[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part, such as, like, comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:30] Speaker B: Now, where did we leave off? Ah, yes. Hamius split away from the others to search upstairs for his daughter, hiding himself in a private room. Meanwhile, as Uber searched the building's library, Zafir walked in on him just in time to see a creature poised to attack. [00:00:58] Speaker A: We've seen across the spider Verse. [00:01:00] Speaker C: Don't spoil it. [00:01:01] Speaker D: We won't. [00:01:02] Speaker A: We won't. [00:01:02] Speaker D: We don't do spoiler reviews here. [00:01:04] Speaker A: No. [00:01:04] Speaker E: So in the very last minute, me. [00:01:06] Speaker D: And Sven, at least I think just the two of us and Nolan over there in the corner, have all seen across the Spider Verse. I know this date's the episode again, but we've done that before. [00:01:17] Speaker A: Sven, what were your honestly, like, I watched the first one, right? [00:01:23] Speaker D: What? [00:01:23] Speaker A: I watched the first. [00:01:24] Speaker E: Why would you watch the first one before the second? [00:01:26] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. I watched the first Spider Man. I loved it. I thought it was a great new take on the story, the Spider man story. The second. Know, sometimes the second movies don't quite hit the hype of the first one. This one almost far exceeded, I wouldn't say sometimes. [00:01:41] Speaker D: I'd say most of the time. [00:01:42] Speaker A: You're right. [00:01:43] Speaker D: Most of the time aren't the same. [00:01:44] Speaker A: This one, though. Oh, my goodness. Oh, I loved it. I love the cinematography. [00:01:50] Speaker E: I love the music. [00:01:53] Speaker D: Well, I think part of it, they had three directors for it. [00:01:56] Speaker F: Really? [00:01:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:01:57] Speaker D: So they handled different parts of the movies. As far as I'm aware, they worked really well together. I thought so, too. [00:02:01] Speaker C: I didn't know this about the Tobey Maguire Spider man sequel, but no, I. [00:02:05] Speaker D: Loved the art style. They went to multiple universes, and the art styles changed completely. [00:02:09] Speaker A: Well, that's a spoiler. [00:02:11] Speaker D: No, it's not. [00:02:11] Speaker A: No, it's all across the spoiler. [00:02:16] Speaker D: The music changed for where they were. They had different instruments in different styles. Moonbatten was amazing. [00:02:22] Speaker G: The last, like, 15 to 20 minutes. [00:02:24] Speaker A: Of that movie had me on the edge of my seat. [00:02:28] Speaker D: It's not always easy where I said, to make a sequel better, but to make a sequel that is a part one of a part two and make it feel like I might think it's better than the first one, even though the story is not complete yet. [00:02:40] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:02:41] Speaker D: Is crazy. [00:02:42] Speaker E: That's what happens with Star Wars. The Star Wars Episode Five. [00:02:46] Speaker C: It's very cool, and I'm glad that it's good. But it just means in part two, they can fall flat on their face and it ruins part one. [00:02:53] Speaker A: It is true. I hope not. I truly hope not. [00:02:57] Speaker C: I sincerely hate part one movies. In part two movies, even if they're good, I don't like them. Just make the movie. [00:03:04] Speaker E: So you want to watch, like, a five hour movie? [00:03:06] Speaker C: Yeah, if it's good, I would sit down and watch a five hour movie. [00:03:09] Speaker E: What if it's not good? [00:03:10] Speaker C: Then I sat down and watched a five hour movie, and I didn't like it. [00:03:13] Speaker D: I think there are examples of ones that kind of do that really well. I mean, while I'm not huge on a lot of the MCU stuff, they had, Infinity War stood on its own pretty well for being a part one. [00:03:23] Speaker C: Well. So sequel baiting, in my opinion, is different than having a part one and part two, where Infinity War was a part one, was technically, but it still felt like it told a complete story. And then when it picked up the next time, it was like that. [00:03:37] Speaker D: I think this one did a good job of several. If you had, like, I'd say 80, maybe 70% of kind of some stuff they set up was paid off by the end of the movie. Yeah, they had enough leftover to keep going into the second to keep paying off more. [00:03:53] Speaker E: They did also announce the movie as a parter. [00:03:57] Speaker D: Yeah, that helps. [00:03:58] Speaker E: Like, Dune, like, you went in and was like, oh, it's a two parter. [00:04:02] Speaker D: Which I know you feel the same way about. Dune, part one too much. [00:04:05] Speaker C: Zendaya. [00:04:08] Speaker D: I don't know. [00:04:09] Speaker C: I really, really wanted to like Dune Part One, and I still bounce back and forth on if I like it or not. [00:04:15] Speaker D: Well, hopefully with the second part, it'll be a nice, long, complete movie, as. [00:04:20] Speaker A: Long as they truly close up the story. Because I don't mind having a two part movie or a two part story actually is a better way of phrasing it. I don't mind a two part story if they truly keep it to two parts and just close it up, because. [00:04:33] Speaker C: Like I said, I don't mind sequel baiting. I want my movie to be a movie and where I don't have to wait six months to watch another one to get closure. [00:04:42] Speaker D: Fair enough. [00:04:44] Speaker A: I think it's just, you have to keep in mind the fact of the time it takes to make these movies nowadays. [00:04:48] Speaker C: No, and I know, I fully understand that. [00:04:50] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:04:51] Speaker E: I think streaming services have really ruined our perception of creation of content. [00:04:56] Speaker C: They have. [00:04:57] Speaker E: Because now everybody just dumps a whole series of, like, 10 hours of content all at once. You got to keep up the hype. You got to wait. You got to stay patient. It's even, like with a podcast, every week it comes out, and it just brings the hype of what's going to happen next. [00:05:15] Speaker B: Speaking of which, we left off at a really interesting moment last time. I believe somebody was in a really sticky. Ah, yeah, Hamir, you are hiding in a closet upstairs. [00:05:29] Speaker D: I'm getting real tired of this. Haymir's gonna leave. I think his patience is running out. [00:05:36] Speaker B: As you're standing up, kind of stretching out your stiff legs from just kind of crouching behind a box for, like, ten minutes, you hear the door latch on, the bedroom door open. [00:05:47] Speaker D: He will slink back and wait and. [00:05:52] Speaker B: Watch so you can't see into the room from the closet. Are you going to kind of sneak around the corner so you can see in? [00:05:58] Speaker D: Yeah, at this point, I'll start moving in. [00:06:00] Speaker B: Okay, go ahead and make me two checks. I need a stealth and a perception. [00:06:04] Speaker D: Not again. I've already rolled my stealth. Just keep my really high stealth. [00:06:08] Speaker B: This is a new person. [00:06:09] Speaker C: I feel like this should be a secret roll. [00:06:12] Speaker B: Jenkins. [00:06:15] Speaker E: Bottle cap. [00:06:16] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. [00:06:19] Speaker C: Wait, you rolled really well, too. [00:06:21] Speaker B: Go ahead and do that as your perception, and I'll roll your secret stealth. [00:06:24] Speaker D: I rolled two rolls. [00:06:26] Speaker B: Oh, use the good one for your perception. [00:06:28] Speaker D: 26. [00:06:30] Speaker B: Okay. [00:06:31] Speaker A: He rolled the blue dice. [00:06:33] Speaker B: So, hey, mirror, you slink out of the closet and around the corner like a snake, and you're, like, at the doorway to where you can look around into that workshop room. And into the room walks a woman who appears to have Elvish blood, though she doesn't seem to be full elf. And two other women, both of them are wearing masks that are like blue lizards. [00:07:01] Speaker D: Oh, boy. All right, I have to decide how to do this. [00:07:03] Speaker E: Wait, are the women lizards, or are the masks the lizards? [00:07:06] Speaker B: The masks are of. [00:07:07] Speaker D: Wait. Oh, wait, they're all wearing masks. [00:07:09] Speaker B: The woman is not. The Elvish woman is not. There are two women with her that are wearing masks of blue lizards. [00:07:16] Speaker D: Okay, Hamir is going to step in and just kind of be like, Dais. That was her name, right? What was her name? [00:07:29] Speaker B: My home girl. [00:07:31] Speaker D: He's gonna Daitha, I presume. [00:07:34] Speaker B: And all three of them just turn and look at you. The two in masks raise up their hands suddenly, like, in combat stance. Yeah. Not like a martial arts combat stance, but more like they're ready to do something. [00:07:47] Speaker D: They don't know what yet. [00:07:48] Speaker B: Yeah, but the unmasked, like, Elvish woman, just looks at you calmly and is like, can I help you. [00:07:57] Speaker D: I'm looking for someone. I was told you might have seen her recently. [00:08:06] Speaker B: Hamir, I presume. [00:08:08] Speaker D: He'll take off his mask. Yes, and he's like, I'm not here to cause trouble. I just want to find her. [00:08:16] Speaker B: You and your daughter have the same tattoo. [00:08:19] Speaker D: So you did see her. Where is she? [00:08:22] Speaker B: I think I might be the one asking the questions here. Where did you get your tattoo? [00:08:30] Speaker D: What? The tattoo. It's a family thing. I didn't want to get it, but my wife said it would be good to keep it going. My daughter has the same. [00:08:47] Speaker B: That explains a lot. Please take a seat. And she gestures to a chair. [00:08:53] Speaker D: I'd rather stand if I could. I don't want to cause trouble, but I don't want to be at your mercy, either. [00:09:02] Speaker B: Very well. She kind of makes a dismissive gesture with her hands, and the two women who are wearing the lizard masks kind of like, just relax and just kind of take a couple of steps back. [00:09:14] Speaker D: So what's going on? What is this? [00:09:19] Speaker B: This is my workshop. [00:09:21] Speaker D: I don't care about that. Where's my daughter? Unless this has something to do with her, in which case I would appreciate an answer. [00:09:29] Speaker B: Oh, no. She doesn't have any proclivity for the type of work that we are doing here. She came to me and asked for some information. Don't worry. She's not involved in any of this. She just gestures broadly around her. [00:09:48] Speaker D: That's good, I suppose. What did she come to ask you for? Where's she going? [00:09:56] Speaker B: Do you really want to know? [00:09:58] Speaker D: That's all I want to know. [00:10:02] Speaker B: I sent her on to Sojourner's rest. [00:10:05] Speaker D: Sojourner's rest? Isn't that a tavern or an inn that we stayed at? [00:10:09] Speaker B: It's a settlement in the grungeir forest. [00:10:11] Speaker E: Oh. Everything leads to the forest. [00:10:16] Speaker C: Not yet, Budy. [00:10:17] Speaker B: It is a normal settlement. It is not the Faye City well Forest. [00:10:24] Speaker D: That's a dangerous place. What is she wanting there? What's she looking for that I promised. [00:10:32] Speaker B: Not to tell you. [00:10:35] Speaker D: Wait. You promised her not to tell me? [00:10:38] Speaker B: She nods. [00:10:39] Speaker D: Does she know I'm looking for her? [00:10:42] Speaker B: She doesn't know, but she had wondered. [00:10:48] Speaker D: All right, then. Out of curiosity's sake, before I leave, what is this stuff you seemed willing to tell me a second ago. [00:11:01] Speaker B: She picks up one of the crystals off of a workbench spirit stone. I presume you'd seen some before. [00:11:07] Speaker D: Spirit Stone? Oh, wait. Those are little spheres. [00:11:13] Speaker B: Yes. It's the same substance that Alward has that was given to him. [00:11:20] Speaker D: Yeah, I've seen some of those. I might have delivered one before. I'm not one for spirits. I got too many of those. [00:11:29] Speaker B: It's an interesting name for a most curious substance. Has all manner of uses. [00:11:36] Speaker D: Amir kind of grabs at his chest for a second, and on his arm there's like that bulging, like something moving underneath it again. [00:11:47] Speaker B: Are you feeling unwell? [00:11:52] Speaker D: Not any worse than I normally feel. So what does that do, that stuff? [00:11:59] Speaker B: It will become clear in time. [00:12:03] Speaker D: All right. One of those. [00:12:07] Speaker H: It. [00:12:08] Speaker D: He kind of clutches at his arm again as the skin kind of starts to part as. What did you describe that thing as? [00:12:19] Speaker B: Like a carapace covered, sort of like insectile arm, but it's like, on the scale of human. [00:12:26] Speaker D: Yeah, that starts coming out of. Adjacent to my elbow. And Hamir kind of lets out, just like. [00:12:38] Speaker B: Both of the women with the masks kind of, like, stagger back a bit. But Datho just seems completely unfazed, so. [00:12:46] Speaker D: He'S kind of feeling that. And some of the mist kind of starts coming out of his mouth a bit like I had before. [00:12:53] Speaker B: My. It looks like you have been tampering with things well beyond your understanding. [00:12:59] Speaker D: Just means to an end. [00:13:04] Speaker B: I'm sure you tell yourself that. [00:13:09] Speaker D: What was that supposed to mean? [00:13:13] Speaker B: Those who dabble in power without understanding soon find themselves the instruments of power. [00:13:21] Speaker D: I've been a puppet long enough. I don't intend to let this get farther than that. [00:13:28] Speaker B: Indeed. [00:13:31] Speaker D: Well, this has been great now, but I think I need to get going to that place. [00:13:40] Speaker B: Sojourner's rest. [00:13:41] Speaker D: Sojourner's rest, right. I'll be making my leave now. [00:13:47] Speaker B: Are you, though? And with that, we'll cut back down to what's happening downstairs. [00:13:58] Speaker C: That's rude. [00:13:59] Speaker B: And, Uber, could you go ahead and make me a perception check for your initiative role? Oh, that's not good. Eleven. [00:14:15] Speaker H: I'm out in the trap, so let's. [00:14:19] Speaker B: Go ahead and pick this up. As Zafir, you've looked into the room, you've seen this thing on the ceiling. It's just getting ready to let go of the ceiling, but it hasn't done so yet. I'll give you a quick description just so you can kind of visualize what this thing is. It's like a scrawny humanoid figure rendered entirely in stone with the classic, like, bat wings of a gargoyle and clawed fingertips. And in the front of its head is a large blue gemstone. [00:14:51] Speaker E: Well, that doesn't seem too bad. [00:14:52] Speaker B: And you go first. [00:14:54] Speaker E: Lovely. [00:14:55] Speaker D: You should just close the door. [00:14:58] Speaker C: I thought about that, but I just not my problem. [00:15:02] Speaker E: Oh, you mean close the door and just please. [00:15:08] Speaker A: It's open. [00:15:09] Speaker E: Would door closing be a part of action economy? [00:15:12] Speaker B: Yeah, it would be an interactive action to close the door. [00:15:14] Speaker E: Okay, then I am not going to do that. How far away is he? [00:15:18] Speaker B: He is 25ft away from you when you take into account that he's on the ceiling. [00:15:23] Speaker E: No, I mean, how far is fen? I mean, Uvair. I mean, lacrosse. [00:15:31] Speaker A: But Uvair works. [00:15:33] Speaker B: Uber is 25ft away from you as well, because he is on the ground. [00:15:36] Speaker E: Okay, perfect. I am going to run directly at him, and I am going to, at that 25 foot mark, just slap him in the back. Not even going to say anything. And cast shattering Gem. [00:15:53] Speaker H: Nice. [00:15:54] Speaker E: And that's all I can really do. [00:15:57] Speaker B: As you reach out and you tap Uvair and that crystal. As you slap Uvair and the crystal begins to just formulate around him and begins hovering around him. Uvair's, like, reacting in shock as we heard. And this creature just drops out of the ceiling and makes a swipe at Uvair on its way down. Uber, what's your armor? [00:16:16] Speaker A: Class 18. [00:16:19] Speaker B: That's a critical hit. [00:16:21] Speaker A: But the crystal, you got to make the crystal roll. [00:16:24] Speaker B: Go ahead and roll that interposing crystal. Check for me, petite. [00:16:28] Speaker E: That is a natural 20. [00:16:30] Speaker C: Nice. So the gem blocks the attack. [00:16:33] Speaker B: So this stone creature drops out of the ceiling with this devastatingly accurate claw. It's, like, right about to go at Uvair's neck, and the crystal just slides in the way. And the gargoyle creature just slashes through the crystal. It worked. 26. Damage absorbed by that crystal. Oh, my God. [00:16:52] Speaker E: And that means it shatters. That's crazy damage. It does. [00:16:58] Speaker B: 26. [00:16:59] Speaker D: Yes. [00:17:00] Speaker B: I take 21. [00:17:02] Speaker D: Is that bloodied? Are you bloodied? Not yet. [00:17:06] Speaker C: But how much damage does it take? [00:17:08] Speaker E: One D eight slashing. [00:17:10] Speaker B: All right, go ahead and roll your slashing damage, and I'll make my reflex save. [00:17:13] Speaker A: I'm almost bloodied. [00:17:15] Speaker C: You are a tanky wizard. [00:17:17] Speaker A: I got 50 hp. [00:17:19] Speaker B: Tanky wizard, what's your DC? [00:17:22] Speaker E: I believe it's 19. [00:17:24] Speaker B: So a regular success. So I'll take half damage three. And the shattering crystal like sparks off of the hardened outside. And it doesn't seem to do much damage. [00:17:35] Speaker E: He probably took none. [00:17:37] Speaker D: I said some, maybe one. [00:17:40] Speaker B: And then it will turn to Zafir with its other claw and swipe out at him. Good luck. Oh, he needed it. He misses. [00:17:50] Speaker D: You never know. They might be taking prisoners. They might not kill you guys. [00:17:55] Speaker B: And then he is going to hop up on the desk next to Uber and just kind of walk across the books and interpose himself between. So Uvair is between this creature and Zephyr trying to get distance from Zafir. It is now Uvair's turn. [00:18:13] Speaker A: Okay, where the heck is this thing? [00:18:15] Speaker B: It's up on the desk, but it's, like, right next to you. [00:18:18] Speaker A: Uvair is going to just look at Zafir after taking that massive blow. [00:18:24] Speaker G: Thank you. But we need to run, and he's. [00:18:26] Speaker D: Going to cast warp step into the crowded area. [00:18:33] Speaker A: What? [00:18:33] Speaker C: Just going to run away from me? [00:18:36] Speaker B: I was just laughing at Petite's reaction. You're just going to leave me? [00:18:41] Speaker A: Well, I can't help you too much. [00:18:43] Speaker D: How do you know? You might have the one thing it needs to kill it. [00:18:47] Speaker A: I can't take another hit, buddy. [00:18:49] Speaker D: Roller gauntlet knowledge. [00:18:52] Speaker A: I can after I'm out of. [00:18:56] Speaker F: Now. [00:18:56] Speaker C: Do it now, and then run away. [00:18:59] Speaker A: And. Yeah, he's going to run towards the. [00:19:04] Speaker B: Door, which is still open. [00:19:06] Speaker E: Yes. [00:19:07] Speaker B: With warp step, you'll be able to get out into the hallway, and if you should choose to do so, right up next to Neros and her guard. [00:19:14] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Like, right there, so I can still see in. [00:19:19] Speaker B: Okay, so, like, through the door, but still visibility into the library. [00:19:23] Speaker A: Right. [00:19:24] Speaker B: Okay. [00:19:25] Speaker A: And he is going to cast recall knowledge. Not cast recall knowledge. [00:19:29] Speaker B: I cast recall. [00:19:31] Speaker A: I cast recall knowledge. [00:19:33] Speaker D: Hyper fixation. [00:19:34] Speaker F: Now. [00:19:38] Speaker A: The look on your face does not fill me with hope. [00:19:43] Speaker B: Okay, so this is a standard gargoyle. They're commonly created by wizards, as, like, guardians and everything. Why this one is here, you don't know. But it's, like, a standard gargoyle. It's a level five creature. [00:19:57] Speaker D: What if this is like, just like they set the guard, they set the alarm of, like, if anyone comes in this room. So if you guys just leave, it just stops. [00:20:08] Speaker E: Ow. [00:20:08] Speaker B: And you have a question. [00:20:10] Speaker A: Resistances or immunities? [00:20:13] Speaker D: Which one? [00:20:14] Speaker A: Oh, can't have both immunities. [00:20:17] Speaker B: So it's got standard construct immunities, so it's immune to bleed, death, disease, doom, drain, fatigue, healing, mental effects, necromancy, non lethal, paralyzed, poison, sickened and unconscious. [00:20:27] Speaker E: Does that include frightening, frightened? [00:20:29] Speaker A: No. [00:20:30] Speaker B: Yes. [00:20:30] Speaker A: That's a mental. That's a mental effect. [00:20:32] Speaker F: Wait, was. That was resistances. [00:20:34] Speaker A: That was those immunities to no charm. [00:20:38] Speaker F: I don't want to charm the gargoyle. [00:20:40] Speaker A: That's my turn. Zafir, I have faith that you can run. [00:20:44] Speaker B: Albert, you're out in the main room talking to, right? [00:20:48] Speaker C: Kind of. [00:20:49] Speaker B: You're making your way towards the library. [00:20:51] Speaker D: He's kind of shell shocked. [00:20:52] Speaker C: Yeah, if I remember? Right. I sent him to the library and I was, lIke, going to go talk with people, but I'm probably waiting, like, keeping an eye out for them. But I don't know if I'd be right there. [00:21:06] Speaker B: So. Right about in the middle of the main room. [00:21:08] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:21:08] Speaker B: So, Alward, due to all the crowd, hasn't noticed Uber running out yet. But Neros you have, if you would like to react, you may do so now. [00:21:16] Speaker D: I don't know. You might ruin your chances with this guy. [00:21:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:21:19] Speaker A: Does the guard notice, too? [00:21:21] Speaker B: The guard has his back to the library. That is true. [00:21:24] Speaker C: Send the guard. [00:21:25] Speaker B: This has been established. [00:21:26] Speaker F: Yes, I did talk to him. So his back was turned to the staircase. [00:21:30] Speaker D: That's great. [00:21:33] Speaker F: Look at him, just eyes wide. It's like, could you pardon me for one moment? [00:21:40] Speaker B: And the guard's like, oh, yeah, of course. [00:21:43] Speaker F: Don't worry, I'll be back. [00:21:44] Speaker B: And he kind of just straightens himself back up and goes back to guarding. Looks kind of disappointed, but I said I'd be back. [00:21:54] Speaker F: Darling, talking is a free action. [00:21:57] Speaker E: Yes. [00:21:57] Speaker B: So you have freely spoken to the guard and told him you'd be back. [00:22:01] Speaker F: I'm in a really awkward spot. [00:22:04] Speaker B: You are. You can see Uvair and you can see into the library, but you can't see any of the action that's happened in the library because that's all off around the corner in that room. [00:22:14] Speaker E: Just me dying. [00:22:15] Speaker F: Actually, I'm going to try and send the guard away. I'm going to ask him if he can go get me another drink and see if he'll leave. [00:22:31] Speaker B: And due to the amount of time you've spent talking to him and the rapport that you've developed, he's like, yeah, I'm sure that's fine. And he's going to head off towards the dining room to go get a drink. [00:22:42] Speaker F: Okay. [00:22:43] Speaker E: Dang. Should have done that for the stairs. [00:22:46] Speaker F: I didn't know him. [00:22:48] Speaker B: She's been talking to him for 15. [00:22:50] Speaker H: Minutes, rubbing his muscle. [00:22:56] Speaker D: Thanks. I tore that one two weeks ago. [00:22:59] Speaker E: Give him a little carry, that shoulder massage, that heavy drink with those strong arms. [00:23:05] Speaker D: My highly detailed musculature. [00:23:08] Speaker E: I got you a two liter, man. There you go. [00:23:11] Speaker F: Don't know if I need a two liter of alcohol, but now I will. [00:23:15] Speaker B: Say the talking was a free action, but he won't be gone until the end of your first action. So if you start moving or doing something in that first action, he will witness that. [00:23:26] Speaker F: That's true. I'm going to delay. [00:23:30] Speaker D: Solid, play golf. Golf claps. [00:23:34] Speaker F: I don't know if you're serious or not. I don't know if I should be offended or not. [00:23:39] Speaker C: No, it was a good play. [00:23:41] Speaker A: So, Zafir, nothing else you can do anyway. [00:23:43] Speaker E: Zafir doesn't have a lot of options. I mean, he has a bunch of options, but none of them would actually benefit him. I am going to run to the door. As we have established, it is exactly my speed. 25ft. Close the door and then just nonchalantly walk past Uvair. [00:24:04] Speaker D: So you just start whistling. [00:24:07] Speaker B: Yeah. The Return of the nonchalants. [00:24:12] Speaker E: Exactly. That is exactly what I'm going to do. [00:24:15] Speaker D: How to escape a gargoyle. [00:24:17] Speaker B: So you run out of the rim, you close the door and then you nonchalantly start walking down the hallway. [00:24:23] Speaker E: Exactly. [00:24:23] Speaker C: Such a good image. [00:24:26] Speaker B: Uber, you're still by the library door. [00:24:31] Speaker F: Yes, I am. [00:24:36] Speaker B: It is now your turn. [00:24:39] Speaker A: Uber is just going to be frozen, staring at the door for a moment. And then he's just realizing that this thing that can obviously smash the door if it wanted to, has not just takes a step back and then kind of shakily turns towards Zephyr near us and says. [00:25:10] Speaker G: Did anyone have like a healing potion or something and perhaps something that can cover this? [00:25:16] Speaker A: Any motions to the giant gash? Probably in his costume clothes. [00:25:23] Speaker E: I take off my corset. [00:25:28] Speaker D: That's a lot of work, man. [00:25:32] Speaker B: To. [00:25:32] Speaker F: Take off a corset. Have you ever taken off a corset? [00:25:35] Speaker E: Is it ribbon? It's a man corset. [00:25:37] Speaker C: Why are you taking it off? [00:25:39] Speaker F: Are we still in an issue? Cover up his. [00:25:41] Speaker B: Are you? [00:25:42] Speaker F: Oh my gosh, Jordy, I don't know. You're the GM. [00:25:46] Speaker E: I take off my corset and I do. [00:25:48] Speaker A: I'm not going back in the library. [00:25:50] Speaker B: Are you making measured time or are you relaxing in the hallway? It's up to you. [00:25:54] Speaker E: Well, I'm doing it as quickly as human, as fetchlingly as possible. [00:26:00] Speaker A: First question though. [00:26:01] Speaker G: Does anybody have a healing potion? [00:26:03] Speaker F: Yes, I do. Do you want a lesser or a minor healing potion? [00:26:11] Speaker G: One do. [00:26:12] Speaker F: One heals more than the other. [00:26:16] Speaker G: I am almost at half capacity of my fighting state. [00:26:22] Speaker A: I don't know how to say that. [00:26:23] Speaker D: Half of my blood is gone. [00:26:25] Speaker A: Half of My blood is gone. [00:26:25] Speaker F: You can have my lesser healing potion. Two D eight plus something. [00:26:33] Speaker C: I don't mean to jinx you, Sven, but for the sake of tension, I want you to roll low. For the sake of your character living, I need you to roll high. [00:26:43] Speaker A: 13 plus five. Is it five it is. [00:26:46] Speaker D: Okay, so 18 nice Neros comes prepared. [00:26:51] Speaker F: I do. [00:26:52] Speaker A: I'm now just two below Max. [00:26:56] Speaker E: I give you the shirt off my back. She gives you a drink. [00:27:04] Speaker C: One helps significantly more than the other. [00:27:07] Speaker F: Technically, it's not your shirt. It's a closet. [00:27:10] Speaker E: It's also true I exit the hallway with less clothes than I started with. [00:27:17] Speaker C: An Uber exits hallway with more clothes than you started with. [00:27:21] Speaker E: Compressed a digitation. Make it look better. [00:27:24] Speaker B: It can clean it up, but it wouldn't be able to repair the cloth. So the corset was a good idea. [00:27:30] Speaker E: Okay. [00:27:31] Speaker C: It would clean the blood. [00:27:32] Speaker E: I'm going to press to digitate his blood. [00:27:35] Speaker B: That works. And as you're finishing up the cleanup, cover up procedure with the prestige digitation with the corset. The guard comes back and he's got a drink in each hand, and he's like, are you guys still talking, or have you been aware and making sure? [00:27:51] Speaker G: Pardon me. I had a bit of a water of malfunction. [00:27:59] Speaker B: That happens. It happens. [00:28:01] Speaker E: Do not go into the library. There was no sign. [00:28:08] Speaker B: Is there a problem with the library? [00:28:10] Speaker E: Well, it's very disorganized. I mean, I don't know where anything is. Oh, well, see, I have trouble with books. [00:28:21] Speaker B: I'd better take a look. [00:28:23] Speaker E: I just said don't go. [00:28:25] Speaker B: And he's like, miss, would you mind holding these? Whom? I don't know. [00:28:31] Speaker F: The name's Freya. [00:28:33] Speaker B: Ah, Miss Freya. And he winks at you. Would you hold these? [00:28:38] Speaker A: Vera just kind of looks at Zafir. [00:28:41] Speaker B: Like, why would you. Never mind. [00:28:44] Speaker F: Am I sending him in there? [00:28:46] Speaker E: I tried to keep him from going in, but he wants you. [00:28:49] Speaker D: You could just pull him back to you. [00:28:51] Speaker E: I could Uber. [00:28:53] Speaker A: Just looks at Zafir, looks at Nero's, and just like, I think I need. [00:29:00] Speaker G: To go get a drink as well. [00:29:02] Speaker A: And just kind of walks away. [00:29:05] Speaker E: I go with you. [00:29:07] Speaker F: Thought of something. So as he goes to hand me the drink, and he's, like, heading toward the library, I stop him. It's like, hold on, hold on. I know that one. And he loves libraries, and he's probably made a mess. It's probably all it is. I wouldn't mess with it. It's not worth your time. [00:29:26] Speaker B: Well, I mean, got to make it look like I'm doing my job. [00:29:35] Speaker E: Can you just, like, open the door, shove him in and then close the door? He wants to go in. [00:29:41] Speaker F: I'm not sacrificing the guard to the guard. [00:29:44] Speaker E: Have you really made a bond with this? [00:29:48] Speaker F: Yes. [00:29:49] Speaker B: No. [00:29:49] Speaker F: Neros just doesn't want suspicion to land on us. [00:29:54] Speaker E: Well, we didn't do anything. [00:29:55] Speaker F: I know, but it's kind of weird that you guys come out of the library and then you're like, don't go in there. [00:30:00] Speaker E: Well, that was my bad. I own up to that. [00:30:04] Speaker A: Well, too late. [00:30:06] Speaker C: What's his name? [00:30:07] Speaker E: We don't know. [00:30:08] Speaker H: He wants biceps. [00:30:09] Speaker B: He appears in the credits as guard with biceps. [00:30:12] Speaker A: Guard with biceps. [00:30:12] Speaker D: That's what his name's actually. [00:30:15] Speaker A: Guard with biceps. [00:30:15] Speaker D: Wibb's life is in your hands. [00:30:18] Speaker F: Who? [00:30:19] Speaker D: Guard with biceps. Guard with GWB. [00:30:23] Speaker F: Neros knows what she has to do. [00:30:25] Speaker B: So good has handed you the two drinks and you're, you know, you don't have to. And he's like, well, gotta make it look like I'm doing my job. And he's turning around to head to the library. [00:30:34] Speaker F: I'm going to set the drinks on the table that previously I set a drink or set a glass on, and I'm going to grab him by his shoulder, turn around and plant one on. [00:30:46] Speaker C: Do it to save this man's life. [00:30:49] Speaker A: Save the muscly man. [00:30:53] Speaker B: Quib is surprised, but he does not resist. [00:30:58] Speaker D: It was super effective. [00:31:01] Speaker B: Is no longer attempting to go to the library. [00:31:05] Speaker F: Oh, Nero. Why? More like, oh, severe, severe, severe, severe. [00:31:14] Speaker E: You can call me that. [00:31:19] Speaker C: Would I notice them walking away now? [00:31:21] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. As this is happening with Gwib and Neros in the hallway, Zafir and Uvair have walked by and Alward, you easily notice that suddenly Zafir is no longer wearing a corset. And then you notice that Uvair is wearing a corset and his shirt is torn. [00:31:38] Speaker C: I'm going to just take a mental note of that. Actually, no, I'm going to follow them because Alwood already thinks something is up and he needs to know if something is up. [00:31:50] Speaker E: Would you like to join us at the quiche table? [00:31:54] Speaker G: I think I need a drink. [00:31:56] Speaker E: You've already had three vodkas. [00:32:01] Speaker F: We establish that the rest of them were virgin cocktails. [00:32:05] Speaker A: Yes, one vodka, two virgin cocktails. Thank you. [00:32:08] Speaker E: I can't read. I don't know what drinks are. This could be a little tart for all I know. It's not a quiche. [00:32:16] Speaker C: You haven't been eating quiche this whole time. It's a raspberry tart. So why is he wearing your corset? [00:32:26] Speaker G: There was an incident in the library. [00:32:29] Speaker C: What kind of incident? [00:32:32] Speaker G: There was a gargoyle. It didn't come out of the library when we ran out, but it hits hard. [00:32:40] Speaker C: What time is it? [00:32:41] Speaker B: It is now 740. [00:32:44] Speaker E: I closed my eyes and listened for the bark. [00:32:47] Speaker C: How far away. Can you get away from your thing that you placed 100ft? [00:32:54] Speaker B: I think you hear crowd noises. That's what the subtitles read. Crowd noises. [00:32:59] Speaker C: It's very obvious. I think that they know we're here and they know who we are. At least the ones who need to. I don't know if it's safe for us to stay, but if we leave now, we won't get any information. [00:33:12] Speaker G: If we leave now, then we're leaving Hamir. [00:33:15] Speaker C: I think we do the same. I think we should stay. [00:33:19] Speaker E: Just don't go to other rooms. [00:33:21] Speaker G: I think it'll be fine since whenever they turn on us, we're in the middle of a crowd. [00:33:27] Speaker C: Has anybody alerted Neros to this? [00:33:30] Speaker E: I'm sure she as a friend knows. [00:33:32] Speaker G: The fact of what's happened. [00:33:34] Speaker C: I turn, peek around. It looks like she's very preoccupied right now. [00:33:39] Speaker G: She's saving Zagod's life. [00:33:42] Speaker C: I think she's doing a little more than that. [00:33:43] Speaker F: I think it's the kiss of life. [00:33:46] Speaker E: This is the longest kiss I've ever seen. [00:33:52] Speaker A: Staring just glances back and just. If you can see under his mask that he's still wearing his eyebrows just go up and down. [00:34:02] Speaker B: I would like to interject the mask that you described for us at the beginning. Abby. I don't think that that mask would allow for kissing while being worn. [00:34:13] Speaker E: I think that it would be just a kiss. But the mask would like push up. [00:34:18] Speaker C: Just a little bit. [00:34:19] Speaker E: Just a little. Enough for the. [00:34:21] Speaker F: No. [00:34:22] Speaker B: So I think she's got the mask kind of offset so it's still obscuring the upper half, but it's precarious at this point. [00:34:30] Speaker E: You just become a little discombobulated. [00:34:31] Speaker B: Really? Journey. [00:34:32] Speaker D: You're going to use that against us? [00:34:33] Speaker F: Really? [00:34:34] Speaker D: You're going to use the designs of our masks against us? [00:34:36] Speaker F: Really? [00:34:38] Speaker B: I think this makes it more interesting. [00:34:39] Speaker D: I'm never going to a masquerade party. [00:34:41] Speaker F: With you again to keep people from kissing other people. [00:34:46] Speaker A: To be honest, I don't think the guard's paying much attention. [00:34:49] Speaker C: I don't think the guard cares at this point. I think if we need to leave. Hey, Mayor, we probably should. Again, I don't think he cares about us at all. [00:35:00] Speaker G: I don't want. [00:35:00] Speaker C: If you can alert Neros to the situation. [00:35:03] Speaker E: Wait, what am I telling her? [00:35:05] Speaker C: That we have been found out. Like they know. [00:35:08] Speaker E: I don't think we have. [00:35:10] Speaker C: Alward's very paranoid. [00:35:13] Speaker G: Why do you think that they found us, Alward? [00:35:15] Speaker E: I mean, Howard, I think you're a bit paranoid at this point. I don't think we've been found out. [00:35:20] Speaker C: The library. Everyone was told to leave except for me, and then he entered and got attacked. [00:35:28] Speaker E: Well, maybe they were just telling people, you're not supposed to be in here. [00:35:33] Speaker F: Who just sets up? [00:35:34] Speaker E: Maybe it's because he opened the books. I don't know. [00:35:36] Speaker C: He was does that. I'm going to kill you for opening up my book. [00:35:39] Speaker E: He had his books. The books open. I have a feeling they were just. Did anybody have books open when you were in there? [00:35:46] Speaker C: Yes. [00:35:48] Speaker E: That shoots my theory down. [00:35:50] Speaker G: The books that I had opened were books that were in concordance with the books that we found about erred. This is the most complete collection of his history that I have found. That we have found. That I have found. I guess. I don't know. [00:36:05] Speaker C: Do you still have them? [00:36:07] Speaker G: I didn't have time. [00:36:08] Speaker B: I kind of got attacked when Uvair ran out of the room. The gargoyle was standing on those books. [00:36:14] Speaker E: I mean, we could go back, but I wouldn't guarantee anyone's safety. [00:36:20] Speaker C: I will leave it alone. But just be careful. [00:36:24] Speaker E: Let's just mingle. Stay together, but mingle. And if we see anything that could potentially be a threat, we will leave. Sound good? [00:36:42] Speaker G: I think it is wise that we be more on guard. [00:36:47] Speaker C: You guys weren't on guard this whole time. [00:36:50] Speaker G: More on guard. [00:36:52] Speaker E: You should be talking to yourself. I mean, I went into a library. [00:36:57] Speaker G: I didn't know that they would have a creature of that sort guarding the books. [00:37:02] Speaker E: I need to send a message to Nero. [00:37:05] Speaker C: You do that. I'm going to go back to what I was doing. I suppose we need a better way to stay in contact than him just messaging us. [00:37:13] Speaker G: Do you have a better faith? [00:37:14] Speaker C: Not right now. [00:37:15] Speaker E: Let's just stick together. Hear us. [00:37:22] Speaker B: Nessa. [00:37:23] Speaker H: Fear. [00:37:26] Speaker B: I presume when this message is being sent that the kissage is still ongoing. [00:37:32] Speaker F: Probably. [00:37:35] Speaker H: Bling. [00:37:37] Speaker F: It's a makeout session. They're just making out in the hallway. Leave them alone. [00:37:41] Speaker E: Quit doing what you're doing and stick with us. [00:37:49] Speaker H: Quit sucking face. [00:37:53] Speaker C: I like to imagine that came in, like, 2 seconds after nothing changed. [00:37:57] Speaker F: Just ignoring you completely. [00:38:02] Speaker H: Oh, my gosh. [00:38:03] Speaker B: We get a quick shot. That's not from anybody's perspective of just looking down the hallway. Which is now completely empty. Except for the two of you. This one person walks in and then quickly just pivots and walks back out. [00:38:16] Speaker E: That guy's getting fired. [00:38:20] Speaker F: Is probably getting fired. [00:38:22] Speaker E: Which is exactly why you should have thrown him into the room. [00:38:24] Speaker F: No. [00:38:25] Speaker D: Better to die than he fired. [00:38:27] Speaker E: Spare him the firing. [00:38:30] Speaker F: Firing squad. [00:38:31] Speaker E: So we've got about 20 minutes. Where's Haymir? [00:38:38] Speaker G: That is something we don't know. [00:38:40] Speaker E: We. [00:38:41] Speaker G: Presumably because Neros is by the guard. Even that way. [00:38:46] Speaker E: I messaged Neros again. [00:38:49] Speaker H: Where's Amir? [00:38:51] Speaker E: I make the most disgusting noise to just try to lock you out of it. [00:38:59] Speaker C: I'm pretty sure she can't reply right now. [00:39:06] Speaker B: You. [00:39:12] Speaker E: If I catch her off guard, maybe she'll just be like, no. [00:39:16] Speaker C: Even, like, beyond that. [00:39:17] Speaker F: Oh, no. Seem like she's, like, disgusted by it. [00:39:21] Speaker E: Even. [00:39:22] Speaker C: Beyond that, let's say she stops making out with this guy and then just whispers back, he's upstairs. [00:39:31] Speaker B: That gives me an idea. [00:39:35] Speaker F: Not a bad idea, but it gives me an idea. [00:39:37] Speaker B: Okay, I'm sorry. Am I to understand that Zafir is. [00:39:41] Speaker A: Standing in the middle of partying? [00:39:47] Speaker E: The guards have already figured that I am a troublemaker, so they're probably like, oh, he's just being weird. [00:39:57] Speaker F: So while this message from Zephyr is coming through, Neros will back away for a moment, turn, and get one of the drinks that she set down on the table, and just whisper, he's upstairs. [00:40:10] Speaker H: LeaVe me alone. [00:40:13] Speaker F: She has a drink, and then hands. [00:40:14] Speaker E: One of the drinks to the guard immediately. I turn around, he's upstairs. [00:40:18] Speaker B: Leave her alone. [00:40:21] Speaker C: He immediately just left. [00:40:25] Speaker G: Amy, to be honest, he is probably either caught in trouble or getting more information. [00:40:38] Speaker A: But the thing is that while Uber is saying this, you can kind of see he's trying to make excuses and. [00:40:45] Speaker G: He doesn't quite believe them himself. [00:40:48] Speaker C: You know, he doesn't care about any of us. [00:40:51] Speaker G: He is of a single mind. [00:40:53] Speaker E: He is going to miss the announcement. [00:40:55] Speaker C: That is true. [00:40:57] Speaker G: And what I want to know is, if we see and listen to the announcement, what of this Oracle. [00:41:09] Speaker E: Howard? [00:41:09] Speaker C: Yes. [00:41:10] Speaker E: You can leave if you really want to. [00:41:12] Speaker C: No, then we wouldn't get any information. [00:41:15] Speaker G: Exactly. [00:41:16] Speaker E: So we stay here. [00:41:17] Speaker C: No, I'm just saying, if it comes to us leaving, I don't think we should worry about Hamir. [00:41:21] Speaker E: I mean, I'm not really worrying about him. I think he can take care of himself, so he'll probably meet up with us when he needs to. [00:41:27] Speaker G: Okay, so here's the question before we three decide whether or not we're going to leave Hamir behind, which I am not 100% agreeing on that. We do need to ask Neros if she's okay with that, too. She is part of the party. [00:41:40] Speaker E: I don't think she cares. She said, leave her alone. [00:41:43] Speaker G: But we also can't just leave her behind. [00:41:45] Speaker C: But we're not going to leave her behind. Why would we leave her behind? [00:41:49] Speaker E: Her words were, leave me alone. [00:41:51] Speaker C: If need be, we'll go grab her and leave, and then Amir can figure himself out. [00:41:55] Speaker G: Well, we need to at least warn her that if we do leave, we're leaving Hamir behind. [00:41:58] Speaker E: Do you want me to stab the guard? [00:42:00] Speaker B: As you're discussing, there's this, like, ting ting ting ting ting ting noise. [00:42:04] Speaker E: We talked for 20 minutes. [00:42:06] Speaker C: It's dinner time. [00:42:07] Speaker E: Don't stab the guard. [00:42:09] Speaker B: The room goes quiet and everybody looks to see a woman standing on the stairs, and she's, like, clinking a spoon against a glass. She is. [00:42:19] Speaker F: Everybody. [00:42:20] Speaker B: Well, everybody. [00:42:23] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:42:23] Speaker B: At this point, I should mention, Gwib just suddenly breaks off from the kiss and remembers where he is and what he's supposed to be doing. And he's got to. I'll be back. [00:42:38] Speaker E: He hears a whisper in his ear. [00:42:40] Speaker H: Good boy. [00:42:45] Speaker D: He looks at you from before. [00:42:53] Speaker B: Meanwhile, on the grand staircase that's in the center of that main room is a woman who looks like she has Elvish blood, though she's not fully Elvish, and she's like, clinging a spoon against the side of a glass and she's like, attention, everyone. It is time for our announcement. [00:43:12] Speaker E: What can I hear from my symbol? Is it the same thing? [00:43:17] Speaker B: Yes. Okay, please, everyone, a warm round of applause to welcome Mother. And everybody starts applauding as coming down the stairs, being carried in a litter, is this elderly woman who's all skin and bones. And as she reaches that middle flight where the stairs go up before it splits off and goes off to the left and off to the right, they kind of just stop there and set the litter down, and the room just goes silent. [00:43:54] Speaker E: I follow suit, I stay silent. [00:44:00] Speaker B: And the old woman is like, welcome. [00:44:04] Speaker H: Welcome, one and all. Aerid sons alike, sons and daughters of the true High King, the time for our arising and taking our rightful place is drawing nigh. You may have heard from your patriarchs about the progress that we have made, but tonight we have exceptionally good news. Bring out the head of the High King. [00:44:48] Speaker B: And as she's saying that another man wearing no mask comes down the stairs and is carrying the helmet that you all found in the cave at the beginning of the story. [00:45:03] Speaker C: What's he look like? [00:45:04] Speaker B: He looks like a young man with blonde hair. He's actually familiar to you all. You would know him as Sigmund Aridson. [00:45:15] Speaker C: I knew he was going to come. [00:45:17] Speaker E: Throws up in his mouth a little. [00:45:20] Speaker H: After many years of searching, hoping and preparation, the time for our ascension is nigh. As the final piece in the puzzle has been reclaimed by none other than our own Siggy Ericsson. [00:45:41] Speaker E: Screw that guy. [00:45:43] Speaker H: The newest member to our inner circle and a promising young captain. [00:45:51] Speaker B: There's like a ripple of applause and also kind of malcontent through the crowd. As you can tell that some people are just on board with this, and others just clearly don't think that he deserves all of this laud and glory. [00:46:06] Speaker A: Uvair politely joins along. [00:46:09] Speaker H: The time will soon come for us to rise up and take this land by force. And when it comes, I know that I can count on each one of you to do your duty to place the High King on the throne he deserves and thusly claim your place in a new order that will be ushered in. You will receive your reward for your dutiful service to the undying King Aarid. Remember, he watches over each one of us, and he knows who serves him faithfully. But for tonight, it is a time for feasting and a time for celebration. So be merry and rejoice. That is all. [00:47:08] Speaker B: And the crowd erupts into applause once more. [00:47:12] Speaker E: Zephyr throws up in his mouth again. [00:47:14] Speaker B: I love being a part of this family. [00:47:16] Speaker E: Those quiches were not quiches. [00:47:18] Speaker B: And the two men lift the litter and begin carrying her back upstairs as the applause continues. [00:47:27] Speaker A: No, no. [00:47:28] Speaker D: Jade Lightning. [00:47:29] Speaker B: The woman with Elvish blood, kind of like, glances across the room, and then, one by one, makes eye contact with each one of you four. [00:47:38] Speaker E: I close my eyes. Can't make eye contact if they're not open. [00:47:42] Speaker A: Uber notices that that's a direct thing. And very calmly, just stares back, kind of like a. Well, okay, it's time to feast. [00:47:51] Speaker B: One by one, each of you hear in the back of your mind, I would speak with you upstairs should you have the time. In the voice of that woman with Elvish blood. [00:48:05] Speaker E: Do I hear anything through my symbol, or is it past time? [00:48:08] Speaker B: You don't hear that in your symbol because it was in your mind. [00:48:13] Speaker E: Well, I'm just wondering if she says. [00:48:14] Speaker D: Anything out loud, mind or, like, a message? [00:48:17] Speaker C: Yeah, I was about to ask that. [00:48:18] Speaker B: Like a message. [00:48:19] Speaker C: Okay, so we saw, like, her. [00:48:21] Speaker B: Ooh. [00:48:21] Speaker A: If that's the case, Uever might actually have an answer. [00:48:24] Speaker F: I have a question for her. [00:48:27] Speaker D: One by one. [00:48:28] Speaker A: Yeah, one by one. [00:48:29] Speaker B: Start with Uber. [00:48:30] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:48:33] Speaker G: I think that we will have to make the time. Pretty lady. [00:48:37] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. She's hitting on the help. Oh, wait, she's hitting on the bad guy girl. [00:48:44] Speaker E: Bad girl. [00:48:45] Speaker D: She's hitting on the Alchemist. [00:48:47] Speaker B: She does not make response to Uber's remark. Neros what floor? She does respond to that third floor. [00:48:56] Speaker D: I would have liked to know that. [00:49:00] Speaker C: I knew it. They didn't believe me, but I knew it. [00:49:05] Speaker D: They all said Howard was crazy. [00:49:09] Speaker E: So how do you expect us to get past these ropes? [00:49:17] Speaker B: So as she's been messaging all of this, she's like slowly walking up the stairs, following the old woman. And that last message where she sends to Zafir, and he's like, how do you expect us to get through the ropes? She just like, stops, looks over her shoulder and just smirks and then keeps going upstairs. [00:49:35] Speaker E: I can obviously walk around them, but I'm not supposed to. [00:49:44] Speaker A: I can imagine Zafir just starts walking towards the staircase and who, Ferreir just grabs his shoulder and says, where are you going? [00:49:51] Speaker E: You know that scene from Shrek where he's walking through the queue and he's just grabbing all of the ribbons as he walks forward? That's what I'm imagining with the one tape thing, the embroidered rope. I'm just going to walk into it and I mean, if you stop me. [00:50:12] Speaker A: I guess I was about to say Uber. That's why I said, Uber is going to grab your shoulder and just go. Where are you going? [00:50:17] Speaker E: Upstairs. [00:50:18] Speaker G: The staircase is over there. [00:50:20] Speaker E: Wait, you heard it too? [00:50:22] Speaker G: Yes, I heard it too. [00:50:24] Speaker E: Okay. I promise. [00:50:26] Speaker C: I told you. [00:50:28] Speaker G: It doesn't matter now, does it? [00:50:29] Speaker C: Not really know. [00:50:30] Speaker G: There's no kidding. Accesses. [00:50:32] Speaker C: I mean, we could leave. [00:50:33] Speaker E: I'm prepared to die on this hill. Staircase. [00:50:38] Speaker C: Where's Gibbs? [00:50:43] Speaker B: Gwib, during that whole announcement was just like, standing at attention, trying to look completely composed. And as the thing is ending, he just turns to Neeras and is like, I'm sorry, my shift is over. I'll be out back. [00:51:00] Speaker C: I think while the gods are changing shift, we can just make our way upstairs. [00:51:08] Speaker D: Someone won tonight. [00:51:11] Speaker C: It was GwiBs. But I think we can just make our way upstairs while no one's watching. [00:51:18] Speaker E: I don't care if anyone's not watching. [00:51:20] Speaker G: Just go upstairs. There's a back way. [00:51:21] Speaker E: The backstairs. [00:51:22] Speaker G: Yes. [00:51:23] Speaker E: Grab neuros. Let's go. [00:51:24] Speaker G: Yes. It is time. I am lost my appetite. [00:51:28] Speaker B: Appetite, appetite, appetite. Euros. [00:51:32] Speaker H: Follow us. [00:51:33] Speaker F: Was that a message? [00:51:34] Speaker E: Yes. [00:51:35] Speaker F: Okay. [00:51:36] Speaker E: I don't know how close you are. She looks disappointed from where you are standIng. Follow us. [00:51:43] Speaker F: Okay. [00:51:43] Speaker E: And I guess we're going to go right next to you because that's where the stairs are. Because I was going to go up the grand staircase. [00:51:50] Speaker C: I thought about it. [00:51:51] Speaker E: You all don't want me to. [00:51:52] Speaker F: I don't know that that's a good idea. [00:51:53] Speaker A: Not bring attention from everyone in the room. [00:51:56] Speaker E: I think considering, like, the grand health. [00:51:59] Speaker C: The Grand Elf. [00:52:00] Speaker E: Grand Elf lady said to do it. [00:52:03] Speaker C: Sure. [00:52:03] Speaker A: That nobody say verbally. [00:52:04] Speaker C: Yeah, she just messaged us quietly. [00:52:06] Speaker G: Okay, let's not go after the creepy lady with the helmet that we thought was safe in the other town. [00:52:12] Speaker B: You think that's the real helmet? Now that I think about it, yes. [00:52:14] Speaker G: That'S a real helmet. [00:52:15] Speaker H: How do you know? What if it's just a copy? [00:52:18] Speaker E: I've looked at it very closely, but this party was planned before brain farted. [00:52:26] Speaker C: Before they had the helmet. [00:52:27] Speaker E: Yes, this party was planned. [00:52:29] Speaker G: Do you mean the fact while we had the helmet? You mean the fact that they were so desperately looking for the helmet because of this party? [00:52:34] Speaker E: But they wouldn't have had the party if they didn't have the helmet. [00:52:37] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:52:38] Speaker C: You can cancel a party. [00:52:40] Speaker E: Not on this scale. [00:52:41] Speaker C: Yes, you can. [00:52:42] Speaker E: Have you ever hosted a party? [00:52:43] Speaker C: No, but I've helped my. [00:52:45] Speaker G: Maybe the rules are different. [00:52:46] Speaker D: Maybe you didn't invite me. [00:52:48] Speaker C: I didn't know you. [00:52:49] Speaker D: That's true. [00:52:50] Speaker E: I don't have any friends. This is a long staircase. [00:52:53] Speaker B: As you're heading up the stairs, no. Two guards come down, one of them male, one of them female. [00:52:59] Speaker C: Oh, I would like to use one of our preparation points. [00:53:03] Speaker F: All right, that's a thing. [00:53:07] Speaker C: I'm going to basically quick hand the forged documents and be like, we have a meeting set up with the thing and try to just get past them like that. [00:53:15] Speaker B: Got you. So you quickhand, you show them those documents. They kind of get a chance to look at them. It looks legit. You all seem very confident, so they're like, hey, you know what you're doing? [00:53:27] Speaker E: We were asked to be here. [00:53:29] Speaker C: It's not lying, sort of. [00:53:31] Speaker A: We all look very serious, except for. [00:53:34] Speaker E: You, who's wearing a tiny corset. [00:53:39] Speaker A: That's very true. Is near us. With us. [00:53:44] Speaker F: Yes, she's there, but she asks Gwibbs to hang out just a smidge, and she'll meet him out there. After a little bit. [00:53:56] Speaker C: I have some business, but stick around. [00:54:02] Speaker E: Don't leave him hanging. [00:54:05] Speaker B: As the four of you are getting towards the top of the stairs, same as happened with Hamir. You're hearing voices at the top of the third floor stairs. [00:54:13] Speaker D: They're moving the same couch. [00:54:17] Speaker E: They're just moving it back and forth. They're like video game end with one program movement. [00:54:22] Speaker A: Would you stop dropping things? [00:54:27] Speaker B: As you pause and listen? It's several voices. There's a higher pitched voice, and there's like a gruff voice. Somebody starts laughing. Another guy is just like, can we. [00:54:37] Speaker H: Just get on with this? [00:54:40] Speaker E: Does anybody know the name of that elf lady? [00:54:43] Speaker G: No, I don't know. [00:54:46] Speaker D: I do. [00:54:47] Speaker E: You're not here. [00:54:48] Speaker C: Do any of the voices sound? [00:54:51] Speaker B: None of them sound particularly familiar until you hear. [00:54:54] Speaker H: Now, let us call this meeting to order. [00:55:00] Speaker B: And that's where we'll end this episode. [00:55:05] Speaker C: My brain's confused. [00:55:08] Speaker D: This is awesome. [00:55:09] Speaker A: Now we got to wait till the 8th. [00:55:12] Speaker B: All right, Abby, you got the hero point for this episode. For the interesting story elements that your character has brought in recently. [00:55:21] Speaker E: Wonderful payoff. [00:55:22] Speaker F: They're very in character. What can I say? [00:55:24] Speaker E: It was great. [00:55:24] Speaker D: Nine out of ten. [00:55:26] Speaker F: Okay, so I chose roll back play. After an attack or effect causes you to become grabbed or knocks you prone. You roll backwards instead landing on your feet. Take a step away from the source of the attack, and you're no longer prone to grabbed. [00:55:40] Speaker A: Nice. [00:55:41] Speaker F: Yeah. All right. Thank you for that, I guess. And I am going to go bury my head in the sand like an ostrich. [00:55:57] Speaker B: And we'll see you all in the next episode. This has been an atomic broadcasting production. Pathfinder, Galerian, and the lost omens world setting are copyright of Pizzo. More [email protected] music in the show is from Monument Studios collection, as well as assorted artists with some original tracks composed by Jordy Hake. More details in the description. [00:56:34] Speaker E: Oh, no, don't do that. [00:56:37] Speaker F: I'm going to crap. [00:56:39] Speaker E: Now is not the time.
