempting this. [00:40:02] Speaker C: Don't do it. [00:40:03] Speaker D: Well, then you two better do it before my turn. [00:40:06] Speaker A: All right, so with my plus 26 to Arcana, that'll be a 38. [00:40:15] Speaker B: That's a success. Over. You are able to repair the rune at that portion. So there's only two spots. One on the north side of the circle and one on the southwestern side of the circle. [00:40:25] Speaker A: I'm going to have to move to the south portion, and that will be my turn. [00:40:32] Speaker B: All right. [00:40:33] Speaker A: I'm guessing I have to make a fortitude save. [00:40:35] Speaker B: You do, since you're ending your turn in that space. [00:40:38] Speaker C: I hope everyone's ready for u's fire Plane adventures. [00:40:42] Speaker D: Put the party even further. [00:40:44] Speaker A: Yay. Splitting the party all the way down is this. This would be a magical effect, wouldn't it? [00:40:52] Speaker B: Yes, yes, yes. [00:40:53] Speaker A: Okay, in that case, I'm going to use call on the ancient blooded to give me a plus one circumstance bonus to this check. With a 33. [00:41:06] Speaker B: That is a success. U, you are able to keep your fiery feet planted firmly on the floor. [00:41:12] Speaker A: Yay. [00:41:13] Speaker B: With this awesome alliteration, you maintain your position. [00:41:20] Speaker D: Delilah. [00:41:21] Speaker B: Delilah, you're up next. Cool. [00:41:23] Speaker C: Okay, first thing, I'm gonna use my first action to move me next to Uvaire, but over, like, over the top of him. So if I need to, like, go [00:41:31] Speaker D: around him up on his shoulders? [00:41:33] Speaker C: Well, no, just to the north of him on our battle map there. [00:41:37] Speaker B: I see. [00:41:38] Speaker C: That's my hasted movement. Then. For my first action, I would like to aid him in that and fixing that specific rune that's there. Can I use an action to aid? [00:41:52] Speaker B: So technically, the way that works is use an action to prepare to aid, and then when they do it, then you, as a reaction, boost their choice. [00:42:00] Speaker C: Okay, then never mind. I don't want to do that. I was gonna be like, tell him where what to do there, and then move on to the next one is [00:42:05] Speaker D: what I was gonna go to the other one first and end next to there. You could. I'll do that then. [00:42:10] Speaker C: So rearrange it a little bit. Move me there. [00:42:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:42:13] Speaker C: Then I'm going to make an arcana check to attempt to fix this rune. [00:42:17] Speaker B: Okay. [00:42:18] Speaker C: Big money. I think that's probably big Enough money. [00:42:22] Speaker D: Big. Big enough money. [00:42:24] Speaker C: 41. [00:42:27] Speaker A: I think that's enough. [00:42:29] Speaker B: Delilah. You walk up, and you're just like child's play. You just trace right through it. Barely even pause to fix the room. [00:42:35] Speaker C: Drink. Okay, now move me back down to Uvair, and I'm gonna be like. Just fill in right there. [00:42:43] Speaker B: Just. [00:42:45] Speaker D: Just. [00:42:45] Speaker A: Just. Just do it. [00:42:47] Speaker C: What was Orvus doing? If he just asked me, I could have helped him. Yes. And then I'm going to prepare to aid Uvaire on his next turn. [00:42:58] Speaker B: All right. And, Val, it is up to you. [00:43:01] Speaker D: It's up to me. I will go and roll an arcana check to fix the. The root. No, I'm gonna. I'm gonna finish off this fire elemental next to me. [00:43:10] Speaker B: Okay. [00:43:10] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:43:11] Speaker A: Wait. Fortitude. [00:43:13] Speaker C: Oh. [00:43:14] Speaker A: Oh. [00:43:14] Speaker B: You are in the space. Thank you, Sven. [00:43:16] Speaker C: Thank you, Sven. I mean, I'm thanking you, but maybe I shouldn't, considering what. Let's figure out what I roll first. [00:43:22] Speaker D: I'll take the blame. It's okay. [00:43:25] Speaker C: I'm. These dice are being very good to me. [00:43:29] Speaker D: Oh, no. They want you to stay on too. [00:43:32] Speaker B: What a great way to get rid of Delilah. [00:43:34] Speaker C: It would have been, but my dice are gonna tell you. No, I'm telling you right now. [00:43:37] Speaker D: My third action. I push Delilah through the portal. [00:43:40] Speaker A: Would Delilah even live in the plane of fire? [00:43:44] Speaker B: Well, we'll get back to that. [00:43:46] Speaker C: Oh, that's a 39. [00:43:49] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. That's a success. [00:43:50] Speaker C: Yeah, I figured. [00:43:51] Speaker B: Keep your feet firmly planted on the floor. Although they are not fiery feet. [00:43:55] Speaker C: No, they're not. [00:43:57] Speaker D: All right. My strike against the silent tool is a 41. [00:44:00] Speaker B: That is a critical hit. [00:44:02] Speaker D: I like it. 54 slashing damage and 6 cold. Oh, sorry. 30. What'd I say? 64. 65 slashing damage and 4 cold damage. [00:44:21] Speaker B: With a twirl of your glaive that to onlookers, looks almost casual, and you just slash right through this fire elemental, and it just disappears. [00:44:29] Speaker D: Wait, I have a different idea, if I may. [00:44:32] Speaker B: Okay, yeah. [00:44:32] Speaker D: I take my glaive, and I swirl it enough that I catch up its flaming essence in the glaive, and then I just kind of, like, shunt it back into the portal. [00:44:43] Speaker A: Nice. [00:44:44] Speaker D: If that works, I think that sounds cool. [00:44:45] Speaker B: For sure. [00:44:46] Speaker D: And then I look down at the missing little remnants of a burned fingernail. And then I looked back to the others and was like, you guys got that? [00:44:58] Speaker B: As you're looking in their direction, you can see through the portal. Another, like, even larger flaming figure is moving towards the portal. [00:45:07] Speaker D: Can I. Can I attack through the portal? [00:45:10] Speaker B: You can, but doing so will immediately trigger another fortitude save, because you're going to be getting that close to the portal. Portal. [00:45:17] Speaker D: If I shoot a spell through it. [00:45:18] Speaker B: You could definitely shoot a spell through [00:45:19] Speaker D: it, [00:45:22] Speaker A: because you only used one. Action. [00:45:24] Speaker D: It's true. I am pretty cool. Okay, I. This is just for the. For the loves for me. All right. Can it make me. Yeah. Give me a will Save. [00:45:39] Speaker B: Will save. [00:45:40] Speaker D: Whatever that is. Make a will save [00:45:45] Speaker B: a 31. [00:45:47] Speaker D: My DC was 31, so nothing happens. I shot a burst of color. I was doing a creative splash, my Focus Spell, DC31. [00:46:01] Speaker B: So this burst of color, we, like, see it from the side, and in the middle of the screen where the portal cuts us off, it's just plain of fire on this side, material plane on the other. And Val gestures, and the spurt of color goes through and then just turns into smoke on the other side of the portal. [00:46:17] Speaker D: Please don't come through this portal. All right, I think I got it. [00:46:24] Speaker A: You convinced it. [00:46:26] Speaker B: And as you say that it does indeed come through the portal. [00:46:32] Speaker D: Delilah's gone. [00:46:35] Speaker C: That's really how. [00:46:39] Speaker B: This one is, like, three times the size of the others, and it's, like, vaguely humanoid, but is mostly just flame on the ground, bro. [00:46:47] Speaker D: I won. V1 an ice giant. Let's do this. [00:46:51] Speaker B: So with its first two actions, it leaps through the portal as almost like this blob of flame. And when it slams down on the ground, just bursts of flame gout through the room. U. Of course, you are immune to flame, Delilah. Since you are immediately on the other side of the portal, you'll gain a plus four bonus to your save. [00:47:10] Speaker D: Oh. [00:47:11] Speaker B: Because you're kind of sheltered from the fire. [00:47:13] Speaker C: Great. [00:47:13] Speaker B: So I'm going to need Delilah and Val to each make a reflex save. [00:47:17] Speaker D: Can it be fortitude instead? [00:47:19] Speaker B: No, bro. [00:47:23] Speaker C: That's a nat 20. [00:47:25] Speaker A: Whoa. [00:47:27] Speaker B: So you just hunker down just the right way, and the flame spurts go right past you, and none of the backdraft from the stone gets you. [00:47:35] Speaker C: Which I just want to point out, since you gave me a plus four circumstance bonus to that. That's a 46. [00:47:45] Speaker A: Wow. [00:47:46] Speaker D: Well, I got a 23. [00:47:49] Speaker B: A 23 will be a regular fail. [00:47:51] Speaker D: I literally got half of Let her all Roll. [00:47:55] Speaker B: Val, your saves are not favoring you tonight. [00:47:57] Speaker D: No, it's okay. [00:47:58] Speaker B: So you take 41 fire damage. [00:48:01] Speaker D: 41. [00:48:01] Speaker B: 41. [00:48:02] Speaker D: 31. [00:48:03] Speaker B: Yes. With your 10 resistance, you take only 31 fire damage. [00:48:06] Speaker D: I'm bloodied because I didn't heal after our last fight. [00:48:10] Speaker B: This creature, having seen the folly of its predecessor now will attempt to shove Val backwards as it's moving out of the portal. So, Val, what is your fortitude? [00:48:21] Speaker D: DC 34. [00:48:26] Speaker B: Yeah. No, it fails to shove you. I'm looking up what happens on a critical fail. [00:48:31] Speaker D: Doesn't it, like, become pro? [00:48:33] Speaker A: No, fire doesn't fire. Something fiery doesn't have a lot of mass. [00:48:41] Speaker C: Okay. [00:48:41] Speaker B: It falls pro. [00:48:44] Speaker D: I was right. Oh, my goodness. Can it fall prone? [00:48:49] Speaker B: It is not immune to being prone. [00:48:51] Speaker A: Wow. [00:48:52] Speaker B: So I guess. I guess it's just, like, lost its shape. That it holds, and it's kind of just disoriented in its mass. So I'm gonna give it a penalty to its fortitude. Save to resist being dragged since it's prone. [00:49:03] Speaker D: Yay. [00:49:05] Speaker B: And it gets pulled back into the bottle. [00:49:09] Speaker D: I was gonna do that again. Next turn, though. [00:49:12] Speaker B: I got a six on the die for that guy. [00:49:15] Speaker C: Jordy, your dice not rolling hot tonight. [00:49:18] Speaker B: I need to. [00:49:20] Speaker C: You can borrow mine. [00:49:21] Speaker A: No, no, no. [00:49:22] Speaker D: Don't let him touch them. [00:49:23] Speaker B: All right, Uwe, it is your turn. [00:49:26] Speaker A: I'm gonna fix the last room, and I aid. [00:49:30] Speaker B: All right, so let's get the aid check first. [00:49:31] Speaker D: And I burn. [00:49:33] Speaker C: So, as a human, I have cooperative nature and cooperative soul. [00:49:40] Speaker D: I love those feeds. [00:49:42] Speaker C: So I get a plus four circumstance bonus to this. A check thanks to cooperative nature. And I'm assuming this is arcana, right? [00:49:48] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:49] Speaker C: So we roll that with a plus four. It's not my best I've rolled, but it's not bad. It's still 42. [00:49:57] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. That's not the best I've rolled. 42. Yeah. [00:50:02] Speaker B: So that'll be a critical success on the aid check. [00:50:05] Speaker D: Amazing. [00:50:05] Speaker B: So that will give a plus 2 bonus to U. [00:50:09] Speaker D: Don't you love rolling that high? That's like. Yeah. He gets a plus two thanks to you, right? [00:50:14] Speaker B: That's funny. Wait, what is your skill level? [00:50:16] Speaker C: Master. [00:50:17] Speaker B: So it's a plus three bonus. [00:50:19] Speaker A: Excellent. So with that plus three, that'll be a 42. [00:50:25] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. [00:50:28] Speaker D: The answer to everything. [00:50:29] Speaker B: So, uvair, with your first action, you lean down with Delilah's assistance, and you repair the last rune. And now you see the sort of jittery motions of the hole into the fire plane stabilize into just gentle motions and curves. And you now know, Delilah and Uber, that if the ruby center that's focusing the portal is removed, the portal will harmlessly collapse. [00:50:53] Speaker A: I'm going to grab the ruby. [00:50:55] Speaker D: Ruby. [00:50:56] Speaker B: Uwe, you reach out, your fiery form, wraps your hand around the ruby, and as you do so, we're gonna End this episode. The suspense. [00:51:06] Speaker D: What? [00:51:09] Speaker C: Val has no idea what's going on. [00:51:12] Speaker A: This magicky stuff, man. [00:51:14] Speaker B: Val's just watching that fire element. He'll just be dragged back into the portal. [00:51:19] Speaker A: It jumped out so, so, so confidently. [00:51:23] Speaker D: That's right. You better run. City a thousand miles away. But girl, tonight you look so pretty. It's true. Oh, [00:51:36] Speaker B: and the hero point for today's episode goes to Harold. [00:51:40] Speaker C: Oh, yay. I get a real hero point. [00:51:43] Speaker D: Exactly. [00:51:43] Speaker C: It's not a pity one or anything. I see. This feels much better. [00:51:47] Speaker B: It's never been pity. [00:51:49] Speaker A: Never been pityed points. [00:51:50] Speaker D: Never pity you now. [00:51:52] Speaker B: This point, though, was definitely earned. We really appreciated your playing your character according to the way she would behave, the action she would take. I. This was. Well, I had to double check and was like, bonus two. No, it's actually three. I've never seen anybody aid at this stage of gameplay. So I was like, oh, yeah, it does scale up as your skill improves. [00:52:13] Speaker C: It just seemed like the thing that she would do. So. [00:52:16] Speaker A: All right. [00:52:16] Speaker C: To help over rather than take it all onto herself. So thank you for the zero point. I am honored. [00:52:22] Speaker A: Teamwork makes the dream work. [00:52:25] Speaker D: You don't even dream. [00:52:26] Speaker A: I don't. [00:52:31] Speaker C: So I'm. I'm gonna go contemplate existence now, I guess. [00:52:35] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, That's a deep. [00:52:36] Speaker C: Very briefly, you know, don't want to go crazy. Don't think too hard about it. [00:52:40] Speaker D: You're ready for the next episode, we say. And Delilah had left at the end of the last. [00:52:44] Speaker A: So Delilah gets sucked into the fireplace. [00:52:46] Speaker C: I mean, if Jordy wants to do that, mean he could. Oh, no. I'm being dragged away, guys. [00:52:53] Speaker B: And if you want to find out what happens to Delilah, you'll have to tune in. Probably actually not for the next episode because I think we're releasing these every other. But the episode after the next episode. [00:53:04] Speaker A: Are we doing a meanwhile? [00:53:06] Speaker B: I think that. I think so. I mean, the audience is laughing at me right now because they're like, we know what's happening. Jordy doesn't. [00:53:13] Speaker A: Yeah, we don't. [00:53:14] Speaker D: Do they, though? They don't know what's coming next. [00:53:16] Speaker B: They don't. Maybe we'll throw them off and do the opposite of what we've been doing. You don't know. You'll have to tune in next time to find out. And we will see you all there. Bye. This has been an Atomic Broadcasting production.
