[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part. Such as like comment rate and don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:32] Speaker B: Now, where did we leave off? [00:00:36] Speaker A: Ah, yes. [00:00:40] Speaker B: As the lamp led Alward and the others further into the forest, they came across a frozen lake mid crossing. A noise beneath the surface accompanied two ice worms emerging from the frozen waters to charge them. [00:01:01] Speaker C: So I do need to ask. So they talked about ice being left over behind these ice worms. Do. Are they like worms in the way? So they eat the ice to burrow and then poop it out to cover. [00:01:12] Speaker A: Which worm? W O, R M or W Y R? [00:01:15] Speaker D: Do they poop out ices or is it just. [00:01:18] Speaker B: So the spelling is the second crush dice block Dice. However, shaved ice. [00:01:25] Speaker C: Ew. [00:01:25] Speaker E: It's like a snow cone. [00:01:26] Speaker D: Not like wombats, but not cube dyes. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Their stat block explicitly says that they leave no tunnels or signs of their passing. [00:01:36] Speaker F: So they just travel through ice? [00:01:37] Speaker B: Yeah, they just. [00:01:38] Speaker C: Their ice phase through the ice. That's much lamer than just pooping it out behind them. [00:01:43] Speaker B: Well, they do, but they just. [00:01:47] Speaker A: Unobtrusively. [00:01:48] Speaker B: This is. [00:01:50] Speaker E: If they phase through the ice, then how did we hear the ice echo noises last episode? [00:01:55] Speaker B: This is a question of zoology. Right, Abby? [00:01:57] Speaker C: Hey, hey, wait. Didn't they pronounce the ice. [00:02:00] Speaker E: Don't pronounce it like that, you heathen zoologist. You are not. No, it's zoology. There's only two O's in that word. [00:02:08] Speaker D: They gotta keep the prefix in the suffixology after. [00:02:12] Speaker E: It's zoology, not zoology. [00:02:14] Speaker A: So I have to go to the Zo. I want to go to the Zoe elephants. [00:02:18] Speaker F: You read it as Z O, Dash. [00:02:21] Speaker B: Then you can go to the zoo or the zoological gardens. [00:02:24] Speaker A: Oh, you go to the zoo. [00:02:29] Speaker E: A person who works at the zoo is a zoologist, not a zoologist. Otherwise there would be three O's at the beginning of that word. There's only two. [00:02:38] Speaker F: Another O into zoology. So we can say zoology is zoology. [00:02:42] Speaker D: Short for zoology or zoological garden or whatever you say. [00:02:46] Speaker B: It is short for zoological garden. [00:02:48] Speaker D: That makes sense. So if you're saying zoo, it's the zoo. It's an acronym. [00:02:52] Speaker E: It's zoologist. [00:02:54] Speaker D: What's the short word for a word? [00:02:56] Speaker F: Abbreviated abbreviation. [00:02:58] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:02:59] Speaker E: Anyway. [00:03:04] Speaker F: Let's just go through this whole episode just abbreviating everything we say, starting now. [00:03:10] Speaker B: Okay, so the IW starts. [00:03:13] Speaker C: Oh no, I'm already lost. [00:03:14] Speaker E: The ew. [00:03:16] Speaker A: We roll, roll in a. [00:03:20] Speaker B: What's that? Init roll. [00:03:22] Speaker A: Init roll. [00:03:22] Speaker C: Give me your ini roll. [00:03:24] Speaker D: You should probably get out my D. [00:03:26] Speaker B: I, C, E. So we're just gonna dive right in. [00:03:29] Speaker C: Wait, but the I and I bonus sounds like something you'd put on your tax form. [00:03:33] Speaker F: So let's just dive right in like Jordy said. [00:03:35] Speaker B: So let's just dive right in like. [00:03:38] Speaker E: The word, into the world of imagination. [00:03:43] Speaker A: Yeah, what's that? [00:03:44] Speaker C: I hate imagining. [00:03:45] Speaker E: I was about to say, can you imagine it? [00:03:48] Speaker B: So you all were prompted by this shavings of ice that started poking up out of the lake. You quickly moved to whatever you deemed was the safest location. Unless you were alward and were stunned, were unable to move until you were dragged by the force of magical gravity. [00:04:03] Speaker E: Poor alward. [00:04:04] Speaker F: I've had a time. [00:04:05] Speaker B: Suddenly, out through the ice bursts a giant ice wall. It leaves behind itself no trace of its passing, whether through artifice, magic, or merely pooping out ice behind. [00:04:19] Speaker C: Who can say this is worm. [00:04:20] Speaker E: With a worm, there's like grape snow cone behind it. [00:04:23] Speaker D: Hold on. You dare say it left itself behind? You said it leaves behind itself. So it's gone. [00:04:28] Speaker B: It leaves behind itself. [00:04:29] Speaker D: So we don't have to worry about it. [00:04:30] Speaker C: No choice. There's a comma. [00:04:32] Speaker D: I hate commas. Nobody remembers this. [00:04:35] Speaker B: Only seconds behind this, a second ice worm bursts out of the surface of the lake, just next to the two stone pillars that Val and Uver have perched themselves on top of. I'm just letting him go ahead and take his first action just for the drama. So you know where the two of them are. As the first of these two ice worms finishes his turn sneaking across the surface of the ice up to disappear and lashes out at him with its tail. [00:05:03] Speaker D: Oh, so you're gonna hit me first, huh? Alright. [00:05:08] Speaker B: With a 25 to hit. [00:05:10] Speaker D: That does not hit. [00:05:12] Speaker B: I was gonna ask if that made any difference since you have lesser cover kind of being behind that pillar. But it sounds like even without the lesser cover, it didn't hit. [00:05:19] Speaker D: Surprisingly, no. [00:05:21] Speaker B: All right. [00:05:21] Speaker F: Wow. [00:05:22] Speaker B: Then it's the other ice worm's turn. It's going to swing around. No, no, it's not gonna swing. [00:05:32] Speaker D: You already took your hand off the piece, Jordy. You can't make another. [00:05:35] Speaker B: And it swings around to alward from behind. [00:05:38] Speaker C: Oh no. [00:05:39] Speaker F: How dare. [00:05:40] Speaker D: Hand back on the piece. Put your hand back on the piece. [00:05:42] Speaker B: And it swipes it alward with its tail. [00:05:46] Speaker C: No, wait. [00:05:46] Speaker F: I don't like that. [00:05:47] Speaker B: Stop that alward. It's got a 38 to hit. You're prone to AC. [00:05:54] Speaker F: Proned it's a critical hit. No. [00:05:58] Speaker E: Oh, wait, wait, wait. [00:05:59] Speaker A: Can I, can I, can I do a thing? [00:06:02] Speaker E: I can't help you. [00:06:03] Speaker B: Perhaps you can. [00:06:04] Speaker E: I'm sorry, friend. [00:06:06] Speaker C: I can help you. [00:06:07] Speaker A: Do your thing. [00:06:08] Speaker B: You are not within 15ft. [00:06:10] Speaker C: Yes, I. Yes, I am. [00:06:12] Speaker B: You are on top of a 12 foot pillar. [00:06:13] Speaker F: Yeah, Sam. [00:06:14] Speaker E: And the consequences of your actions? [00:06:17] Speaker B: Pythagoras disagrees with you. [00:06:19] Speaker C: Well, then I'm gonna do my other reaction that I got this level. [00:06:22] Speaker B: Oh. [00:06:23] Speaker C: Called Champion Sacrifice. An allies hit by a strike or fails a saving throw against an effect that doesn't affect me. Within 30ft, I form a link with Alward, allowing me to take harm in his stead. So I just take all the normal effects except for instead of outward. [00:06:39] Speaker B: Wow. [00:06:40] Speaker E: What was this? [00:06:41] Speaker C: Champion Sacrifice. [00:06:42] Speaker E: Wow. [00:06:44] Speaker B: In that case, I got you. [00:06:45] Speaker E: Do it better. [00:06:46] Speaker F: Thanks. [00:06:47] Speaker E: Sorry. That was mean. [00:06:49] Speaker F: I'm on the ground. [00:06:51] Speaker B: Stand up. [00:06:51] Speaker F: I can. It's not my turn. [00:06:53] Speaker E: Well, the real Slim Shady. Stand up. [00:06:55] Speaker B: You take 40 slashing damage. [00:06:59] Speaker C: I'm glad I took that. [00:07:01] Speaker B: And 2D6 persistent cold damage. Jeez. [00:07:06] Speaker C: Okay. I imagine as the tail lashes out, it hits a bunch of those purple black crackles that I've talked about before, and those kind of like, turn red as they're hit that hard. And then I. Val, from a perched, is like, just winces at the pain she just felt and starts shivering a bit. [00:07:23] Speaker B: Yeah, and you've got like tiny like shards of ice that have just like embedded themselves in you. And until you. They either fall out or melt out, you're just gonna keep taking that cold damage. [00:07:32] Speaker C: Oh, like, okay, is there actually like a mechanic to doing that or is it normal? [00:07:36] Speaker B: Just persistent. But the tail, having swiped at Alward and all that damage, transferred itself over to Val and now snakes around under him and tries to tighten around him. [00:07:51] Speaker E: Halward, buddy. [00:07:52] Speaker F: I'll be okay. We have Val. [00:07:54] Speaker E: Your face says you're worried. [00:07:57] Speaker F: No, I'm fine. [00:07:58] Speaker B: 34 versus your fortitude, D.C. [00:08:04] Speaker F: It'S a fail. I failed. [00:08:08] Speaker B: Oh, you failed. I was like, wait, how did I fail? [00:08:12] Speaker C: Is this linked to the strike or is this a separate action? [00:08:14] Speaker B: Separate. Okay, so you are grabbed. [00:08:17] Speaker F: Is this a separate action? Because it used one action to pop up, One action to move to me, one action to attack. [00:08:23] Speaker B: You're right. It had to move. [00:08:24] Speaker C: Come on, comrade. [00:08:25] Speaker B: It is ungrabbed. You're ungrabbed. Nothing grabbed. [00:08:28] Speaker C: I remembered it until this turn. Thank you for remembering it. Albert gets an extra hero point for that. [00:08:33] Speaker A: He does. [00:08:33] Speaker E: He gets four. [00:08:34] Speaker C: I'll take it. [00:08:35] Speaker E: Nah, he gets four no, but he. [00:08:37] Speaker B: Does get to take his turn. [00:08:38] Speaker F: Oh, my goodness. I should have been prepared for this. [00:08:40] Speaker B: Stand up, Howard. [00:08:42] Speaker C: Leg right in front of this giant. [00:08:43] Speaker F: Stand up. [00:08:44] Speaker B: Will the real Alward stand up? [00:08:46] Speaker E: What you believe he is slim and sometimes he's shady. [00:08:52] Speaker D: He's never shady. [00:08:53] Speaker C: He got fired for embezzling. He's shady. [00:08:55] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:08:56] Speaker E: That's my point. [00:08:59] Speaker A: Hmm. [00:09:02] Speaker D: I agree. [00:09:03] Speaker F: I'm going to catch cast time jump. And as I do so, Alward's voice can be heard all around. Time is frozen, so I then stand up and then I move closer to Neros as far as I think 30ft can take me. [00:09:22] Speaker B: Okay, so this is as far as you can get. Just 15ft. Because the ice is difficult terrain. [00:09:27] Speaker C: Oh, right. [00:09:28] Speaker B: Would you like to move further north to make sure that you're further away from the ice wurm on the bottom? [00:09:33] Speaker D: Yes. [00:09:34] Speaker B: Okay. You are now 20ft away from one ice worm and 25ft away from the other. [00:09:40] Speaker E: He's being smart. He's coming to shore. [00:09:45] Speaker F: Coming to shore. [00:09:46] Speaker D: Look at that. If he hadn't come to shore, we. I don't know where I was going with that. [00:09:51] Speaker F: Okay. And then I'm going to cast telekinetic projectile launching just a shard of ice at the one closest to Zafir. [00:10:01] Speaker B: Okay. [00:10:04] Speaker F: I'm gonna use a hero point for that. [00:10:06] Speaker C: Oh, man. [00:10:06] Speaker F: I want. [00:10:07] Speaker C: I saw you look sigh and look at your hero points. [00:10:10] Speaker F: And I was like, no, I rolled a three. Oh, this is amped, by the way. That's so much better. 38. [00:10:19] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:10:20] Speaker C: Yay, rock. [00:10:23] Speaker F: Guys, I need so many D6s I've got here. [00:10:25] Speaker D: Take this whole thing. [00:10:28] Speaker C: I've got two right here. Three right here if you want them. [00:10:36] Speaker F: 44 damage. [00:10:39] Speaker C: Nice. [00:10:40] Speaker F: Ouch. And they are pushed back five feet. [00:10:46] Speaker B: So this shard of ice just bursts up out of the lake and slams into the front of the ice worm. And it just this massive creature. It is literally the sides category huge. Goes sliding back away from Zafir Jenkins up brown wonders. [00:11:01] Speaker D: Man. [00:11:02] Speaker F: Sorry. [00:11:02] Speaker C: Ew. You don't know where that ice has been. [00:11:05] Speaker F: That is my turn. [00:11:06] Speaker D: Zafir, since it's my turn, I'd like to point out why don't encounters ever come, like pre damaged, like all monsters always are at full health. That makes zero sense. [00:11:16] Speaker C: We're always at full health. [00:11:17] Speaker F: It's a fear. [00:11:17] Speaker A: This is not necessarily. [00:11:18] Speaker F: Not to be questioning why monsters don't fight each other. [00:11:21] Speaker D: Not necessarily. How tall is the pillar? [00:11:24] Speaker B: 12Ft. [00:11:25] Speaker C: Could you teleport to the shadow behind me? [00:11:29] Speaker D: Is that possible? [00:11:31] Speaker B: So one thing that has not come up until just now. You can only use that ability once every 1d4 rounds. [00:11:39] Speaker A: Right? [00:11:39] Speaker D: Which I used it the last round, but we don't know how. [00:11:42] Speaker C: Roll a D4 quick. [00:11:43] Speaker B: So before we roll the D4, if the D4 rolls A1, then it has already recharged and you can use it now. And you can teleport to any space within 30ft. It'll just create enough shadow for you to get there. If you're teleporting to somewhere that's not in bright light, then you can go 60ft because you don't have to waste power creating a shadow to come out of. [00:12:05] Speaker D: Wait, so you're saying I don't need a pre existing shadow? [00:12:09] Speaker B: No, you do not. [00:12:10] Speaker F: That ability is way cooler than what we opened up. [00:12:12] Speaker D: A lot more possibilities. [00:12:13] Speaker C: Oh, no. What have you done? Jody? [00:12:15] Speaker B: I read the rules. [00:12:16] Speaker D: I am going to roll a D4, though. [00:12:18] Speaker B: I think there was an old, older version that wasn't as good. [00:12:21] Speaker C: I appreciate you. [00:12:22] Speaker D: Well, that's a four, so I ain't going anywhere anytime soon. So I'm gonna climb. [00:12:27] Speaker B: Okay. Give me an athletics check. [00:12:29] Speaker D: Okay. Oh, great. 22. I don't want to spend a card for that. [00:12:35] Speaker B: That is a critical success for this check. Because it is a inclined rocky surface, so it's not particularly hard to climb, so you can actually move 10ft. So. So with one action, you are just like right next to the edge. So you can use a second action. And I'm not going to make you roll. I'm not going to say you're on top yet. You'll just have to spend 10ft of a stride to finish climbing over the top. If that makes sense. [00:13:02] Speaker D: Yeah. I think I'll spend another action to get up onto the top of the ledge. [00:13:05] Speaker B: Okay. [00:13:05] Speaker D: And then I will pull out my bow. [00:13:09] Speaker B: Okay. Question. Yes. [00:13:11] Speaker D: How long does this work? Worm look. [00:13:14] Speaker B: Like 40ft long. [00:13:16] Speaker D: Okay. So if it stood up on its butt, it could eat all of us at once. [00:13:21] Speaker F: Cool. [00:13:22] Speaker B: Uber. [00:13:24] Speaker A: Okay. I don't know if this will work. I haven't used this before. It's fairly simple though. Tangle vine on the one chasing outward. [00:13:36] Speaker B: Okay. [00:13:36] Speaker E: What does that do? [00:13:38] Speaker A: A vine appears from thin air, flicking from my hand and lashing itself to the target. I attempt a spell attack roll. On a critical success, the target gains the immobilized condition and takes a minus 10 foot circumstance dependently to its speed for one minute. [00:13:57] Speaker C: Sven, you should have used that against the trees before Blizzard. [00:14:04] Speaker B: They would have would have been walking around A little slower. [00:14:10] Speaker A: Whatever. All right. 30. [00:14:17] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:14:18] Speaker A: Excellent. The target just takes a minus 10 circumstance penalty to its speeds for one minute. [00:14:24] Speaker B: Oh, I thought there was more stuff writing on that. [00:14:26] Speaker A: Nope. It can attempt to escape against my spell. DC to remove the penalty. [00:14:30] Speaker F: That's actually really good. [00:14:31] Speaker C: Especially with all these casters. [00:14:34] Speaker A: A tangled vine is just a cantrip. [00:14:35] Speaker B: It's a good cantrip. Yeah. Okay. [00:14:39] Speaker A: Can I try and figure some other things out about this thing? I already. I. I rolled last time and I found out that their weakest save was Will, if I remember right. [00:14:47] Speaker F: Oh, good to know. [00:14:48] Speaker B: Yeah. What was your arcana bonus again? [00:14:50] Speaker A: 25. [00:14:52] Speaker B: That's another success. What would you like to know? [00:14:56] Speaker A: Well, I got their weakest saves. How about special attacks similar to dragons? [00:15:02] Speaker B: They do have a breath weapon. It functions similarly in that it does a line of damage and has to recharge on a die roll. [00:15:12] Speaker C: Don't stand in the line, guys. [00:15:15] Speaker D: Aren't we already? [00:15:17] Speaker C: Oh no. Oh no, we are. There's three of us in a line. [00:15:21] Speaker A: Is what it is. [00:15:23] Speaker B: Next up is Neros. [00:15:26] Speaker E: Hi. That's me. How far away? [00:15:30] Speaker B: The closest ice worm is 55ft away. [00:15:33] Speaker E: Okay. [00:15:34] Speaker C: Oh wait. This one's 30ft. [00:15:35] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right. The diagonal one down here is 30ft away. [00:15:38] Speaker E: Perfect. I don't have to use reach. I'm going to make a spell attack roll. [00:15:45] Speaker B: So you're attacking the. The southern one. The southern diagonal that got blasted by the telekinetic projectile. [00:15:52] Speaker E: Yes. [00:15:53] Speaker C: Was it the northeast one that has tangled iron? [00:15:55] Speaker D: Yes. [00:15:56] Speaker C: Okay. [00:15:56] Speaker E: Okay. My pre rolls were not good. So we'll see how this goes. [00:16:00] Speaker B: I forgot to pre roll my dice. No wonder this bronze one's doing so bad. [00:16:04] Speaker E: I'm going to spend this here point to re roll this. [00:16:07] Speaker B: What was your original roll? [00:16:08] Speaker E: I don't want to talk about it. [00:16:10] Speaker B: The world may never know. [00:16:12] Speaker E: It won't. [00:16:13] Speaker C: I bet it was a three. [00:16:15] Speaker E: That's much better. Comparatively. [00:16:17] Speaker C: That looked like a 20 for a second. [00:16:19] Speaker E: It's not a 20, but that is a 33 to hit. [00:16:24] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:16:24] Speaker E: Woo. Sweet. I'm telekinetic. Projectiling this thing. [00:16:28] Speaker A: Nice. [00:16:29] Speaker B: Hurling another chunk of ice. Or something else this time. [00:16:31] Speaker E: Oh, it looks like there might be some loose rocks behind me. Or boulder or whatever. [00:16:38] Speaker B: Sure. [00:16:39] Speaker E: I'll just throw some of that at this ice worm and hopefully it does some damage. [00:16:43] Speaker C: Dome it in the eye. [00:16:45] Speaker D: Yeah. Hey, ugly. [00:16:47] Speaker E: I don't want to call it ugly because it might actually be very beautiful. It's just attacking us. [00:16:52] Speaker D: It's Just a way to provoke it. You don't have to be ugly. [00:16:55] Speaker E: Ooh, I forgot I had these dice. [00:16:56] Speaker C: Some ugly personality. Really? [00:16:58] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean, if it's trying to eat you. Unless the circle of life, like hello, predator, prey. [00:17:05] Speaker A: Like nothing personal, you want to lower. [00:17:08] Speaker D: On the food chain. [00:17:09] Speaker F: Literally. [00:17:09] Speaker C: It was great playing bingo yesterday, but I am hungry. [00:17:15] Speaker E: Ooh, not bad. [00:17:16] Speaker D: Not bad. [00:17:17] Speaker E: Not bad. Could be better. But it's not bad. [00:17:20] Speaker A: I get the impression that it's not bad. [00:17:22] Speaker E: 33 points of damage. Nice. [00:17:25] Speaker C: That's not bad. [00:17:26] Speaker D: That's like. [00:17:27] Speaker C: That's pretty great. [00:17:28] Speaker E: I told you it's not bad. It's pretty good. [00:17:29] Speaker B: Not bad. [00:17:30] Speaker C: I'd say that's better than not bad. [00:17:31] Speaker D: Both times it was hit. Wait, is this the same one that was hit by a Patel pretended last time? [00:17:36] Speaker E: Yes sir. [00:17:37] Speaker F: Last time. [00:17:37] Speaker D: It's 44 this time. [00:17:39] Speaker B: So this chunk of ice blasts into it on one shoulder and scoots it back five feet. And then another one, just a rock clips it from behind and cracks just start to develop along the length of its body. [00:17:51] Speaker E: Let's see. I've got one action left. [00:17:53] Speaker B: Yes. [00:17:54] Speaker E: Can I recall knowledge? [00:17:55] Speaker B: Sure. What's better for you? Arcana or nature? [00:17:59] Speaker E: Arcana. [00:18:00] Speaker B: What's your bonus? [00:18:01] Speaker E: 19. [00:18:03] Speaker B: That's a success. [00:18:05] Speaker E: Does it have any like, regenerative abilities? [00:18:09] Speaker B: It does not. [00:18:10] Speaker A: Okay. [00:18:12] Speaker B: Val. Val. [00:18:14] Speaker C: So that one's blooded down there. [00:18:15] Speaker B: Not quite. [00:18:16] Speaker C: Oh, it's cracked. [00:18:18] Speaker E: It's cracked. [00:18:19] Speaker D: It's the new term. [00:18:20] Speaker C: The Val's perched there, she looks down at the crystals that are forming on her and she's going to kind of jump backwards off the pillar to move back to this northeast one and move into flanking with Sigurd. Flat footed strike. No, off guard strike. [00:18:43] Speaker F: Nice. [00:18:44] Speaker E: That's pretty good. [00:18:45] Speaker C: 42. [00:18:46] Speaker B: That is a critical hit. [00:18:47] Speaker E: Woohoo. Are they named this? [00:18:51] Speaker B: Not a nat. 20. This one is a giant. Oh, that's true. [00:18:55] Speaker E: What? [00:18:55] Speaker B: This one is John's Jones. [00:18:57] Speaker A: Jones? [00:18:58] Speaker C: Dr. John's Dr. Jones. [00:19:00] Speaker A: The worm? [00:19:02] Speaker B: Indiana Jones. [00:19:05] Speaker E: He's from Indiana? [00:19:07] Speaker B: Yes. [00:19:08] Speaker A: No, he's from Ohio. [00:19:10] Speaker E: Is this a telemarketer? [00:19:12] Speaker C: 6 cold damage, straight up. If that even matters. [00:19:15] Speaker B: All right. [00:19:15] Speaker C: And I have a deadly D8. 42 damage. Slashing damage. [00:19:21] Speaker B: Nice. [00:19:22] Speaker E: Is this on the north one? [00:19:23] Speaker C: Yes. [00:19:23] Speaker B: All right. You gash into it and just like a chunk of ice just comes off from your glaive. [00:19:30] Speaker E: From the glaive. [00:19:32] Speaker B: From the strike of the glaive. [00:19:36] Speaker E: Your glaive is made of ice, my boy. [00:19:38] Speaker A: It is now. [00:19:39] Speaker E: Is that why you have cold damage? [00:19:40] Speaker C: Take another swing. Take another Swing feel pretty good. [00:19:43] Speaker E: Take another swing. [00:19:46] Speaker F: Take a better switch. [00:19:47] Speaker E: Yeah, that's not that great. Dude. [00:19:51] Speaker C: 23. [00:19:52] Speaker B: Yeah, that will miss. [00:19:53] Speaker C: Just my attack lens. Then Sigurd is going to attack with her jaw. Wait, Sigurd? Sigurd's the name. [00:20:01] Speaker E: Is it Sigourn or Sigurd? [00:20:03] Speaker F: We never know. [00:20:04] Speaker E: Do we know? [00:20:05] Speaker D: Well, we know it's not Siggy. [00:20:08] Speaker E: That's a whole different character. [00:20:09] Speaker C: Love to see it. [00:20:10] Speaker E: It's pretty good too. [00:20:11] Speaker D: I don't. [00:20:12] Speaker C: That is a 38. [00:20:13] Speaker B: That's a critical hit. Critical against an off guard AC. [00:20:19] Speaker E: Oh, math. [00:20:20] Speaker C: We are going to just tear this thing apart over here. [00:20:22] Speaker B: Do it. [00:20:23] Speaker C: All right, let's roll for it. [00:20:26] Speaker E: No. Did it just jump out of the box? Do you need another def. Here, roll softer. [00:20:34] Speaker D: My. [00:20:35] Speaker E: Maybe don't lose it. [00:20:36] Speaker C: 32 damage. [00:20:37] Speaker B: Wow, that's a strong burn. [00:20:39] Speaker E: That's a strong eight. [00:20:41] Speaker C: Eight times two plus eight times two. Well, eight times two, plus eight times two. [00:20:46] Speaker E: Okay. Times two times ten is confused over there. [00:20:50] Speaker A: I give up. [00:20:52] Speaker C: So 16 plus 16. No. [00:20:56] Speaker E: Is your turn. Is it over? [00:20:58] Speaker C: Still my turn. Technically, I can talk as much as I want to. The other day, Olivia and I were watching My turn. [00:21:08] Speaker B: Which brings us to the Southern ice worm, which. [00:21:13] Speaker D: He's got an accent. [00:21:14] Speaker B: Zafir, as Zafir had alluded to. [00:21:17] Speaker C: Why is that? [00:21:18] Speaker B: Hey, I had eluded this Alabama ice worm. [00:21:22] Speaker E: I'm sorry, the what? [00:21:23] Speaker A: Say that again. [00:21:25] Speaker E: The word Alabama. [00:21:28] Speaker B: This ice worm scoots up to the stone pillar and just snake, like, just skitters up the side of it. Ew. And just as its mouth comes up over the edge, it rears back, breathes in, and unleashes. On this line between Zafir and Uvaire, a blast of freezing shards of razor sharp ice. I'm going to need each of you to give me a reflex saving throw. [00:21:56] Speaker E: That doesn't sound like fun. [00:21:58] Speaker D: That would be 31. [00:21:59] Speaker B: Okay. [00:22:00] Speaker A: Uvaire, 22. [00:22:02] Speaker B: Zafir, you get a regular success. And Uvaire, you get a regular faith. [00:22:07] Speaker C: Hold on one minute. I'm gonna use a second focus point to do Champions of Sacrifice for Uberegan. [00:22:15] Speaker B: Okay, so zafir, you take 12 cold damage. Ouch. And Val will take 24 cold damage. [00:22:27] Speaker C: All right. [00:22:27] Speaker B: And then Zephyr, you will take 11 piercing damage. And Val will take 23 piercing damage. Where's this piercing damage from the shards of ice? [00:22:39] Speaker C: I am exactly bloodied. [00:22:42] Speaker B: Ooh, good thing it's now the ice worm. That's over by you. Your turn. The northern ice worm. [00:22:48] Speaker C: Eh, eh. [00:22:50] Speaker B: This ice worm is going to rear back its jaw and then just chomp down on Sigurd. [00:22:58] Speaker E: No. [00:23:00] Speaker B: With a 31. [00:23:02] Speaker C: That hit one over Sigurd's AC repentor. No, I can't because I used my reaction already. [00:23:09] Speaker F: You're so excited. [00:23:11] Speaker C: Both reaction. [00:23:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:23:14] Speaker D: That's rude. [00:23:14] Speaker C: Could I make him a friend of refuse anyway? [00:23:16] Speaker B: No. [00:23:17] Speaker F: Also, Sigrun's not in your area. [00:23:19] Speaker B: But Sigrun can take it here. But Sigurd can take 21 piercing damage. [00:23:25] Speaker C: She definitely can take 20. He's just over 100 health. [00:23:29] Speaker B: Yeah, it did not roll very well, but it's okay. [00:23:33] Speaker C: A turn. All right, who's next? [00:23:34] Speaker B: Nope, that was just the first action. With the second action, the ice room is going to just turn down and just burrow into the ice. [00:23:42] Speaker C: What? Where'd it go? [00:23:45] Speaker D: That is my least favorite Pokemon move. Like, get out of here, coward. [00:23:49] Speaker C: What am I supposed to do with my turn? [00:23:51] Speaker B: Alward, Your turn. [00:23:52] Speaker C: No, it didn't come back. [00:23:54] Speaker A: It has a minus 10 circumstance penalty. Don't forget. [00:23:57] Speaker B: It's true. This is true. [00:23:59] Speaker A: And it can attempt to escape with the DC25. [00:24:03] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:24:07] Speaker F: I know. I'm going to unleash myself psyche. I'm then going to cast another amped telekinetic projectile at the one I can see. Gonna use another hero point. I rolled a two. [00:24:20] Speaker E: Oh, buddy. [00:24:25] Speaker F: Every time. 29. [00:24:28] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:24:29] Speaker F: I don't believe you. [00:24:30] Speaker B: Because I narrated that this creature had climbed up on the pillar. And if you do not have any specific ability that dictates otherwise, you are off guard while climbing. [00:24:39] Speaker F: Oh. [00:24:40] Speaker E: Oh. [00:24:41] Speaker C: It's true. [00:24:42] Speaker F: Okay, I will accept it. [00:24:44] Speaker D: He also narrated that I would have been off guard if I had not gotten to the top of the ledge. [00:24:48] Speaker F: So I should have kept your D6s. I need 11 of them. [00:24:54] Speaker B: Well, maybe I should reconsider. [00:24:56] Speaker D: I'll just put that lid back on there. [00:24:58] Speaker A: Too late. [00:24:59] Speaker D: When do you think think D6s became like the norm gambling? [00:25:04] Speaker E: Long time ago. [00:25:05] Speaker D: But do you think they were the first one, or do you think they just became the most popular one? [00:25:09] Speaker E: I think they were probably the first. [00:25:10] Speaker B: They're the easiest to produce. [00:25:12] Speaker C: And the square easiest shaped too. Yeah, being just a simple square. [00:25:16] Speaker D: It's a good point. [00:25:16] Speaker C: I mean, cube. [00:25:18] Speaker A: I wasn't gonna say anything. [00:25:20] Speaker F: So because my psyche is unleashed, I deal just a base 12 damage with the telekinetic projectile. It adds up to 41 total. [00:25:31] Speaker E: Wow. [00:25:32] Speaker B: Wow. That has the pushing back. [00:25:35] Speaker F: Yes, because it's amped. [00:25:37] Speaker B: Go ahead and roll me 1d6 bludgeoning damage. As the ice worm is shoved off the pillar and slams onto the surface of the lake. [00:25:43] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:25:44] Speaker F: Three. [00:25:45] Speaker B: All right. [00:25:46] Speaker D: Get him away from me. [00:25:47] Speaker B: Yeah. This thing is not looking good. [00:25:50] Speaker F: And then for my last action, I'm going to do something I don't think I've ever done. But it's something based to my psychic is. I'm going to calculate threats, which I can only do when my psyche's unleashed. And it gives me a plus two circumstance bonus to ac and reflex saves until the beginning of my next turn. [00:26:09] Speaker C: Hey, that's cool. [00:26:11] Speaker B: Round three. Zafir. [00:26:13] Speaker D: So I. I did pull out my a bow. You did in the last turn. So arrow's gonna fly. And two, it's. Does it have a face? [00:26:27] Speaker B: Sure. [00:26:28] Speaker D: Well, it's gonna go into his face, and it's gonna be Flamin'. [00:26:30] Speaker F: Is it prone? [00:26:31] Speaker B: He is prone on the ground. Zafir, you are shooting him. [00:26:34] Speaker D: Yes. And I rolled a 12 for a total of 34. [00:26:38] Speaker B: Are you lacing any magic into this shot? Yes. [00:26:41] Speaker D: It's an ignition. Okay, Flamin boy. [00:26:45] Speaker B: And with a 34 to hit. That is a regular hit. [00:26:49] Speaker D: 15 regular arrow damage. 6. Flaming rune on the bow. 15, 15, 6, 36. 21 of that is fire damage. [00:27:02] Speaker B: Even before triggering his fire weakness. [00:27:06] Speaker E: Oh, who would have seen that with an ice worm? [00:27:10] Speaker F: Not me. [00:27:11] Speaker B: The arrow buries itself into the ice worm's face just as it's looking back reproachfully at alward to hiss. This arrow just into its head and it just begins to just melt into a puddle of water on the surface of the lake that starts to slowly just harden into a glaze. [00:27:28] Speaker D: Not gonna lie. I'm wondering what it tastes like. [00:27:30] Speaker C: Tripazard. [00:27:32] Speaker F: Well, that one's blue. [00:27:33] Speaker C: So? [00:27:33] Speaker F: It tastes like blue raspberry. [00:27:35] Speaker C: They don't have a wet floor. [00:27:36] Speaker E: Spain voltage. Okay, he's dead. Where'd the other one go? [00:27:40] Speaker B: Zafir, you have one action left. [00:27:42] Speaker D: Um, how to me jump into the puddle. I'm gonna recharge my spell strike. Because I forgot I had to do that. [00:27:50] Speaker B: Fair enough. [00:27:52] Speaker A: Uver outward. Fail this. [00:27:56] Speaker F: What? [00:27:56] Speaker A: Last time I did that, I ended up prone. Gravity. Well, you survived. [00:28:00] Speaker D: Not a. [00:28:02] Speaker C: Time. You're just getting pulled around. [00:28:04] Speaker A: You're tearing me apart. Party. I'm going to put the center next to Neros. [00:28:08] Speaker B: Hey. [00:28:09] Speaker F: What? [00:28:09] Speaker C: Oh, to pull allergies. [00:28:11] Speaker A: Well, 30ft, so give a 30 foot emanation. [00:28:15] Speaker B: Are you pulling Neros into the lake? [00:28:18] Speaker E: Why are you picking on me? [00:28:19] Speaker A: It goes to the center. People get pulled to towards the center. [00:28:23] Speaker C: So put the Sword on Nero so she can't get scooted. [00:28:27] Speaker F: Oh, that's a. That's perfect. [00:28:28] Speaker E: It's tearing her apart like a black hole. [00:28:31] Speaker A: You take no damage from this. You don't even get knocked prone. Well, you get move. If you critically fail the save. Critically fail the save? It's a reflex. You just get moved 30ft. [00:28:44] Speaker F: Okay, I will critically fail this thing. [00:28:46] Speaker A: You just get sucked by gravity. You two Neros, unless you want to make the save. [00:28:51] Speaker F: She's in the center. [00:28:52] Speaker E: I'm in the middle of it. [00:28:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:28:53] Speaker D: Where's she going to go? [00:28:54] Speaker A: Well, you're not quite in the. [00:28:55] Speaker E: Come to me, Alward. [00:28:57] Speaker F: Nero. [00:28:58] Speaker A: Yeah, that. That has to work that way. [00:29:00] Speaker E: Yeah, I just had my arms out ready to catch you. [00:29:03] Speaker F: You just hear Alward's voice booming around you, Nero. [00:29:08] Speaker E: Welcome to the Smart choice, the shore. [00:29:11] Speaker F: Thanks. [00:29:13] Speaker A: Final action. I pull out a scroll. [00:29:15] Speaker E: Okay, Neros, I'm going to delay. I don't have anything. I don't have a target. [00:29:24] Speaker C: All right, Val, I'm gonna use an action to keep flying, and I'm gonna fly all 40ft to the west. Then I'm gonna use an action to lay on hands to use my last spell. Focus point. [00:29:41] Speaker B: And that's what it sounds like. [00:29:42] Speaker C: I will. I will heal 36 hit points and get a bonus to my 8. Dc till my next turn. Then for my last action. You know. [00:29:54] Speaker D: No. [00:29:54] Speaker E: Enlighten us. [00:29:56] Speaker C: Do nothing. [00:29:58] Speaker B: That's fair. [00:29:59] Speaker C: That's fair's gonna move here 20ft to the west. I don't think I have anything else to do with my last action. [00:30:07] Speaker B: All right, Alward. [00:30:12] Speaker E: Okay. I don't like that we just skipped over the other ice worm. [00:30:17] Speaker D: Well, you know the Pokemon move, Dig? It has to go for two turns. [00:30:21] Speaker F: So here's the thing, Jordy. My psyche is currently unleashed. If I delay, does it end my psyche still? [00:30:28] Speaker B: It does. [00:30:31] Speaker F: Why you gotta do this? [00:30:32] Speaker C: Punch the ground. Just punch the ground. [00:30:34] Speaker B: Cracks appear everywhere. The ice worm pops out of the leak somewhere. [00:30:38] Speaker F: Yeah, I guess I'm gonna delay. I can't really do anything. Which ends my psyche. And I don't get to do anything cool. [00:30:44] Speaker B: And as your psyche dissipates, all y' all hear is just ice noises. [00:30:53] Speaker C: I don't think I sounds like that ice does. [00:30:56] Speaker A: It does actually. [00:30:57] Speaker E: It's actually pretty close. [00:30:59] Speaker D: It was pretty. Yeah. [00:31:00] Speaker B: And everything is still. [00:31:03] Speaker C: Let's just move on. Just. Let's just. Let's all just leave. [00:31:06] Speaker D: Y' all ever seen Jaws? [00:31:08] Speaker C: I bet it's gone forever. [00:31:10] Speaker E: I think the second someone starts walking on the Ice again. It's gonna pop up. [00:31:15] Speaker C: Oh, right. No one's on the ice right now except for Val. No, I'm flying above the ice. [00:31:20] Speaker D: Flying above. [00:31:21] Speaker B: I'm gonna go ahead and just say that initiative ends. [00:31:25] Speaker F: Ah. [00:31:26] Speaker A: Okay. [00:31:27] Speaker E: Get off the ice. [00:31:30] Speaker A: Okay. [00:31:31] Speaker B: I climb down onto the ice. [00:31:37] Speaker E: Hurts again. [00:31:38] Speaker D: Nothing happens after I see Uvair climb down. Zephyr also climbs down. That's right. I'm going to call him Zephyr from now on. [00:31:47] Speaker A: Please do. [00:31:48] Speaker F: It'll make it a lot easier to swap over. [00:31:50] Speaker E: I probably will still forget to call you Zephyr and call you Zafir. I'm sorry. [00:31:54] Speaker D: It's only because we've done this within a week of each other that I remember. [00:31:59] Speaker E: Get off the ice. [00:32:01] Speaker D: I'm on a rock. Wait, no. I climbed down. [00:32:04] Speaker E: Okay, get onto the ice and then get to shore. [00:32:06] Speaker F: Come here. [00:32:07] Speaker C: Can I just, like, fly up behind Zafir and put my hands, like, under his arms? [00:32:12] Speaker D: No, put me down. [00:32:14] Speaker C: Okay. [00:32:14] Speaker A: Put me down. [00:32:16] Speaker E: He has to consent to uppies. [00:32:17] Speaker D: Well, I was gonna try to ice skate, but it rolled a one. [00:32:20] Speaker F: Can he fall and just slide slowly to us? [00:32:23] Speaker D: It's only fair. [00:32:25] Speaker B: Sure. [00:32:26] Speaker D: I try to ice skate, and I follow my face and just glide the entire way there. [00:32:31] Speaker F: The squeegee noises the whole way. [00:32:34] Speaker C: As Val's coming over, she'll just, like, gracefully land down and kind of do a spin as she slides and skates the rest of the way over to the others. [00:32:42] Speaker D: Beautiful ouvere walks add insult to injury. I'm just like. [00:32:49] Speaker B: As Zafir is sliding along the lake, Lantern's just, like, hopping in front of him. Like, I forgot about that. [00:32:54] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, Curling. [00:33:00] Speaker B: Don't ask how it's doing it, it just is. [00:33:02] Speaker F: It's very talented. Are we going the right way still? [00:33:06] Speaker B: Lantern, it nods, looks across the lake and resumes hopping across the lake. [00:33:11] Speaker D: The opposite direction. [00:33:12] Speaker B: No, the same direction you've been going. [00:33:14] Speaker F: A mage hand is going to grab Zephyr by the scruff and start dragging him behind me. [00:33:19] Speaker D: I can stand up. [00:33:20] Speaker C: Did anyone take damage? [00:33:22] Speaker E: I did not. I was over on the shore. [00:33:26] Speaker A: You performed your role well. [00:33:29] Speaker C: Thanks. I'm going to pray for a bit and heal up. [00:33:32] Speaker D: I took a little bit of damage, but I. I think I'm good for now. [00:33:35] Speaker B: You continue across the lake and are not interrupted again. Back into the twisted dark forest. You continue following this hopping lantern down what's little more than a game trail or a foot trail. And before too long, you see in the distance another ramshackle, crooked construction building with a Little wisp of smoke curling up into the sky. [00:34:06] Speaker F: Is that where we need to be, little lantern? [00:34:10] Speaker B: It nods and then kind of hops off to the side of the path and gestures with its head like, go on, go on. [00:34:16] Speaker A: Is she aware of our presence? [00:34:18] Speaker B: It nods. [00:34:19] Speaker A: Is this another trap? [00:34:21] Speaker B: It waves its head side to side like, eh, it could be. [00:34:25] Speaker A: Is she evil? [00:34:26] Speaker B: It nods. [00:34:27] Speaker E: Oh, all right. [00:34:28] Speaker C: Are there traps generally laid out around her home? [00:34:31] Speaker B: It looks, kind of looks around. Shakes its head. [00:34:36] Speaker E: Okay, no traps, evil witch. [00:34:40] Speaker A: Then it's safe, little sprite. [00:34:42] Speaker B: It nods. [00:34:44] Speaker E: Great time. [00:34:46] Speaker D: We could keep him here just in case we need to get back.
