[00:00:00] Speaker A: This episode has a content warning for child loss.
[00:00:09] Speaker B: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax and enjoy the feature presentation.
[00:00:17] Speaker C: And remember, do your part.
[00:00:19] Speaker B: Such as, like comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time.
[00:00:35] Speaker D: No.
[00:00:35] Speaker A: Where did we leave off?
[00:00:38] Speaker B: Ah, yes.
[00:00:41] Speaker A: The party defeated the witch Liko, then turned their attention to the body, which Alward identified as his father's.
Making up their minds, they destroyed the entity possessing Kadriel's corpse before it could escape.
[00:01:03] Speaker E: I can hear you crunching on mike.
[00:01:08] Speaker B: Are we recording?
[00:01:09] Speaker E: Yes, we've been.
[00:01:10] Speaker D: This is our food podcast day.
[00:01:11] Speaker E: This is the third time we have
[00:01:13] Speaker D: said, michael's got cookies, you've got your chips, Cinnamon, and I've got.
[00:01:18] Speaker E: I can just. Just the bag wrestling and then the crunchy noises.
[00:01:23] Speaker D: Taco Bell.
[00:01:24] Speaker F: Nacho cheese.
[00:01:24] Speaker A: Welcome, everyone, to our very organized podc.
[00:01:30] Speaker E: It's just got mouth noises again.
[00:01:31] Speaker D: It's our first time. Get your snacks together.
[00:01:34] Speaker F: This is the first time we've eaten in 25 episodes.
[00:01:36] Speaker C: Get my snacks together.
[00:01:38] Speaker E: Oh, my gosh.
[00:01:39] Speaker D: I already got you a drink.
[00:01:40] Speaker F: One of these days, he's gonna leave and he's not gonna come back.
[00:01:43] Speaker E: He's thirsty.
[00:01:44] Speaker D: I know you wanted caffeine. You already went through a whole.
[00:01:47] Speaker C: So tired.
[00:01:50] Speaker A: Well, then, let's get this show on the road.
[00:01:53] Speaker F: No.
[00:01:55] Speaker A: At the end of the last episode, you all defeated the witch, her minions, and a creepy talking corpse, dismembering the corpse, and most importantly, acquired the relic that was the cause of this journey. The Weirdcutter. Accordingly, you have now all leveled up to level 13.
[00:02:15] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:02:16] Speaker E: Yay. No one told me that.
[00:02:18] Speaker D: That's very unlucky of us. 13's a bad number, Jordan.
[00:02:22] Speaker C: Yeah, can we just skip to 14?
[00:02:23] Speaker A: I was going to give you guys
[00:02:25] Speaker E: like we normally do, I1, because I don't have any.
[00:02:28] Speaker B: Me too.
[00:02:29] Speaker F: Oh, gosh. What happens if we.
[00:02:30] Speaker D: I'm full up.
[00:02:32] Speaker A: So.
[00:02:32] Speaker F: Wasn't this January? We can swap.
[00:02:34] Speaker A: Yes, exactly. If you are full up, you can swap for a new card as we are passing these around.
[00:02:41] Speaker F: Oh, cool. I'm not full.
[00:02:42] Speaker A: We can also.
[00:02:43] Speaker D: I don't want any of these.
I like what I have more.
[00:02:48] Speaker F: You don't have to.
[00:02:48] Speaker D: Does anyone want a free hero point from me? I'll pass it on.
[00:02:51] Speaker F: I wish we could.
[00:02:52] Speaker E: I wish if that was a thing, we could. If we made that a house rule.
[00:02:55] Speaker D: Hey, Shorty.
[00:02:56] Speaker A: No, don't call me Shorty.
[00:02:59] Speaker D: What? I didn't call you Shorty. Jerk.
Jord.
[00:03:03] Speaker A: That is short. That is short. Of my name? Yeah, if you can call me Jort for short.
[00:03:08] Speaker E: I don't like that. Can we not.
[00:03:10] Speaker C: Can I call you D?
[00:03:11] Speaker B: No.
[00:03:12] Speaker D: Come on.
[00:03:12] Speaker F: Shoddy.
[00:03:13] Speaker C: No, that's.
That's shoddy, not shorty.
[00:03:16] Speaker F: In some.
The first word I saw on the screen was. So anyway, in some rituals.
[00:03:22] Speaker A: Let's go around. Everybody tell me one cool thing that you got from your level up.
Who wants to go first?
[00:03:29] Speaker C: I can go first because it's the easiest.
[00:03:31] Speaker A: Jenkins, what do you got?
[00:03:32] Speaker C: I can now hurl carriages with my mind.
[00:03:36] Speaker D: Sorry, why do you always pause at hurl?
[00:03:39] Speaker F: I can now hurl.
[00:03:40] Speaker D: And you clearly don't do it on purpose.
[00:03:42] Speaker C: I have to. I don't know. Why.
[00:03:44] Speaker D: Is it dramatic effect? Carriages.
[00:03:47] Speaker C: My brain, for some reason, can't think of the word carriages, and it keeps wanting to say something.
[00:03:52] Speaker D: I'm sorry, can you oldly throw carriages?
[00:03:55] Speaker C: Oh, no, it's anything that's big.
[00:03:56] Speaker A: Okay, he's got the spell hurl carriage.
[00:03:58] Speaker C: So why did you choose carriage? Because it specifically says carriage. As an example in the spell, like
[00:04:03] Speaker E: the size of thing that he can hurl with his mind.
[00:04:06] Speaker C: Like your mom.
Petite.
[00:04:10] Speaker D: What?
[00:04:10] Speaker B: Who said that? You did.
[00:04:12] Speaker D: No Petit shows violence today.
[00:04:15] Speaker C: I'm a human cabinet.
[00:04:16] Speaker E: Petite woke up and said, you know what?
[00:04:18] Speaker B: You know what?
[00:04:20] Speaker F: I said? Go back to sleep.
[00:04:22] Speaker A: That's cool. That's cool. Who's next?
[00:04:24] Speaker D: You took biting.
[00:04:25] Speaker F: I could go next because apparently I like interrupting and talking.
[00:04:29] Speaker C: You do.
[00:04:30] Speaker D: You're good.
[00:04:31] Speaker F: So I got an ancestry feat called Skirt the Light, and it took me forever to figure out what it was actually for.
I can use a spell called.
I think it was called Umbral Walk.
[00:04:45] Speaker C: Is that the one that lets you walk in the shadow plane? Yes. I love that one.
[00:04:49] Speaker F: And bring others along. It doesn't specify anything, so I'll have
[00:04:53] Speaker E: to look up that spot story, bro.
[00:04:54] Speaker C: But fun fact, we actually talked about that spell, like, four episodes ago.
[00:04:58] Speaker F: I can go so far, and I can do it once a day.
[00:05:02] Speaker E: I took the exact same ancestry feed as you.
[00:05:04] Speaker F: Well, you know what? Now we can go there and come back.
[00:05:09] Speaker C: The spell brings you back. I do want to mention that. No, it doesn't.
[00:05:13] Speaker A: No, this is. Okay, so you know when you're playing Minecraft, you pop into the Nether.
[00:05:17] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:05:17] Speaker A: And that's what this does.
[00:05:18] Speaker D: No, I know, but there's another portal to take you back.
[00:05:21] Speaker A: It doesn't. When it ends, you just pop back out into the material plane. So if you have moved, you pop out far away.
[00:05:27] Speaker C: No, I know. The spell brings you back into the correct plane.
[00:05:30] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:05:31] Speaker C: That's what I was saying.
[00:05:31] Speaker F: It just doesn't take you. Yeah. So you would have to have it again to come back to where you were, not necessarily knowing exactly where you
[00:05:37] Speaker B: are because it's a vague.
[00:05:39] Speaker F: You can't actually see specifics.
[00:05:42] Speaker D: That actually makes having it twice extremely useful. Yeah.
[00:05:47] Speaker F: Although we do have a cloud in the sky. I was gonna take, like, magnificent mansion or whatever it's called, but I was like, we have a. We have a castle.
[00:05:53] Speaker D: Planar palace.
[00:05:54] Speaker E: We literally have a castle.
[00:05:56] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:05:57] Speaker E: What did. What did you get?
[00:05:58] Speaker D: Oh, I thought you were gonna.
[00:06:00] Speaker E: No, I like going around in a circle.
[00:06:02] Speaker F: Okay, well, then let's talk to Jordy. What did Jordy get?
[00:06:05] Speaker A: What did I get?
[00:06:07] Speaker E: My undying.
[00:06:08] Speaker D: I got older.
[00:06:09] Speaker C: Oh, so did I. I got a rock.
[00:06:14] Speaker D: I got this awesome new feat. It's an ancestry feat for the battle blooded blood type that I have that came out during this show called arise you worthy.
[00:06:23] Speaker E: What?
[00:06:23] Speaker D: Arise ye worthy.
[00:06:24] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:06:25] Speaker D: And it's basically from my ancestry. I can now cast breath of life just once per day.
[00:06:33] Speaker E: Wow.
[00:06:34] Speaker D: So if someone would die within 60ft of me, I can just give them five D8 hit points.
[00:06:39] Speaker E: Wow, five D8. That's pretty good.
[00:06:42] Speaker D: Yeah. I can't use it, though. If they die to, like, a death effect, like disintegrate, so they turn to ashes. I can't help.
[00:06:50] Speaker E: I feel like that's fair.
I feel like that's fair.
[00:06:52] Speaker D: I'm not helpful against Thanos. You know, he's just gonna snap. I can't do nothing.
[00:06:57] Speaker E: Well, thankfully, we're not fighting Thanos.
[00:06:59] Speaker D: Not yet.
[00:07:00] Speaker F: That we know of.
[00:07:00] Speaker D: I saw Geordi's eyebrows. Just rats.
[00:07:03] Speaker E: Are we fighting Thanos?
[00:07:05] Speaker D: What a terrible end of the show that would be if Jordan was like. And now Thanos is here.
I'm ready. I'm ready to take damage for all of you. Like I didn't get to do last time because I was outside.
[00:07:21] Speaker E: We were okay.
[00:07:23] Speaker D: It was a cool fight. Very happy to watch it.
[00:07:25] Speaker E: I just love that a bunch of casters killed her.
[00:07:28] Speaker D: Yeah. It was so fun to have a bunch of casters stuck in close to quarters that.
[00:07:32] Speaker E: Honestly, it gave me so much joy that the casters were like, yeah, we got this.
[00:07:37] Speaker C: I thought we did eventually. Very good job.
[00:07:38] Speaker D: I thought we did. It was fun.
[00:07:40] Speaker F: I'm fairly certain I didn't do anything. I think I just ran in front of her and became a bird.
[00:07:44] Speaker E: No, I think you.
[00:07:45] Speaker C: You.
[00:07:45] Speaker B: You gave.
[00:07:46] Speaker E: I think you spellshot her at least once.
[00:07:49] Speaker C: Yeah, that too.
[00:07:50] Speaker F: I don't even remember I got hit.
[00:07:53] Speaker D: A bunch of listeners you did send send Michael. Just a lot of good encouragement about how helpful he was in that fight.
[00:08:00] Speaker C: I would appreciate it.
[00:08:01] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:08:02] Speaker D: Don't tell me what I actually did.
[00:08:04] Speaker E: The other Michael.
[00:08:06] Speaker D: The Michael. Er Y Michael.
[00:08:09] Speaker C: How dare you.
[00:08:11] Speaker B: Okay, please continue.
[00:08:13] Speaker E: I don't know what I want to talk about.
[00:08:15] Speaker B: What's your big damage spell?
[00:08:18] Speaker E: Telekinetic bombardment.
[00:08:20] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:08:20] Speaker C: That's what I got.
[00:08:21] Speaker E: Really?
[00:08:22] Speaker C: Yeah. That's the thing that lets me hurl carriages.
[00:08:25] Speaker E: It does say such as a tree carriage or piece of masonry.
[00:08:28] Speaker D: No carriage. You just say carriage when they gave
[00:08:31] Speaker B: trees and masonry well.
[00:08:34] Speaker D: Cause Fen, we know trees are very unaffected by things like blizz.
[00:08:38] Speaker C: We know they're rooted to the ground. So what.
[00:08:41] Speaker E: What I really like.
What I really like is that it can deal 14d6 of blood damage.
[00:08:47] Speaker C: It's good. It's very good.
[00:08:48] Speaker D: I have these sixes.
[00:08:50] Speaker E: The other spell I got is pretty fun too.
Inexhaustible cynicism.
[00:08:55] Speaker D: So what does it do? I heard you mention it. I have no idea. I've never heard of it.
[00:08:59] Speaker E: This is just a wall of text.
[00:09:01] Speaker D: You don't want to read a wall of text.
[00:09:02] Speaker C: Generalize what it does.
[00:09:04] Speaker F: Can you summarize? No.
[00:09:06] Speaker C: Is it the one that you talked about earlier?
[00:09:07] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:09:08] Speaker C: All right. It makes people paranoid about everything and does decent damage.
[00:09:12] Speaker D: Does that the one that makes them confused all the time? No, that's something.
[00:09:14] Speaker E: No, it's. It's this one.
[00:09:16] Speaker C: It makes them like not trust reality, literally anything.
[00:09:20] Speaker E: They don't trust themselves. They don't trust others fail.
[00:09:23] Speaker D: They're confused. Permanently.
[00:09:25] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:09:25] Speaker D: That's so good.
[00:09:26] Speaker E: No, no, no, no.
[00:09:27] Speaker D: That's. That's another thing. That's what mine.
[00:09:29] Speaker E: No, this one is if they crit fail, their they are just affected for an hour.
No, no. The one you're thinking of is my granted spell, which is warp mine. So that if they crit fail, they are confused permanently. But it does have the incapacitation trait, so I have to use it wisely.
[00:09:45] Speaker D: If we run into another arson, they're low level.
[00:09:48] Speaker E: Now that is true. I can warp their mind.
[00:09:50] Speaker D: Like. What's that guy? Hody?
[00:09:52] Speaker F: I liked Hody.
[00:09:54] Speaker E: Anyway, I'm done talking sped.
What did you get, buddy?
That tells me nothing.
[00:10:00] Speaker B: So I got as part of one of my feats, the ability to cast the spell heroism.
[00:10:07] Speaker C: Oh, that's a good spell.
[00:10:08] Speaker E: What's it do?
[00:10:10] Speaker B: I unlock a target's inner heroism, granting a plus one status bonus to attack rolls, perception checks, saving throws and skill checks.
[00:10:18] Speaker E: Nice.
[00:10:19] Speaker B: That lasts for 10 minutes.
[00:10:20] Speaker E: Nice.
[00:10:21] Speaker D: It's a solid buff.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:23] Speaker B: I can give it to Val.
[00:10:24] Speaker D: Probably.
[00:10:27] Speaker E: It's like you. You are a hero.
[00:10:29] Speaker D: Zephyr would be a good choice.
[00:10:30] Speaker B: Or believe in yourself. Two of our melee.
[00:10:33] Speaker D: Or Geordi.
[00:10:34] Speaker B: No, not his characters.
[00:10:37] Speaker D: Just Geordi. Inspire his heroism.
[00:10:39] Speaker E: Just Geordi.
[00:10:40] Speaker B: The other one is I can turn into living fire.
[00:10:43] Speaker D: Oh.
[00:10:43] Speaker E: Just casually.
[00:10:45] Speaker D: So you can dive and breach out of the water plane and then turn into living fire.
[00:10:49] Speaker C: That's how you dry off.
[00:10:51] Speaker B: No, I become living flame, immune to damage. I can cast ignition at will and it does extra damage.
[00:10:59] Speaker E: So you're.
[00:10:59] Speaker B: And I'm immune to pierce or precision damage.
[00:11:02] Speaker E: You're touched by ember.
[00:11:04] Speaker B: I don't know about that.
[00:11:05] Speaker C: Who's Amber?
[00:11:06] Speaker E: Ember.
[00:11:07] Speaker B: Ember.
[00:11:08] Speaker E: E M B E R. Ember.
[00:11:11] Speaker B: But the spell is called Throw my pen. Fiery body.
[00:11:15] Speaker E: Fiery body.
[00:11:16] Speaker D: Yeah.
He's hot.
[00:11:18] Speaker B: So on top. On top of becoming a living flame and getting fire immunity and resistance. Tend to precision damage, not immunity. My bad.
I do get weakness five to cold and water.
[00:11:29] Speaker D: Go figure.
[00:11:30] Speaker B: But any creature that touches me or damages me with an unarmed attack or nonreach melee weapon takes 3d6 fire damage.
[00:11:38] Speaker A: So they just.
[00:11:39] Speaker B: They just take damage if they hit me.
And any of my fire spells deal an additional die of fire damage of the same damage die the spell uses.
[00:11:49] Speaker D: That's really. Wow.
[00:11:50] Speaker B: And I have a fly speed of 40ft and I don't need to breathe.
[00:11:53] Speaker E: Wow.
[00:11:53] Speaker D: I could. I'm perfectly suited to kill you while you're in that farm.
I have a reach cold weapon and I can fly.
[00:12:00] Speaker E: Don't kill Uber.
[00:12:02] Speaker D: I won't. I just thought.
[00:12:03] Speaker E: What did I just say about friendly fire?
[00:12:06] Speaker D: No, he's literally friendly and on fire.
[00:12:08] Speaker E: No friendly fire.
[00:12:11] Speaker D: Sorry, you can't cast that spell, Sven. There's no friendly fire here.
[00:12:15] Speaker B: No, the thing is, I need. I really need to get a. Casting a fireball to use for this.
[00:12:22] Speaker D: Oh, dang. Yeah.
[00:12:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:12:25] Speaker A: We'll pick this up where we left off.
Having just dispelled this entity, this spirit that was in Kadriel's body, part of the group goes off to help Albert with digging this grave. And Val, you said you were heading inside to check on Zafir.
[00:12:45] Speaker D: Yeah. People just told me he turned into a bird. And that's all I've heard and I haven't seen him. So I figure I can maybe go try and help that situation. Maybe.
[00:12:57] Speaker A: Petite. Would you describe for Sam what Val sees when she enters? Bearing in mind the rating of the show
[00:13:08] Speaker D: I've assumed what? I assume what he's doing.
[00:13:12] Speaker C: There's some facts about crows. I don't know.
[00:13:15] Speaker F: Maybe it's not even a crow.
[00:13:18] Speaker D: He's a raven.
[00:13:19] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:13:20] Speaker C: Facts about ravens, they're different.
[00:13:22] Speaker F: So as you walk back into this hut, or house, whatever it is, doesn't even matter anymore because it no longer has an owner.
You see what used to be the owner, and a raven pecking and poking and prodding and tearing.
And you see its head look up, you see red eyes.
And it morphs back into the figure of Zephyr, now covered in some of the witch.
And he just sits there, staring.
[00:14:04] Speaker D: Zephyr, are you all right?
[00:14:08] Speaker B: Hmm.
[00:14:10] Speaker F: I guess so. I'm not a raven anymore.
That was odd.
I was looking for a key or something. To find the kids, I think.
[00:14:28] Speaker D: Sure. Your eyes are red again.
[00:14:32] Speaker F: I think I'll.
We need to find them there somewhere. They can't.
They can't just be separated like that.
[00:14:43] Speaker D: We still have a lot to figure out about what's going on here.
We'll figure it out. Howard's familiar with a lot of this stuff.
He's smart.
[00:14:55] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:14:58] Speaker F: He's gonna stand up and just waver a little bit.
Not entirely sure.
Looking down, seeing that he's actually got fetchling legs instead of raven legs.
Did he find anything in his rummaging?
[00:15:13] Speaker A: You found in the regard of keys. You found two keys. Although it doesn't take too much extrapolation to determine. One of them's probably for the front door and the other's probably for the closet.
[00:15:28] Speaker F: He looks down and he looks in his hand and he's holding the two keys.
Realizing he just kind of holds him out to Val and says, I guess we'll check on these later. Maybe. If they'll help us find anything.
[00:15:44] Speaker D: Yeah, Listen, Val's gonna try and help you walk away from the witch currently to kind of put some distance there, since you're covered in everything.
Yes. We'll do some investigating, but Howard's dad's body is. The body. We found a dead body with a knife in it.
[00:16:06] Speaker F: The one that was so mean.
[00:16:08] Speaker D: Yeah. He's being possessed by something.
Something that.
Something that is a lot like the Boogeyman. What?
Yeah. It's something that eats souls and preyed on fear and agony.
[00:16:30] Speaker F: Is it still there?
[00:16:31] Speaker D: It was an aspect of it, of the full thing.
It was breathing out green mist with these tendrils. Tried to get one of these chalices.
[00:16:44] Speaker F: The chalice.
[00:16:46] Speaker D: I blew it up with magic.
[00:16:47] Speaker F: The chalice or him?
[00:16:49] Speaker D: The thing inside of the body, not the chalice. Whatever entity was possessing him. We held it down and blasted it till it died, but the body's more or less okay.
[00:17:01] Speaker F: And what about Ivan?
[00:17:04] Speaker D: Sigurn took Ivan home.
[00:17:06] Speaker F: Good.
[00:17:07] Speaker D: Before all the fighting took place. So Ivan signed.
They're outside preparing a burial that I should help with for Howard's dad.
And then when that's done, maybe we can try and find another location. Basement, something. Figure out what's going on with these children.
I wasn't in here, so I'm not sure if you guys figured stuff out, but we'll kind of regroup our thoughts after that and.
[00:17:34] Speaker F: Yeah. Yeah, I think that would be.
[00:17:38] Speaker D: Do you need a change of clothes or anything?
You're just. Oh, you're just covered in stuff.
[00:17:45] Speaker F: He looks down, looks back up.
I don't think so.
[00:17:52] Speaker D: Okay,
[00:17:55] Speaker F: let's go out there.
[00:17:58] Speaker A: We'll go ahead and sort of zoom out our camera now from following a play by play of the actions. And we just go into just a bit of a montage as the group together completes digging the grave, assembles a makeshift casket out of what you can find from the witch's cabin.
And with whatever ceremony you can pull together in these dark woods, you lay Kadriel's body to rest in this grave.
I imagine Val probably recites some liturgies from Pharasma's texts. And with that, Alward, you finally have the peace of knowing that your father was laid to rest.
[00:18:49] Speaker C: I mean, his body, at least his
[00:18:51] Speaker A: body
[00:18:55] Speaker C: alward, is sort of standing at the edge of the freshly made grave and sort of turns his head toward Val and is like, can you.
Can you use that weird cutter and get my father out of the cup?
[00:19:21] Speaker D: I'm not sure.
Neither of these seem like the chalices that hold your father.
There should still be a third that Heimir has.
But if the curse or whatever happened to him is.
I don't know if it's on the body.
I could maybe try and break that connection, but I'm not sure.
I'm not sure if that would really help with the situation where things currently are.
I don't know how these things work or what's in them. I could certainly try, but I'm worried what curse might come out of it. If your father's not in here and it doesn't work, if there might be some other effect, just
[00:20:17] Speaker C: work on it.
[00:20:18] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. I'll take some time and try and figure something out while I'm here.
For sure.
[00:20:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:20:30] Speaker A: Sam, does Val have any, like, abilities that would Let her sense or be sensitive to spirits or something like that.
[00:20:39] Speaker D: Yes, I have a skill feat called consult the spirits. Basically, I can spend 10 minutes, do a recall knowledge check and I the spirits will reveal themselves. This is specifically through my religion.
[00:20:52] Speaker A: Gotcha. I think if you were to apply that ability here, then you would be able to confirm for sure if there was some way that you could access Kadriel's spirit through the chalice.
[00:21:06] Speaker D: Okay, that sounds good.
[00:21:07] Speaker A: Okay. And then you said that takes 10 minutes to go through all the ritual and everything.
[00:21:11] Speaker D: Yeah. So that will start like setting up a ritual by the burial site through
[00:21:17] Speaker B: the whole burial and, you know, service, etc.
While Uwe has been there, his mind hasn't been there. He's been thinking about where are all the children?
And he. His mind keeps coming back to where that we found Ivan in the room with Alward's father's body with the weird cutter.
And how the entity that was possessing the body seemed to be similar to the boogeyman.
The question that comes to his mind is would there be any bodies?
[00:22:03] Speaker A: Without more information or without rolling any checks, Uver you can think of many, many ways that someone could be a victim of a supernatural threat that would not leave bodies.
[00:22:18] Speaker B: Would Uver be able to glean of if the entity inside that body would have been able to absorb the children as a kind of sacrifice to keep them him passive.
[00:22:36] Speaker A: So without a check, what I can tell you is that typically, because you guys are familiar with boogeymen now from your adventures and experiences, and you're a well read dwarf, what you know of boogeymen proper is typically their victims meet one of two fates. Either they just straight up die and leave a body behind and the soul is consumed, or they are whisked away by the boogeyman and never heard of again, with the presumption that no one's been able to prove that they are then converted into a boogeyman themselves.
So with those two possible fates for a victim of a boogeyman property, there's not really enough information here for you to roll a check to confirm if one or the other was going to happen here. Because either Ivan would be dead because he was, you know, physically killed, which he was not, or there's some unknown something that boogeymen do to their victims after they kidnap them. And you, since you don't know what it is, you wouldn't be able to determine it here.
[00:23:47] Speaker B: After the service, Uber is going to go inside the cabin and into the room that they found Ivan and everything else.
And he's going to cast root reading.
[00:24:00] Speaker A: You'll have to remind me what that does. I know we talked about it last
[00:24:02] Speaker B: time, but I gained general insights into the immediate vicinity by sending my senses through the root system of trees and bushes. If there are any unnoticed medium or larger creatures in the area, I learn of their presence and they're undetected to me.
[00:24:19] Speaker A: So with the information you glean from sort of just consulting the earth and the trees and plants in the area, you catalog through the information that it's providing you, and each creature that you're aware of through this method that has either that has been here is creatures you've been aware of. Your friends the witch, Ivan. There are no other creatures that the roots and trees that would be aware
[00:24:45] Speaker B: of in the last hour, which means no basement.
As he's searching and sifting that information, straining to find anything, any hint, any whiff of presence, a lead, something he can grasp onto, and he's finding nothing.
And he keeps finding nothing.
And he keeps finding nothing.
His hand on the floor starts trembling, and it's as if the air starts palpitating around him and cracks start forming across the wood.
Creaking, groaning.
The floor starts turning to dust as he casts the spell awaken entropy inside the cabin.
[00:25:54] Speaker A: So what you all who are outside see then is Uwehr heads into the cabin, and he's gone for a while.
And then that side of the building that's got sort of like an outcropping for the closet where Ivan and Kadriel's body were found just starts to slowly look like it's decaying. And then boards are just disintegrating. And this effect just starts creeping across the whole building as the whole thing just seems to age hundreds of years in front of your eyes
[00:26:29] Speaker B: as this starts happening, you see one of the walls collapse.
[00:26:34] Speaker D: The wood rotted away.
[00:26:37] Speaker B: And Uwe quietly walks through and walks outside, not saying anything.
And behind him, the whole cabin, bored by boredom, board collapses into dust, the ground underneath aging fossils forming, freezing as it meets the heat. Death of the universe.
And then it fades and there's nothing left.
They're not here.
[00:27:19] Speaker A: While all of that is happening. And just as Uver is saying they're not here alward, you see golden threads flick and flicker out of the cabin and start whistling through the air, almost like fireflies leaving a trail or something.
And they whir through the air and just kind of flit around and then begin to sort of orbit around Val as she's focusing on this Ritual to reach out to spirits.
[00:27:52] Speaker C: How dare you?
That is cool, but how dare you?
[00:27:57] Speaker D: Hmm.
[00:27:57] Speaker C: Our is just gonna sit there and watch. I don't think he's gonna interrupt because he's worried if he tries anything, it'll mess up the ritual, and he doesn't want that.
[00:28:07] Speaker A: That's fair.
[00:28:08] Speaker F: At whatever point is appropriate, Zafir would like to just toss the keys behind him.
They're no use anymore.
[00:28:15] Speaker B: Toss them into the void.
[00:28:18] Speaker A: I don't know if this is how the spell works, but I really like the idea of. Zafir tosses the keys towards the cabin. And we get a slow mo as the keys enter the space and just rust starts creeping over them, and by the time they hit the ground, they just collapse into dust.
[00:28:37] Speaker B: That actually works.
[00:28:38] Speaker A: Works without works, Val, as this ritual that you've been conducting to try to reach out to the spirits as it completes, what you're expecting is, you know, divine spirits to reach out to you and provide some guidance. But when you open your eyes again now, you also can see these, like, flitting golden threads orbiting around you.
And as you look up, you see standing next to the freshly covered grave is what you would imagine Kadriel Volden would have looked like before decaying.
[00:29:17] Speaker D: Another one of my characters gets to talk to Howard's dad.
[00:29:21] Speaker E: Woo.
[00:29:24] Speaker A: And Neros. You also see this.
[00:29:27] Speaker D: Oh.
[00:29:27] Speaker C: What?
[00:29:29] Speaker D: Not Alward, but Nero's.
[00:29:31] Speaker C: Now I get to see Jack.
[00:29:33] Speaker D: I'm shook. I'm confused. See Jack, like, every day.
[00:29:36] Speaker C: That is true. I do see Jack a lot.
[00:29:38] Speaker B: Well, it probably has something to do that they don't know what you are.
[00:29:40] Speaker E: Yeah, I know, but I'm still confused.
[00:29:44] Speaker B: That's okay. We'll live with it.
[00:29:48] Speaker E: Just spit on myself.
[00:29:49] Speaker A: Kadriel is kind of just standing there, looking around as if confused and a little frightened.
[00:29:59] Speaker D: It's okay. It's okay.
[00:30:01] Speaker A: Who is that? Whose voice is that?
[00:30:04] Speaker D: Oh, my name is Val. I'm a champion of Farasma.
Soon to be Usher of Pharazok.
[00:30:16] Speaker A: A servant of Pharasma.
[00:30:18] Speaker D: I am.
[00:30:19] Speaker A: Am I dead then?
[00:30:23] Speaker D: It's a little confusing.
You're.
We believe your soul was taken, and we found your body recently.
Your Vald kind of looks over at outward, and she's just like, oh, boy.
Your son is here with us.
[00:30:45] Speaker A: My son?
Little Albert. How. How is he doing?
[00:30:51] Speaker D: I.
He's been doing good. He's stressed, but I think you'd be probably proud of him. He's helped do a lot of good in the world. He stopped an evil family, the Eridsons.
And we're working to stop an evil dragon called Fafnir.
[00:31:09] Speaker A: What? Wait, wait. Slow down, slow down.
My son is doing all of this?
[00:31:15] Speaker D: Well, I mean, we're all with him, but, yes, he's doing a lot of it. He's got great magic and power over time. And.
[00:31:23] Speaker A: How long have I been gone?
[00:31:25] Speaker D: About 10 years.
You went off, and only my father came back home.
[00:31:32] Speaker A: No, no, no. I needed.
I don't. There was. There was something very important I needed. He.
Someone needed me.
[00:31:45] Speaker B: Oh.
[00:31:45] Speaker D: Val looks over towards Neros, still not aware she can see what's going on. But when he said someone needing him.
What?
Sorry. Something this spirit said made me think of you.
[00:32:00] Speaker E: Important detail. Yes, I can see and hear him right now.
[00:32:03] Speaker A: Oh. Oh.
Who is that?
[00:32:07] Speaker D: Okay, that's interesting.
[00:32:08] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:32:09] Speaker E: Yeah, it's weird.
[00:32:10] Speaker C: Can I hear them talking?
[00:32:12] Speaker A: You can hear them talking, but you
[00:32:13] Speaker C: cannot hear Kadriel when she says this? I'm sorry.
[00:32:18] Speaker F: Here.
[00:32:19] Speaker C: Who are you guys talking to?
[00:32:22] Speaker D: Your dad.
[00:32:24] Speaker E: He's kind of standing by the grave right now.
[00:32:27] Speaker A: Is there someone else here?
[00:32:28] Speaker C: Gonna move my hand through where he's supposed to be?
[00:32:32] Speaker D: Yes. Your father. Your son is trying to touch you right now.
[00:32:38] Speaker A: He kind of, like, he can't see blindly. Reaches out in front of him.
If you see him, tell him.
Tell him I'm sorry I tried to come home.
[00:32:50] Speaker D: Do you.
First things first. I'm sorry. We found your body here in. Irison.
Was a wit in a witch's house. Do you remember anything about that? Any children that may have been here, who may have gone missing?
[00:33:04] Speaker A: No, I. I have no idea. I. The last thing I remember is traveling with. With my. My battalion and the war, and.
Oh, something.
Something dreadful happened, and.
Oh, we were so angry and afraid and.
And then pain.
I think I was stabbed.
[00:33:29] Speaker D: Did you know Heymir?
[00:33:33] Speaker A: I think so. That name is familiar. But it's all so foggy, and I feel like parts of me are missing.
[00:33:45] Speaker D: Did you hear her speaking just a minute ago?
[00:33:48] Speaker A: Yes. Whoever that young lady was. Yes,
[00:33:52] Speaker D: that's another one of our companions, Neros.
[00:33:56] Speaker A: Neros.
That name sounds familiar, but I have no idea why.
[00:34:06] Speaker D: That is also something we're trying to figure out. Do you know anything about Kadriel?
[00:34:13] Speaker E: Allegedly. From what we can piece together, Gadriel is the one that ran me to an orphanage.
[00:34:23] Speaker A: Did.
Did I. An orphanage? Did I know your parents?
[00:34:29] Speaker E: I would assume so.
I don't know.
[00:34:33] Speaker A: Well, who were they? Maybe. Maybe it'll jog my memory.
[00:34:35] Speaker E: The only name I have is Tyrell.
[00:34:39] Speaker A: No, that.
That's not Familiar? I'm sorry.
[00:34:44] Speaker E: Does the name Nixvale mean anything to you?
[00:34:48] Speaker A: Nixvale?
[00:34:50] Speaker D: We were nobles in Southmoor.
[00:34:54] Speaker A: Right. Everyone knows that.
[00:34:56] Speaker D: What do you mean, everyone knows that?
Nobody seems to know that.
[00:35:01] Speaker A: What do you mean?
[00:35:05] Speaker E: All evidence of the Nexfell family has disappeared from history and from memories.
[00:35:10] Speaker A: But wait, no, that.
That shouldn't.
That shouldn't. No.
[00:35:18] Speaker E: Who are the Nixvales?
[00:35:21] Speaker A: They're my friends.
[00:35:23] Speaker E: Do you have names?
[00:35:27] Speaker A: No.
No.
I should, but I don't.
Something's gone very wrong.
[00:35:34] Speaker D: What about Uvair? Uvair? The dwarf Uber. Does that sound familiar?
[00:35:39] Speaker A: You've met him?
[00:35:40] Speaker D: He's with us. Yes.
[00:35:41] Speaker A: He's here.
Where?
[00:35:43] Speaker D: Right over there.
[00:35:45] Speaker C: I'm gonna turn to her like Uwe. They're talking to my dead dad.
[00:35:49] Speaker D: We only. Only the two of us can hear you or see you.
[00:35:52] Speaker A: That's. That's strange.
[00:35:54] Speaker D: Well, because you're a spirit. It's strange that she can see you and hear you?
[00:35:58] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:35:59] Speaker D: Only I'm supposed to be able to right now.
[00:36:01] Speaker A: Oh, I keep forgetting I'm dead. I'm sorry.
[00:36:04] Speaker D: No, it's okay.
You might not be fully dead, though.
Your spirit or soul or something like you, they said was in a cup.
My father hanged me. His chalice.
[00:36:19] Speaker A: I don't think I'm in a cup.
[00:36:22] Speaker D: We don't.
There's so much of that we don't understand. But in theory, this is just an aspect of you. All of you.
But you're a spirit, so it must be all of you.
Boy. Does Cornelius mean anything to you?
[00:36:41] Speaker A: No.
I'm familiar with the name, but I don't know that I know anyone named that.
[00:36:46] Speaker D: What about Valian's over to Beerus. Is it okay that I mentioned?
Did I ask him about Karvis?
Is that cool? Like, what if he knows something about that whole situation?
[00:36:58] Speaker E: Do you know someone named Corvus?
[00:37:02] Speaker A: No.
That's. That's like.
It's like a bird, right? That's some kind of bird.
[00:37:07] Speaker E: It's. Well, it's Corvid.
[00:37:09] Speaker A: Yes, yes, that's what I was thinking.
[00:37:10] Speaker E: But you don't know anyone or anything named Corvus?
[00:37:14] Speaker D: Like a bat, like, bird thing?
[00:37:16] Speaker A: No, that sounds made up.
[00:37:17] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:37:21] Speaker E: What?
[00:37:21] Speaker A: Who?
[00:37:22] Speaker B: At this point, Uvaire walks up.
What are you talking about?
[00:37:27] Speaker D: What is happening? We're kind of asking Adriel if he knows about anything that's going on.
[00:37:32] Speaker C: So they get to see my father and talk to him.
[00:37:35] Speaker E: I'm sorry.
[00:37:36] Speaker B: And he knows my name?
[00:37:38] Speaker D: Yes. He knows who you are?
[00:37:40] Speaker C: Yeah. You traveled with him.
[00:37:41] Speaker F: Does he know who I am?
[00:37:43] Speaker B: I Don't remember traveling with Zafir.
[00:37:46] Speaker D: I don't think Zephyr. I don't think he. He knows who you are.
[00:37:49] Speaker C: He was.
[00:37:51] Speaker D: There's a boy.
[00:37:52] Speaker E: Do you know someone named Zephyr?
[00:37:53] Speaker D: It would have been a fetchling boy at your age when you saw.
[00:37:56] Speaker A: Well, the name sounds familiar, but I.
[00:38:00] Speaker E: Last name Ren.
[00:38:02] Speaker D: His parents were killed by a boogeyman.
[00:38:07] Speaker C: Last name Ren. His parents were killed by a boogeyman. He can do a hand.
Just drop all this.
[00:38:13] Speaker E: He was an assassin.
[00:38:15] Speaker D: I can knit now it seems like.
It seems like your memories are cloudy. So trying to say these things might bring things out.
[00:38:22] Speaker A: I don't know. That sounds familiar, but I can't. It's like when you're saying things, they. They sound familiar to me, but I can't provide any more memories to them.
[00:38:33] Speaker D: Howard, he says that he's sorry and that he wanted to make it home. And he tried.
[00:38:47] Speaker C: It's fine.
Tell him about Lena and my mom. And tell him that my mom's brother took us in.
They're doing fine.
[00:39:04] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:39:05] Speaker F: Do you not have any questions for him?
[00:39:10] Speaker C: What'd I ask?
[00:39:12] Speaker F: I don't know.
Just before you hang up the line, I figured you might want to ask him something.
[00:39:19] Speaker C: I.
[00:39:21] Speaker F: No.
[00:39:25] Speaker D: Alward wanted me to mention to you that I guess your brother in law took them in.
[00:39:33] Speaker A: Oh, good.
Good. He's a good man. He'll keep them safe.
[00:39:38] Speaker D: They're doing well.
Lena's getting older and schooling and.
They've all been good.
[00:39:46] Speaker C: Really good.
[00:39:46] Speaker B: Sweeper.
[00:39:48] Speaker A: How was married?
How was Valia?
[00:39:52] Speaker D: I looked at Alhor. Do I like mention the sick stuff? Is that the thing? When you knew her? Do you know anything about that? I don't want to like freak him out.
[00:40:03] Speaker C: I suppose he should know, but she's doing. I'm doing everything.
I'll fix it. It'll be fine.
[00:40:11] Speaker D: Okay. Valia is off and on, very sickly. She struggles with some sort of something. Disease ailments that they were able to afford medicine for. And doing all of. Doing all of this has earned us a lot of gold. So Howard's able to afford everything.
[00:40:31] Speaker A: She needs medicine. No, she doesn't need medicine. She needs.
[00:40:35] Speaker D: What do you mean she doesn't need medicine?
[00:40:37] Speaker A: Why can't I remember?
No, she needs. There's something she.
[00:40:42] Speaker D: She doesn't.
She doesn't need medicine. She needs something else.
[00:40:46] Speaker A: No, the medicine will help, but tell Howard if this is still going on, he needs to end it.
[00:40:54] Speaker D: What do you mean by end it?
[00:40:57] Speaker E: End what?
[00:40:58] Speaker D: End what? Like to stop giving her Medicine.
[00:41:02] Speaker A: He needs to stop it. If she's still under these effects, if she's still not feeling well, he doesn't have much time left.
[00:41:11] Speaker D: Not much time. What do you. What. What are these effects? What is happening to her?
[00:41:14] Speaker A: I don't remember.
[00:41:17] Speaker D: Oh.
[00:41:17] Speaker A: I don't remember.
[00:41:19] Speaker C: What. What I.
[00:41:28] Speaker D: Your. Your mom is.
[00:41:30] Speaker C: Alward's going to see you like panicking and not know what to do. And like looking at Neros and looking back where my dad's standing. And he's going to like reach out and try to touch the threads, but his hands gonna go through them and grab you.
[00:41:42] Speaker A: Ah.
[00:41:43] Speaker C: What's going on?
[00:41:45] Speaker A: Alward? As soon as you touch Val, you can now suddenly see your father.
[00:41:53] Speaker C: Alward's face just goes pale.
[00:41:56] Speaker D: He was saying something about your mother, that you don't have a lot of time. Something about the sickness in the helmet that he doesn't remember, but that it's still going on. That it needs to be ended. You have to end it. Stop it somehow. Something bad going to happen due to it. Something like. Seemingly a lot more worse than just to her. The implications seem big. But he doesn't know anything, Howard.
[00:42:19] Speaker C: Not even listening.
Can he. Can you see me? Can you hear me?
[00:42:26] Speaker A: I hear another voice. Who is that?
[00:42:30] Speaker C: Dad?
[00:42:31] Speaker A: Is that you, Howard?
[00:42:33] Speaker C: Yeah, it. What's going on with mom?
[00:42:37] Speaker A: Oh, by Abadar.
You're a man now.
[00:42:43] Speaker C: Uncle Alwyn got me a job. And you know, his. What he wanted to do and everything.
[00:42:49] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:42:52] Speaker C: It didn't work out too well when mum got sick, so I'm doing this now. But you've been gone for 10 years.
[00:43:01] Speaker A: I'm so sorry.
[00:43:03] Speaker C: You can't help it. It wasn't your fault.
[00:43:06] Speaker A: You must have had to grow up so fast.
[00:43:09] Speaker C: No. I mean, yeah, but. No, but Alwyn had. Uncle Alwyn had a lot of money, so I just went to school and Mom's still in her mourning period, of course, but.
[00:43:20] Speaker A: And he's still helping you.
[00:43:24] Speaker C: We're up here now and you know, it's.
We're making it work with everything.
[00:43:31] Speaker A: Good.
Good.
I wish I could have been there for you.
[00:43:41] Speaker C: You did what you could and I understand. You know, you were called to an important war and we mourned you. And mom is still mourning you.
[00:43:52] Speaker F: And
[00:43:54] Speaker C: I'm sorry your body got mangled by Val.
[00:43:59] Speaker A: Excuse me, What?
[00:44:00] Speaker D: You didn't have to mention that part.
[00:44:01] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I'm nervous. I.
[00:44:03] Speaker D: There was a thing possessing your body and it was trying to do stuff. So I dismembered you. I'm Sorry.
[00:44:08] Speaker C: She didn't know it was you.
[00:44:10] Speaker D: Some sort of creature with green fog tendrils that seem to feed on agony and fear.
[00:44:16] Speaker A: I'm glad you destroyed that, then.
[00:44:19] Speaker D: Cool. That didn't ring any bell. Sorry. I'm not gonna interrupt you guys.
[00:44:24] Speaker C: You're fine.
I'll tell mom you said hi.
[00:44:30] Speaker A: It might be better for her if you don't.
[00:44:34] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:44:36] Speaker A: It might be better for her if I didn't come back to die again.
[00:44:44] Speaker C: I mean, you're. Your soul. I don't know much about that, but I don't think you're our. Kind of. Turning to Val, like. I don't think you're alive right now.
[00:44:55] Speaker D: I don't. I mean, it's his spirit, Yeah?
[00:44:58] Speaker C: I mean, presumably,
[00:45:01] Speaker D: but then his soul's maybe in that cup.
Chalice.
[00:45:06] Speaker A: I really don't feel like I'm in a cup.
[00:45:09] Speaker D: No, you might not be, but there might be another part of you that is.
[00:45:13] Speaker A: I'm sorry. It's a lot to get used to.
[00:45:15] Speaker D: It's okay. Unfortunately, that chalice is in possession of my father, who's gone a little crazy.
[00:45:21] Speaker A: Who's your father?
[00:45:23] Speaker D: Hey, Mir.
[00:45:24] Speaker C: He's the one who killed you.
[00:45:27] Speaker D: He said that? He said he was friends with you.
[00:45:30] Speaker A: Yes, we are.
We were close friends.
How is he doing?
Wait, no. You just said he's going crazy.
[00:45:41] Speaker D: I.
Yeah, he came home. His wife died while giving birth to me.
Well, after he'd left for the war with you.
And I was raised by another. When he came back, he said everyone was dead but him, and he was speaking to his chalice a lot, and he wasn't very good.
[00:46:02] Speaker A: His chalice.
[00:46:03] Speaker D: A stone chalice with carvings all over it.
[00:46:07] Speaker C: So from.
I went inside his mind. I can go in people's minds. By the way.
[00:46:13] Speaker A: I'm so proud of you.
[00:46:14] Speaker C: It takes a lot of effort, but
[00:46:16] Speaker A: you'll get better at it.
[00:46:17] Speaker C: Thank you. It's very nice to hear.
[00:46:20] Speaker E: Did Cadre. Was Kadriel able to do that?
[00:46:23] Speaker D: Probably.
[00:46:24] Speaker C: He's a very supportive father.
But from my gathering, you guys went into a tomb, and that chalice made everyone go crazy.
[00:46:38] Speaker A: Yes. There was a chalice there when everything went crazy.
[00:46:43] Speaker C: One attacked everyone else, and he stabbed you in the throat.
[00:46:48] Speaker B: Oh,
[00:46:50] Speaker A: yes. I remember that now. And his hand just kind of drifts up to his neck.
[00:46:56] Speaker D: From what I gather, listening to the others, I.
This little creature, this fella named Cornelius came.
I think he was looking for the chalice. But he saw me. I ran into him, and he put on a whole show of me being a Chosen special person. And I ran away from home with him. And then Hamir was looking for me and gave himself to some sort of entity. And now he's going crazier and threatened to kill one of our friends.
[00:47:28] Speaker A: Wait.
[00:47:29] Speaker D: But he can't find me for some reason.
[00:47:33] Speaker A: I'm sorry. This is a lot of information.
[00:47:35] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm sorry.
What we have, you know, we don't have any options. Actually. Opportunities to actually ask people who might know things about things. You know, via the memory loss and everything.
[00:47:47] Speaker A: It sounds like this all happened after I died, so I don't know.
[00:47:50] Speaker D: No, that part's fair. Yes.
He seems to have your soul with you. With him in his chalice. Several people from your group.
[00:48:01] Speaker A: That doesn't make sense. Haymir never was one for magical prowess.
[00:48:07] Speaker C: It's the chalice.
[00:48:08] Speaker A: He was really more of a charlatan if you ask me.
He just kept going on about strange made up folk remedies and ways to kill things.
[00:48:21] Speaker C: Shots fired at the thaumaturge class.
[00:48:26] Speaker A: Val.
You suddenly feel it's not exactly a cold breeze, but it's more of the thought of cold.
Behind you
[00:48:38] Speaker D: slowly turn around.
[00:48:40] Speaker A: And behind you you see the air itself sort of rippling. Almost as if space is casting a shadow on itself in that space.
And through this sort of ripple in reality steps Barzok.
[00:49:00] Speaker C: Does everyone see Barzok?
[00:49:03] Speaker A: Actually, yes.
[00:49:05] Speaker D: Oh, cool. Wait.
[00:49:06] Speaker A: Good question.
[00:49:06] Speaker B: Everyone.
[00:49:07] Speaker A: Yes, everyone sees this.
[00:49:09] Speaker F: Oh, hey, Uwe. That's Barzok.
[00:49:12] Speaker C: I'm gonna point to Edit. We've met him before.
[00:49:16] Speaker A: You can see him.
[00:49:18] Speaker D: Oh, I'm gonna walk over to Bersak.
[00:49:22] Speaker C: I guess I stopped touching. Val.
[00:49:27] Speaker D: Greetings to the passage.
I can guess whom, why you're here.
[00:49:35] Speaker A: Quite true.
I reasoned you are not quite strong enough in your new abilities to open a pathway to the dead roads. So I have taken the liberty of opening a doorway for you.
[00:49:49] Speaker D: Oh yeah, before we get to that.
Do you know.
Is this like all of him?
[00:50:02] Speaker A: This is all you are tasked with guiding for now.
[00:50:07] Speaker D: There's more of him out there somewhere.
We figure his soul might not be complete.
[00:50:14] Speaker A: I do not see imperfections that could be gathered.
If there are remaining portions, then they are hidden from me.
[00:50:23] Speaker D: Oh, okay, sure. So it's time I then. Yeah.
[00:50:32] Speaker A: It is time that you guide these souls onto the next life.
[00:50:35] Speaker D: Souls? Plural?
[00:50:38] Speaker A: He gestures over to where Kadriel is standing and then to you and says, yes.
Fragmented as they may be.
[00:50:49] Speaker D: Could you explain a little further to me?
I just wish to understand.
[00:50:53] Speaker B: Are you talking about the children?
[00:50:56] Speaker A: Yes.
Victims of the witch's cruelty.
But you can bring them peace. Vow as an usher should.
[00:51:06] Speaker D: Oh, okay.
[00:51:10] Speaker A: He steps aside and gestures his arm to the door.
Walk them to the edge of the boneyard and go no further than you went on your previous excursion.
Once they have been guided to the metropolis of the dead, a door will open to lead you back here.
[00:51:32] Speaker D: Okay, sure.
[00:51:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:51:37] Speaker D: Outward.
[00:51:40] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:51:42] Speaker D: The time is up now,
[00:51:45] Speaker C: right?
Our just sort of nods and makes himself smaller. He curls up and folds in his hands and sort of steps back.
[00:51:57] Speaker D: You can say goodbye and I'll gather the children.
[00:52:01] Speaker C: I've spent the last 10 years saying goodbye. I don't want to do it again.
[00:52:08] Speaker D: Okay, Gadriel,
[00:52:12] Speaker A: I'm ready.
[00:52:14] Speaker D: All right.
[00:52:15] Speaker B: Before you walk, or as you're walking through the door.
Uvers.
[00:52:25] Speaker A: I'm sorry, little ones.
[00:52:28] Speaker D: I tried.
And I think, like, as Val's going forward and kind of ushering them along, looking at her as. Like she's starting to disappear, like, she kind of changes a bit where, like, when you look at her, it's like there's all of her armor and skin has this like, translucent galaxy pasted over it.
And there's like various. Like her wings are kind of coming out and there's eyes on them, and there's just like eyes over her body looking very strict.
And then she kind of disappears.
[00:53:09] Speaker A: And that's where we'll end this episode.
And the hero point for today's episode goes to Jenkins for just his portrayal of Alward and just navigating. This was a tough time for Alward, and I think you did it well.
[00:53:25] Speaker C: Thank you. I try.
I do thank all of. I think everyone did a great job this episode. If I could, I'd give you all a hero point.
I will graciously accept this.
I'm gonna go ahead and go stand at a window looking at the pouring down rain off into the distance at nothing dramatically while I piece together what just happened.
And then I'm taking a nice.
[00:53:59] Speaker A: I didn't put any thought into my call to action.
[00:54:02] Speaker F: Are you gonna take a nap?
[00:54:04] Speaker A: Go get on the Discord.
[00:54:07] Speaker B: Take a nap.
[00:54:08] Speaker C: You know what's. Maybe just skip it.
[00:54:09] Speaker D: This.
You know, it's great to take a nap to the show.
[00:54:12] Speaker C: We're gonna.
[00:54:13] Speaker A: We're gonna skip the call to action because I. I know our listeners and I trust them to engage with us. Right, guys, we'll see you there on Discord.

And the Hero point for. Oh, hold on, that's the wrong vibes to come in.
[00:55:21] Speaker E: After that, the Hero point wasn't that swell.
[00:55:26] Speaker C: Let's go.
